Never tried this cafe before. It's right next to the healthy living centre so have often walked past it. I started with a chocolate brownie which was delicious, very moist and a hot chocolate, which was very tasty if I was cooking the bacon at home I would have cut the fat off. The sausage was very tasty. I really should remember to ask or say no marg/butter on a roll. As the roll came automatically with butter/marg on. In this day and age a cafe should be thinking of health factors. Especially being next to the healthy living centre. The raspberry cake looked lovely, maybe next time I'm up that way.

We booked for a family 80th birthday celebration and it went brilliantly. Staff are so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Food was excellent, and the ambience perfect. The owners were amazing, ensuring are wishes were followed to the letter which made the event so special for our Aunt. We were able to arrive early to set up the decorations - everyone was so helpful.

Went here a few years ago and was great but seems to have gone downhill. Food was alright for the price but tasted like stuff you can do at home. Staff didn't interact with us at all and when I asked a question regarding a fire alarm going off I got a shrug, now this wouldn't have bothered me if I wasn't with my autistic child who at the time was in a massive crying meltdown because of it.

Looked on line for a carvery and found some good reviews for the Saxon. It turned out to be a very dissapointing visit. When we entered the car park it looked rather neglected. Entering the pub and things looked slightly better and we were served at the bar quite quickly. The restaurant was empty, the tables whilst clean were completely empty . There was also nothing on the walls so the room felt very stark and empty. The food was on one heated trolley and the meats were pre carved in dishes which wasn't a good sign as I always thought a carvery was where you carved the meat to serve it. We were served fairly promptly but som of the food was not yet on the trolley. On taking the plate I noticed it was very cold, when we got sat down we found the broccole was nearly cold and because the plates were cold, the food soon became cool. The rest of the food was cooked pretty well but nothing to praise up. We won't be visiting again.

Went for drinks with a group of friends, all over the age of 18. First round of drink bought without iding, went to order second round. While ordering the same person went up there was asked for id, bear in mind the same person go served the first time without the id. Drinks have been taking outside to the seating area. One of the workers came outside with a horrible attitude trying to take the drinks away. One of the people didn’t have their id. She wanted to take the drinks away when asked for refund her attitude towards all of us was awful.

A vibrant venue that has so much to offer. A cafe lounge, a restaurant, Bar, a hotel, all in one, each with its' own individual identity and feel. Relax in the coffee lounge with coffee and cake, Enjoy a healthy, sumptuous, great value meal in the restaurant or why not stop over night as part of your holiday or a romantic stop over perhaps? Great for couples, families, friends or for the solo traveller, Breckland lodge was on our bucket list of places to visit and we were not dissapointed. The carvery is very popular indeed and booking in advance is highly recommended in order to not be dissapointed. Personally, I found it one of the best I have been to, and I go to a few. Do check this out!

Well situated cafe in the market place. Arrived at lunchtime on a sunny day so it was busy and all the tables outside were taken. On entering we received a friendly, smiley welcome and were shown a free table. Later discovered that there was also seating upstairs, so plenty of room. We ordered coffees, a fruit scone and a cheese scone. Everything arrived promptly. The scones were both warmed and tasted delicious, the coffees were good too. Not long to wait to pay our bill at the counter and we left feeling refreshed. We would definitely return.

Stayed for 2 nights to do some walking and running in the Yorkshire dales. Location is brilliant and it looks nice and cozy from the outside. However, the bedrooms are very tired and need a complete refurbishment. Tired decor and old worn and stained carpets - felt very grubby - the bed was comfy though. The food was ok, nothing amazing. Don’t think we’ll be going back.
