I was surprised at how good their food was. Got a starter of halloumi fries, a main of pasta and a dessert of brownie. All cooked/baked brilliantly! All in all, great food!

Had a lovely family meal Saturday lunchtime, 3 children 4 adults. Big portions, good quality food and came in good time. Children loved their meals and prices were reasonable. Nice children's playground and huge green across the road, very close to Gressenhall workhouse which we were spending the day at but needed a hot meal to fit in with plans. Would definitely go again!

Not the first time ive been here and certainly wont be the last, myself and my partner both had the fish and chips ( i say fish more the size of a whale 😂). Excellent value for money, delicious food made by the head chef, and the bar girl ( jodie, i believe) was very welcomming. Atmosphere was lovely as well. Could not speak more highly of this community pub, will be returning very soon.

Booked for valentines and was expecting to be in the main pub but we were sat in the "cart shed" which was cold and lacked atmosphere. Our starters and desserts were average at best. The mains of steak and steak and kidney pie were very nice. Staff were nice. Most likely wouldn't return.

I never complain and usually just put up and shut up but sorry The Swan I had to write this. The most awful meal I have ever had and my family agreed. Completely raw cabbage (pic attached) and the rest of the veg very undercooked. Tough meat and potatoes that you could not even cut into they were so hard. When we were lucky enough to get into one it was black (pic attached). They gave us 10% off which was a bit of a joke being as the meal was so appalling.

The food was served in a very poor way, with attitude. I tried to cut into my potato but really needed a carving knife and when I achieved that was black inside. The cabbage served was Raw, and I mean Raw. OMG what is going on with the chef here and when I complained about the quality of the food given they were not impressed I had done and all the said was we will refund your meal by 10%. What the F…! Hey, message to the chef Take up something else, and quickly. I will not come back nor recommend you either.

Superb village community pub. Beautiful from the outside, now an asset to the green with an interesting interior, clean and modern but still retains the character of a village pub. Food was superb (we all had Hunters Chicken with desserts). The service at lunchtime was fabulous - the lady at the bar made us feel like old friends and was attentive but not intrusive. We loved our visit here and hopefully will go again soon.

At last we've found a pub that's open on a Monday for drink and even better, for food! We saw some whale and chips being delivered to tables around us but had the breads in oil starter-incredible.. Then the pork and venison sausage main with colcannon mash potatoes and greens- simply the best sausage and mash ever. We were stuffed by this point but couldn't leave without trying the cheese and biscuits, which was plenty for 2. Lovely lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff too! A lovely stop on a bike tour of Norfolk. The "starter" salad with black beans and nuts was creative, delicious, wholesome, and a perfect energy boost before getting back on the road. I stuck to soft drinks but the jars showing the liquid of each beer on tap was informative and sampling was offered too. Also very impressed with the free-to-use cycle maintenance station in the outdoor seating area by the bike park - air pump with gauge and every tool you might need for a quick repair or possibly even something more serious. Thoroughly recommend.

We ordered two Sunday Roast Beef, one pork belly and a burger. Service was quick and d very friendly. The food didn’t take long to arrive and each plate looked a d tasted delicious. Only one word of criticism would be that the chips that came with the burger were cold. However they were soon replaced without any hassle. Overall a lovely venue and would definitely eat here again.

Following several previously good visits, our meal last night was a huge disappointment. We ordered just mains but it took over an hour and a half for the food to arrive, with no warning or apologies until we chased. When the food did turn up, they were all sub-standard, even for basic pub food. The gammon was inedibly overcooked (and took another 15min to replace) and the chicken supreme was a tiny piece of dry chicken with very sorry looking sides. It also seems we weren't the only ones having issues with people complaining of poorly cooked food and excessive wait times. In the end issues were blamed on a lack of kitchen staff and an inexperienced second chef, so I'd suggest avoiding until this is resolved.

After this i had ordered the specialty burger they do, cant remember what it was called exactly and my company had ordered the hunters chicken, was a shame we couldn’t finish it all due to large portions but however was delicious. Lovely building, it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Parking is limited but we managed to find a spot up the road. The people behind the bar were welcoming and made an effort to put Christmas decorations on our table as we had the festive menu. We were let down by our food unfortunately. I had the Brie wedges for starter which were nice but very simple and i felt were no better than ones you could buy from the supermarket. My partner had the spiced cranberry chicken wings. The sauce was very sour and because of the amount of sauce he struggled to eat them because you couldn’t pick them up and cutting the meat off of the bone was difficult. For main we both had the turkey roast. Meat and pigs in blankets were lovely!! Veg was very hard.only just cooked and roast potatoes weren’t crispy. Could have had more gravy too, red cabbage was really nice though. We felt the food let this place down as service was good overall. There was a lady training and I felt she should have been shadowing as she wasn’t sure what to ask us and when asked if I wanted a starter and I’d given my order she was already walking away before my partner could order his. We would return to try the normal menu because that looked really lovely.

We came here for restaurant week as their menu looked very good, however the execution was absolutely terrible. The short rib was inedible, tough, dry, impossible to cut with a knife and even more impossible to chew - when questioned, we were informed that the chef said it was “supposed to be like that” which is insanity, the short rib was very clearly under braised, either the chef doesn’t have a clue about his own craft or doesn’t care about the food he puts out. My partner had the game stew which again sounded amazing, but I’ve never seen a stew that was just dry lumps of meat with no sauce or gravy, when asked for some gravy we were told that they have ran out (at 1pm). There was a lack of seasoning throughout courses. We didn’t stay for the desserts after such disappointing mains. Front of house team were very nice and apologetic.

Never tried this cafe before. It's right next to the healthy living centre so have often walked past it. I started with a chocolate brownie which was delicious, very moist and a hot chocolate, which was very tasty if I was cooking the bacon at home I would have cut the fat off. The sausage was very tasty. I really should remember to ask or say no marg/butter on a roll. As the roll came automatically with butter/marg on. In this day and age a cafe should be thinking of health factors. Especially being next to the healthy living centre. The raspberry cake looked lovely, maybe next time I'm up that way.
