Had a Sunday roast lunch with my wife daughter son-in-law and 2 granddaughters on 27th of October as a celebration for my birthday on the 28th The best roast I have had away from home in a lot of years The roast spuds to die for the gravey do e the way my grandma used to do it and the beef was top notch Well done to Dave and Jess and all your team for making it special for us Hopefully we will see you again soon when we are down with caravan again All the best Steve Jan Luke Natasha Madison Sydney and not forgetting Dexter

A beautiful, cosy and family friendly pub. The superb staff were very patient and kind with our young kids which isn’t easy. The pub was decorated ready for Halloween and had a nice fire roaring.

Came to do a gig here and the place was amazing, lovely food and an incredible atmosphere

Our local pub and go to place for Sunday roast , outside catering , Christmas work dos’and any time we fancy a good home cooked meal . Fabulous themed menus all cooked with love by Jess. Great garden with lots of space and very family friendly. Great pub and best Sunday roast for miles !

An absolutely wonderful Sunday lunch, attentive staff very affable landlord, with a tough of individuality, the only thing I would say is that, all the veg, red cabbage, carrots, parsnips, cauliflower cheese, potatoes, were all delicious, it would have been nice to have a little bit of green, (not kale though, I think the Nags have cornered the market on that particular veg, as it’s the only one you get), well done to all of the staff. 👏👏👏

Went to the Dee and middy drag show there the garden party was very well put together and the meal I had was a dirty swan was the best meal I have had out in months and my partner had a tuna salad and that looks amazing very good on price to and staff are lovely and the little cute dog walking around made my nite lovely pub well remembered for nite out thank you so much to the chef and bar team that made my nite out a good one 😁

Just returned from a father's day feast. Highly recommend the swanday roast. A great meal in a great setting, lovely to be in a traditional styled pub. Portion size very good at a very reasonable price, quality of meal is up there as one of the best I've had. The landlord Dave, Jess and there Staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Will be recommending to friends and Family and we are already looking forward to a return to the pub. Stuffed and ready for a lay down now.

Owner is rude and unwelcoming,half our party hadn’t even got through the front door before we turned around and left,would avoid this place…the pub 3 doors up is much more welcoming

On entering the landlord told us dogs weren't welcome. Half of our party sat in the garden. Others visiting were told not to play board games as they were setting up for a festival. Also told the kids to stop playing in the play park. We went back to the Nags Head as they were welcoming and did excellent food. Didn't get a chance to try the food in the Swan as they were so rude. I'd avoid based on our experience.

Stayed in the village for 2 nights and tried the swan out for a couple of drinks, welcome was great, atmosphere was friendly and the owner and the bar maid made the whole visit perfect, the barmaid was smiley,friendly, informative and really made you free she was happy to be conversing with you, Dave and Jess and don’t know the barmaids name, keep doing what you are doing you have a truly wonderful set up,all the very best from Leeds

Absolutely fabulous, the landlord, his wife and all the staff were very helpful friendly and professional, nothing was an issue. The food was really tasty, burgers chips and salad together with homemade coleslaw brilliant.. The pub itself was lovely, vintage theme to match the building. Excellent, highly recommended, will be back SOON

Had roast beef for Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly, and made us and the dog feel welcomed.

Really good experience last night, great quality food and drinks and very reasonable costs. Only downside was dining room lacked atmosphere and was a bit chilly (no heating or fires on), but a good experience nevertheless.

Sunday lunch at the Swan proved to be the first of many to come. A warm welcome from a very smartly dressed landlord, pre-ordered lunch was nicely served and proved to be well cooked and well presented. The setting could not be better, as the Swan is the quintessential British pub, with loads of beams and a huge fire - in fact an old coaching inn, and still looks the part. Booking is essential, and the abundance of parking would be no problem for out of towners. We villagers are blessed to have two excellent pubs in our village. Excellent value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

I visited this lovely village pub with four friends for Sunday lunch and we weren’t disappointed. Great atmosphere, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We felt very welcome and the staff are all efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal then my gorgeous wife Åsa, Vince and Paul took their turn in singing at the open mic night, thanks to the landlord and landlady Dave, Jess and staff for a great evening with fantastic atmosphere, many thanks to all the other singers and musicians for their great performances. Absolutely fantastic Christmas meal here with friends.

Jess and Dave have created a lovely local pub with amazing food cooked from fresh ingredients. The pub is warm, clean and has an enthusiastic welcome from the front gate and throughout a visit. We often have a take out, especially on a Thursday theme night and I have never been disappointed, the pies are to die for. Great pub with a great team.

Best pub in the village!! It's a lovely place for a family, dinner for two or a good drink! The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is amazing! You'll never leave feeling hungry, that's guaranteed! The roast is hands down the BEST I've EVER had and the Buckets that are served at weekends are my go to takeaway every time. Not only a brilliant pub but they run so many fun events like Drag Bingo, Winter Swanderland where the kids can meet Father Christmas, band nights and plenty more! Jessie & Dave are fab and I couldn't recommend The Swan more highly!! 💕

Highly recommend The Swan , we are lucky it’s on our doorstep and a great place to eat. Sunday lunch is the best around. We’ve also used their party catering services and were amazed at the quality and great value. Also lots of events going on st the Pub too . Always a super friendly welcome and a lovely family atmosphere.

Excellent service and excellent food

We had Sunday luch here with some friends, the food was excellent, one of the best roast dinners that I have had in a very long time. I had the beef and my wife had the chicken and our friends had chicken and chicken with pork. The desserts were also very nice, I had the belgian waffles and my wife had the strawberry sundae. The service was very warm and welcoming, a real gem of a pub. I would recommend booking in advance and pre-ordering mains to avoid dissapointment, we do not live locally but we will definitely find an excuse to return.

Lovely little boozer. Decent line up at the bar too. We ordered some grub and it was so good. Ate the big daddy burger (which was banging) and the old lady had to roll me home. Best chips I ever had. Landlord is a lovely bloke and the staff were friendly and looked after us. I can't wait to go back again.

Eaten at The Swan twice this week , pizza night and Sunday lunch and both meals were delicious. Pizzas were home-made, good choice of toppings which they didn’t skimp on. Roast dinner was amazing. Couldn’t want for any more choice of food, cauliflower cheese best ever! Always a friendly welcome at our local pub.

The best roast dinner we have ever had when dining out. Everything was freshly homemade. The meat was tender and succulent. The roast potatoes were amazing as was the gravy! Would definitely highly recommend.

We tried this pub for a family Sunday lunch d it was a bit strange. This is a lovely old building but it is filled with the most bizarre collection of unrelated objects. The staff were friendly and welcoming.. Our pre-ordered Sunday roasts were delivered promptly and the quality was very average for the price. later on several other customers arrived and the bar was very busy indeed. The food and atmosphere could be best described as homely. Would we return - probably not despite loving the building with its roaring fires in the inglenook fireplaces which created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Staying local I had been recommended The Swan. When I visited, I was warmly welcomed by bar staff. Asked about food and it was explained that it was a themed menu for the evening, called "Winter Warmers". A choice of three, typically homely, home cooked dishes. I chose Chicken Casserole and dumplings. Something I haven't had for decades. When it arrived it smelt and tasted soooo good, I could have ordered seconds! It was well seasoned, perfectly cooked homemade food. And after a day working outside in wet weather, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Waiting staff fabulous. Attentive and kind. 100% coming back here when in the area again.

We are staying at Forest Holidays and fancied a Sunday lunchtime quick drink. Had our 2 Alaskan Malamute dogs with us and we sat in the covered garden. The owner couldn’t have been more welcoming and told us we could sit inside with the dogs, but we stayed outside as the weather was ok. On a Sunday the pub only serves roast dinners and so that’s what we had. I’m a fussy non meat eater (just because I don’t like it), and so the kitchen piled my plate with everything except for the meat. Husband said his beef/pork roast was lovely and we had enough veg for the two of us. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and gravy very tasty. Walked away very full and satisfied - couldn’t manage deserts. Great price too - £23 for 2 huge plates.

Me and boyfriend just had two Sunday roast beef dinners and omg it was amazing! Full of flavour and a good big portion with a huge yorkie 😁 We are both stuffed with bellys full. Highly recommend eating here! Can't wait to go back and try something else 😋 Must say the pub itself is very welcoming and warm, lovely staff and two beautiful pups ❤️

Had a Sunday Roast today must say it was average. What got me was we were only one of 2 tables.the talbe opposite was asked if they wanted more drinks, and the chap asked for a lemonade which the waitress went & got for him. She then came to our talbe to clear it!, I asked for another beer & was told I had to go to the bar to order??? Now I don’t mind walking to the bar but should be the same for every one!!😞

We visited for the first time today and we had the loveliest meal. The service was great and friendly and the food was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection and we're still full after. I had a vegetarian option whilst my partner and son had the meat - I was given a seperate pot of gravy with my meal which was lovely and thoughtful. They also accommodated our son amazingly (who is 2 and a half) he has sensory issues relating to food and dietary requirements but they happily allowed us to accommodate his/our needs and he had a lovely time. Which meant we were able to enjoy a lovely family meal out, something that we are not often able to do. Thanks so much and can't wait to come back. 😊

Excellent. This 17th century coaching inn is full of warmth and atmosphere. Set in a lovely village, it has extensive gardens and plenty of undercover seating for when the weather is inclement. There is a large walled car park to the rear. The food is superb and reasonably priced. I can heartily recommend the Sunday roast that you would find hard to beat anywhere. Also there is a good selection of perfectly kept real ales. The landlord and landlady make what must be extremely hard work seem effortless with humour, kindness and smiles aplenty, this conveys to the locals who are also welcoming ,informative and friendly. I highly recommend that you visit at your earliest convenience. I only wish that i lived closer.

Wouldnt let us in with a child. No one sat in the pub at all. Seems a bit daft if you ask me. Clearly doing far to well to not need customers 🤣 Reply to reply. I accept that businesses are changing rules, I have no issues with that. However the day before this incident I was in your beer garden with a friend when a man and what looked like his young daughter walked in, ordered drinks, crisps and sat down with no issues. But not to worry, thanks for your response. I'll take note not to drink in your pub in future as kids are not welcome.

Lovely local pub, Jess and Dave are fantastic owners, the try to do everything they can to make their customers feel welcome and wanted.

We stayed here as our bed and breakfast was full up it's a pub with rooms pleasant food good but portions a little on the small side for the price comfy beds wifi hit and miss breakfast exceptional and they did come in early to do it so that's extra points to.

we were visiting east harling for a holiday and we had been in the Nags Head all day with our German shepherd. we thought we would try the swan inn. well we made it in the door before we was told that the owner had bad feelings about our dog who had literally had 3 dogs run up to him. we was welcome to stay if we sit outside. At no point did our dog bark or growl. We went back to the Nags head were our 'aggressive' German shepherd fell asleep.

Old fashioned Norfolk country pub. Good for a beer. Nice atmosphere but a bit tired in places. Warm and welcoming bar staff, not expensive

Street food stall in the car park, good beer, Thursday folkie night including skiffle,country,squeezebox,fiddle... A great night out.

Recommended by the Taxi driver and wasnt disappointed. Friendly welcome , nice atmosphere ,good selection of drinks so much so we went back the next evening. Good street food. Congratulations on a good local !!!! Hopefully will be back soon.
