The Stag Bar, Carvery & Restaurant in Breckland

Family of 4, amazing food, drinks order took minutes and then up to the carvery, l the food was excellent, service is second to none, then into the Bistro for dessert and coffee. All in all, a lovely meal.

Decided to give it another go to see if it had improved since taken over by the new chain. Unfortunately no better, atmosphere was not good. Food was OK, the steak hoggie is still the best. Now getting a bit overpriced, and aimed at passing trade rather than repeat customers. You cannot get light bites in the evening anymore I'm afraid, so popping in for a light dinner is now gone. Shame as i used to pop in every month, now only twice in a year, and both times unsatisfied. Not sure who it was that threw some packets of sauces on the table and walked away, but pretty much sums up the stale atmos.

Outrageously expensive drinks. £9.55 for a 250ml glass of chardonnay! After paying that, decided not to eat and not to return.

Called in here for a carvery after a brilliant day at Old Buckenham Air Show. This was the worst carvery we have ever had and it cost us £30!!! I had roast beef which was really tough and I had to leave most of it, my husband had the turkey which he said was nice. The veg..... roast potatoes when very hard, perhaps left under the hot lights for too long, the parsnips were nice. Carrots were extremely hard, cabbage under cooked and the peas were very hard too. Gravy too thin and could be a lot better. A real waste of money, we won't be returning!!!

Popped in with the family over from America on Saturday night . Have to say the BEST CARVERY EVER !!! We all absolutely loved our meals,and all the staff were so friendly and helpful . A credit to your fine establishment also popped home with a couple of cheeky fruit scones that were on offer ! Many thanks, everyone at the Stag,absolutely outstanding food and service

Sunday Lunch, Main Course: Carvery Cold plates, under cooked roast potatoes, barely cooked stuffing balls, over cooked roast miniature potatoes very chewable, cold veg and very difficult to reach as it was at the back of the counter. The cauliflower cheese; under cooked cauliflower, runny cheese sauce and cold, runny and cold gravy. Pudding: Excellent, 5 Stars Service: Waiters, Excellent 5 Stars 4 adult carvery 4 puds 2 alcohol slingsby with tonic 1 large cola 1 bottle water £110.36 including 5% tip

By far the best carvery I’ve ever had. I had the nut roast which was lovely, my husband had the beef and said it delicious. The roast potatoes and parsnips were cooked to perfection, with plenty of other sides to choose from. Staff were polite, attentive and efficient.

We stopped here on Sunday morning after returning from Stansted Airport and looking for somewhere to have breakfast. We didn’t know the layout of the building so went into the nearest room which was the coffee bar and asked if we could have breakfast. We were rather bluntly informed by a male member of staff that breakfast was served in the restaurant. We asked for directions and were told it was at the end of the building and then he turned his back on us. We found our way there and were told by another member of staff to find our own table as long as it wasn’t a reserved one. My husband ordered the full English breakfast and I ordered the Eggs Benedict, the restaurant was pretty empty but the orders took a while to arrive. My husband commented that whilst his meal looked quite good, mine wasn't very well presented. The hollandaise sauce was congealed and the eggs were stone cold. I asked a waitress if she would mind taking it back to the kitchen and ask for a replacement. She was apologetic and said that she would have a new one brought out to me. There was such a delay with this that my husband had finished his breakfast before my replacement arrived. It was delivered by the less than charming gentleman I had already spoken to on arrival. It was literally plonked down in front of me with no apology for the further delay. This plate looked even worse than the first and was still extremely cold. The hollandaise sauce was again congealed. I couldn’t eat it. We left it on the table and despite two waiting staff walking past neither commented on this. When we went to pay, they had included my breakfast on the bill. I politely explained that on both occasions the food was completely cold and that I wasn’t prepared to pay for my meal, only my husband’s. There was no acknowledgement of this. The bill was just screwed up and I was presented with a replacement. It came with no apology, just the card machine put in front of me. The service was as cold and unappealing as the food. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this venue, if they can’t get either service or food right when the place is pretty empty then I wouldn’t want to visit when it was busy. Very poor.

The service was good and everything was clean. We opted for the carvery the beef was almost raw and leaking blood onto the plate so I didn't have any of it. The other meats didn't look much better. Although the rest of the food looked good the roast potatoes tasted old and stale. The stuffing was hard. The cabbage and green beans were passable. The batter pudding was the best thing there. The food was all cold so not very enjoyable. For dessert I chose the chocolate brownie which was almost too hard to cut into. We were taken there by friends who were paying for the meal. Had it been us paying we would most certainly have complained.

1st place my family ever have been where water is poured in to lager and beer. It ruined the taste . It was done for many customers and I'm fairly sure it's not legal to do. Something to do with trade descriptions act. I used to work for a large brewery.

8 of us came for a family lunch. Very nice starters, loved the parsnip and apple soup. 7 had the carvery and 1 had a burger. Plenty of choices at the carvery. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. The staff were very helpful to my My mum who is a vegetarian and gluten free, and gave her many options, she was very impressed with the helpfulness and kindness, and wasn’t made to feel a nuisance. The Stag was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A very pleasant lunch, with great food and lovely staff. Thank you. Will definitely return

Came here for a birthday lunch , very saddened by the carvery as it seemed there wasn’t enough staff to man the serving of meat and prepare the vegetables. Although the carver was polite, he seemed under pressure by running back and forth to the kitchen. Resulting in the food being cold . When a couple of our group informed the waitress staff they were told to get another plate which wasn’t any better. More excuses were revealed which explained why the carver had not been at his station! When explained to another member of staff that we wasn’t impressed by the service considering it was a birthday celebration the reply was ‘ unfortunately we do not have spare cake!’ At that point I realised I needed to write this review. The food itself was tasty but unfortunately could have been amazing if it was warm .

Seven of us gathered to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, and opted for the carvery. A huge selection of different dishes on offer plus the usual roasts, this day there was beef, turkey and gammon. Accompaniments to name just a few were cauliflower cheese, roasties, parsnips, leeks in white sauce, Yorkshire puds, carrots, etc etc and believe me there were many other other things to choose from. So why only a 3* review I hear you ask? We all agreed that despite the vast selection it was really quantity over quality. My beef was very tough, I ended up wrapping it in a napkin and taking it home for the dogs. The roast potatoes were very hard, the carrots were overcooked, I won’t go on, but really, why not concentrate on fewer dishes and cook them well? On a positive note, all the staff we encountered were very polite and welcoming. We will return but probably not for the carvery.

Had lunch here today with friends who unfortunately were very late. The restaurant manager (I assume manager) was so helpful and accommodating, she helped us secure a table in the bar as our table had been booked by other guests. She couldn’t have been more kind. We will definitely be back as such a lovely place to meet. All our party who had the carvery said it was amazing, the 2 coeliacs in the party would have liked a bit more choice, however we had the gf chicken filler which was very tasty. Definitely be back!

Lovely meal with family , we all had different meals and all enjoyed , nice staff , Charlie at the bar very friendly , also the waiter pleasant , can’t remember the name tho . Decor really good , modern and inviting , Clean toilets also . Highly recommend

This is local to my daughter so we dropped in for dinner. We were unable to book so took a chance and found lots of spare tables. All for of us had the carvery and I have to say its the best we've had for a long while. The meat was well cooked and tender and amazing choice of vegetables and accompaniments. Service was friendly and efficient...wish we lived closer !!

Stopped off on way to Caister for a light bite I had prawn cocktail my husband had calamari very tasty. Robbie served us he very pleasant member of the team. Would highly recommend

A nice settling but unfortunately an dreadful meal. We had a table for four next to the carvery. The waitress took our order but later came back to take it again… not a good start! We all decided to have a carvery, one being a vegetarian nut roast. It all looked okay but on returning to the table, the roast potatoes were inedible, hard and tasted reheated. The cauliflower cheese tasted frozen. Obviously the runner beans, yorkshires and peas were frozen. The roasted parsnips and carrots were probably the only fresh veg cooked. They took so long to clear the table after finishing they missed out on dessert orders as our appetite had well and truly gone. I still have an unpleasant taste in my mouth this morning after an awful meal. At £14.50 a head it was very disappointing

Bacon roll. Sooo dry- bacon 50% fat and soggy. Expensive. Ordered at the bar. Coffee very nice but food was awful. Smear of avocado on the smashed avocado roll - needed a microscope to find it.

Birthday celebration turned into a rubbish meal out. Firstly one of the steak’s was medium to well done instead of medium rare. Staff couldn’t be bothered to ask us if we wanted more drinks and never bothered asking what dessert we wanted because they were...

Just not what it was since change of ownership summer 2022. Food mediocre, cheap ingredients. Homemade Thai curry glupey no sign of coconut milk. Burger nothing special. Aspalls cider gone! Going downhill, don't think we'll be going back

Called here at Lunchtime today. Not knowing the area, The Stag had been recommended. We weren't sure it would be open or serving food given it's a festive bank holiday but we're glad to see it was. We ordered 2 different panninis and some chips....

There's a reason I stopped going to a carvery and I shall not do it again. FOH staff very pleasant. Food was mediocre in my opinion. There's a high turnover from the grey pound and we were at the beginning of service but the potatoes...

Attended The Stag for my Dads 81st and although previous visits over the years have been good, this visit was truly sub-par. The Menu had been greatly reduced but since we were ordering carvery this wasn’t really going to be an issue. Well, I thought...

This was a regular haunt for breakfast pre-covid - but on our return we were disappointed with the food not up to the same standard and the "personality" somewhat missing

Table seating a free for all with them not being santatised in between diners. Food over priced with limited menu choice unless you like chicken. i had a cider and my partner had a lager tops, both were flat and undrinkable. Not very good value for money a chicken fillet burger £13.00!! Totally overated, will not be returning here.

Food really good. Service really efficient. Just felt like we were part of a well oiled machine! Maybe a little soulless, but nevertheless more than acceptable.

Under the circumstances of Covid, well organised, served right away, and didn’t wait long for the meal, which was delicious with well sized portions.

Not good went on the off chance. They said they had no tables and we could eat at the bar. Looking at the dining room there wasn't any one in there. There is a new layout and a bit complicated to find the bar he was talking about. So returned to ask the way. Got a rude response but found the way. Food was horrible. I manged to eat a bit of the side salad. The burger was drenched in oil. Which I might add was oozing out. My wife's chicken was pretty much the same. There was cheese melted all over everything but a very poor quality cheese. Bacon in the burger very fatty and oily. Again neither of us eat much. I took the burgers and the bacon home for our dog. Sorry guys you failed thete as well she refused it as well. My dog isn't fussy either when it comes to meat. The burger tasted more of a hamburger rather than a beef burger. Won't be returning any time soon. My advice give it a massive swerve go McDonald's save yourself £40 .

First day of lockdown restrictions easing and you’d have thought the bubonic plague had hit this useless place! No staff, tables left needing clearing so wasps gathering, can’t park in entrance area of car park (too generous apparently), not allowed inside at all without a mask (too dangerous), no staff coming outside (too dangerous). If this place goes bust it’s incredibly well deserved. Bravo for such a superb effort.Won’t be returning.

Tried to make a reservation online but couldn’t so emailed. Joanne, receptionist, came back to me and told me she would make the reservation for us which was great. Really helpful. When we arrived we used the no contact thermometer to check our temperature... as someone who takes temperatures ALL day at work, i can honestly say this machine is great. I want one!! Got escorted to our table and i explained i have dietary needs and asked to order a child’s meal. There was no problem with this at all and no questions asked. I ordered the carvery and can honestly say i couldn’t finish it all. The beef was tasty, you could tell the gammon was honey roasted and the turkey was moist. The cauliflower cheese was to die for. I am a bit of a foodie when it comes to mac or cauli cheese and can honestly say this was the best i have ever had, including my own!! Hubby had Halloumi Fingers with Chilli Jam for starters, which were huge.. almost like a whole block had been cut into 4 and crumbed and baked. I just had to taste and they were so good. He then had Belly Pork... this was also a generous sized portion and succulently cooked. Followed this with Raspberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake. The layer of raspberry coulis was at least a cm thick. Tasted so nice... a perfect balance between tart and sweet. Would 100% recommend this restaurant. Prices were excellent too. THANK YOU!!

The bar is part of the main building which includes the Bistro and the very popular Carvery. You are strongly advised to book if you want a Carvery meal.

Very pleasant and friendly place. The food was absolutely brilliant. The staff were all exceptional. And may I say totally COVID conscious temperature check on arrival and also checked in at the car park.

We visited on Saturday 29th August and were warmly greeted at the entrance with information regarding Covid procedures, all of which were sensible. On entering the building our temperature was taken by holding our wrist up. Hand sanitisers are situated throughout the building. We had a carvery which was displayed behind glass screens and was very tasty. All staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly which is not easy when wearing visors. The Stag have definitely got their procedures right and have kept eating out “as normal as possible” in these strange times.

Holidaying in Norfolk. Popped into The stag for lunch. At last an establishment that is dealing with COVID properly. A chap greets you in the car park to explain the procedures and take your track and trace details. Temperature taken and all staff have face shields. Sanitizer is plentiful. We have eaten out a lot this week and this is the first establishment doing this so if you're feeling nervous about heading out, this is the place to go. Truly deserve to be supported and the food and service was fantastic too.

We stopped off here on the off chance of a free table, on our way back from a long day house hunting in Norfolk. We were stopped by the man on the entrance gate, who was extremely polite and helpful. The set up, due to COVID was one of the best I’ve seen.There was luckily a table free outside, as we had 2 dogs also. The service was excellent, meals including kids meals was excellent. First time kids cleared their plates! We have always driven past saying we must go there, over the years. We are so glad we got the chance to try it, will definitely go back.

This was my first time eating out since Covid, was a little nervous but no need,great safety measures in place staff were excellent and all wore visors, tables well apart ,table and chairs cleaned after each use. Menu/drinks ordered system was easy and faultless.All staff were friendly and efficient.Now for the food, WOW it was wonderful, hot, tasty and fresh, I had slow roasted pork belly , mash and veg it was superb, hubby had scampi and chips which he really enjoyed.This was our first visit to the Stag and we will definatly be returning

My girlfriend and I were a little unsure about going out for our first meal since this covid 19 outbreak but our fears were alleviated as The Stag Restaurant have done a brilliant job with they layout,the staff were brilliant especially Natalie (think she was the Manager or Duty Manager)who had a lovely smile,very friendly and could not have been more helpful.The carvery was behind a wall of perspex (or plexiglass)and the chef(s) would serve up the plate as you chose what meats and vegetables you wanted ,finished off with a tasty turkey gravy,I like to drown my food so a waitress was more than happy to get me an extra gravy boat but you can also go up for more vegetables if needed.We felt so comfortable and relaxed at this restaurant,staff were great and the carvery was delicious,we will be going back again soon,thanks to everybody there,we highly recommend this place,Keith and Lynne

We actually only live 15 mins away but have never been before, that’s our loss. The food was unreal, good value and large portions. We will be coming back with the rest of the family very soon 🥰

Party of 4 adults ordered Bacon rollsX 2, soup of the day and panini Ham roll.Sides of chips were a bit small in portion size.Overall, good quality food with prices fair to slightly dear.Would have preferred the carvery.Again, carvery slightly expensive at £12 a head, but good.

Very busy at peak times. Good bar meals at reasonable prices. Recommend booking the Bistro or carvery ... as the bar often so busy. Quite noisy and not always quick to clear tables or wipe them down for the next guest.

On Sunday we arrived of a family of 26 to celebrate a 70th birthday, we had prepaid and preorder a Carvery..... the whole experience was absolulty perfect, we were at the top part of the restaurant on 2 tables and actually felt like we were the only ones there! the food was out of this world for us all, the service could not have been better, the atmosphere and standard was excellent, we couldn't recommend the stag enough for a group get together, we took our own cake which they were very happy and helpful with.... brilliant place!

This was a carvery meal and it was very good value for money with beautifully cooked meat and poultry and plenty of choice of fresh vegetables, followed by a choice of desserts for a set price.

Had lunch all delightful, both chicken tender, staff helpful, delicious vegetables. Look forward to coming again. The Apple Crumble was huge

Gave three visits before a review as would always give the benefit of a one off poor meal before making a deliberation.Meal 1 carvery very sad and dryMeal 2 breakfast meeting with colleagues all had hard poached eggs and by the time replacements arrived rest of breakfast eaten Meal 3 New Year’s Eve charged for chips that weren’t ordered or arrived , beef sandwich so tough and grisly took it back, replaced tuna mayo was so cold it had ice crystals.New year resolution won’t go there again!!

Having booked with a small group for a meal in the Evening Bistro, I visited the day before to discuss some allergen requirements with the staff. They were so helpful! The chef went through the whole menu to let me know what they could adapt and on the following evening, every care was taken by the whole team. Thank you.

Tried to book the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for 5pm the same day & was surprised to be told it was fully booked so took a chance on getting a table in the bar as we were driving past anyway. Fortunately although the bar was busy we managed to get one of only three tables that were free. Everything was straight forward, we ordered drinks at the bar, then our meals, which arrived pretty quickly considering how busy the place was & they were really nice & reasonably priced.

My friend and I met for lunch. We both had tea and fruit scone with jam and cream. These contained lots of fruit. We spent a lovely relaxed few hours here. This is always a good reliable place to come to meet up.

Varied options including carvery and bistro, plus pub favourites.

Met up with some of my friends for a catch up and relaxed lunch and this certainly ticked all the boxes.

Went to The Stag at Attleborough Sunday to try their carvery as had been recommended by several people and have to say we was not disappointed.

We as a family of 6 have been using the Stag at Xmas for around 5yrs n they were always pretty good,, well this year I spoke to a Manager (of sorts) to ask the justification in charging a 3-4yr old £40.00 for a meal there only going to have a veg plate n a dessert... His response wasn't acceptable at all to be honest n then when brought to his attention that he needs to get waiting n hospitality staff that want to work n be friendly n considerate of guest still eating while there turning tables n clashing about... His response was then,, "it sounds as if you don't want to eat here anyway"... What an ignorant man n how dare you think its OK to take advantage of families with under 5's.... You can keep ya restaurant....

Visited stag today 15 August cannot give it enough credit had the fish and chips best ones I’ve ever had in a restaurant service very efficient and staff very professional would recommend the stag for enjoyable meal

Being unavoidably delayed....we were hungry ..and at least an hour from home...so we dropped into this establishment....seated almost immediately...we were told it may be 20 mins wAit for dinner ....so we ordered a bottle of wine and some water.....and then we were bought a basket of warm bread and butter....(. I rarely eat white bread ) ..however this was so very welcome and indeed very tasty....our meals were not too far behind ..possibly within 30 mins....and absolutely delicious.....staff were friendly..accommodating....we were more than happy .

Had a bad experience at this restaurant this evening we were a group of 18 we had preordered our food and two of the starters were wrong and one starter had a hair in it one of the mains was missed off another was swimming in grease, service was appalling no check backs and we were left waiting for ages while the waiters were standing chatting, my son asked for mayo and never got any. We had to constantly ask for cutlery as they didn't bring us any for each course. We complained about being cold due to the aircon nothing was done and some of the group went home early as they were freezing. Would not recommend this restaurant

I came here for my leaving do and as very happy with the food quality and the service. The atmosphere is always great and the restaurant is lovely. The waiting staff were very attentive and welcoming.

Off the cuff visit .....glad we did. Bar area busy, bright and welcoming, served straight away. Asked about eating, could eat in bar or restaurant. Reataurant was large, airy and service was excellent. We chose the carvery which was delicious, hot, plenty of meat served on the plate. Service was prompt as we had dessert as well.... but we were not rushed at all. A lovely atmosphere, very impressed. Would i go again, definatly....

From the moment we walked into the bar, we felt welcome. Incredibly clean tables, cutlery and servery. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Choice of drinks is excellent. The Carvery is the best we have ever had. Three meat joints to choose from, all tender and beautifully carved. More vegetables and side dishes than I have ever seen before and all very tasty. Not enough cranberry or horseradish sauces when we were there and our request for some was ignored but, hey ho, only a very minor blip in an otherwise perfect experience.I can recommend the coffee roulade. Can't wait to be in Norfolk again, just to eat there!

Very nice laid back restaurant with good food.A little pricey but you do get very big portions so hence the price.Nice ambience and comfortable chairs.Sun terrace outside is nice in good weather.

Being a frequent visitor to the carvery and bistro I was very disappointed this weekend with the poor quality of the food served to us in the bistro. The fruit scones

I booked a table for 18 for my daughters 18th, the service and food was excellent i can not fault it at all. From the time of booking I kept in contact via email and got replys straight away. All staff were polite and helpful will definitely go back again and will recommend to all.

We were heading to North Norfolk for a mini-break and looking for somewhere along the A11 to stop for dinner when we found this place quite unexpectedly. It looked fairly busy but they had space and because it was a carvery we didn't have to wait long at all before we were eating - the convenience of fast food combined with hearty pub grub.

The food was lovely, but the attitude of some of the staff was terrible. We had never been before, so didn't know the routine, after asking for advice, we were spoken to like a couple of children. Had we not been so hungry after a long day, we would have gone elsewhere.

Visited the restaurant for lunch. I asked for the Pan Fried Salmon with vegetables and creme fresh, when it arrived the salmon was placed on top of the vegetables which was fine but the whole dish was swimming in butter and totally inedible. I asked for another and the waitress took it away, she quickly returned to say the dish came with the butter. What a shame the chef could not accept that he/she had got it wrong. The waitress was apologetic and I asked for an alternative dish which was fine.

We were a party of 11, 10 adults and one baby, and we visited on mother’s day, it was also my daughters birthday. We had a great time, food was delicious, 7 of us had the carvery, 3 had meals off the menu. Service was excellent aswell. We bought our own cake and they bought it out with the candles lit. None of us had desserts as we all had a slice of cake. We will be back soon.

Net with friends for a catch up with the intention of choosing off the menu but the carvery looked great so three of us plumped for that and one had the halumi burger. All super, the carvery had plenty of choice of veg. We all had different puds and mine was an excellent sticky toffee pudding and custard. The menu states ice cream so I asked for custard and it finished my pud off a treat. The chocolate brownie and creme brulee were fab too. Staff were very pleasant. It was really busy but had a lovely atmosphere with couples, families, friends ... A lovely mix

Four of us dropped in for lunch last week and all chose a carvery. Very disappointing. Three choices of meat and then- after my choice had been plated - I realised there were two types of casserole. Beef was tough & with cauliflower cheese and leeks in sauce just too much liquid on too small plates. Roast potatoes & parsnips were burnt and the carrots and peas poor quality. Not the cheapest carvery at c£10 and there is better value in local pubs. Falls into the classic trap of thinking more is better. Would be advised to ditch the casseroles and concentrate on doing fewer dishes well. Staff were friendly and restaurant clean and tidy.

Booked an evening meal for my wife's birthday. The starter was good. The main meals were indifferent at best (fish and steak both overcooked) but particularly disappointing was the 'Dessert Surprise'. The waiter asked if we'd like desserts and we said yes. He gave us a couple of minutes to choose and then came back to say that we couldn't have any as the kitchen had closed! What sort of restaurant dumps customers mid-meal? And if the kitchen really was closing, why were diners not politely warned that they needed to make their dessert orders before it did?

Visited for first time since the fire and refurb and carvery was amazing so much choices of potatoes and veg and even had my favourite parma violet gin to have with it

Good food, nice atmosphere and improved service since our last visit. Choice of food to suit all tastes.

Quick drink before meal in Carvery. Multi purpose room. Bar, guests lounge, bistro. Nice decor. Tasteful decor.

What's not to like about this restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was served promptly and was very good.

Every Christmas we always have a family meal at the stag so we were so pleased it re opened before Christmas.

Third visit since reopening. Came with friends, party of 7 and first visit for them since reopening. Same staff as two previous occasions, extremely inexperienced and not courteous.

After being regular customers for many years, we visited today for the first time after the fire for a meal, and I’m sorry to say we will not be returning which is such a shame as the food has always been very good!

Went on a Friday evening with a group of friends. Good choice of menu plus a Carvery. Some went for carvery, others took the menu. Staff came to tell us when menu orders were almost ready so the carvery people could get their meals and we could all eat together. I went for the Butterfly chicken with sweet potato fries which was very tasty and a generous serving. Chose Lemon tart for pud, which was lovely.

Good service good food Favourite is bangers and mash but I've tried several dishes Only complaint was the salt in the gravy was a bit heavy but overall it's a great place to meet and eat

So disappointed. Second visit since reopening. Boiled potatoes hard. No labelling on the extra dishes at front of carvery. People walking through the queue to go bar area with plates of food. Really can’t understand how this place is so popular. Won’t be returning.

Went during the week to the recently reopened Stag restaurant in Attleborough.

On our first visit last night I felt let down on the fact when you’ve have booked table in restaurant and you are given the same menu as the bar apart from carvery just pub grub the food was hot service good but one another count the quality could have been better burgers not good prawn cocktails amazing we just expected restaurant food lovely place but I’m sorry no wow factor on food staff very friendly

Booked a table for breakfast just after christmas for the family. It's the first time visiting after the rebuild and it all looks nice. What seems to of changed is it has lost it's uniqueness it's very sturille and feels just like any other restaurant chain. The issue we had was that were charged £2.50 for a earl grey tea in place of the english breakfast tea included in the breakfast cost which we felt was excessive. Would not rush back.

Visited here with a friend for a drink and a lunch. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere with the fire on, every table was filled. Would go back.

Lovely place, very accommodating with food intolerances, excellent service and good food. Highly recommended.

I went to the Bistro with 2 friends and it was perfect for a chilled catch up. The coffees and wines we had were great, but the food was outstanding. I had the cod, and I could devour it again anytime. Superb stuff. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu

Reopened recently and looks good. Food was fab as it always is the only thing that was odd was that a member of staff was eating at the bar directly in front of the till and made no attempt to move when the bar was busy with people wishing to order
