They have a sign saying we welcome patient people that are willing to wait for good food, that says it all. But the 1 menu of just sandwich/toasties/soup and scones of which they only had cheese one at noon! Doesn’t seem to cater to children no kids menu but did half sandwiches when asked to and no condiments as tomato sauce was a blank no. Food it lovely just shame one member of staff is so abrupt as the other 2 ladies seamed nice even if that member of staff was rude to them!

Booked a table for two at 2.pm. On arrival, were told to sit anywhere - so what was the point of reserving a table then? Were warned of a wait as they were busy but for God's sake, it was 45 minutes before the tea arrived!! Could immediately see things were chaotic. Had previously reserved tea with a fruit scone during the telephone reservation, only to be told only cheese scones left. "Oh sorry", so got refund for scone that wasn't available. They really need to sort themselves out. There were certainly busy because they have several tables inside and in the garden. However, the point is, if they have that many covers, then they must have organisation and staff to serve that many. The staff were like headless chickens and there seemed to be no routine of who does what. It was all done on the hoof. There were many customers waiting a long time for tea/food. Such a shame as it is the only tea shop near us that is open on Sundays. Needless to say, we will NEVER go back

How lucky am I to have this charming cafe on my doorstep. Lovely waitress. Great lunch and stunning surroundings with the added advantage of dipping into the Dutch Barn garden centre to buy a very reasonably priced pot plant.

We headed to a little tea-room in Blo Norton for lunch: we’ve been there before (I thought it was part of the Nursery then) and as long as you aren’t in a hurry, they have a very pleasant, covid-safe garden where one can (potentially) enjoy simple home-cooked fare. On our arrival we were shown to a table and warned of the long wait. We were handed three menus with the remark they’d no jacket potatoes and no sausage rolls… The absence of my wife's staple, jacket potatoes, may have caused an issue but we were there, so we sat down. Warned again of the long wait, we ordered a pot of tea to while away the time - worryingly, whilst taking this preliminary drinks order, the waitress again warned us of a long wait… So we waited, patiently, between two other parties, also, notably, devoid of food or drinks. Some considerable time later (20 minutes), having exhausted the immediate subjects for discussion we asked the occupants of the table next door whether they too were waiting or perhaps they were ‘rent-a-crowd’ - to make the place look popular. The first table admonished us for being impatient, pointing out that the establishment welcomed those who had time on their hands, time to absorbe the ambience… Umm, a cup of tea to maintain ones mental faculties would help in the absorption. (Perhaps they were rent-a-crowd plants) Those seated at the other table were rather less supportive of the establishment, and advised that they had been here ahead of us and were still waiting… but probably wouldn't be waiting much longer. I wasn’t looking at my watch (being quite happy to soak up the ambiance of the garden, gently chat with our guest) but I estimate that it was a good half an hour before we decided to give up - We hadn’t seen hide nor hair of the waitress since she showed us to our table; we still hadn’t placed our food order; and, in the interim, neither table either side of us had been served. I popped to the kitchen and asked them to cancel our tea order. They were remarkably unsurprised. Fortunately, in the preceding 30 minutes they hadn’t started to prepare it - so there was nothing to pay. We left, unsatisfied, and headed up the (congested) A11 to Peter Beales at Attleborough where we were welcomed: they had got baked potatoes, (they probably had sausage rolls) they had a very nice range of cakes, scones and tea too, delivered to the table within 3-4 minutes of ordering. Oh, and the outside garden area of the restaurant there is beautiful. I don’t think Blo Norton will be seeing us again any time soon.

Turned up for coffee today to be greeted with a very rude woman who couldn’t even offer a smile or be grateful she had customers. We felt as if we were in her way rather than wanting a table and to enjoy a coffee. We wanted to eat indoors it is a shame they hadn’t lit the wood burner as it was cold and somewhat gloomy. The rude woman, I believe is the owner, arrived at our table to take the order and my friend asked for a menu ‘you want a menu?’ That would have been nice but obviously too much effort so we went to look at what was on offer. I asked for a cheese scone but when I asked could it be warmed she snapped ‘No, not now.’ Who serves cold, hard cheese scones? This cafe does. I asked for a baby chino ‘ it won’t be very hot milk’ which I took to mean it won’t be boiling, there’ll be some heat in it - nah, stone cold. I guess she just warmed to very top layer to get it frothy but apparently that was cold too. I can honestly say we won’t be going back in there again. It’s not cheap and it’s far from welcoming.

Arrived inside the cafe during open hours and 15 mins before closing, but the place looked closed so I asked a lady behind the till, in a jolly voice “hello, are you still open?” To which I got a grumpy/annoyed “no!” and a scowl. Not even a ‘oh sorry we have just closed’. No explanation. Nothing. So rude. I’ve heard similar from all the locals but like to reserve judgement. Seems they were right though. Shame. Would be lovely place with the right staff especially as the little plant nursery is cracking.

A really popular place to eat. An attractive cafe but the real joy is to sit in the pretty garden. The tables are well spaced apart but that does mean that they are limited so it is essential to book. We have known them to frequently sell out of items on their menu which is very unfortunate as the menu is quite small. The quality of their food is excellent. They have been known to run out of wine which is really strange. I think they are in need of better management to ensure that they can serve what is on their menu. We have learnt to phone them in advance to ask them to keep back the food we want. Crazy!!! Having said all that I really do recommend it for its excellent food but make sure you get there early.

Visited today on the spur of the moment as we had heard good things about Beehive Coffee Shop. On arrival we were asked if we had booked when we said we hadn’t we were greeted with a massive sigh and told they only had one table available in a dingy corner near the door. (This was 11am so not even lunchtime and it wasn’t busy)Whilst the food was ok it wasn’t anything to shout about. The latte was weak and the tea stewed. We won’t be going again, mainly because we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience by the staff, not much of a welcome I’m afraid. Maybe make it a stipulation on their website that you have to book!

Stopped off here desperately in need of coffee! Thirst duly satisfied with good, strong coffee. Perhaps not quite as frothy or creamy as a mainstream coffee shop, but made up for by the quaint decor inside and lovely garden. There is outdoor seating, which also happens to be undercover, so offers protection from either the sun or rain!

We visit fairly regularly, every time is a pleasure! This time my wife and I brought a friend out for lunch, we had jacket potatoes, a sandwich, about 4 pieces of cake, 2 or 3 drinks each and nothing is too much bother, our friend knows what he likes shall we say! Extra of this, less of that, more of this and hot milk in tea, the ladies got him exactly as requested and he had a lovely lunch, as did my wife and I as usual! Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s in the back end of nowhere, you wouldn’t know it’s there if you didn’t know about it, it’s not somewhere you’d pass. Get it in the sat nav and get down there! You won’t be disappointed! For everything we had we only paid £42, lunch for 3 for £42 considering the amount we ate and drank, is very very cheap.

We went out for a drive one Saturday afternoon as it was pouring with rain and we couldn't get on in the garden and had heard from a friend of this remote nursery and coffee shop so thought we would pop along and visit it hoping the rain would stop so we could look round after having a cuppa! Well the rain didn't stop but in fact got heavier but we had a very warm welcome from the two ladies in the coffee shop. An enormous pot of tea plus a pot of hot water meant that we could have a leisurely few cups of tea with a piece of delicious cake until closing time as it was too wet to leave the establishment! Stopped here today after finding this on Tripadvisor. We were warmly welcomed and given the option of sitting in the bar or upstairs (very steep stairs) for waitress service. We chose the Ploughman's Lunch, where you have the options of choosing 2 options from: cheddar, Stilton, brie, prawns, beef or piri piri chicken. The plates were full of colourful & tasty food; the beef was plentiful and tender. It took us ages to get through and unfortunately didn't have room gir a dessert. Another customer couldn't manage her lunch, and she was offered the option of having it packaged up and taking it home. We will be back next time we are in the area to try something else off the menu!
