The food was not warm and tasted like it was microwaved

It's a local bakery/hot food,I personally just like it here.

Used this eatery when staying at the Premier Inn Saffron Walton a couple of years ago and there were no complaints then but things have changed. When we went to get our table at 7.30pm we were told that we weren’t being rushed but we need to get our orders in before 7.40pm or we wouldn’t be able to eat anything as the kitchen closes at 8.00pm. Once seated we were then presented with both the menu and a list, equally as long, of items that weren’t available on the menu. By this time we only had 8 minutes on the clock to decide whilst cross-checking the menu! The food itself was pretty average. After the meal we went to have one more drink in the bar. Once sat down with our drinks we were quickly told it was last orders, soon after that, around 5 minutes, all guests had to leave the bar. The England game was switched off half way through, maybe not a bad thing, and the door was practically slammed behind us as we were turfed into the lobby with the remainder of our drinks. I realise this is not the staff’s fault, they are only enforcing the rules but it all felt very rushed and stressful. Other guests were clearly annoyed by this. On the whole I think the opening hours could be handled better and something needs to be done about the lack of options, whatever the reasons, it was embarrassing.

The bubble waffle was amazing, but the crêpe I ordered didn’t quite meet my expectations. However, the location and the vibe were absolutely fantastic.

Popped in after a visit to the dentists, hoping to grab some breakfast, but I was too late as it was 12pm. However, the lovely staff member did me a strong black coffee (very tasty, strong without being too bitter), offered me some toast and tried to cater to my gluten free diet, and later on returned with a packet of GF crisps as they had finished breakfast time. Very thoughtful service, and the sofas at the front of the shop are extremely comfortable, I did not want to leave.

Have been here before with no problems, but today I was with a party of 7, for a Birthday lunch ,I had the fish and chips but my fish had a lot of bones in it which I wouldn't expect in a piece of cod , this put me off and I left a lot ,I said to our waiter about it and he just said sorry about that , no offer of exchange or reimbursement which I was surprised at . Probably won't go there again .

Seated and served straight away, food was as always well cooked and very tasty - served today by Kata the manageress who was delightful and very friendly.

worst hotel ever.Dirty,Smelly,Smell of Urine ,staff are rude

We have spent a week on the Broads eating in pubs most nights and this place was head and shoulders above the rest. The food is really good pub fare, well prepared and presented but most importantly the staff are happy to see the customers rather than treating us as an inconvenience. We had a great meal and an enjoyable evening

Good food, friendly staff, good service, pleasant atmosphere.

We got there on a Friday evening. The table was booked in advance online. We found seating too close together. I could touch my neighbour seating by just raising my arms to the side, which made me feel uncomfortable. It took a long while to ask if we were ready to order our food. Food took too long to prepare, approximately 50 minutes wait, then my food had to go back to the kitchen and be remade as it didn't come as ordered. Also,when I ordered the food, I requested an upgrade to sweet potato fries, and the waitress did tell me that might not be possible. I was expecting her to come and let me know before I received my meal, but that never happened. The atmosphere was okay but too hot and the music was not a relaxed volume to sit and enjoy our meal. The food was mediocre and not worth waiting nearly an hour for. I wouldn't return again due to the cost and level of service we received. The place needs air conditioning, taking out one set of table and chairs so it would be more comfortably spaced and more private.

first time in cambridge and genuinely the nicest pub i’ve ever visited. the staff were super helpful and friendly and the vibes inside and outside are impeccable. the garden space is small but gets the sun just perfectly. they even had a gluten free pizza base that was surprisingly tasty!! 2-4-1 pizzas on a monday so ended up being super affordable. ashley behind the bar was the sweetest most wholesome person ever and gave us recommendations for pubs/clubs to visit and 10/10 service so thank you ashley !! such a cute location and pub you must visit !!

Lovely roast dinner on Easter Sunday at the Horse & Groom. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was excellent, looking forward to visiting again soon

We went again yesterday. This time with our son and his family. Julian is the most welcoming host you could wish for. He always finds time to talk about his native Calais, and his knowledge of music from around the world. Thank you for making us feel so special. Elaine and Michael
