The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Food was 10/10. Me and my grandad was very impressed. It felt like a good home cooked meal which is exactly what we wanted.

Had an absolutely brilliant meal with my family here tonight. Great food, great service. Ali was an absolute delight, his humour and charm made the experience priceless!

Absolutely love Scooters. The breakfast and coffee are delicious. We love the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Used to take our dogs when they were alive as there is a room set aside for them.

A really lovely pub in Great Paxton good choice of lager ales and cider, found it very friendly and the Landlady was really good and the food available Wednesday to Sunday is of the highest quality.

Didn't eat but the beer is excellent.

Had the dinner tasting menu. The food was very imaginative, original and delicious! Enjoyed the chef's explanations before each course and the waiting staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Good freshly cooked all the time

Julie helped me put together a hamper as a last minute birthday gift for a relative. She advised on gluten free products and was so helpful with her knowledge and expertise. She also displayed it beautifully and got it done so quickly I was amazed! The recipient was delighted with the gift! Thank you Julie and your wonderful team

Fabulous food from the Brick’s Christmas menu. I think we’ve covered every option in our three visits this month and every choice was excellent. Very generous portions and the service was great too. Nothing was too much trouble, from topping up drinks to getting sauces and giving us time to digest each course. I’d thoroughly recommend a visit - the normal menu is very good too! This kebab place's chicken, lamb, shish, adana shish and doner were very good. The presentation was also very great.

I had Lamb Kofta with rice and a lovely fresh salad, hubby had Mackerel and bass in lemon and caper sauce, both were most enjoyable. Another pleasant evening at the Naze Cafe. Also at breakfast they do the best bubble and squeak.
