Strollers Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Had a meal here but was cold and expensive , i did not want a replacement as had no time but staff still charged me ,poor

We booked Strollers following the recommendation of a friend. The fish was super fresh and well prepared in very large portions. Nice ambiance and decor too.

A very pleasant surprise! Nice contemporary design, relaxing atmosphere with a romantic ambiance. Menu moderately diverse catering for most tastes. The staff are attentive and most helpful. The food is above average but with reasonable prices. The Scallops and the Singapore noodles were excellent. We shall definitely be visiting again in the near future.

This is essentially a fish restaurant but steaks are on the menu. My husband had a fillet steak which was lovely. I had grilled Skate wings with a side of saute potatoes. I found it rather dull and was quite disappointed with the meal. There was no colour to the saute potatoes so the whole look of the meal was rather bland. Wouldn't have again. Starters were very nice as were the desserts. My meal was the only disappointment

Enjoyed a great evening at Strollers last week. Excellent new sea food menu and a quality night. Many thanks to the Head Waiter, Gonzalo who looked after us so well. I thoroughly recommend this venue and have already booked to return.

I travel for work and stay in hotels everyday of the week, so I feel I have a reasonable comparison against other hotels for quality of the restaurant they have. The Strollers is easily the best food I have eaten in any hotel! Everything on the menu tastes amazing including the baked salmon in hollandaise sauce. Regardless of what you order every dish tastes amazing and is an experience and its at really affordable prices. Really looking forward to the new menu. If you are searching trip advisor for the best restaurant then look no further, book a table and try it for yourself!!! Enjoy

The restaurant was in the Prom hotel , the food and service was very good, the food was a bit slow , but there are no rush, just spent mort time to enjoy the food.

The place is very well decorated staff very polite but not many of them so service slow the food very nice however at these prices perfection is of the essence,and it fell short of that shame.on the whole well above average.we have not been for long time something missing.thats my opinion as I pay bill.will we go back yes in time.

Since my first report dated September 2016, my wife and I have been here several times and in my opinion it is now the second best restaurant in Great Yarmouth. We try to visit most popular restaurants - it is my biggest interest; good food, wine and company. Our latest visit was to take friends on their Wedding Anniversary and everything was up to scratch. A lovely dining room, with a first class waiter from Madeira. The Sunday Lunch at £22.00 for three courses, with a Wine List which is fairly priced is an absolute steal. My only concern was why only one other couple in the room, capable of serving at least fifty ? Visitors may not be aware, but the locals who do not visit are missing something rather special, especially as the Town is not well known for the quality of it's restaurants. When leaving, I looked into the Pub on the Prom, where there were many more people dining, which proves to me the majority of people think a restaurant with table cloths etc., must think they are too expensive. Certainly not so in Strollers ! The ambience, food, service and value is all exceptional. One thing however was missing - no bread with balsamic/olive oil dip was offered and there were no amuse bouche, which have been there in the past.

Strollers is within Pub on the Prom but you turn right instead of left into a lovely dining room, white tablecloths, private bar etc. I had pre-ordered the 2 course option but enjoyed also the welcoming selection of breads and olive oil and balsamic dip, then chicken in a mushroom sauce with excellent dish of fresh vegetables, Eton mess followed by coffee and complimentary chocolates. The service was excellent, the food clean and well cooked. My only disappointment was the so called Eton mess which was a large spoon of thick cream decorated with 4 raspberries with a few bought meringue crumbs sprinkled about. Cost was reasonable £18 . A colleague had ordered cheese for dessert and received a whole platter of cheeses! All in all a very good experience and will recommend .

My second visit but first for my husband, booked the valentines meal for the Friday the meal was amazing really beautifully presented and delicious. We shared a king prawn starter with various dips all served with warm bread and hummus, tarasmalata and balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Next l had the halibut with a cream and prawn sauce and my husband had the fillet steak. We then followed with chocolate fondant pudding and a lemon tart. Unfortunately we had no room left for the cheese and biscuits but had a cup of tea with a chocolate coated strawberry. The meal was really good value at £35 pp and the quality and quantity were perfect. Can’t wait to return for Mother’s Day.

I was recommended by friends to try STROLLERS for a valentines day meal and have now discovered a hidden gem. From walking through the amazing entrance, past a grand piano and to the bar I k knew immediately that me and my fiancee were in for a great evening. On arrival we were welcomed by an amazing team of waiters and head of staff. We were spoilt with an amazing meal and service second to none. A tasty complimentary tray of various breads, olive oil and humus. An 8oz fillet steak mushroom and tomato which was all cooked to perfection. Desserts were out of this world too. A cheese board with great selection of cheeses and crackers... Followed by coffees and strawberries dipped in chocolate. Thankyou Strollers and your amazing team who made our valentines day very special. 10 out of 10. We will return soon...

We love this restaurant abd once again we were not disappointed. Chef did us oroud food was excellent thank you. If you have not been you must a hidden gem on the seafront and perfect for a special occasion or celebration as the room has a lovely atmosphere and decorated beautifully. Staff are attentive but discreet. We will be back.

A group of friends tried this restaurant last Thursday and we were very impressed with the food, decor and service. Good choices on the menu to suit everyone. Can’t wait to try it again with my husband next time. Would recommend this restaurant to those who like fine dining but also for fussy eaters as it also had the more classic menu too.

Everyone in my party was over the moon with the meals we had. So tasty and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was perfect with beautiful decor and jazz playing. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to everyone!

Sometimes just sometimes a restaurant really surprises me. This can be either positively or negatively and for Strollers I can categorically state that our visit was positive.

The restaurant was a real surprise after walking through the bar area which is really dark but the restaurant is light and very fresh.

Just arrived home from dinner at Strollers. Lovely food, wonderful service, you must try this place.

I hired Strollers restaurant for a private function catering for 35 guests. We occupied the whole of the restaurant. James and his staff went out of their way to provide an excellent evening. The food was exceptional plentiful and good quality. From the vegaratans amongst us to those with specific requests everything was catered for . We were not hurried or felt anything too much trouble. . I would definitely hire this venue again and would highly recommend it.Thank you to all the staff we all had such a lovely evening.

The restaurant is new but the food and service and not good ,very slow service and very poor meals which are expensive

I dined at strollers last night and was blown away by every aspect of the experience.

24 off us came last night to celebrate my Farther in laws 90th Birthday, it was absolutely brilliant, the food, the staff and service were all absolutely fantastic, would recommend to anyone, thanks for a lovely evening

It was our first team eating at the resurant, have been in for a drink and thought what a lovely place. Went with my partner and 3 other friends, very friendly staff and nice atmosphere and great food very yummy will definetley come back again, used our tast cards so that helped home they keep that in use.

Hopefully my experience will not happen to anybody else. We have visited the bar and had bar meals many times and found the food and service very good.

Me and my wife spent a very nice time in this restaurant, the staff was very friendly and have good experiens but the biggest impression was made on us the beautiful restaurant decoration. Also also room ,, 104 '' was very comfortable and nathing missing in it we will come back soon (:

First visit to this restaurant for Sunday lunch, we were very impressed by the selection, quality and staff attention. The decor is also superb and quality laid table with proper cloth serviettes, If they keep this standard up it will become the place to eat in Great Yarmouth. Will certainly go again in the near future.

Well what a fabuloys meal. We are so lucky to have this restaurant in Great Yarmouth. Great setting attentive and lovely staff in Strollers. Food is exceptional. Well done chef.

What a surprise. A restaurant in Gt Yarmouth with all the attributes for a great evening. Classy, very attentive staff, good food, not rushed. Yes the prices were above average for the area but so was the service. We go out with friends once a month and when I was told where we were going I must admit my heart sunk. However as soon as we walked in we could see this was different. Nice decor friendly greeting. It was nice to be able to sit and chat without feeling rushed.

Have to say I was skeptical at the 3 course dinner for 20 quid, thought it might just be just alright.Boy was I wrong the food was so delicious and the presentation was brilliant,not to mention the actual place had a lovely ambience.The initial plan was to have a 3 course dinner but we were so filled and satisfied with starter and main I was done.Have to say the lady that was on that night was excellent,very polite and nothing was to much bother.I certainly will be returning tomorrow ☺

Super staff, super setting but food really is in need of an a complete rethink. Expectation is everything, kicking off at the gin bar to be meet with such attentive staff only to be served with "could be anywhere food" was disappointing. Need to up the quality fast

Three of went for an evening meal ,must say place looked very nice but be warned if you are a bit wide in the beam the chairs are very snug.

We had an early dinner at this place after a good day out with the kids. Very pleasantly surprised by the elegant decor and the excellent food. Service was trumps as well.

In my experience hotel restaurants are often a let down. Strollers bucked this trend.The bar choices and service were excellent, the menu was varied and interesting and the wine list was easily navigable. Food was presented perfectly and tasted even better.

We celebrated our friends birthday due to the reviews and were not disappointed , the service, presentation and quality of the food was excellent , there was a mix up with our order however it was dealt with quickly and a complimentry bottle of wine and a dessert arrived wishing our friend a happy birthday ,, we shall be returning very soon to sample sunday lunch , at last a decent restaurant in gt yarmouth with lovely decor and attentive waiting staff , you deserve to do well ,

We had a lovely family meal at strollers today! We were served by Katie and James who were brilliant and very accommodating when we were indecisive with what we wanted to eat. The food was amazing can't wait to go back again!

I have been to Strollers quite a few times now for a Saturday evening meal with friends and it is always fabulous. This time it was a Sunday lunch to celebrate my partners dads 80th birthday. It was a horrible, cold winters day but the restaurant was lovely and warm and cosy.We had a party of 12 adults and 3 children. Some had never been to Strollers before.We were looked after really well by all the lovely staff. We had the 3 course Sunday lunch menu. The food was fresh, delicious and very well cooked. The children had a separate menu which was great. The family members who had not been before were all very impressed and said they would definitely return.

Wonderful family Christmas lunch at this gem of a location. The food was plentiful and of the highest standard and the little touches really make this experience stand out. Very attentive staff, excellent selection of drinks and wines all in a luxurious setting. Highly recommend.

We went there from Finance James Paget Hospital on 2 December 2016. Best Christmas night ever!!! Food was fantastic, staff, venue and atmosphere was great. We haven't stopped talking about it. I went to strollers for the first time on Saturday 22 October 2016. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by very courteous and extremely attentive staff. We all opted not to have a starter as we had eyed the dessert menu. Complimentary olives and different breads were brought to our table and some prawns with chilli sauce. I had the lamb cutlet main with chilli jam and salad, it was beautiful. We also had the meat pie and fish and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meals. My dessert was pearrested and almond tart with poached pear and clotted cream ice cream, we also had the baked vanilla cheesecake which were delicious. If you are in great yarmouth I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We found this restaurant whilst visiting the Pub on the Prom, Strollers is attached but still has signs for the Bistro within the pub so this is a little misleading. This restaurant is excellent in every aspect. The restaurant itself is intimate but not to small, but not to big that you feel lost. The decor is stylish and classy but not pompous. It is very comfortable with easy listening music playing softly in the background not interfering with conversation nor interrupting it either. The waitress service was the best we received in Yarmouth during our visit there which was for a week. We were greeted as we arrived, taken to a comfortable seating area where it was fully explained to us how our experience would develope. Our drinks order was taken, the wine arrived promptly and was poured very professionally with the opportunity to taste first. We were then left to choose from the menu, after an acceptable time our order was taken we were then escorted to our table where our wine was waiting in a cooler, water was also on the table. We didn't order starters but had an array of artisan breads, olives, olive oil and a taster of feta cheese wrapped in parma ham, scrumptious. The main courses were delicious from a decent array on the menu. Our Waitress Katie was second to none, she knew everything about the dishes on the menu, the wines the history of the building just about everything. She spent time talking with us but not enough to interfere with the dining experience but always checking was our food was ok, did we have everything that we needed, could she help in any way, what an asset this young lady is. I assume she has had some customer service training but she had something else, a genuine interest in us as customers, she was sociable, polite, fun but always a consummate professional. She evidently loves her job and this comes across in bucket loads the way in which she has nailed her role is plain for all to see. We witnessed this attitude and professionalism with other customers too. All round it was a very special experience with the food and service making it so. In fact such a good job was done we returned for a second visit before returning home, it was a no brainer that we would eat at Strollers on our last evening. Well done to all concerned we can't recommend you enough, but please advertise your existence as we fell upon you purely by chance and if ever there was a chance meeting to talk of, this was it.

Had wonderful meal here with 16 friends and family to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The food and service were excellent considering the size of our party and we all had a great time. This is one of only a handful of nice restaurants in Gt Yarmouth but would definitely recommend.

Have been before, but this place is rapidly becoming one of the best places to dine in the Town. A very smart interior with comfortable seating and very good table cutlery and crockery. Food is of course extremely good and service friendly. The Sunday lunches are excellent value, with varied choices. Wines can be expensive if required, but the house wines are a good selection and well priced. Not many places provide an Amuse Bouche AND lovely bread with balsamic/olive oil dip before the meal commences, but Strollers do. Not yet the best in Great Yarmouth, but they are good and therefore might reach the top spot soon.

Had a meal here with a friend last week. Being a Thursday eve I thought it might be quiet. We were the only two eating,,, however that did mean we were well served by a very attentive waiter. Food was good, well cooked and presented and quite reasonably priced. Chairs were very comfy so you could quite possibly relax and have a leisurely meal.The big downside for me was that we had to pass through a very large bar area and then up some stairs to get to the toilets. The stair and toilet area are very shabby and not very clean. One of the t so taps not working and the main toilet door handle fell off on opening. Hence the three stars.

Dined at this lovely restaurant last night. Could not fault it. Staff were very helpful ,polite , friendly and well trained . Beautifully decorated , classy ,comfortable and relaxing . Food superb ! A Joy to find such a gem in Yarmouth !

Well my wife & daughter surprised me totally.friends & close family. We all had a great night out staff were brilliant especially when young waiter came up with a shot thank you, a very nice gesture. The food was of very good standard drink er I had my share, hope I did not upset anyone if so I very sorry.whoever is in charge your staff are a credit to you.please keep up the very good work.

Certainly better than any other restaurant we saw in Great Yarmouth. Not cheap but good service and food. We enjoyed it.

I visited last night with family following an afternoon on the front in Great Yarmouth. We had eaten in the Pub on the Prom restaurant a number of times before. However, since last summer, there has been a massive refit of the restaurant, which is now so classy we all felt under-dressed. However, as we arrived early and we're the only people in the place, we decided to press on. Service was wonderful, the waitress (Lauren) was extremely attentive but never intrusive. We popped into Yarmouth for the afternoon and decided on food - we found Strollers and what a fantastic surprise it was , we had Sunday Lunch and it was top,quality , the service we had was also of the highest standard no hassle , no time pressure everything you would expect from a first class restaurant - Well done , and look forward to seeing you again

As someone born and bred in Yarmouth but now living in Edinburgh I think it is fair to say that Yarmouth is not known for its culinary prowess. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find Strollers in the Prom Hotel serving excellent and very tasty food from an extensive menu complimented by great service. A nice touch were the complimentary breads and olives to start. We were a group of 5 and each tried something different. I had skate wings which were perfectly cooked and the vegetarians amongst us were well catered for. All in all a great experience and I will be back when I am next in town.

Having been to this restaurant for an evening meal before we thought we'd return and try Sunday lunch. I struggled to choose from the menu as it all sounded good. Loved all of it from start to finish...which was treacle tart....

First class in every way! The Sunday lunch menu was one of the best I've seen. So much choice, but not too much. Complimentary nibbles, homemade bread and olives.

This is the first time we have been in evening. Were we disappointed no we not. The staff all very good so please give it a try if you want good service & good food. Try the gins wow factor. All 13 of us had excellent food no complaints now that unusual for large party. Well done to all staff. Looking forward to our return.

The bar next door was very noisy, due to an army reunion so we had walked through. A family member and friends had eaten there and recommended it so we chanced our arm and asked for a table.

We went to strollers for my husband birthday upon arriving we were welcome by a very nice young lady who took our coats and showed us to waiting area she then took our orders for drinks the handed us the menu we were shortly showed to our table and given complimentary tasters and bread then our starters arrived they were excellent followed by mains my daughter had a steak she said it was cooked to perfection very impressed the mains were also excellent we had dessert and the waitress we has was so friendly and very attentive she even brought my husband pancakes out with tea light and happy birthday written on the plate in jam what a excellent touch when she only found out it was his birthday during our conversation she said had to improvise due to not have candles must say this was a wonderful meal excellent service due to such attentive staff will highly recommend to friends one is already booked and coming Sunday more to follow will return ourselves very soon thank you for a very happy night

What a wonderful addition to Great Yarmouth and what a change to have a restaurant that it so welcoming and attentive. From the moment my family walked through the door to leaving we were made to feel welcome and relaxed.The choice of menu was fantastic we all had a roast and it has to be the best Sunday lunch in the Great Yarmouth and surrounding area. All the veg and potatoes were fresh and the home made yorkshire puds made a change from the usual restaurant standard of rock hard frozen. The price is very good for the portion size. The staff were very pleasant and polite. Both my parents and myself could not fault any part of the meal and will definitely be returning.

Me My wife and daughter visited on recommendation on a Saturday night. Upon entering we were greeted at the bar by James the manager who served our drinks and gave us the menus to browse, after ordering we were shown to our table by Katie our waitress, everything about this place is just so good the ambience, decor, and the attentive service. The steaks two of us had were superb served with a sauce of your choice,the chips were to die for. My wife loved her chicken as well. I would like to say a personal thank you to Katie who took care of us and went over and beyond the level of service that we would normally expect eating out in Great Yarmouth. This place is head and shoulders above anywhere else for dinning, In fact I would say I it rates as good as anywhere else I have eaten in the uk. Well done James and the team. Just a footnote, behind us were a table of 8 twenty year olds, not one swear word, impeccable behaviour, you know when you are here, it brings out the best in you.

What a gem this restaurant is! Admittedly it was a quiet Sunday afternoon but the staff could not have been more pleasant & attentive, and the ambience was still cosy even though the place was otherwise empty. The food was outstanding - and plenty of it - and the chef took the opportunity to try a couple of bits out on us, free of charge. The meats were tasty and array of vegetables was imaginative and beautifully cooked. And the desserts were luxurious. We had expected a carvery standard meal.... we certainly paid carvery standard prices, but the quality was 4-star plus! Enough said. We'll be back!

Went for lunch on Mother's Day and was blown away by this restaurant. The quality of decor was to a very high standard, the staff upon arrival were very polite, helpful and attentive throughout the meal. Food was top quality with all fresh produce which you could tell had been skilfully prepared and cooked. I will most definitely be going back.

I was going to wait until tomorrow to review but since it's fresh in my mind I'll do it now. I've just got in the door from a what can only be described as a 'perfect evening' with friends at 'Strollers'.

Anyone whowants to go out for a brilliant meal at very sensible prices will be hard pushed to find a better restaurant in the area. The Menu is varied and very well thought out.The staff are super polite and also very efficent. The owner and staff can be very satisfied with their hard work. we will certainly be coming back.

We booked Strollers for our late valentine night out. We had previously been shown around the restaurant just before it had been opened and were suitably impressed. When we arrived we were greated by two very nice polite and friendly girls who showed us to our table. the decore is very nice and smart, vaguely artdeco in style with a modern twist.

Everyone's meal was perfect. There is nothing bad we could say about the entire experience. At £18.50 for two courses (sunday menu) it offers exceptional value for money. There aren't many places where you could have a generous portion of delicious scallops as a starter included in a price so small. Before we even left we decided we will be coming back for Mothers Day lunch!!!

Nothing to much trouble, my wife &I; just have 1 course but my daughter & partner had2. We all have to mention the food was of the very best standard. When will we go back mothers day I hope.

I asked friends where to go for Sunday lunch and this kept being recommended.. I genuinely can't believe we got this for the price! If you want something really special this is the place, we had the 2 course purely because we had to be somewhere but for the setting, the service, the hospitality and the food ...oh the food! I'd have expected to pay this just for the starter! Not often I Recommend a place this highly but just simply wow, thankyou!

This is now the 3rd time I have eaten Sunday Lunch at Strollers and what can i say, the food and over all experience is second to none! despite sitting across the room from a table of 6 who were somewhat noisy and rude to the staff this did not lessen the experience in anyway.

Well after years off cooking Christmas lunch decided to be spoilt and we certainly were no expenses has been spared on decor lovely resturant staff really helpful and happy the food was excellent could not fault it so much so can't wait to go back don't think I will ever cook Christmas lunch again well done to all concerned

Visted this restaurant for a family birthday meal as a group of 6. I personally recommended this particular venue as I have eaten many times in the adjacent pub on the prom. Though I have to say interior decor and furnishings are to a high standard as is the tableware giving you a high class feeling. The meal it's self was some what of a let down to say the least. One of our group (child ) had no joice but to choose an adult size meal you have only 3 choices. Choice 1 is starter and main choice 2 main and desart. Both prised at almost £19 or 3 course at £22. Whilst this seems reasonable for an adult a child is not able to eat the same amount so would have been better if able to order main only or had a child portion available. If you choose the asparagus as a starter be warned this is NOT wrapped in pancetta as advertised but quite thick bacon rashers taking away the classical pallet of the dish. Our main meal came with out of the freezer Yorkshire puddings under roasted potato and seasonal out of the freezer vegetable. Meal completed the waitress serving our table noted the youngest member of our group had lent back on her chair coursing it to tilt. The waitress then felt the need to go on a tirant telling the young child how expensive the chairs in the restaurant are then the glasses and the plates. Did I pay £187 for the privilege of a lecture by a waitress no an no one in my group expected one either we made a joke and prepared to leave. Though quiet and relaxing. The waiting staff need to know they are there to wait not to lecture I spent 3 years in uni listening to one thank you. If you are a couple and it's valentines this is a great place I'm sure though over priced you could go to the caister castle historic setting cheaper meals better quality. Not a family restaurant that's for sure. Please as a polite gesture re think your menu price or cook good food fresh

Had a lovely meal here Saturday night. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and the new decor was very pleasing to the eye.

We have eaten here twice now in the last month. Incredible food in a relaxing, smart and contemporary environment! It's so nice to find a fine dining restaurant in Great Yarmouth that isn't old fashioned or pretentious. We have told all our friends and family how much we have enjoyed it and thoroughly look forward to eating here again soon! Recommended to all!
