Always a good experience lovely food good staff and a good location

Excellent meal. We loved it. Very well cooked and tasty. I'm sure we'll be back. However I didn't notice a single vegetarian option in the menu. So this wouldn't be a place I could bring a group of friends.

This restaurant is a long standing family favourite for celebratory meals. But this week they did something very special- Tony and the team at Filby Bridge restaurant hosted our wedding reception. Our 50 guests were served a delicious three course meal, calmly and efficiently. Feedback from every guest about their food was exceptional. The atmosphere was relaxed, we were placed under no pressure regards time. The staff were all friendly and professional. It was incredible value for money. We all enjoyed the beautiful location overlooking the Broads. Our wedding photos look stunning with this incredible back drop. Recommend highly. Thank you for making this part of our special day so fantastic. 🙏

Very pleasant and cheerful staff. Beautiful surroundings and views across the broads. The food is excellent quality and superbly prepared and cooked: the best fillet steak that I have had in some time. The restaurant sits on the edge of a lovely village, which is adorned with flowers. Well worth a visit, highly recommended.

Really disappointed We ordered 3 rare fillet steaks which aren’t cheap - firstly it wasn’t rare, more medium well, and secondly, it certainly wasn’t fillet! 2 of us sent ours back and didn’t want a replacement and the 3rd was eaten but not enjoyed

Lovely view overlooking the Broad. Everything else downhill after that. No atmosphere. food was not good and over priced for what it was.

We were staying near Filby and came across this restaurant. We ended up having both lunch yesterday and returned for an evening meal today This review is based on both our experiences. Firstly the view from the restaurant is beautiful. Lunch was good old fashioned style cooking; hot, tasty and plentiful. Dinner this evening was really good; a different style to lunch; fresh tasting and well presented. Tony was very welcoming on both visits even opening the doors early for us today. All in all a great experience; thank you Tony.

A really good restaurant. Highly recommend the seafood platter and the steak fillet stroganoff. Excellent service. Will definitely be back when we're next in the area.

It is a missed opportunity at a location with a fantastic view. As soon as you walk in and have to work your way around the old leather settee and sideboard left in the lobby, you know this place is a space that time forgot. Sunday's menu offered too many options to specialise. The food was beyond dreadful - cheap ingredients, flavourless and colourless. If you want a school dinner experience, this is your place. Stay for a drink and drive 1/2 a mile down the road to the chef-led Kings Arms for outstanding food.

Really nice restaurant in a lovely setting. The staff were great and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was a little flat but it was quite early so not very busy. I would recommend and would definitely return.

Amazing food in a wonderful location. The menu is extensive and the quality of the food was nothing short of fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. If you love seafood and/or steak this place is an absolute must! Will definitely return, when I am next in the area.

First time at the Filby Bridge Restaurant and we will return. Lovely setting overlooking the broads. It was fairly quite, which surprised given the lovely setting and the quality of our food was very good and presentation was excellent. The only thing that let the food down was the chips, they were very bitty, as if the were the end of the packet. If they had used proper chips it would be 5 ⭐ Don't let it put you off, as the food was very good and affordable pricing.

Four of us went to Filby Bridge restaurant, somewhere all of us had meant to go over the past two years. It was well worth the apwait and we won’t leave it too long for our next visit. Very warm welcome, lovely mix of food on the menu. Could not fault it at all, we were all stuffed at the end. It is not the cheapest restaurant around but and it was reasonably priced for what it was

Filby Bridge restaurant is first rate. An| extensive tasty menu with many rare dishes. We went for a celebratory meal and were not disappointed. Starters were a Prawn and Crab stack and Scallops and bacon on Black Pudding, Both were excellent. Mains were Lemon Sole with Lobster pieces in a Cheese Sauce - there was a generous portion of lobster. The other main was Tournedos Rossini - a generous cut of really tender fillet steak in a crouton, dressed with pate. Both were also excellent. We really didn't need a desert - so settled for double scoops of ice cream. Thoroughly recommended!

We chose this restaurant because of all the good reviews and it has taken me a long time to post this review because I don't like posting bad reviews but it was like we were in a parallel universe. We asked if there was a children's menu and were told no then offered sausages or chicken nuggets (we decided on a small roast meal). We were asked what we wanted to drink and asked for a drinks menu. We were told that there wasn't a menu but not offered any ideas as to what there might be to drink. The waitress just looked at us blankly when we asked. My daughter had to stand up and walk over to the bar to look what they had and come back to tell us, all while the waitress stood silently waiting for our order. There was a 'pie of the day' and we had to ask what it was. On the dessert menu there was a cheesecake of the day and we had to ask what that was too. Disappointingly it was an uncooked one. All around us we could see people obviously enjoying their meals and I'm not sure whether it was the fact that we arrived with a well behaved 3 year old (they had high chairs) or if it is simply a local restaurant for local people only.

The food was very good, only negative was the sherry trifle was a lot stronger than expected but still very enjoyable. Service was polite and nice just at the end I had to get up and request the bill but nothing to be disappointed by. The location is great and the view looking over the lake is amazing.

Absolutely fantastic… my parents golden wedding anniversary and nothing could have been any better. View, service, food all excellent. My parents said they will be going back. If you want a really great meal in a great location with slightly cheeky service get down there.

Our family has used Filby Bridge for most of our important anniversaries over the years and have always found the staff both friendly and efficient. We have just celebrated our Diamond Wedding Anniversary, the meal was first class, our thanks to Tony and staff for a splendid evening, here's to the next time.

This is the third time we have visited this year and there are certainly no complaints from us. We have visited as part of a large group of 30+ people for a birthday celebration, as a couple and as a group of 4. The chef knows how to cook. Service is excellent without being obtrusive and the price appropriate to the quality of the food we had been served. The place is well organised, clean with a convivial atmosphere in a beautiful location. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a fabulous meal. Last night our guests and ourselves mainly had the fish dishes. The meals were served hot, freshly cooked and all of a good quality. The complementary bread which we were given as we were seated was delicious. Thank you

Had a very pleasant evening at Filby Bridge. Staff were helpful and attentive. Beautiful setting right on the broads . Food was good. Nicely presented and very tasty and a good choice of veggie options. A great place for larger groups.

Our first visit to Filby Bridge was for Sunday lunch. From the initial online booking enquiry through to paying the bill and everything in between was faultless. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. We both had the roast lamb and it was cooked to perfection, the desserts were also fabulous. Tony was friendly, attentive and efficient, as were all the staff. The setting is beautiful with far reaching views across Ormesby Little Broad. The only improvement to be made would be a couple of benches at the waters edge to sit and have a drink before/after a meal. We will definitely return in the near future.

Nice setting, plenty of parking. We had not eaten here for sometime, food very much as expected. I had the meat feast mediam rare, cooked exactly right, there was too much meat for me, fortunately I had potatoes and not chips. Would go back again.

If you want a very good meal, this is the place to visit. Staff could not be more pleasant and the food is well worth waiting for. It is all cooked to order. The view across the broad alone is worth a visit.

Staff friendly and efficient. Room light and airy, great views over the Broads.. Our Sunday lunches of beef and Turkey was ok, vegetables a bit bland, (carrots, peas, cabbage) gravy thin and only the Beef got a Yorkshire pudding which was disappointing as it looked lovely, and tasted good too as I had half of hubbies. It would have filled the plate more too. Roast potatoes, we're not very roasted, overall pleasant enough, but not the tastiest of roasts

We have been visiting Filby Bridge Restaurant for many years and the welcome and service you receive is excellent. Just been again at the start of the month to have lunch with friends holidaying in Norfolk. As always we were greeted with warmth as staff are very friendly and attentive ( even had our photo taken by a staff member outside when we were leaving on one occasion, which is now a treasured keepsake. ) There is a wide variety of dishes on the menu to suit all tastes and when our food arrived it was hot, freshly cooked and delicious. The restaurant is situated overlooking the Broad so with the large windows most tables have a good view of the beautiful expanse of water. An outstanding vista to look out upon whilst enjoying a lovely meal! Even on a dull grey day the view is uplifting. So thank you again Filby bridge, you never disappoint and we will be back again soon.

Lovely venue set in beautiful grounds overlooking the filby boards. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Plenty of parking, friendly ducks beware they come and check you out. Proprietor very helpful, friendly banter and will accommodate any food requirements needed. Extensive menu. Well done staff!!

Filby bridge restaurant is one of my favourite places to eat and a real treat. When asked where I'd like to go for my 60th birthday I immediately said Filby Bridge. I couldn't have asked for a better night with my family. Gorgeous food, outstanding...

A random choice to stop for Sunday lunch as we were passing. The food was excellent (2 vegetarian well catered for) and a seriously large portion. Good choice of desserts as well. A couple of items sold out but to be expected at 2.30pm! We will definitely return! Pam

This was our first visit to this Restaurant and won’t be our last. I booked a table for three people by phone on aMonday when the restaurant was closed and was surprised to get a call back within half an hour. The restaurant did not...

We called in on the off chance after someone had just referred the place to eat, I had Suet steak and ale pudding and my partner had Cod & chips, when the meals were first brought to the table We thought wow looked great but then we noticed the chips were disgusting with bad potatoes with eyes in them , end pieces of the cuttings and also mostly undercooked. The owner apologised putting it down to the supplier but why put it on the plate in the first place !!. To make matters worse he only deducted £3.00 off the price of the meal when the lunch for my partner was a total disappointment. Lesson learnt, we will ifconfronted with this situation anywhere again, send the meal back straight away not expect a reasonable refund at the end, I mean £3,00 refund is taking the milk. Sadly we will tell others not to visit this restaurant which as another person has commented has cobwebs visible around the outside windows, could do with a good clean up in our opinion and treat their customers as they would like to be treated.

Lovely situation for a restaurant next to Filby Broad. The food was lovely even though we had a bit of a wait for it. I had Plaice, cooked beautifully. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Excellent restaurant. My parents have been visiting this restaurant for years and now I can see why. The food is excellent, the setting the restaurant sits in on one of the Norfolk Broads is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The prices are higher than some places but then you'd expect to pay a bit more for food of this quality. Will definitely visit the restaurant when in this part of the world again.

This place is a gem! The food was great as was the service. Quality produce cooked beautifully. Our first visit was so good that we snuck in a second visit the following day. We went for my wife's Birthday the staff were friendly and helpful. It was our first time here but we would go back again as you have proper food all fresh and no chips unless you wanted them.
