Excellent service and very good food.

İ guess this place closed 5-6 months ago. We walk 15 mins to arrive with my 7 months old baby but there is nothing named like this place.

Had an hour before our film started and the waiter looked after us so well. Had our dinner and it was absolutely wonderful.

'Cafe Ocean' staff always give excellent service producing wonderfully presented,tasty food. Every year we come to Great Yarmouth this place is our must go to. Wise to book though as it is often full.

Great service, lovely food, good portions, very reasonable, but wouldn't take a £50 note ?, lucky we had a card, wouldn't poor a half pint of Guinness from a draft tap ? said we had to buy a pint ?

I've been coming here for 15 years before it changed to ocean cafe visited the August for my grandson 2nd birthday it was beautiful food staff were friendly and tentative well recomend it

First time back since its decorating and it's great, food and staff were brilliant, only one small issue toilets need some attention but will definitely be going back.

First time I've been to eat there since it changed hands.The staff were very friendly and efficient but the menu I found was mostly fastfoods, with no traditional meals of fresh meat and vegetables that people love.The cafe was spotless I have to say with lovely decor and lighting but, the cosiness has gone it's such a shame.

Now called Cafe Ocean, can highly recommend this establishment, superb food and service and bargain pricing for this quality.

Now changed name to ocean hotel/cafe, the owners are superb, staff are friendly and the food is to die for, also offers a great coffee. Can be very busy due to being amazingly popular and the prices are great. Thanks for all my lovely visits

Waited over an hour for the food to arrive my partner's meal was luke warm mine was cold the waitress called the manager over to explain the problem with the food I have never met anyone so arrogant how he became a manager I'll never know he reluctantly agreed to not charge for the meals his parting words were the food is half price so what do you expect I expect food to be hot for a start and a manager not to be so arrogant

The hotel is splendid rooms excellent. We stayed 2nd August this year, staff brilliant nothing to much trouble always willing to help. A great stay we will definitely go back

All the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and a good choice. We dined on the first day of the government eat out to help out scheme, and the restaurant were having difficuties putting it through, but sorted it for us, and other diners. Very pleased we stopped here for our lunch.

Nice tidy looking place, staff attentive till we asked for the bill-20 minute wait.Food decidedly average. Burger cooked too long it was dry inside and crispy outside. But did eat it as i was hungry and had waited a whole. Didn't want to eat separately from my partner. Fish and chips nothing to write home about. Portion size good, quite a wait considering that numbers are limited due to social distancing. Sorry but as there are so many eateries in the area wouldnt dash back.

I called here a couple of nights ago and had a lovely vegan meal , it was good value for money and cooked very well, friendly staff and lovely surroundings, it was a warm evening so I sat outside and enjoyed the view - will definitely be back again

We went there recently to find out it had closed...the windows were greyed out and there was so sign of anyone being there for a long time, even though it still says it running on here. We had called twice hoping to book a place for dinner but the phone never went through. Very misleading

We came to visit on the spur of the moment and the food was so amazing that we immediately booked for our three year anniversary dinner. Both experiences were exceptional and we want to congratulate Ocean Spray for such a fantastic display. The food was delicious and the seafood was as fresh as could be, and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. We definitely plan to return the next time we're in the county.

This restaurant is quite simply the best around! From the atmosphere when entering until the time we leave, we are never disappointed. Food - excellent, staff - amazing, always there with a smile despite how busy they are. A truly lovely experience. We have enjoyed our meals there throughout the season. Think you have all deserved a well-earned rest. Thank you again.

Popped in for a pre hippodrome family dinner and were immediately welcomed into this lovely restaurant. Cosy and full of atmosphere. The staff are just great and the waitress went to great lengths to explain that some things were not available as the restaurant would be closing on Saturday as its the end of the season. There was in fact plenty to choose from and the food was delicious, service was excellent and we loved it.Definitely now a favourite and we'll be back next year for sure.

We've been to Great Yarmouth the lady couple of years and always walked past this place, lord knows why as we went in today and it was gorgeous food and our waitress was very friendly. Even the kids left and said she was very nice. Would definitely recommend going here. We certainly will be again.

Seafood platter was really good

Nine of us including 3 year old granddaughter had a really excellent meal here. The service was superb and our waitress so friendly and helpful so we returned the following evening!

I’m not normally a person to complain but this restaurant is terrible. Argumentative customer service , and half the food on the menu wasn’t available. Very overpriced for what you get . Would avoid

Only ate here once during a short stay in Great Yarmouth and both my husband and I really enjoyed the steak. It was moist and very tender and cooked to perfection.

Upon entering the restaurant it felt warm, cosy and inviting, only seemed to be one waiteress on (at 4.30 it was quiet) she was great, polite, smiling and friendly. My partner and I both had a mixed grill. We were both very impressed with the steak, it was so tender, just melted in the mouth. My 2 year old son also really enjoyed his spaghetti bolognaise and ate loads of the big portion. Prices may be a little high but believe me they are worth every penny, portions are huge but the quantity definitely doesn’t outweigh quality. Beautiful meal, wish we didn’t live so far so that we could eat here more often (we were on holiday and live over 2 hours away)

On a weekend trip to Great Yarmouth we decided to look for somewhere nice to go out on Saturday night for an meal.We came across this restaurant and liked the look of the menu, so booked a tableWe had a lovely night and the steak was to die for. It was very busy so we were glad we had booked. The atmosphere was friendly and the young girl that served us was lovely. The staff were attentive and we were made to feel very welcome even though all the tables were full and people waiting for seats. Thankyou for a lovely meal and when we are in Yarmouth again we will definitely dine with you again.

Absolutely Amazing place to eat. We hadn't booked and just took a chance - we had to wait a short time for a table ( completely understandable), but boy was it worth the wait. The food, the staff and the whole experience was just out of this world. My steak was cooked to perfection, and so was my other halfs - and apparently the lobster was fantastic also. We would highly recommend this restaurant - we will book next time though. If there was one thing that could have been better - the toilets were spotlessly clean - but only 1 for men and one for ladies. I've given my review 5 stars - but if it was possible to give 6, I would have !!

Food and service were excellent. The chips were to for!

We were visiting the area to see family who booked this restaurant for dinner. At 730 it was packed and people were waiting for tables. It was a great atmosphere. The staff were all amazing, friendly , attentive and very efficient. There is a great menu with a great selection of seafood and steak options with other choices. You can preorder some dishes eg Dover sole which some of the group had. We all had starters which were all good, the dip with the salt and pepper squid was very spicy and delicious, the local mussels in garlic sauce were so fresh, the garlic prawns and the fresh scallops were very good too. The steaks were also beautifully cooked and of good quality. Mine with pepper sauce was not hot but could be eaten , the fresh onion rings were great along with the chips. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would recommend this restaurant.

First night in Great Yarmouth and our B&B; hosts at Willows Guest House highly recommended this restaurant. Large selection of food and very friendly staff, had a lovely meal and we would return here.

On holiday and just happened to Stop by for a coffee, welcome was great so thought we would try the restaurant at night, absolutely brilliant from the moment we entered to when we left, booked for the following night has it was very busy and again was not let down. Try the mixed grill, job to beat it wherever you are in the country. Don’t usually write reviews but felt I had to on this occasion, just a shame it is 5 hours away!!!!!

Was recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. Tasty fish and chips, fillet steak and prawn linguine. Quite pricey, especially as peas were £2.25 extra with the fish and chips, but great quality and fresh. Friendly and efficient service. My only criticism is that on the menu board potatoes was spelt with an apostrophe :-p

I went to dinner at the Ocean Spray Seafood & steakhouse with my wife and we ordered lobster and fillet steak. The food was good, and the waitress Raquel did an outstanding service.

Visited for 2 lovely meals whilst visiting over the bank holiday weekend with our granddaughter

Went here on our weekend stay in Great Yarmouth, so glad we came here and will definitely try other dishes when we return. The steaks were flavorful, done to the way we both wanted, very delicious. Chips and onion ring batter was proper fish shop quality.

Thank you Raquel for your caring and friendly approach. We have had a fresh delicious local seafood with nice fresh sides - all you need at the sea side.

Had a fantastic meal with friends again last night. I really can't recommend this enough. Food was very tasty and well presented and the service was top class. Will be back again soon :)

We visited this place on bank holiday weekend and were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was of course very busy. We had been warned that the wait is longer than usual, but it was all worth it. The food was excellent – I would recommend their seafood platter to anyone. Mussels were great too – very rich and tasty sauce, fresh mussels, hot bread… And our special thank you to the waitress – she could not be more polite, quick and happy to help everyone. I wish we could eat there everyday! :)

The best most tender rib eye I ever had , worth the visit just for this , this restaurant does propper food and you can tell the chef cares about every dish they cook , also tried muscles for the first time here and wasn't disappointed , great restaurant and well worth a visit if you are in the area .

I had the grilled seabass in garlic butter along with grilled king prawns in garlic butter - it was all divine! Great flavours and portion size.

This was a meal the night before races next day, we chose the restaurant because menu looked good not disappointed. Welcome great waitress very pleasant drinks ordered and order very prompt. Starters I love tarasalata and that came with flatbread delicious, wife had mushrooms in garlic very pleased.Mains came steaming hot Peg had Norfolk mussels good portion and she said very tasty, my main was a grilled fresh bass fillets with salad and new potatoes cooked to perfection really enjoyed. This is a marine parade restaurant well worth a visit as food is fresh and well cooked will be back great meal

We visited the ocean spray for our anniversary and it was just perfect. Amazing home cooked food and the soup was made frome the owners home grown vegetables, delicious. Definetely worth a visit. Its our favourite restaurant when visiting Yarmouth and it never disappoints. We will be back

We were keen not to leave Great Yarmouth without indulging in some traditional fish and chips and selected The Ocean Spray Restaurant to provide said treat. Our little party consisted of myself, my wife and our nephew and we managed to snaffle the last remaining table in this rather smart restaurant.

This place is great.. We had 2 dogs and a big group, we setup on the patio at the front and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was really nice, not what I was expecting for yarmouth! Everyone had a great meal, no complaints at all. Fillet steak and lobster was a real treat that didn't disappoint.

This was the nicest meal I have ever had. The lobster is amazing. Very friendly staff. This is a must try restaurant. Preferably you need to book as it seems so popular.

We visited the restaurant around 5pm. We had been given a recommendation to come here and wow we weren't disappointed. We were given a lovely warm welcome by the front of house staff. We were quickly sat down and drinks were ordered. I ordered the ribeye steak with scallops and chorizo and my partner had a chicken ceaser salad with cheesy garlic bread. The steak I had medium rare and it was phenomenal. Its was cooked perfectly and soft and just melted in your mouth. The scallops were cooked beautiful and the chorizo topped it all off. My partners salad was very well dressed and seasoned perfectly. It was only salad but she said it was good. Very well priced and very good portion sizes. We would return.

We go here each time we go to Yarmouth, it’s not the cheapest place but they have a good selection of food and always cook perfect Steaks, staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

... chips.. I have a real hatred against some restaurants having frozen chips (you know who you are!!!). The seafood was divine - scallops cooked how they should be - not chewy and you could almost taste the sea. Staff were perfect - not in your face or totally ignoring you.

Lovely amazing food. We had a lovely waitress but we also had a not so friendly waitress who seemed to act a way towards us because we had two young children with us. Not really child friendly.

We had a lovely stay In Great Yarmouth and most meals we had were of a pretty good standard throughout the week.

Just been for our annual holiday and we use this restaurant every night we are there its run by a lovely family and the food is excellent so give it a try you won't be disappointed.

After having visited the attached cafe for a couple of lunch meals we decided to go for an evening meal here. We had booked ahead so no issues getting a table. It got busy while we we there and I think at times the table servers were a bit stretched but lovely and friendly regardless. I went for a bit of surf and turf. The steak was nice but the scallops were lovely, nicely browned yet still moist and with a lovely fresh taste of the sea. The chips were also amazing, but for me the absolute surprise were the onion rings, really light batter and cooked just enough without the onion being soggy. There was nothing on my plate that I didn't like. We'll try and go back for another meal before we head home.

4 nights stay at ocean spray, which was fantastic, the room was excellent , and the food in the restaurant was amazing , hosted by Matt and his lovely family, exceptional stay , really highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing place to eat at! We turned up without a reservation but were welcomed with a smile and seated really quickly.
