Ocean Spray in Great Yarmouth

Nice tidy looking place, staff attentive till we asked for the bill-20 minute wait.Food decidedly average. Burger cooked too long it was dry inside and crispy outside. But did eat it as i was hungry and had waited a whole. Didn't want to eat separately from my partner. Fish and chips nothing to write home about. Portion size good, quite a wait considering that numbers are limited due to social distancing. Sorry but as there are so many eateries in the area wouldnt dash back.

I called here a couple of nights ago and had a lovely vegan meal , it was good value for money and cooked very well, friendly staff and lovely surroundings, it was a warm evening so I sat outside and enjoyed the view - will definitely be back again

We came to visit on the spur of the moment and the food was so amazing that we immediately booked for our three year anniversary dinner. Both experiences were exceptional and we want to congratulate Ocean Spray for such a fantastic display. The food was delicious and the seafood was as fresh as could be, and the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. We definitely plan to return the next time we're in the county.

This restaurant is quite simply the best around! From the atmosphere when entering until the time we leave, we are never disappointed. Food - excellent, staff - amazing, always there with a smile despite how busy they are. A truly lovely experience. We have enjoyed our meals there throughout the season. Think you have all deserved a well-earned rest. Thank you again.

Popped in for a pre hippodrome family dinner and were immediately welcomed into this lovely restaurant. Cosy and full of atmosphere. The staff are just great and the waitress went to great lengths to explain that some things were not available as the restaurant would be closing on Saturday as its the end of the season. There was in fact plenty to choose from and the food was delicious, service was excellent and we loved it.Definitely now a favourite and we'll be back next year for sure.

We've been to Great Yarmouth the lady couple of years and always walked past this place, lord knows why as we went in today and it was gorgeous food and our waitress was very friendly. Even the kids left and said she was very nice. Would definitely recommend going here. We certainly will be again.

Nine of us including 3 year old granddaughter had a really excellent meal here. The service was superb and our waitress so friendly and helpful so we returned the following evening!

Only ate here once during a short stay in Great Yarmouth and both my husband and I really enjoyed the steak. It was moist and very tender and cooked to perfection.

Upon entering the restaurant it felt warm, cosy and inviting, only seemed to be one waiteress on (at 4.30 it was quiet) she was great, polite, smiling and friendly. My partner and I both had a mixed grill. We were both very impressed with the steak, it was so tender, just melted in the mouth. My 2 year old son also really enjoyed his spaghetti bolognaise and ate loads of the big portion. Prices may be a little high but believe me they are worth every penny, portions are huge but the quantity definitely doesn’t outweigh quality. Beautiful meal, wish we didn’t live so far so that we could eat here more often (we were on holiday and live over 2 hours away)

On a weekend trip to Great Yarmouth we decided to look for somewhere nice to go out on Saturday night for an meal.We came across this restaurant and liked the look of the menu, so booked a tableWe had a lovely night and the steak was to die for. It was very busy so we were glad we had booked. The atmosphere was friendly and the young girl that served us was lovely. The staff were attentive and we were made to feel very welcome even though all the tables were full and people waiting for seats. Thankyou for a lovely meal and when we are in Yarmouth again we will definitely dine with you again.

We were visiting the area to see family who booked this restaurant for dinner. At 730 it was packed and people were waiting for tables. It was a great atmosphere. The staff were all amazing, friendly , attentive and very efficient. There is a great menu with a great selection of seafood and steak options with other choices. You can preorder some dishes eg Dover sole which some of the group had. We all had starters which were all good, the dip with the salt and pepper squid was very spicy and delicious, the local mussels in garlic sauce were so fresh, the garlic prawns and the fresh scallops were very good too. The steaks were also beautifully cooked and of good quality. Mine with pepper sauce was not hot but could be eaten , the fresh onion rings were great along with the chips. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would recommend this restaurant.

First night in Great Yarmouth and our B&B; hosts at Willows Guest House highly recommended this restaurant. Large selection of food and very friendly staff, had a lovely meal and we would return here.

On holiday and just happened to Stop by for a coffee, welcome was great so thought we would try the restaurant at night, absolutely brilliant from the moment we entered to when we left, booked for the following night has it was very busy and again was not let down. Try the mixed grill, job to beat it wherever you are in the country. Don’t usually write reviews but felt I had to on this occasion, just a shame it is 5 hours away!!!!!

Was recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. Tasty fish and chips, fillet steak and prawn linguine. Quite pricey, especially as peas were £2.25 extra with the fish and chips, but great quality and fresh. Friendly and efficient service. My only criticism is that on the menu board potatoes was spelt with an apostrophe :-p

I went to dinner at the Ocean Spray Seafood & steakhouse with my wife and we ordered lobster and fillet steak. The food was good, and the waitress Raquel did an outstanding service.

Had a fantastic meal with friends again last night. I really can't recommend this enough. Food was very tasty and well presented and the service was top class. Will be back again soon :)

We visited this place on bank holiday weekend and were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was of course very busy. We had been warned that the wait is longer than usual, but it was all worth it. The food was excellent – I would recommend their seafood platter to anyone. Mussels were great too – very rich and tasty sauce, fresh mussels, hot bread… And our special thank you to the waitress – she could not be more polite, quick and happy to help everyone. I wish we could eat there everyday! :)

The best most tender rib eye I ever had , worth the visit just for this , this restaurant does propper food and you can tell the chef cares about every dish they cook , also tried muscles for the first time here and wasn't disappointed , great restaurant and well worth a visit if you are in the area .

I had the grilled seabass in garlic butter along with grilled king prawns in garlic butter - it was all divine! Great flavours and portion size.

This was a meal the night before races next day, we chose the restaurant because menu looked good not disappointed. Welcome great waitress very pleasant drinks ordered and order very prompt. Starters I love tarasalata and that came with flatbread delicious, wife had mushrooms in garlic very pleased.Mains came steaming hot Peg had Norfolk mussels good portion and she said very tasty, my main was a grilled fresh bass fillets with salad and new potatoes cooked to perfection really enjoyed. This is a marine parade restaurant well worth a visit as food is fresh and well cooked will be back great meal

We visited the ocean spray for our anniversary and it was just perfect. Amazing home cooked food and the soup was made frome the owners home grown vegetables, delicious. Definetely worth a visit. Its our favourite restaurant when visiting Yarmouth and it never disappoints. We will be back

We were keen not to leave Great Yarmouth without indulging in some traditional fish and chips and selected The Ocean Spray Restaurant to provide said treat. Our little party consisted of myself, my wife and our nephew and we managed to snaffle the last remaining table in this rather smart restaurant.

This was the nicest meal I have ever had. The lobster is amazing. Very friendly staff. This is a must try restaurant. Preferably you need to book as it seems so popular.

We visited the restaurant around 5pm. We had been given a recommendation to come here and wow we weren't disappointed. We were given a lovely warm welcome by the front of house staff. We were quickly sat down and drinks were ordered. I ordered the ribeye steak with scallops and chorizo and my partner had a chicken ceaser salad with cheesy garlic bread. The steak I had medium rare and it was phenomenal. Its was cooked perfectly and soft and just melted in your mouth. The scallops were cooked beautiful and the chorizo topped it all off. My partners salad was very well dressed and seasoned perfectly. It was only salad but she said it was good. Very well priced and very good portion sizes. We would return.

We go here each time we go to Yarmouth, it’s not the cheapest place but they have a good selection of food and always cook perfect Steaks, staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

... chips.. I have a real hatred against some restaurants having frozen chips (you know who you are!!!). The seafood was divine - scallops cooked how they should be - not chewy and you could almost taste the sea. Staff were perfect - not in your face or totally ignoring you.

We had a lovely stay In Great Yarmouth and most meals we had were of a pretty good standard throughout the week.

Just been for our annual holiday and we use this restaurant every night we are there its run by a lovely family and the food is excellent so give it a try you won't be disappointed.

After having visited the attached cafe for a couple of lunch meals we decided to go for an evening meal here. We had booked ahead so no issues getting a table. It got busy while we we there and I think at times the table servers were a bit stretched but lovely and friendly regardless.

4 nights stay at ocean spray, which was fantastic, the room was excellent , and the food in the restaurant was amazing , hosted by Matt and his lovely family, exceptional stay , really highly recommended.

This place was amazing in every way to the welcoming service and such outgoing staff to the chef I have never had such an amazing starter and meal (didn’t have dessert) the steak was out of this world delicious this is a must go to restaurant. The chef even thanked us for going in and made an effort to come and speak with us GO GO GO !

We had a lovely family meal my grandson and me had the seafood platter which was really tasty my grand daughter had the soup then spaghetti Bolognese and last but not least my husband had the rib eye steak with garlic butter a very enjoyable evening staff very friendly and a nice atmosphere

From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed by Charlotte, our waitress. The food was amazing, we had a seafood salad, hunters chicken burger, onion rings and two alcoholic drinks for under £50! Huge portions! Freshly prepared, tasty with excellent staff. Cannot recommend enough.

We were walking around the town wondering where to go before our show on the Pier and stumbled upon this restaurant, and we’re so glad we did! There was a good amount of varied choice on the menu with a special dish too which was chicken curry. I had the garlic chicken and it was delicious and came with a lot of sides which were fab.

We came to Yarmouth on a day visit and decided on this restaurant from previous reviews and I’m so glad we did!! The food was absolutely incredible, hands down the best steak I’ve ever had, and the fish incredibly fresh! The service also was top standard and they catered to all our needs and added an extra personal touch! Thank you everyone at ocean spray restaurant for a wonderful visit, would certainly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, good service and the food was amazing! Such good portion, and I can’t recall the prices now but in that case it must have been reasonable/good value for the food presented! Would definitely return and recommend.

4 of us went today Saturday 6th July. Exceptionally busy as motorbike festival was in progress. 1 large mixed grill, 1 beef stroganoff , 1 seafood platter and a huge burger with cheese and bacon and fries, extra fries and drinks less than £100. The quality is good and food is piping hot NOT microwave muck. It`s a must if you want a filling meal ..we used the cafe but had a meal from the main menu well worth it

This is a lovely place to eat I had mussels my husband had the sea bass and he said it was the best he had ever had and the mussels was also very very nice.

The high point of the visit was the meal at the Ocean Spray Seafood & Steakhouse. The decor is maritime (fishing nets, shells, etc) and the atmosphere is calm and the service friendly. All customers are greeted warmly and regulars fawned over by the staff.

All I can say is fantastic! Amazing server and a great kitchen team. The chef even came out of the kitchen to see if our food was ok, great value for the quality of food. The chef told us that he always uses fresh local ingredients which is amazing. The team couldn’t have done enough for use. Highly highly recommend.

Wowwww this place always blows my mind....great food (fish all caught locally and daily), prices are very reasonable as the portion sizes are large that ive not managed to finish a plate yet and they cook to your requirements for example i asked for as little butter as possible which made it amazing for me but my friend asked for extra garlic butter which made it amazing for them.....staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble

Me and my family 6, went in was seated straight away, staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the banter was instantly flowing. Drinks came within minutes and she was taking our order, nothing was too much trouble. Chef came out and introduced himself, my partner wanted to order the crab crawls and the chef apologised and said he didn’t have any as only frozen was available and he only buys fresh, which to us spoken volumes.

Read the reviews and thought we would take a chance. Nothing left to chance here. Service exceptional, friendly and efficient. Raquel went out of her way to help us. What a joy to be able to look through the menu at our leisure. Raquel was on hand to answer any questions without us feeling hurried.

Me and my partner vist ocean spray at least once a month for dinner when its open, If im being honest this little gem has ruined eating out for me because since our first visit no other resturant in my opinion can compete with the quailty of there menu, best cuts of steak and finest seafood all cooked to perfection, lovely atmosphere and very very good service.

Called in for dinner,very busy which is always a good sign,very clean pleasant resturanr,staff were very friendly and helpful,i had cod and sweet potato fries it was delicious,fish was very good,it is very good value and would visit again.

We stumbled across this gem on our evening playing amusements. It was really busy but they got us in. The service was fabulous, very efficient and friendly. The food was really nice and tasty. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not cheap but on the sea front their are plenty of cheap options if you want that but it is averagely priced for a lovely dinner and great service! Highly recommended!

We stumbled across this place while looking for dinner and wow are we glad we did. The service was fabulous and it was the waitress who had just come back from travelling, she was attentive, kind and made us feel very welcomed. The food was absolutely amazing; we had hummus which was home made and delicious. My partner had a burger and I had steak that was cooked to perfection, the chips were also home cooked all of the food was fresh and the portion sizes were huge. I would without a doubt recommend this place.

Went to the Ocean Spray restaurant with my husband . I had the grilled seabass which was delicious my husband had the skate which was equally good . The waitress was very pleasant and helpful and after the meal the chef came to our table and we had a long chat . All in all the food was excellent and the staff very pleasant and attentive would certainly visit again .

Was a bit concerned when they said there were several foods not available due to a few days closing. We really didn't need to worry. Perfectly cooked steak. The best peppercorn sauce and amazing service. Thank you all,we will definitely be returning.

My family and I have visited Ocean Spray several times and always pick it over the other half dozen restaurants on the row, and I'd recommend this to others. The menu is varied and the food is well cooked and presented. The head waitress is delightful, attentive and can't do enough. Nice ambience and setting; clean and tidy too.

We visit Great Yarmouth every May. This restaurant is fantastic the food is delicious with a really extensive menu. Everything tastes fresh. The staff are friendly helpful professional and very attentive. We highly recommend it but you might want to book as they are so busy. No wonder really because it is great.

We walked up and down the seafront, unsure of where to go for dinner. I remembered seeing Ocean Spray on Trip Advisor and we decided to go in. Service was really good. One of our party was being strict with herself about her diet, and after explaining to our waitress all the things she wouldn't be comfortable with in her fish preparation the waitress went off to the kitchen. When the meals arrived she explained to us that the chef had taken on board the dietary concerns, and completely changed the way the dish was prepared. Top marks for going the extra mile. All the meals were really well prepared, and my mixed grill was especially enjoyable. All in all, I would definitely recommend Ocean Spray.

Ocean Spray is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal whether travelling as a couple or a family. The food is great quality, they've got a good selection on the menu including for kids and a fully licenced bar for the grown ups! The customer service is nothing short of exception. A wonderful place to dine and well worth a visit.

We were a party of 7. Every one of us had an excellent meal. We had a variety of dishes, prawns, scallops, lamb chops ,chicken, and deserts. The service was very good and friendly. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We had passed the Ocean Spray whilst walking along the sea front and decided to call in for a meal at lunchtime. Best decision of the day. We both has Steaks that were cooked to perfection, the presentation of the food was excellent as was the service. The Chef even came out and asked us personally if everything was to our liking, now that is service beyond what we expected. Just wish we lived closer this would be our favourite place to eat. Thank you to all the staff for such an excellent meal.

I took my partner away for a weekend break and on our first night looked for somewhere to dine. As we walked along the front we saw the ocean spray restaurant which from the outside looked really inviting as it appeared fresh and very tidy. We decided to go in to eat and instantly we saw it was really busy. Nevertheless we told the waitress we would like a table for two and were told there would be a short wait so we headed to the bar and had a couple of drinks whilst waiting. The atmosphere was really good and it didn’t take long to be seated. Our waitress was called Raquel and had apologised a few times for the wait. She was very professional and hospitable considering the place was packed and it didn’t take very long to have our meals. Raquel made our evening perfect so thank you for that. The food was delicious with no complaints at all and considering it was so busy that night, none of the staff appeared stressed but just did what they do best, serve customers with a smile.

Went to dinner with frievds Saturday evening staff greeted us and we were taken to our table. The menu was extensive and had lots of choice. I had the king prawns grilled in garlic butter followed by by the delicious stilton burger with amazing fries. Wine was very reasonable and everyone of our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We will definetly be back soon.

Oh my God!!!!! Absolutely fantastic had scallops and whitebait starter followed by steak. Meal was so nice steak so soft melted In your mouth. Staff so polite and helpful. Clean and tidy! Perfect end to a lovely holiday.

Went today the 19th April 2019.

Weekend break to great Yarmouth and headed to the ocean spray for our first meal. The fillet steak was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Worth every penny. Definitely recommend.

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had a chance to try scallops and then had the best ever steak nom nom nom. Would highly recommend a visit here.

Whenever we go to Great Yarmouth we always make a reservation for this restaurant - the staff are very friendly; the atmosphere is brilliant and the food is EXCELLENT

I had the seafood platter and strawberry cheesecake, all very nice and delicious. Raquel my waitress was so polite and friendly and I would honestly say that was the best part. The food could have been michelin star but if the waitresses are rude it doesnt mean anything so I enjoyed my visit because of this lovely waitress

So sad to know that if we visit Great Yarmouth over the next coming months our fave restaurant will not be there to greet us with their wonderful food and fantastic staff - look forward to next season - well recommended ; a must visit when you are in Great Yarmouth

What a brilliant place to eat right on Great Yarmouth sea front. Made you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door. Food cooked fresh so yes you do have to wait but so worth it.

Had a long weekend here Oct 2018 this is the best accommodation I have stayed in this country just been refurbished looks fantastic most comfortable bed I have stayed in food was fantastic in the restaurant and all staff can not do enough for you if looking book you will not be disappointed

A nostalgic trip to my birth town was rounded off with a trip to this fine restaurant.

We often visit ocean spray for a meal in July we love this restaurant very friendly staff and the food is amazing would recommend visiting this restaurant
