Daley's Coffee House in Southend-on-Sea

Staff are very friendly, always served quickly. I can easily say they have the best coffee locally. I only stop by for takeaway coffees, they are delicious, perfectly made every time and fairly priced. Also to note, perfect place to bring kids, they have a small kids play area.

Perfect for our grandchild and us to call in. Also he can play there and decent people who run the cafe .

I would name this cafe ‘Thank You’ cafe. The lady would be upset and repeat thank you if any kid doesn’t thank her enough. I want her to to visit other fast food restaurant so that she will be able to differentiate and appreciate the customers she gets every day. First, you be humble apart from the differentiations. Also I suggest she allows customers pets in the outside tables. When pets are inside I always wonder when would the dogs be ruffled hair in the air and onto my plate.

Was okay till a member of staff rudely asked me and my 9 month old to "either stay at our table or at the play area" despite loads of other children playing and obviously children are gonna roam?? Don't have a play area if you don't want children playing. Play area was okay quite small and a bit dirty though. Coffee was nice other staff member was nice enough shame other lady let them down.

The iced lattes are our favorite in Leigh! Karen, Mike, Laura and the rest of the family that run Daley's are so friendly, kind and devoted to their beautiful coffee house. It's always filled with smiling families-it has a great play room for small children and our teenagers love the milkshakes! Very reasonably priced, making it great for couples and families, alike. Definitely try it!

What a fantastic place to eat lunch with little kids! Really yummy food too and a good menu for children.

Karen is absolutely lovely . She is an amazing host and always gives a little treat to kids when they leave. The play area is outstanding with lots of toys, where children can play and parents can relax. This place is a Godsend. The food and the drinks are also excellent, the cupcakes are yummy too. I would strongly recommend this place. I love it there and can’t wait to go back. The owners lob children and care about them. Valérie and Roxy.

Our first time visiting and will definitely be back. Had my nearly 3 year old Great Nephew with me and he loved the play area. The food was lovely and reasonably price. And the 'little treat' for my great nephew was a lovely touch. Will be back soon .

Staff very friendly and very helpful

Just wanted to say thanks to the lovely lady who works here who offered a free a slush puppy taster on a hot day to my daughter after school. The smiling service was welcomed as we just had the most awful interaction with an incredibly rude owner of the newsagent shop next door (chalkwell newsagent off licence). I don't advise anyone to go into the newsagent next door but absolutely recommend Daley's Coffee house which looks great and staff are delightfully polite. Will be coming back to try out the menu.

Popped in here at late afternoon with other mamas and tired/hungry babies. We were still welcomed and didn't feel awkward. We settled ourselves and service was very quick from a polite and friendly woman. The coffee is good (properly made, not bitter or watered down) and the price is really reasonable. The play space is an excellent idea, really so many toys there. Plenty of high hairs who h is always a bonus! Decor is plain and unfussy which makes it quite comfortable to be in. Really nice for a space for parents to have a quick caffeine fix and a place for kiddos to explore.

My wife and I always pop in to Daley's after shopping for a full breakfast, and if local will pop in for lunch, it's great value and friendly service, I would highly recommend 👍

Lovely little coffee house. Brilliant place to bring kids. They serve beautiful food and reasonably priced too. They have the kids designated area with lots to do and play with. Just across the road from chalkwell park, makes this a favourite for families with young children 👍👍

Daley’s is so lovely and inviting. Both my boys really love going there and my eldest actively asks to go to ‘the cafe with the toys at the table’ - it was coined this title during a time where the play area was off bounds due to restrictions yet they still made it an enjoyable experience for kids by having a basket of toys for each table which were then meticulously cleaned before giving to the next customers. They are always very smiley and welcoming plus very accommodating with meal choices. Baby changing facilities are also great if you are in need.

Lovely friendly service with good value food

Absolutely amazing family / child friendly place, hospitality, and customer service is second to none. I have been coming here for some time now, and is the only place with a children's toy area like this, with this level of attentiveness. Daley's have also just held my daughter's 3rd birthday party which was amazing value for money and went perfectly. Great coffee too. The staff care about their customers and serve you quickly. Wonderful

Karen and Mike were the perfect hosts of our wedding vow afternoon tea all our guests gave high praise for the buffet and service provided by them...the childrens play area was an added bonus for the younger members of our group...ideal location for families visiting Chalkwell Park......I personally recommended Karens Jacket potatoes....and Dee my wife loves her carrot cake....so if your in the area please have no hesitation in going to Daleys as the food and friendly service is simply the best ❤

what a lovely tea room we visited here today to celebrate friends renewal of vows which took place at st Augustine church, we carried on to dayleys after, they laid on a beautiful buffet! I will be returning for lunch soon, they have a play corner for young children and being opposite chalkwell park it is in a ideal spot I do believe I saw a sign that said children's meals 2 pounds cheaper than taking a picnic!! really was a perfect end to a perfect day thank you dayleys

Visited this cafe with some friends and family after a do!! Lovely food, staff and interior would recommend you pop in, there is a lovely kids section to keep them occupied!!

Amazing food and atmosphere. Great service

Having been here before and the kids loved it we decided to come back again. I must say they never let us down the staff and very helpful, polite and caring, they do not rush you and are always pleased to help. We had the summer specials which were well worth the money and very delicious. Kids had milkshakes, chips and ice creams again worth every penny. The kids were still thirsty so asked for some water and what an amazing service they poured a jug of water with ice and five glasses to our table and no charge for the water. We have now decided that this is our must go to cafe if we are in this area. Thank you to the staff of Daley’s

Lovely friendly café! Food was lovely, well priced and speedy. My little boy was very grumpy and had a massive tantrum, the staff were fab and tried to help anyway they could Can't recommend highly enough! 🎉

Was told about this Child friendly Café and that they have a play area too. Got round to visiting at last with our 4yr old granddaughter. Lots of children there enjoying eating, drinking and playing. Isabella played, ate and played more before coming back to eat again, we sat and relaxed and drank milk shake. Will be back for pancakes one morning.

Second time at this wonderful cafe/coffee house and I’m always thinking of an excuse to walk past (in) again. Food is delicious and generous and I can’t say enough good about the staff. Can’t wait for our next meal there.

We went to Dalys today and used it as a meeting point for a lot of family with young children under 5. We were a large noisy party (sorry)and we were made to feel so welcome. The food was very good, gluten free and vegan family members catered for well.Good friendly service with smiles. Great play area that kept kids amused.Thank you very much.

Great people great food and proper coffee. Small player area for pre school kids and loads of bits that they can play with. Tables are close enough to just watch them play too.

Fantastic little gem in the heart of Westcliff.

Lovely play area for the children, Ice cream came with various toppings for the children to create their own which they loved & customer service was spot on. Will definitely visit again, tomorrow in fact!

Lovely food , such a lot of choice from cooked breakfast to ploughmans was spoilt for choice. Opted for the vegetarian breakfast wrap it was amazing. Followed by an iced latte delicious. The cakes looked scrumptious will have one next time. Loved the play area keeps the little ones busy. Such friendly helpful staff nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely come again.

Welcoming, good value and incredibly child friendly. Probably the most accommodating cafe I've every eaten in.

A simple menu but good to go with a pram. Can get very noisy if busy though. Separate kiddies corner, hence noise.
