Lovely venue in a beautiful rural location, with a great view out of the window. Could do with a bit of touching up internally and the floor was a tad creaky, but the room was lovely and quiet, and K had a good, comfortable night's sleep. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

I recently visited The Bicycle Shop in Norwich with a couple of my friends, and honestly, what a lovely little spot. Tucked away on St Benedicts Street, it has this quirky, vintage vibe with old bicycles hanging on the walls and a cozy, mismatched interior that feels instantly welcoming. We went in not knowing exactly what to expect, but from the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt just right — chilled, warm, and full of character. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The food really impressed us — everything was fresh, full of flavour, and there were some great options for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed brunch, a catch-up over coffee, or just somewhere with good food and even better vibes, I’d definitely recommend The Bicycle Shop. It’s one of those places that makes you want to come back again, and I’m pretty sure we will.

What a lovely experience at The Boot at Sarratt. From the moment we opened the door to the pub/restaurant until the time we left, we were made to feel special and welcome. The food, drink and service were all excellent and the environment is a quintessential British Pub at its best. Extensive lunchtime menu, plus a specials board and the mini lunches, which are perfect for that time of day. Dog friendly area near the bar and the common opposite made it a lovely day out. Many thanks to Zoe who was a ray of sunshine and provided such good service and personality.

Thoroughly enjoyable two day break. Room was superb, large room on the second floor with a huge bay window and sea views. The staff are professional but friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The lounge areas are plentiful and comfortable and the bar is cosy and has a clubby feel to it. The restaurant has a good ambiance and is popular with non residents as well as residents which is not surprising given the superb choice and quality of the food, possibly the best food we have had in any hotel and over the years we have stayed in many both at home and abroad. We strongly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Don’t walk.. run for the Sunday roasts!! Me and my mum were driving around for ages to find a Sunday roast and hadn’t booked but they accommodated us anyway. It was Devine and my mum being a chef too had no criticisms which is a shocker! Only thing I nearly choked when a large pineapple juice and still water was £9 though 🫣 Other than that, banging!

Randomly came across this pub as we googled pubs in Essex and this one didn't appear in the search, as we were driving to the pub we were going too we spotted this one on the way so we decided to go here. what a surprise, staff were brilliant, food was delicious and the pub itself was absolutely stunning, if you love the old pictures, fire places and oak beams you will love this pub, quiet, no riff raff, truly worth a visit.

Booked a family meal here for Good Friday lunch. Our carver, Chris, was very friendly, as was Paula, our server. We've been coming to this carvery for 10+ years and can honestly count on one hand, how many bad experiences we've had. I highly recommend Thorpe Bay Toby, as the staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is lovely. Thank you 😊
