Nice clean cafe with good seating inside and partially outside, at base of pier. Good cup of coffee; would rate higher if they offered any gluten free cakes or sandwiches.

Popped in for a drink with the dog. Although not permitted in the main bar you can take dog into the conservatory area where overhead heaters are available to help on those colder days

After having booked three weeks in advance, our table wasn't ready and they couldn't accommodate us. We pre ordered our food to be told the day before that the meals we had chosen were not available. We ended up leaving without eating.

Absolutely superb meal, delicious and piping hot. King prawns were huge!!! Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Thank you for a great evening.

Good place. It's just a pity that the sea is not few. I didn't eat or drink, it wouldn't be fair if I rated it.

Generally disappointing. Used to visit most Saturdays but got fed up of drinks coming an age before the food and then the food missing items when it did arrive. We have waited 45 mins for a hot drink before - the one time our food arrived first, the drink was late!! Our friend ordered egg on toast with salmon or similar and didn’t get the egg for four weeks - she gave up ordering in the end! They see to only have about three pastries ready and with it being reasonably expensive- it’s just a let down. If it wasn’t situated on the pier, it would have shut years ago. We now use Sea View and the difference is huge - great place.

We visited to to find cold food appalling staff service from a bold management staff would never visit again

Sat outside as we had the dog in the wind and rain and it was warm and dry and really well done. With blankets if we wanted them. We'll thought out!!

A great place for a bite to eat

Visited on New Year’s Eve. It was extremely busy and no organisation in terms of tables (people taking tables that other people got to before them) Ended up having to get a refund for coffee/hot drink items as we had somewhere to be and service was slow as they only have 1 coffee machine. A second coffee machine may help. The staff member that processed my refund was friendly and helpful and did apologise so I have no issues with the customer service.

Nice hot coffee good size piece of cake . Very noisy with some people who can’t seem to talk without shouting and the table opposite having a picnic for their kids with food they’d brought with themselves would visit again but checking how noisy it is first

Was very busy but amazing food and lovely bar

Solid effort, service good and the settings being on the pier is very good. Despite my chicken Cajun burger being frozen it was very good slightly watery. Chunky chips and skinny fries were tasty. Great selection of draft and bottles beers.

Went for a bite to eat this afternoon. My partner and I ordered some drinks and food. We received our food before we got our drinks and we’re told they never received the drinks order. We showed them a receipt and they got these for us which I appreciate is a simple error. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken basket which came and was honestly the worst chicken ever. It was definitely not southern fried chicken. It was also really spicy & I don’t like spicy food. The batter around the chicken was like bread… it was awful. I had to give it to my partner in the end and pick all the batter off around it as it was too spicy for me and he didn’t like the batter either. A gentleman cleared our plates away and asked how it was. I told him it wasn’t very nice and my reasoning as to why I said this. The waiter said ‘Oh okay’ and he took our plates in the kitchen. We didn’t get any compensation or an apology. Won’t be returning here. It wasn’t busy either due to being a Thursday afternoon. I also think the food is way too expensive for what it is.

Went for a coffee and cup of tea, if you're slightly pressed for time don't go to the boardwalk, half an hour after ordering on the QR code it eventually arrived.

Nice place , staff could be described as efficient, not the most friendly welcome. Food was lovely, ordered from the small dish menu , would’ve given 5 stars but for £8.25 I would expect a few more chicken wings than 4 half of wings. Cannot fault the quality of the food though, the chorizo chicken was delicious. An excellent choice of beers as well.

Eaten here a few times. Breakfast is good. The last meal we had was good. This time not so much. Got our order wrong. Had clearly put it through incorrectly on the till as the items are next to each other in the menu. Manager wasn't overly quick in coming over. Then came back to show us the order that had gone through. Ummed and ahhed a bit (mostly over the 70p price difference). Then left us with the wrong order until he could confirm that we could actually get what we had wanted. Not great customer service really. Mistakes do happen no need to imply that it was the customer's fault. Nice place for drinks but ultimately the food is overpriced for what it is. Shame as competition on the sea front is limited so could be better.

Good atmosphere but what ever happened to service with a smile? Staff seem disinterested with no attention to detail.

Great place to visit with great views over the water

This has to be, in my opinion, one of Felixstowes best places as it has it all, good selection of drinks and lovely food all reasonably priced, and it's right on the beach with a great view of Felixstowe and the sea what more could you want.

I just sent this to the broadwalk cage Felixstowe do you think &21.50 is a lot to pay for two drinks I went to the The Boardwalk cafe today, I went to the bars and asked for a pint of peroni and the bartender put two bottles on the bar , I asked if they did it on tap and she said no. I then asked for a glass and she went to a tray by the till with what looked like dirty glasses, she went to the sink and washed it and brought it back I refused it as it was still dirty she said it’s not dirty or the dishwasher marks . I advised I just seen you wash it in the sink it dirty I am not having that glass . So she went back to the sink and washed it again and put it on the bar I advised it’s still dirty I am sorry I am not using it . Another bartender came over and she took it away and said she will steam it which she did I was then brought back and out on the counter very hot , I advise I am not putting two cold bottle into a hot glass she tutted and then went and put in in the ice to cool it down which it did after ordering the beer and large glass of white wine spritzer and paying £21.50 I have to say I did t have a very nice experience

A nice place to sit with a nice cold drink or food on the deck looking out at felixstowe sea. They also do live music with a great atmosphere

Beautiful location. Especially on a summer evening. Food was disappointing. Chicken burger was tough and rubbery. But Very dog friendly and Rolo didn’t mind the chicken 😆

Lovely location, but not great food for the price. I had a club sandwich that had absolutely no sauce in it, the only thing about it that wasn’t dry were the tomatoes. Children’s meal was extremely overpriced. I probably wouldn’t recommend a visit based on our experience today, though the staff were perfectly lovely.

The wait for food was too long, 40 mins for 2 sandwiches and a breakfast. The sandwiches were a bit short on filling but were passable, but the breakfast was horrible most of it was barely warm, by the time I got to the bacon it was stone cold the butter to go on the toast just poured itself over the toast, having paid over £38 for this I shall never return. I gave this place 1 star as I couldn't give it half a Star.

I live locally and i/we usually pop in here on the odd occasion for a quick drink. Due to prices it's not a place that we would visit often nor would most locals visit often. Also, the facilities and food here does not reflect the high prices. I'd expect far better for the price they charge for food and drink. I'm happy to pay that bit more for quality food and quality facilities. But unfortunately most of the food from here is frozen and not fresh, even the bread is stale and that is just basic out of a bag food (come on guys),,,, the quality of food here is probably on par with budget supermarket food, the quantity is small and miserable looking. Then you are given a seat that isn't any more comfortable than a park bench. The whole experience is 'Poor' at best. This place is definitely missing a trick here, and it can only be blamed on poor management. Waterproof cushions is a cheap option to provide comfort, or better still buy better chairs. So sorry to say I can at best only score this bar/restaurant 2 stars. And that's only because of the 'sometimes' friendly staff and location. I would score the food, facilities and extortionate prices 0 stars.

Was a good place to meet family. The weather was great made it easier to enjoy a few pints. Shame the whole length of the pier isn't open any more

Dried bread on my sandwich! Complained and was told it was fresh! It was more like toast! Couldn't eat it. We didn't get to eat together as each meal was delivered so slowly. A lot of money for rubbish meal

Great food, good service and amazing views.

They food wasn't bad when it showed up. I had a burger and my friend had fish and chips. They burger was pretty good but the chips were average and had no coleslaw as they had advertised. The main problem is we had to wait 50 minutes for our average food to show up and it all cost about £40 to add insult to injury.

Good place with a good atmosphere when we visited

This is a great place if you want to sit and relax with a pint on a sunny day the food and service is great however slightly over priced and the portions are small, I will visit again but only for a cool refreshing drink on a hot day.

Very rude snobby atmosphere, came in for a couple of overpriced coffees with my boyfriend and his daughter after spending some time at the arcade just next door.. she won some prizes but was forced to put one of them in the bin by a tall worker with glasses and white hair , male who was very rude, felt like he was looking down at us.. and made my boyfriend's daughter very upset! Won't be coming here again.. they need to understand that they're right next to an arcade...

Went in there after the playing in the arcade for a coffee and was told that my 12 year old have to throw her prize away as its not allowed in there ( the prize was a candy cotton drink ).. the old man serving was disrespectful and didnt tell us till after we paid for drinks his attitude spoiled our holiday . That's one way to lose customers and won't be spending a penny there ever again.

We arrived, having waited in vain to order lunch at another place. Ordering at the bar was swift, and when the food was served, it was in a different league to what we had seen further down the road. Presentation on the plates was faultless; the battered cod was fresh and cooked to perfection. In addition, the chips and mushy peas were just right, plus tartare sauce and lemon wedge. Having used the 'facilities' before leaving, I can state that the loos are spacious and spotless. We plan to eat here again.

Perfectly fine really, pretty nice, did think a tad overpriced though? (As have had abit tastier, more unusual, & even slightly larger portions, for abit less £ lately, in other food outlets).. However, quite a good choice. Mix & Match small plates - though you'd have to spend a reasonable amount (for typical lunch) to get a wide enough selection/quantity, do look worth trying. Nice staff, good bar, pleasant views out to sea (weatherproof locale - with inside, partially covered, & outside seating with umbrellas), nice bathroom too.

I felt the atmosphere was very noisy and seating not very comfortable. It took a long time for the food to arrive which is difficult with children. However, the food, when we got it, was very nice.

forgot the hash brown and black pudding on a breakfast. Over cooked eggs, Way overpriced for what you get.did they grab someone of the seafront to work a shift? Who knows. Person who took my order was very rude, barely paid attention to me when talking about allergies. All basic stuff they can't do.

Great friendly and quick service, food fresh and very good, toughly enjoyed our visit, will be back soon.

Had senior fish and chips yesterday, best ever, size just enough, very good price, helpful staff and great atmosphere. Look forward to visiting again soonest

I enjoy coming here with my friends for coffee/food to chill out. Sitting inside or outside enjoying the sea view. The staff are very friendly, helpful and give a good service. Food is nice, as most places expensive to be expected. But you can check their menu food and drinks out online so you know what to expect before you get there, you can like most restaurants order from your table on an app. It is a lovely relaxing atmosphere and you can play board games as well now. They do have event nights as well which they advertise on fb as well as outside the Boardwalk. I really like the place.

Worst place I ever been, personal was rude, if you don't agree with them they straight away will say "we can call manager" and manager don't solve the problem. Expensive. Hardly understand people whose talking with accents. If you planing coming here with children and they already eating something else from outside (doesn't matter that parents order a meat) children will be told to go out, while parents waiting and eating food children have to stay outside and look how parents eating. Waiting order a long time. Order salad.

We came to visit the Felixtowe pier, which was closed. It was a good sunny day and we visited the restaurant for afternoon food. Lovely view of the beach and good fresh food, i must say. We ordered fried prawn with Fish and chips. It was served hot. The staff were very humble and service was unexpectedly quick. Excellent fish and chips. A bit pricey but good size and quality

Liked the look of the menu but unfortunately none of the staff control seating and so all the benches that seat 4 were ALL occupied by couples.. with tables for 2 opposite all left unoccupied. Us as a 3 had nowhere to sit and therefore had to go elsewhere. Doesn't make sense to me that they're happy for this to happen.

Walked in here with my son for lunch and The Boardwalk didn't disappoint 👌🏼 tried their Asian sharing platter of crispy squid, crispy beef, crispy chicken, salad leaves and vegetable spring rolls and it was amazing!!! FISH & chips were yummy too!! Highly recommend 👌🏼

Unbelievably friendly staff! Food was good, but it was the staff that really helped this place. Nice location and great for a coffee or light lunch overlooking the beach and sea.
