Brewers Fayre Hampton in Peterborough

We went as a family to the soft play and ordered food and drinks. Michelle who works in the soft play section is a credit to the company and personally I feel she is under valued. Without her attentive care the soft play area would not run as well as it does. She makes sure everyone is OK and that the kids are all fine. We can't praise her highly enough. She is that nice that we felt it only right to go and buy her flowers and chocolates to say thank you to her for her continued care.

Will the waiter at the restaurant has an amazing presence about him. Very friendly and attentive. Staying here for work with 10 colleagues and have breakfast and lunch for 5 days. Great service and food options.

Visiting the area for 24 hrs stayed at the Premier Inn. Had dinner in the Brewers Fayre. Excellent value as a meal deal booked through the hotel, service was excellent, particularly from our waitress 'Emma'. She never stopped for a second, servicing all the covers in the restaurant, very polite, courteous and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend. Well done Emma +++++

We were here for evening meal and were looked after really well by Emma who had only recently joined. Very friendly and helpful. We were also here for breakfast when Chelsea was managing the staff. She was extremely helpful and very friendly. Both were a credit to Brewers Fayre

Got sat on a dirty table, not ever offered to be cleaned until we asked. Bad service, manager got arsy when we told him that something was added to our order in error. Portion size on the katsu curry was for a child. Fish was brown in colour not golden. And the chicken of the tikka was hard, so hard on fact my partner couldn't stab it with her fork. However the young waiter was very helpful and polite.

Poor from start to finish just don't go the place is falling apart my meal over cooked long waits slap dash I would rather go to hell then there

Booked our sons 07th Birthday Party here in the softplay area months ago, checked a week before that the booking was still ok & confirmed it was. Turned up on the Sunday morning & started to set up ready for the party to be told that they had accidentally double booked. Our options were either to share the party with strangers or all go home which we obviously didn’t want to let the children down & didn’t have enough time to notify everyone as was 15 minutes before it was due to start so we had to share, meaning there were too many kids in the softplay and it was overcrowded. Ruined the morning & atmosphere for us, as the reason for booking was we had exclusive use of the softplay area. One of the staff had admitted to my husband this wasn’t the first time this had happened either & one of my sons friends went home early as he’d hurt himself (too many kids on the softplay) wouldn’t book again. Only consolation was both families were given a refund but didn’t charge the outcome of the day.

Visited early evening for a quick bite to eat and a coffee. Nice friendly welcome at the host stand and quickly shown to a table. Ordered the curry, a sundae and a coffee. Food served quickly and was hot and nicely presented, waitress serving in the restaurant was extremely polite. A couple of team members checked if everything was ok. My sundae wasn’t quite to order but was quickly and politely sorted out for me. Loved the seasonal decorations!

Had a fantastic carvery lunch, all 4 of us cleared our plates very tasty and enjoyable. Deserts were good too. Thank you Kevin for sorting out the volumn of the music. All the staff were brilliant. Thank you. We will request a quiet area when we book again. 😁😁

Lovely meal with lovely Service. Not over priced. Our server Mitchell was very piglet courteous and helpful. He made sure we were happy and nothing was too much trouble for him.

We held our 5 year olds birthday party here, which we paid the deposit for , I called at the beginning of the week to inform them of my final figures, and check what time I could go before the start of the party to put out some decorations. I was told I’d get a call back to confirm that. I didn’t! So I called the morning of the party to check and there was clearly an issue as again I was informed I’d be given a ring back in 5 mins. This time I was, but was informed they had over booked the venue and I’d had to be moved to a different seating area for the food portion of the party which I didnt have a problem with. Until we got there and the space was tight to say the least. We had 27 kids plus there parents including a couple of parents with babies . We had to request a couple of extra tables to put the cake out on, and there were only two small tables to put the buffet food on. After the children had roughly 30 mins in the soft play area we discovered a couple of the children had found a lighter in there which luckily was seen by a parent and handed in. We were given an apology, but not before a bunch of excuses as to how this could have occurred because they were adamant that it’s cleaned and thoroughly checked often. Then we had a situation where another party of people arrived that were expecting to be in the area that we had decorated and unfortunately before talking to a member of staff to find out what was happening tried to somewhat intimidate my mum who was the only person in the area at the time into moving, which obviously wasn’t possible . As I was supervising the children at the time and in the soft play area I only new about this when my husband came in to tell me what was happening then I was told by the manager and that he resolved it by moving them and had to apologise for the situation again. Then it was time for food, which was lovely and all the children enjoyed what they had , however when it was being brought out ,and remember that space was tight, trying to fit it on the two small tables was a shuffle, so one of the servers passed a hot plate to a parent and didn’t t say the plate was hot until the parent commented to the fact when quickly placing it down, and then said yes the plates are gonna be hot!! There was a special effort made to accommodate the birthday boy with his request of sausage and mash and a vegan eater given a cheese sandwich. After food we sang happy birthday and blew out the candle on the cake which they lent to me as I mislaid mine. We handed out the party bags, said our good bye’s to the children and then started on the tidy up. Which was fine. But then it was time to pay and this again caused a problem because it hadn’t been put through the till so there was a bit of a who’s to blame moment, which made me feel a little uncomfortable to witness. But it was finally entered into the till and I was able to pay and leave with a stream of more apologies for the inconveniences. Don’t get me wrong the kids had a blast and were not aware of any issues, but I’d rather things had been much better organised and not overbooked then having to receive multiple apologies. The saving grace to all of this and the reason we booked the party here in the first place was Michelle as she was amazing with the birthday boy who is on the spectrum and has some sensory issues and needs spaces he is familiar with so as to not get overwhelmed. Michelle also made sure I had what I needed and was attentive at all times. Regardless of being pulled in many a direction from what I could tell. So massive thank you Michelle. You kept me from stressing out and made sure the whole party was looked after. You’re a star.

We booked for 10 year old granddaughter's birthday gathering with a few her friends. in the Brewster Bear play area. It seems that there was a double booking, but they solved the problem admirably. Party was a success and the children enjoyed all their food, due in no small part to MICHELLE who was fantastic in looking after us and nothing was too much trouble. Michelle deserves 5 stars all by herself! Well done, The Hampton - recommended!

My daughter and I come every Saturday morning and sometimes we have extra children from sleepovers lol. Chelsea, Sam and the team are always friendly, helpful, polite and efficient we have become to know them well. The food is always hot and there is always plenty of it. The best breakfast in Hampton by far!

the service was very good, making sure that we had booked the car in , to escorting us to our table and informing us how we order. Michelle was very customer focus and a credit to Brewers fare. We will definitely being going back. The food was well presented and well cooked empty plates all round

We went for an early dinner, the food was really nice. The guy behind the bar was really friendly but I didn’t catch his name. Would recommend if you are looking for a quick place to eat.

Sunday carvery is amazing, always so much to chose from veggie wise and a good selection of meat. The normal menu is still an option too which is good. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the service is great.

We have been using the Hampton ever since it opened. We've had family get togethers, business meetings and general visits. For a family restaurant it was very good. As the years have passed it has lost its charm and a lot of its old regular customers. If you go there after 2pm you have it mostly to yourself (except when the kids are on holiday and using the play area). The food we had today was so bad we could not eat it. It was'nt the quality of the food (sirloin steaks etc) but just the abysmal way it was cooked. We could not eat it and decided to leave after getting our money back. Its a shame as the front of house staff are really nice and helpful. Its only these that give the place some redeeming features. Another item as a one off is a chap coming to repair a soft drink dispenser. Though we asked him if it could wait until we had finished our meal he carried on regardless and the smell of the stale water went through the whole section of the place. It has had its problems before but it just goes from bad to worse.

Three of us had carvery , one had mixed grill we had been finished for 45 mins before the mixed grill turned. Up Terrible service lots of other people complained as did we , but when we mentioned it they did nothing . Avoid this place when it’s busy.

I want to say I had an amazing experience at this brewers fayre .as we waited to be shown to our seats .Jess with a great smile shown us to our seats she gladly shows us everything amazing customer service .she truly holds the customer values & is absolutely brilliant.your whole crew is also great

The Sunday carvery was nice and hot with an variety of vegetables , with 3 choices of meat to choose from nothing was too.much trouble for the team would really recommend this place with an fantastic play area to put the children in to play

Great breakfast, great selection for all the family. Everything included in one price. Kids love the pancakes and the juice.

Lovely main meal, the starter sharer plate was very beige and bland. Cheese topped potato dippers were tasteless. The staff were lovely and helpful.

Michelle is the absolute best play area assistant. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She always makes sure that the children are well accommodated. I take my grandsons, Rupert and Jeremy to the play area and have a bite to eat, on a regular basis. Michelle always provides us with friendly and welcoming customer service - for all the children and their families. Michelle truly understands children and their needs. We had on overnight stop at the Oremier Inn next door, so had both dinner and breakfast. Food was excellent, staff were very welcoming and helpful, they couldn't do enough. Big shout out to Kerry and Kevin. We will definitely stay again.

We held my Granddaughter's birthday party here and it was catered for really well. A big shout out for Michele who took care of our group really well - she was a real star. The adults ordered off the menu and I wouldn't say it's the best food I've had in a pub/restaurant but it was ok.

Michele was truly one of a kind couldn’t be anymore helpful with the children and the adults my kids got to run riot in the play area and Michele done her complete best to make sure the children where safe and also went the extra mile for the adults making sure they all had smiles on there faces by being humours kind and sharing experiences Food wise the standard ain’t great but it’s made up with great customer service skills from Michele so if you have kids vist michele I myself run my own bar and would hire her in a heartbeat Greeney and family

We had family staying at the nearby Premier Inn and decided to join them for dinner on the Friday evening at the Hampton. We were a large party of 10. The staff could not have been more accommodating and were very friendly and polite. The food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced and good value for money. Soft play area available for three young children. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening so we all went back on the Saturday morning to have breakfast. Another really enjoyable experience and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend. We’ll definitely be going again!

Went for a spot of lunch - it was so lovely! Staff were excellent and were so helpful and nice to speak to. Price was reasonable and the food was excellent. We will definitely be returning for one of the midweek nights to save cooking!

Me and my family go here regularly, it is great for all meals. We've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner and they've all been lovely. The choices on the menu are very good for adults and also children. The play area is great for bringing children with you aswell. Staff are all lovely and friendly, willing to help with anything you might need. They also put on some great events throughout the year for families with children.

If there as an option for 0 stars then I would rate 0. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!. SERVICE FOOD AND CLEANLINESS IS APPALLING. Microwaved food frozen food defrosted and gone off, beer was flat glasses were dirty staff are rude and treating the bar like a girlie catch up knowing you’re waiting whilst they prance around chatting with no apology. No proper management in kids area kids running riot no proper staffing. After sitting for two hours our mains came dried flat chicken cold chips. Chicken burger with a rotten Avacado which had been frozen and defrosted and mushy to the touch and nachos which had no cheese on them as they cannot heat the cheese as it has sour cream on top. My 8 year old daughter can cook better than that. Food standards are being made aware as it was and actual concern for people’s welfare what they are actually eating!! YUCK non nutritional microwaved food.

Staff were very tentative, asking if we were happy with everything. Waitress Kerry was happy to help my disabled mother get her carvery, couldn’t be more helpful.

Booked today 11.02.23 asked about Carvery menue told yes on so blooded 5pm Arrive at 4.45pm told no carvery as finished at 4pm. What rubbish that's twice mislead by this place. I went with children on Thursday morning to messy play. Activity was great and children enjoyed playing with cooked pasta. Michelle was brilliant and very helpful. We had a great time and we will be coming back again for more fun. Thank you

The atmosphere is very comfortable and even though the bar was busy, we were found a lovely quiet table in the dining room. The menu was reasonably priced typical pub food, well cooked and presented. The service was excellent will definitely be coming again.

Was nice and quiet for our visit! Fully stocked breakfast, refillable coffee, and a warm welcome! The two ladies (Kerry&Chelsea) working were so welcoming, and couldn’t do more to help! Lovely atmosphere and they have a play area for kids (not during breakfast though)
