I really don’t like leaving bad reviews so I’ll start with the positives. This pub is within walking distance for us so we like to support it and have had drinks here often, the outdoor seating area is lovely. We decided to eat here last night (Monday), there were 3 of us. Menu was reasonable, typical pub food at a reasonable price. The waitress brought our sharing platter starter then disappeared, I had to go to the kitchen to get our own plates! The waitress then brought our main courses before actually clearing the empty starter plates, and god forbid if you ask for butter, our Lurpak portions were just slammed on to the table. The meal itself was absolutely fine, it was the service that was extremely disappointing. We weren’t even asked if we wanted desserts or coffee. As an observation, the lady who we assume to be the landlady (she’s been sitting on her backside in the bar area each time we’ve been in) appears to have very limited managerial and customer service skills; we have no issue with children in licensed premises, but there were children playing football in the bar area last night, and if these are the owners children, it’s not a very professional image. All in all, this wonderful big pub needs to pull its socks up, us customers want to support it but we want to be treated like customers and not as an inconvenience.

Stayed at the Travel lodge for 2 night over the Download festival ( June 14th + 15th 2019). We had no choice but to get breakfast at the Harvester.

We was on a 3 day walking stopping off at campsits on the way. This looked the perfect place to stop for food and drinks. Walked in and 4 other customers told me knowbody was here. I waited about 20 minutes shouting behind the bar. Walk around the back of the place to the back door knowbody there ever. I eventually left with 8 others customers empty handed. I've had bad service before now but NO service at all is shocking. We walked all day with intentions of eating here and camping just around the corner. Also noted card only no cash. Its time to WAKE UP. Also based of your own posts. The Covid virus is an agenda to stop from running your own businesses and force you in to a cashless society taking total control of everybody. There is no virus .

There were 5 of us, ordered and paid separately. The server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the soup and asked that my roll should be gluten free, the server replied that it would be bread not a roll and I said that was fine. My soup arrived, with a roll. At first I thought they must have had some after all so didn't query it. I then looked closely at the roll and sniffed it (gluten free has a particular whiff). I took the roll up to the counter and the lady there took it from me saying it was definitely not gf and she then brought some bread which she declared to be 100% gf. I was very upset that such a mistake could have been made and I suggest that some retraining take place urgently. Some allergies are unpleasant and some are deadly, the staff need to be aware.

We rang through to let the cafe know that we were a coach of 26 and only had a one hour stop. The staff were extremely friendly and organised. They had one serving, one doing drinks and one on the till which worked really well. All passengers were fed and watered and off we went.

Afternoon meal in the Billy Peverel before a T20 match at Trent Bridge later that day. The Billy P is one of several thousand Wetherspoons establishments dotted around the UK. If all the lights were turned on in every Wetherspoons in the UK at the same time, when viewed from space, an outline of a sausage and a fried egg would be visible. If you squint, apparently. Still, back to business... It must have been a busy day in the pub by the time we arrived. Most of the plates and glasses were still dotted around the place, waiting for the Wombles to arrive and tidy them away, seemingly. The dreadful carpet was exceptionally tacky in parts and the pub just felt like it needed sterilising. Our food arrived after a medium length wait, a chicken strips meal and a wrap with chips. It was almost hot, but reasonably well cooked. The chips were a tad stodgy but passable. The meal filled a gap and we headed out the door, cricket bound. Nothing to write home about but we've been in FAR worse places.

Would be better if I'd of been said hello to by the staff member!! I paid for my drink by card yet she didn't even acknowledge me with a thank you,she just walked off!.....the pub wasn't even busy!!!......a total disgrace! I remembered her name because someone shouted her.....Reene!! She needs some training regarding "People skills".......otherwise I had a lovely drink!

So slow ……….. needs someone to take charge of the staff and restaurant and sort it out . One person taking orders very very slowly, a queue went round into the restaurant. Waited over 20mins for a cappuccino to be bought to the table. The rest of us had finished our cans of drink by then. I’m pleased we didn’t order food.

First impressions; No table cloth! Drab room! Receptionist was also waitress! Tea was served in horrid white chunky cups. Afternoon tea on a chunky tiered plates...tiny scones on top with pre packed clotted cream...not even in a dish. Sandwiches were filled with what tasted like sandwich fillings and cheap ham. There was no finesse....we thought it was a bit like Fawlty Towers....and expected John Cleese to appear! It was great to be with friends who could all laugh at it! Won't be going back for seconds! It wasn't even well presented... We had a knife and had to use our tea spoons to serve jam!
