Walked your restaurant for something to eat. Went to the toilet, and it was filthy dirty, smelly I couldn't take my trousers down because the floor was soaking wet with urine. If you can't keep the toilets clean then you can't keep work or cooking services clean. And you need a mortgage to buy the food

I had a very disappointing experience at KFC Markham Moor A1 North Service. Despite being able to order via the app, the order failed to communicate with the store, leaving us stuck in a queue for 30 minutes before we had to give up and leave. The store had only one till open, which was completely inadequate for how busy it was. It’s frustrating when the technology fails and there's no backup in place to handle the volume of customers. The wait times were ridiculous, and the whole process felt disorganized. For a fast-food restaurant, this was one of the slowest and most frustrating experiences I’ve had. Definitely not what you expect from KFC.

Awful service, everyone waited half hour. people were angry, no coke/ pepsi only had fresh orange staff were rude especially one girl if I had seen the reviews before hand wouldn't of bothered going the food portions were miniscule and was a total waste of money as we left still hungry it wasn't even busy when we arrived by the time we left people from the drive thru had come in to see where their food was it's clearly lacking leadership and staff with manners

Very poor, I had a filet chicken burger which tasted like it had been in a hot cabinet for hours , frys were cold and a drink that tasted more like water than Pepsi max, it wasn't like they were very busy we were the only ones in there at the time , miserable staff that looked like a good smile would probably kill them , I know this is franchised fast food ,but come on buck your ideas up this was worse than pathetic

Got a fillet box meal with one piece. Only thing fresh and hot were the chips. Fillets burger was cold and the bread was stale and hard and the lettuce was going brown. Gravy was cold. Piece of chicken wasn't cooked properly. Would not recommend, 3rd time trying here hoping to get better, just getting worse, never again.

absolutely disgusting service and experience. Restaurant opens at 10:30am and they refused to open because they "hadn't cooked the chicken yet". Despite the fact we didn't want chicken and wanted a coffee. They left us outside in the cold with our baby. Rang the restaurant and they still wouldn't open

The floor of the restaurant is dirty, but it's nothing compared to the state of the toilets. You can't get table service, and the screen that show which customer order is being processed have been turned off.

Standard KFC fare. Service generally poor and without a smile. Only one touchscreen kiosk working which was slow and frequently crashed, not great when there’s a queue and staff reluctant to assist. Toilet disgusting and hand dryer not working - is there a manager or team leader checking these things? As much as I’m not a fan of McDonalds I’d recommend going there instead (other side of junction) as the Subway next door which was generally good has sadly closed.

They don't let you use the toilet unless you queue and pay for food. So my lb had to pee all over the floor. AVOID

Very very bad... no till, 1 ordering machine with everyone taking 10 minutes on it each time with the food order taking just as long. Online orders not working here. Sanitary bin in the toilets full to the point of coming out at the top and hand dryer broken with no paper towels provided. Go to the next service if your mind and body allow it, or just get something at the shell next door.

Possible the worst KFC I’ve ever been in. It’s pretty empty and I waited at the till for 15 minutes. Then I waited another 15 minutes for my food. Ain’t tasted it yet but fcukkkk me. It’s empty. And the place is messy every table rubbish everywhere. Terrible service.

I was traveling on A1 going to Peterborough to bradford On the way braked at this service area and went inside KFC, stood at the counter for 10 minutes but no one took the order and then went back without a drink.what a great service..thanks to all staff.shif manger.store manger and area coch well done 👏

Appalling. We stopped as we needed coffee. Paid for the coffee, got to the counter to be told there was no coffee and that a refund was not possible. Told that it was impossible to refund from the till and handed a number for 'the care line' where we could get a voucher. After arguing this with the manager who could not or would not see it was wrong, she finally did open the till which also showed she was lying to us. Awful place. Awful service and possibly illegal taking money for what they don't have and refusing to return the money paid.

Didn’t get to eat at this establishment due to it being closed at 8pm the closing times online state 10pm this establishment is on the Northside bound of the A1 with a travel lodge adjacent so any late arrivals to the hotel thinking they will get a hot meal won’t the reason I booked this accommodation was that there was a KFC adjacent so won’t be using this services again

After travelling over 120 miles we stop for a break. I waited over 15 minutes and had to queue again at another point for a hot drink.

One of the best KFCs around, the original recipe chicken is top notch, truly finger lickin good. The fries/chips are also outstanding, the only let down was the zinger burger, not bad just very average. Also a little bit of a wait but by no means an inconvenience.

That same toilet was out of order 2 years ago when I was last here.

arrived at the restaurant planning to use the drive thru, to which was unavailable so we proceeded inside. upon entry there was max 2 people to place orders in the queue before us, it took nearly over 20 minutes for them to be served leading to us a few minutes later. once it was our turn to be served, we was greeted with someone who clearly just did not want to work there, now i could understand this, but that doesn’t account for the terrible customer service we received, throughout our order (two different box meals) we was told along with other customers ahead of us that there would be a wait on food as they was shutting things down due to closing soon and that we could only order for takeaway as they was clearing people out of the restaurant. bearing mind this was just after 8pm and the store states it does not shut until 10pm - i think 2 hours is unacceptable to begin to shut things down and deny customers food and explaining waits. after nearly another 15 minutes of waiting for our food, we received the wrong drinks & we had main items missing from our box meals. overall, miserable customer service and unreliable food service.

Showed up for food at 9:40pm. Establishment due to shut at 10pm. We were refused service as they were “closed”. I pointed out that their sign clearly said open until 10pm. We were told due to unforeseen circumstances that they “had to close” not the first time this has happened, staff clearly trying to get away early.

Arrived at a few minutes past 9pm to find the doors locked and chairs on tables inside. Having just been able to park my large van in the surprisingly full car park myself and my colleague were instructed to walk through the "drive thru" and order via the window. It was drizzling with rain and pretty cold standing there waiting for our food. Luckily as our orders were fairly basic (Zinger Meals) they didn't take very long and we were able to return to our warm but cramped van cab to eat our food.

I popped in to use the toilet first - the place was empty with no staff in view. Posters covered the whole place advertising their app and the offers available. So I returned to my car, downloaded the app and tried to order. It kept failing to place the order. I went to the drive-through and was told that there was a problem with their store on the app. I asked if he would honour the promo in the app that I was attempting to order - he checked with his manager and said that was ok. When I attempted to customize (remove the hot sauce), he said he had to check with his manager again, who had told him that no customisations could be made despite them being possible on the app. The guy serving on the drive-through was very pleasant and apologetic and I couldn't fault him. I left without making an order.

Says it’s open until 10pm. Landed on at 9.45 hoping to get anything at all wasn’t fussy….closed. Both doors locked and sign on window even said open till 10pm. What’s the point of staff are gonna close early????

Very rude staff, clueless management (team leader), filthy, rubbish on the floor, overflowing bins. Disgusting toilets. Amazed to see some good reviews on here as a score of 1 for service is overstating it. It is not just people turning off the A1 that go here and where you can sometimes get away with average service. I am local and for sure will tell all my friends about how awful this place is. Being young, not highly paid and doing it just because it is a job is not an excuse for bad service. I am not sure if these staff have training but if they do it is clearly not working.

Didn't stay there was a queue of foreign students taking forever to place an order, so left and went to the one in Retford.

Arrived at 20:40 and was told it was take away only. Unfortunately I can't have food in my car and I was hoping to eat something on my journey. Total waste of time.

Clean & tidy. There was a bit of a wait on my food. However, this was due to it being cooked fresh as when I received it, it was piping hot. In fact, it's probably one of the nicest KFCs I've had in years.

Disgusting- no clean tables and even though busy, no staff cleaned any tables to accommodate more customers. Long queue for the only 2 toilets and closed 1 leaving a longer queue through the building.

Food was good as always. Inside was clean as just open. Now to the reason for 3 stars: it is services next to motorway and opens at 10.30! Had to wait half an hour to be served. That is less than bad. Seen multiple people turning away while I was waiting in a car. App rewards not working as I paid through it on my way, but the very moment I've entered it was cancelled. It doesn't work at the till as well! The only reason I managed to not rage quit was that it worked through the kiosk. Staff seemed to be confused about it all, but young lad was trying his best to help. All those problems must be caused by either poor management at the restaurant or at KFC not having a great communication with the franchises as I had similar problems in more locations. Biggest issue I have is a DUMB DECISION TO FORCE ME TO DRINK RUBBISH WITH SWEETENERS!!! Why can MC have regular coke and KFC withdrew regular Pepsi??? That is like a slap in the face from those ignorant decision makers. Honestly they are some woke social warrior type morons. Chicken was on the verge of being undercooked but barely passed. Otherwise that would be 1 star.

Food like KFC food, but the place... WOW! After driving for a few hours, stopped with family for some food, the place is DISGUSTING! There was one couple ordering food while we ordered from the screen, place seemed to be empty. I have seen 4 members of KFC there and all tables empty, but really dirty with some food left overs everywhere. I have asked staff to clean the table for us, but they didn't seem to be happy about that and wiped only one table and left rest dirty 😱🤮 while eating, my wife noticed that there is a puddle of drink under table 🙄 service and facilities are really shocking!!!

Wanted to buy a coffee..was 2nd in the queue. Staff member walked into back office after dealing with person in front..didn't return.. so left after waiting 5 minutes. Spent my money elsewhere...Happy Christmas 🤗

Second visit yet same abysmal service.. unorganised chaos, dirty tables, even dirty toilets- machine out of order to take orders.. staff could not cope with the four people waiting to be served so just ignored me until they got on top of the orders.. On a plus note - good hot and tasty

It's a KFC so no surprises. The food was actually quite good when we got it. The poor lad behind the counter was swamped by the volume of customers. It was Saturday lunchtime and it was just him. I'm guessing someone didn't show up for work?

Nicely hidden away in the Shell Garage, plenty of parking and never gets very busy...perfect.

There's always a queue for the toilets at this place. They have a single unisex loo for everyone, which for a services is really, really poor. There's a disabled loo, but when I asked to use it (I have MS which isn't always a visable disability) the staff was very dismissive and declared that if I didn't have a "disabled key" I am not allowed to use it. No customer service or ability to think outside the limits of their training.

Very poor hot chocolate, it was made out of 2 different cups, and not drinkable, poured it away.

Service was a little slow ( due to a lack of staff or so it looked ) but the food was piping hot and delicious when it arrived. Staff we're very friendly and polite. Would absolutely call again next time we're passing 👍🏼

Bit of a grim place to stop. If you have a dog you have to sit on the ground as there is no outdoor seating at all.

There was a female manager today (1pm). As I was heading out after picking up my order I couldn’t help but over here the disgusting comments that she was making to another staff about the other workers. I felt like it was a very toxic environment and couldn’t wait to get out that place! I will not be going back there while she is still there.

Food is always good. Service not so good, waited 20 mins(only 4 ppl in the queue) got to the til and they ran out of chicken! It's the only thing they sell! How can they always run out? Ask to speak to the manager who tbh couldn't have cared a flying fig. She said something about dropping it? After trying to get her to explain apparently means they had to cook more. She explained they're not allowed to cook it until it's ordered. A busy Friday afternoon surely they must know 90% of customers want chicken! She also said they're short staffed. (So that's why the drive through wasn't open!) I know they are probably on minimum wage, but they could put a little more effort in. My advice would be in future if the drive through isn't open you should probably avoid and save yourself a load of agg.

Only one of the staff working on the front counter. Coped ok, but had there been a surge, don't think it would have coped. It's a KFC in a motorway services. Food was good, service was meh and there was no atmosphere. The toilets were ok. A bit smelly and the floor was wet, probably not from cleaning, based on the smell.

The absolute worst KFC I have ever been in. Service was very slow and staffed by the village idiots. Toilets are dirty. A staff member repeatedly touch the inside of my coffee cup lid while waiting for the coffee to be dispensed. This franchise should be taken away from the owner. And the food was poor.

Bad!! Bin overflowing, virtually every table had trays of kfc wrappers, cartons and drinks left on them, with receipts and napkins scattered all over the floor, the dining area was a mess. Would have gone elsewhere but nothing else at these services for hot food. Gravy was decent though, the only highlight of a depressing visit. Will take sandwiches for my next trip. Wouldn’t like to think what the kitchen is like if the dining area is such a mess.

I only pop into use the toilet because I am disabled and I showed a nice young lady my cancer disability card.(because of my cancer I need the toilet a lot more). She was so very helpful and kind she couldn't do enough for me and asked if I needed any help with the toilet doors etc. It was so nice of such a young person to be so kind.( She must of only been around 18 to early 20 years old). The disabled toilet was very clean. A big thank you.

Very welcoming, visited this one last year and was terrible, the women serving was horrid and wouldn't let anyone use the toilet until they had ordered, she was more Interested in keeping people away from the toilets than serving not good 😒 today totally different, lovely staff, toilets open to use 😀 food excellent all freshly cooked well presented and tasty will definitely call again now

Disgusting toilets with dirty toilet tissue on the floor and the other bathroom wasn't in use. Service took ages to even be served and they weren't busy. Food left us feeling disappointed. Dirty tables.
