Visited the pub for a meal.and to do the quiz. Great fun! Food was excellent as also was Daria service. 5*****

Breakfast here is fantastic, very good value and Zac is so helpful. 3 good reasons why we keep coming back.

We went to the soft play, it was my second time in a week because Jessica was so welcoming, friendly, understanding about children and couldn’t do enough to get us comfortable and perfect for the cold days when you need to get out! The Mokka is delicious and we tried the brownie and flapjack, so yummy and homemade. Perfect! It’s lovely and warm, which I often find soft play centres are cold. Signed up for a pass as I know I’ll be back! Thanks

Another play pass in wacky well used the last two weeks. Also stayed and enjoyed food in the main area. Lovely food and amazing staff as always. Sherry, Nat and the team make the pub amazing always make us feel welcome and at home. Thanks for a wonderful summer!

The romans rest is such a lovely place, the atmosphere is always good the staff are so polite and happy to help. The food is amazing as well and it’s really reasonably priced also the drinks selection is second to none! I would recommend a visit to anyone oh and it’s very family friendly too!!

Our family visit the romans rest frequently, the staff are always friendly and the food is tasty and cheap. The kids love the wacky too.

Service was brilliant, food let it down . Had the gamon which was served on a skillet, and the chips and peas on a half round plate next to the skillet . Presentation was bit naff and the gammon was laid on top of a sloppy layer of greasy supposably fried onions. To be fair the server did ask if everything was OK. I would of liked the chance to mention it quietly to him, but my husband jumped in and said yes.

We are regularly visiting Romans Rest we love the atmosphere and the staff who are very friendly and welcoming, and they love you to your dogs making them feel welcome. The food is really good too, they are a Flaming Grill restaurant so they have a varied menu that covers most tastes and allergies all you have to do is ask. We popped in for the first time just over a year ago and we now make the Romans Rest our local!

Sherry and Luke looked after us all they are so happy smiley and efficient we wanted for nothing - lovely breakfast - my daughter loved the pancakes - our local so will be back.

We were struggling to find somewhere that would cater for a family event. Romans rest provided us with the perfect buffet. The food was lovely and no complaints from forty guests Presentation was lovely and plenty of food and dips… The staff went above and beyond … I would recommend.

We came here for a quick pup lunch after our dog walk. I can honestly say the service from Zac was exceptional. We always come here for a bite to eat for an evening meal, and have never been disappointed, the food is delicious, and always come out red hot. It’s brilliant for the money as well as you get generous portions. The staff are very friendly, chatty and helpful. Will definitely come back! Wanting to try the breakfast next!

Had the full English breakfast for the first time. I’ve heard it’s good food,I’ve even seen it when others have had it and it looked good. Today must have been an off day. Firstly the whole thing was barely warm, in fact the warmest thing was the butter for the toast lol which was burned on one slice and not even had a crunch to the other, maybe the same slice was toasted twice lol the fried tomato wasn’t fried at all. The bacon was very salty and had a burned taste to it and the mushrooms were salty. Plenty of sauce to mask the burned taste lol The sausage was nice and the hash brown were as well :) probably won’t have it again. The pub was nice and clean though and staff were polite. I’m thinking today was just an off day unfortunately

We have been to a lot of Green King Flaming grill pubs by far this has to be the best! The entire building is wheelchair accessible and child friendly along with the indoor play area where the kids and shmoos off before and after dinner. We were served by Sherry who was absolutely brilliant and took note of everything we asked for on our order to the T. Food was served in a reasonable time and was absolutely fantastic! Food prices are very reasonable for what you get! The skillets are brilliant! Fantastic staff along with a really great atmosphere makes this the ideal place to sneak off to with or without the kids! Will definitely be coming here again! Many thanks guys!

21 of us went for coffee and drinks for a reunion today,it was fab,staff were all very helpful,esp Zac very efficient and amusing.Will definitely be going again,if they let us back in.🤣

It's a greene king pub. Food is OK, staff today were mediocre. It was a large surprise to the waitress that I wanted milk with my coffee.

No staff, waited 45 minutes to 1 hour just to get served.

The very noticeable reduction in the actual food on your plate has the result of visually poor plate presentation, the negative family conversations over this weekly family ‘meal’ has brought the cost effectiveness of this (your) decision, back to your door. with the weekly family visit exceeding £90 on food alone wasting the good will of your local captive patrons will result in a reduction in the number of plates of food sold - I like the place, my children/grandchildren like the place but we will now be eating somewhere else.

Food was below average and greasy Went as a family with some friends because they have a play area. The board says the play area is open until 7, we finished our meals at 6.20, and the rest was for the children to play. To get inside the play area to be turned away as they have 'cleaned down'. There were children already in there playing. Just seemed like they were being awkward, and as you can imagine we had 2 upset boys. Price wasn't so bad but that was with discount, but food wasn't anything special Service rubbish and tables were filthy

A disappointing end to what would have been a great outing. Specifically chose to visited this pub today with our 2 kids for the wacky warehouse. Due to the children needing full supervision at all times we decided to let them play in the play area AFTER their meal. At 6:15pm we entered the play area and was turned away and told last entry was 6pm (despite the play area having no kids currently playing on it and only 1 family sat down eating) I asked why this is because it is advertised that the play area is open until 7pm. I said I’m still happy to pay the full amount even though I’m not receiving the full play time. I was then told we weren’t allowed because the soft play has already been cleaned down. Why is this? If you advertise the play area to be open until 7pm then why did you clean down nearly a full hour earlier ?? If this is the case then the play area times should be changed! I spoke with the floor manager after and explained the situation and he said he would speak with the lady in charge of the soft play at that time. He came back a few minutes later and agreed with the lady by saying she’s cleaned it down now so no more children are allowed on. Again, it is 45 minutes before the scheduled close time for this play area! This is not a great start considering it is my first time visiting this pub. The food was great, but due to the poor handling of the play situation I can’t imagine I will return here again. What a disappointing end to our lovely meal out.

Today i had a really good experience at romans with evie the member of staff on the bar she was very kind and friendly and personally just a lovely person to talk with while i had my drinks and food. The food there was really nice and filled me up quite well overall just a lovely experience here with the last couple of times i’ve been there.

I love Romans it’s my local and always fab for a pint or a bite to eat, or letting little one run riot in the wacky! Staff cannot do enough for you! Keep up the fab work, but can you please ask the powers that be to refurb the toilets!

They think everyone is a thug so take glass glasses of them to give plastic ones after 10pm. Had to wait for table that was pre booked.

Only go in the kids' play zone but they love it

Staff were great but room was cold. No heating on and smokers kept opening door to go outside. Food took 45 mins but we were made aware of the wait beforehand. The burgers were average, served on plate with a side of chips. No frills but what you expect for “pub grub”. Sorry but probably won’t go again.

We went to the Roman Rest for a meal last night having not been for a couple of months. The service we received was first class, the food excellent and at a really reasonable price. The place is under new management and the new GM introduced himself to us, he came across as someone who cares about his customers. A great night out and we will see e going back

I was served by multiple staff, Sophie, Zac, and Nat on this occasion, I ordered chips with nacho toppings (sour cream, salsa, cheese and cheese sauce) and a medium steak for my doggo. The food came quickly and they staff on the bar was incredibly welcoming to me and my dog. Thank you for such a kind, warm welcoming experience. A glass or two of Shiraz to top the evening off.

Went for tea was quiet as just after new year and Xmas was relaxing and calm staff were very welcoming and chatty ordered 2 burgers which were cooked perfectly not overcooked didn’t have to wait long service was good

Went here today for my fur babies birthday and my son's birthday. Me and my son had mix chicken platter and my fur baby had sausage and chicken breast . The food was lovely and the staff were friendly. I've only given 3 stars for atmosphere but it was lunchtime and was better for us not being busy . I would definitely return

A very enjoyable visit , the food and drink reasonable price. Good quality food, well presented and tasty too. Staff are very friendly, good service and compliments to the kitchen staff too. I have coeliac, the gluten free menu is small in choice, however I still managed to choose , Ribeye steak , medium rare, cooked to perfection.

Been to romans rest loads of times the barman zac has always looked after us so chatting and welcoming can’t do enough for us and the doggo will definitely be returning

Would be better if the opening times were updated, it says 11am opening, but in fact it is 9am.

I come in here all the time with my dad and the service is always 10/10, very friendly staff and good food. It's nice to come in for a drink or a full meal, would highly recommend if you're looking for a place to sit and enjoy yourself in worksop.

Ordered hunters chicken skillet. It was served without onions as had run out and on a cold plate and not a skillet.Tomato nearly cold as were the chips. Sorry but food should be served hot and plates should be warmed up. Also if things are missing off the plate you should be told when you order. It is a shame because the food if it had been hot would have been ok.

I had dinner with my family today and it was the first and last time. The staff has no control over anything. We ordered steaks, got a cold dinner and frozen potatoes. We changed the table to the wacky play area where there was no service, garbage everywhere and spilled juices. I do not recommend!!! terrible place...

Great if you fancy waiting an hour and a half for your food

We had a big table but I did take the food order in the day before so they could have it ready on but we was still waiting over a hour before meal come out and the last person got there meal 40mins after the first person, I do understand you was short staffed and it was busy but if you had phoned and told us there was staffing problems we could of come a bit later to help not just sit down a deal with it.
