As a group of 3 friends, we had been looking forward to our afternoon tea all week. After a short browse around the garden centre we were dismayed when all the electrics went out. We still made our way to the cafe, only to be told that unfortunately, we couldn’t be served. The lovely manager sent us away with a free cake of choice to lessen our disappointment. Luckily, as we got to the exit, the electric decided to come back on, and how glad we were! The afternoon tea was an absolute delight! The coronation chicken was divine, the scones filling and heavenly and the brownie was to die for! Many afternoon teas are just ok, but this one is not to be missed! What looked like was going to be a disastrous afternoon turned out to be a fabulous one! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful visit with the cafe to end our group walk. The selection and service was second to none. The presentation and also the clarity of the menus made the selection easy and then this was enhanced with the presentation of the food and drink as it was served. I sincerely recommend this venue from the basic cup of tea through to a full meal. Personally today I had the cream tea of fruit scone and iced coffee and I do not think I could have had better. I visited Dukeries garden Centre this afternoon. I enjoy the great selection of goods. At the checkout however was not a nice experience. As I approach the till I was met with indifference by the two young girls. They finished talking and served me disinterested. No hello, no eye contact,no thank you. Sadly this is not my first experience of very poor customer care here. I didn't coment ,I just walked away feeling angry. They need some customer training desperately.

Went this morning for food in the restaurant. Had fish and chips and tuna jacket potato. Batter on the fish was hard and seemed war.ed up which was a shame for the price of it. Jacket potato not quite fully cooked, hard bits in it, but I was too hungry to return it. So let down in restaurant even tho it cost over £27 with the tea and coffee unfortunately. Garden centre was good, large and almost like visiting a botanical gardens. Didn't seem too over priced for a garden centre. We ate in the restaurant the food was fine but there were more people than tables (we shared with some lovely strangers). They were displaying the wrong specials menu but didn't seem to do anything about it even when people kept trying to order from it. Chap at the till coughed into his hand a few times and wiped his nose a few times with his hand (I was standing in the queue a long time) and didn't go and wash his hands, which was a little concerning as he was serving tea and milk as well as operating the till. But overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Wouldn't even sell me one more tiny piece of butter. I should've put the scone back. Sour face service

Joined the very long queue with hope that it was just the onset of a busy period but 20 minutes later was still in the queue waiting to pay a lady who’s job it was just to stand there and wait for people to pay whilst one young girl was rushed off her feet trying to cope with all the drinks she had to make! She did not stop whilst the woman on the till twiddled her thumbs just waiting to take the payments! Also while there several of noticed other ladies coming out and putting the odd cup out and rearranging the cutlery and wiping down the odd work surface behind the counter whilst this poor young lady was rushed off her feet and clearly could not keep up with the now even longer queue! No sign of any management as people were getting quite disgruntled by the time it was taking! Won’t be bothering again will have my brunch at the other restaurant on site outside! From someone who has worked in catering this place needs a good shake up and the system needs to be changed to more hands on pumps and multi tasking to get people through quickly! 20/30 minutes is not acceptable to be queuing for food and drink! Perhaps get people seated and work on a service basis because a lot of other people were complaining that people were reserving tables while others queued! Not a good experience at all! 😡😢

Very frustrating. I queued for half an hour to wait for 2 coffee's and a scone, it was only because my muns Diabetic and needed a drink that I waited. The lady doing drinks was rushed off her feet while the young man on the til was just stood there, waiting to take the money! Could he not help with drinks at busy times when there's a queue 🤔 there were also 3 that I noticed, staff just hanging around the coffee machine chatting, during the 30 minutes I was standing there. I had to ask for plates for the cakes and then I had to ask for sugar! Very badly organised, next time we'll go the the other café on sight. Wouldn't recommend

Stopped here at 3pm. First restaurant we had to wait for a table. Told where to sit and then told but we have no food. Very abrupt, so we got up and went to restaurant inside. We asked about food, they looked at the clock and said not much after 3. With stony faces they passed us a small menu of what they had. We both chose two sandwich with chips and a cold drink. Cost almost £25. My Asian friend then paid, only to have the receipt thrown at him as if he had a disease. Went outside to sit and waited for our food. When it arrived, it was simply awful and basic, very poor indeed. The told to go inside if we wanted cutlery, sauce etc. What they did not know is that we run a chain of restaurants so we know our stuff. Customer service at this garden centre is non existent and they all need training or replacing. Need to say we will never be back. We do not like leaving bad reviews, but in this instance, this place is so very very bad.

We called in at the Notcutts Garden Centre and Farm Shop at Worksop yesterday. The garden centre has a lot of healthy plants, gifts, bird feeders, food, clothes, smelly candles etc and now Christmas decorations. We started the day with a farmers breakfast in the restaurant which was lovely but a little expensive, the restaurant wasn't very warm nor was inside the garden centre, many customers were complaining how chilly it felt especially as it was such a cold day outside. It's quite expensive compared to other garden centres so we didn't buy much but enjoyed looking around. We then went across to the farm shop which had a good choice of meat, savouries, fresh vegetables, salad and chutneys, there is also a coffee shop and a gift shop close to the farm shop. First visit here, we were a party of five. Food was very good, drinks overpriced- lovely atmosphere. Service was poor, one main delivered wrong and a dessert arrived so late - everyone else had finished despite chasing it up several times.

Masterclass. You do get what you pay for. Beef dripping for the fish is how it should be!

The room was clean spacious and warm. The bins unfortunately hasn't been emptied since the last guests, there was also an issue with one of the bath plugs missing the rubber seal. The lass behind the bar was very helpful and brought food to the room and was very understanding
