What a lovely little gem. The room was amazing food great service very good. Would definitely would return.

Reading some of the poor reviews, some people need to get a life, or happy chips implanted..! Great location, excellent.

Enjoyed our coffee. But the shop looks like it cold do with a Deep Clean. Every where looks dirty/ dusty & floors awful. No spoons, girl didn't know where they had disappeared to. Shame on shop for me to take visiting friends to.

It was very busy. Atmosphere was great. Bar staff was on the ball particularly Simon and another young girl (blonde), sorry don't know your name, but didn't wait for a pint, everyone was happy and chilled. Didn't have any food but we will do. We'll worth a visit

Quirky place... something a little different...such a shame they only take card payments... otherwise, we would have stayed longer

I have been going to Ambika for years and found the owner quite friendly but since covid he's changed for the worse😠. I went to buy ladus and was told they were £14.99 a kilo! When I asked if they were fresh he got very defensive. I left empty handed and am not going back. Also they don't seem to be willing to help if asked about ingredients and put a lot of sugar in the foods. So haven't adapted for changes. A shame

Brilliant place. Its nice to go somewhere the staff have got there own personality. And all home made food .we definitely going back

Solíamos frecuentar LA RED LION a menudo, pero desde el cambio de propietario no es el mismo. La calidad de la cena ha bajado y la cálida bienvenida que acostumbrado a recibir de la anterior dueña ha dejado con ella. Es una pena, ya que este puede ser un fantástico pub/restaurante ya consolidado bajo el antiguo régimen.

Visited twice on sunny Saturday. First visit very busy, several stag and hen do's, very noisy inside and both outdoor areas rammed. However, managed to get served reasonably quickly and 2 large glasses of wine good value. Returned 2 hours later, after checking into hotel. Quieter although still busy, and got a booth at the back of the pub. Ordered 2 chicken jalfrezi curries. Arrived in 15 minutes, good portions, fluffy basmatti rice, naan bread and 2 poppadoms. Arrived hot and very tasty. Excellent value and good service. Tommy's Margaritas to finish, premixed but great value.

Great palace to eat can be busy

Myself and three other members went to celebrate two birthdays, the wait for the food was 60 to 90 mins, not enough staff, when meals arrived my brother in laws mega mixed grill was over cooked, tomato was raw not grilled, my wife's hunter's chicken was so dry because it was over cooked so she left it, my sister in law only managed to eat half of her meal and I ordered a hot spicy burger which didn't have any heat in it as i think they didn't put any hot maple sauce in it but I was that hungry that I ate it. All of us said that we won't go back until things have been sorted. The toilets and entrance to were disgusting as toilet paper was leading from pub to toilets

I have been going to the last post since it first opened but I feel that it is going downhill. The last few times we have been for a meal we have had to clear and wipe the sticky tables ourselves which is not good. It is difficult to get served unless you are a regular. However the staff are quite pleasant but I will think twice about going again with my family.
