Never before in my long history of visiting a Weatherspoon's pub have i been told that ordering 20 shots is too much and i would have to wait an hour before i could order again, bearing in mind there were four of us, 20 shots is not a lot. So much so they even had the audacity to refund a round because it was too soon after order the 20 shots. The staff are rude, stuck up and damn right arrogant, to say that is a pub is an understatement! I would personally avoid this place if you want to sit down, in a corner, being quite and enjoying time with your mates, if you want to only have one drink and be on your way, this is the place for you. Went to the Lumley across the road, who served us what we wanted at the same price.... Sorted!

brilliant place although one staff member not sure of their name, ginger beard bald head, served us and we are 18, although he asked us for ID he did so in a very rude way telling my friend he was incriminating himself by coming to the bar with us, almost like he wanted him to be underage so he could a prove a point, my friend then showed him his id which was valid and of age, this annoyed because i’m not sure if the person was power mad but it felt like he thought he was above us and said the comment for no reason whatsoever as my friend simply walked up to the bar, normally would’ve made me very anrgy but let it go because some jobs worths aren’t worth it, ID is needed in a pub but ask in a nice way !!!

Lovely atmosphere here a good night, however unsure of their name but one members of staff was very arrogant and seemed to write off my friend before even giving the chance to ID them, we are all of age so this seemed very rude, this really made us all feel uncomfortable and almost unwanted, and left a rather large stain on what would have been a decent night. I wish this wasn’t the case however I will find it hard to return to this location due to the nature of the service. Is it so hard to politely ask for ID? Ridiculous.

Called in for a drink with my husband, one person getting served so we assumed we would be next. A group of young men came in and promptly got served. I suggested to my husband that he clearly had his invisibility cloak on. Then another barman approached my husband to inform him that someone had told them that he had been asleep all afternoon in the pub. WOW. You're staff clearly need retraining. There observation and customer service skills are clearly none existent.Obviously we left.

Came here on Sunday the 20th October, we have been here many times without a problem however on this visit the barman took it into his head to create one. My son is 34 and has been coming in this pub for years and being served alcohol without a problem, however on this occasion the barman took it into his head to demand ID which my 34 year old son did not have with him at the time, it is worth noting that my son has not had to provide ID in any pub including wetherspoons to buy alcohol for well over 10 years so we took it as the barman having a bad night and wanting to pick on someone to show what a big man he is and decided we were it. While here we had two sirloin steak meals and my wife had fish, the meals we had were excellent and my sirloin steak in particular was up there with the very best, we would normally have stayed longer but having eaten our meals we left to find a more welcoming pub to spend a family evening at.

Absolutely appalling rude and aggressive attitude from the ' lady: manager of this hospitality outlet today when it was pointed out that she had overcharged on a drink order. This I know is not the usual representation of Wetherspoons values generally and this person's attitude is a significant detrimental impression to a chain of pubs who's focus is usually so concentrated on customer relations. This venue is a tourist/ seaside resort and the manager here portrayed a very negative impression, according to other review on here not for the first time trying to overcharge. I understand that Wetherspoons operate CCTV coverage in their outlets and I will be contacting them to suggest they analyse the appropriate footage.

Can't comment on the food, as didn't have any, so will give it 5 stars. The service wasn't great though, as many of the empty tables were unclean and full of the previous customers' drinks... the atmosphere wasn't great in the back room, with super, super loud people. All this with the caveat that it was around 4pm on a Saturday, so maybe a bit harsh of me to judge on the service and atmosphere at this time, but just being honest. Do you queue or not queue? That is the question. Staff say that we do not ask people to form a line. The managers should make the rule and not the sheep who form lines. Shame Sh e different day. A tap room of foul-mouthed locals, families buying food. A dissabled loo for everyone. Worst ever, Spoons. Sorry, Tim. New broom needed NOW. The new brush arrived alas the same staff. Again, most turn up fot shift looking like they have been out on a BENDER. So, poor service apart from a chap in his older status. No concentration. Stuck in bad routines, tables never cleared, no initiative, no supervision, and more life in a cremation palour. TO rigid in each other's roles, OTHERWISE, that's not my JOB. Very disappointing TEAM. Tucked away between the large venue's across from happy days club but if you do spot it well worth a visit, next door to a chippy. Run by working class folk with a friendly attitude and friendly prices. Our favourite is the Sunday carvery with generous portions and to top it all comes with a pudding included in the price. A good extensive menu at affordable prices for families and couples. Large table's, good seating but what make ginghams our favourite is the helpful friendly staff and atmosphere. We pre booked a table on the 9th of December for a big table of people. All the food was late or poorly cooked 3 of us waited over half hour while other people was trying to attempt to eat there's Then the staff said they're gonna re cook it well if you can't get it right first time don't bother. We sat there for an hour and half in an empty pub it shouldn't of took that long When we pre ordered food 15 days in advance. I've tried to show the owner the quality of the food we did get and she just threatened us with the police as we said we are not paying for poor food and food we didn't even get! The owner even said she has only got one chef and one person prepping food.
