Awfull food not as described on menu certainy not fresh and portion not as described would not reccomend unless you like pachaged processed food

We waited over an hour for the food to come, ordered a apple juice and it didn't come until after the food, found a hair in the food, dead squashed fly on the wall next to where we were eating, the wait was an absolute effing joke. There was men staring at us while we ate and the hand dryers are too high up so water dribbles down your arms and they don't even dry. TERRIBLE service, rude, and honestly horrible experience, do NOT come here.

We came here due to the usual place we go being shut. Steak and scampi meal ordered and cheeseburgers. Unfortunately this meal which cost in total almost 60 pounds fell incredibly short. The steak was not rump as advertised but more like a thick beef slice and there was only half the amount of scampi then advertised. The burgers were tasteless and none of us could stomach them, chips were greasy. At no point did anyone check how our meal was and we all left with a foul taste in our mouths. We wouldn't return.

Came for a carvery , my daughter asked for a glass of water and was refused. (we were shocked this has never happened before) The food was ok although only got 2 slices of meat on a standard size. The service was bad, we were sat outside, the waitress brought out our puddings with no spoons, I asked and she told me I had to go and get them myself, instead of offering to bring them.

Great choice of breakfast. I had the healthy breakfast scramble eggs where perfect. The normal breakfast looked nice.Great value for money Would recommend to poeple

Average food at above average price

Food and drinks were great, was really happy with the breakfast. Service was awful though and despite being paying customers we were rudely refused tap water. There are plenty of cafes in the area for grabbing a nice breakfast and I wouldn’t bother in future.

We always come here when we visit its probably the best Chipshop in Chapel St leonards, food is always nice and peefectly Cooked, the portion sizes are spot on and is value for money, there is seating inside and outside. Ray and Tracey are lovely People who serves you.

Great food and service.went in for breakfast and it was lovely.The two ladies were very nice and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help,will be going back again.

Popped in for a Sunday dinner and wasn't disappointed, roast pork and turkey with all the trimmings, absolutely delicious! 😋

Very very tasty moreish food, You can eat in or even take away a Sunday lunch or a fry up to your caravan! Lovely staff who will do anything to help. Would highly recommend 👌

Must say for the price the food was good lovely toast & cuppa. Not greasy, everything was nice great proce we had 3 x £4.99 breakfast and would definitely go back here. We sat outside with a dog let us put tables out.

My fish was really dried out and not very nice and it was expensive

Not the fastest restaurant the carvery was dry the dessert was unedible staff just stood round talking with raised voices Plates being scraped in front of carvery not what you want to see whilst eating Lesson learnt wont be visiting again

Was absolutely freezing inside, had to sit with coats on, food was OK but soon went cold, felt as though we were being watched even though there was on our family eating in.

Reasonable breakfast but the door does not close properly which made it draughty and I thought the radio was too loud .overall not bad

Went for Sunday carvery, all food were amazing but I've never tasted cauliflower cheese as amazing as this one. Well priced.

A cafe thats been running every year rain or shine. Been almost every day given the opportunity. Everyone loves a good Sunday roast. But with Ginghams ms m's has a carvery every Sunday and Tuesday from 12 til 4 and its worth the wait. But nonetheless the food is brilliant. I would gladly give 10 stars if given the ability.

I am a regular visitor to this area and have eaten in this restaurant for many years, Gingham appears to have changed hands and has had a needed makeover, service was a little slow and there seemed to be a few issues with customer orders, this aside the food was well presented and value for money, no doubt I will be visiting this restaurant again as its always been a favourite.

6 of us went to this lovely little cafe this week, wasn't disappointed very pleasant staff and lovely food, well worth a visit. 👍

Avoid this place we should of realised when it was empty . The smell is awful , the only way I can describe it is like a really dirty house . It was early and we had breakfast the servers clothes were filthy and it had only just opened. My son refused to eat anything and we really wish we had aswell. It was like a bush tucker trial only we paid £20 to do it . Avoid at all costs.

Only gave it one star because I couldn't give 0! Absolutely disgusting food and the rudest staff! Dirty and smelly, I'll be surprised if this place lasts even a year under these owners.

Well if I could I would give this place no stars the staff are rude and dirty, The food was cooked possibly last week and kept in the fridge to reheat, cheapest ingredients I have seen for a long time and the prices you pay are for top quality food which believe me this is not the case avoid at all cost

Food was great, staff were really friendly. We had breakfast and meals most days and always had excellent food and great portions. This is the new owners first year and we will definitely be returning next year.

The food was slow arriving and ordered toast and got buttered fried bread.

Been today worst meal ever I ordered cottage pie husband liver and onions cottage pie served with Yorkshire puddings and stuffing cottage pie consisted of a bowl full of mash and some gravy in the bottom....husbands liver also served with stuffing liver looked like the mince missing from my cottage pie to round it up meal was disgusting will not recommend or visit again . Trading standards and trade descriptions would have a field day

Food was passable but cleanliness was rubbish and service was poor. And don't get me started on the coffee!!

Ok I guess. The food was average, didn't get the toast with the breakfast or sauce with the pancakes. The place looks clean but feels dirty.

Been in in the past place nearly empty (3 tables in use) took 45 minutes to serve 2 mixed grills cooked wrong and stone cold by the time it got to the table

Has been changed around again and now has a very American look and feel. It isnt the ginghams that I used to know and enjoy anymore.

I asked for the pasta bolognese it was meant to come with garlic bread and a side salad when it arrived I got pasta bake and chips I was not happy about this and receive £2 back I also would like to say that the Bolognese was nothing like a homemade one and was not worth the money I paid hence I won't be going back again

Dined here with my husband and 3 children yesterday lunchtime. Poor service/organisation. Shortly after we placed our orders a large group of people arrived (around 14 of them). They placed their orders a while after us but got their food first, all of them. Ours arrived 15 minutes after the other table's last meal arrived. Not only that, my husbands and childrens meals were served a whole 20 minutes before my meal so they'd eaten up before mine was on the table, which I wouldn't have minded, but I was the only one of us who ordered fish and chips (which i assume comes from the takeaway side of the restaurant next door?)

I was warned not to eat here by family, but I ordered chips thinking "what's the worst that could happen from ordering chips", got back to the caravan to find the chips were overcooked and hard. Lesson learned the hard way. Don't eat here.

What can I say fabulous little restaurant/bar. Have had various meals from brekkie lunch to Sunday carvery. Excellent standards at all time. Very reasonable on price Owners and staff are super friendly.

My Husband, my two Sons and myself went in for our breakfast and the lady greeted us warmly and was very friendly with a fantastic sense of humour !!

Came to ginghams just as they opened this year (2019) we own a caravan so in the area Alot it's not changed waitress didnt know the menu i asked for glass of wine and Got cava ish ??? Slow service def not value for money

Amazing place, amazing food and amazing staff. Can't rate this place enough. They have specials on, fish and chips, burgers, beer, larger, cider plus much more. We have had the carvey and the fish and chips and all meals were lush.
