Lovely pub, just crazy expensive drinks its the only thing that lets it down , double what i normaly pay for a pint

A great traditional pub meal. As part of a large group of adults and children we visited for an evening meal. It was quite busy inside, so clearly is popular. The choice of meals is good, and the food itself is fantastic, with dinner very generous portion sizes. Service was a little slow and a couple of kids meals came out way after everyone else's (it did seem that they had been forgotten), but fortunately they were very tasty and the kids thoroughly enjoyed them. A great location, she's I imagine it's fantastic when the weather is good due to the outside pod s/seating. Highly recommend, particularly if staying at Butlins or one of the other nearby sites.

Just had thr BBQ burger here, not bad at all for the price. Quite a large plate and very tasty. The pub is well looked after although decor is aged but that isn't a bad thing to be honest. Had cheesecake for desert and it was also pretty decent for the price.

This pub used to be a family favourite. What has happened. The food took over an hr, didn’t seem that busy. Very over priced for the food served. The staff were disinterested, unwelcoming and seemed to be making it up as they went along. We will not be returning. Best thing about the experience was the children's play are.

Beautiful food that was presented really nice. The food was very tasty and hot. Good size portions. Staff welcoming. I would definitely go for dinner again.

Terrible service, waitress very rude and disinterested, main course nice, took a long time and we didn’t all get our food at the same time. Dessert was thrown together and not very nice, aunt Bessie’s micro sponge and cheap ice cream in the sundae. Wouldn’t visit again because of the rude staff.

The food was ok, the main was a lot better than the desserts which looked like they had just come out of a pack. The barmaid was extremely rude and didn’t want anything to do with the customers. She even complained about bringing the food to the table! Overall would not recommend and we certainly won’t be visiting again.

Sunday lunch was fantastic the chef an team could not do enough love this place always come for a meal when down in skegness

We ate dinner here rather than on the holiday park. Prices fair. It's pub grub with emphasis on the grill. Bartender was new and left on his own which he apologised for, but we didn't wait long and a nice chap. Childs meal good and partners home made lasagne was excellent as were the dirty fries and the onion rings sides. Ordered two burgers. These were undercooked, but, I don't think it was a reflection on the chef. They seemed quite gristley and would be a pain to cook through. We had a full refund on those anyway. It's got potential this place but not a manager in sight for whatever reason and the staff are left to struggle. No ketchup in the building at all and looked a bit run down. Some building work going on. Hopefully a renovation. Could be very good. Foundation is there but no love being shown by the owners at present.

Nice, simple food done well. Large portions too

Typical pub grub, staff were welcoming. Food served hot but mediocre in quality. Toilets clean and tidy. Building works were ongoing but no real impact.

I am not in a position to rate the welcome inn right now as it was a flying vist, i had one cold drink then had to go, i will vist again soon.

Girl who served me could of put a smile on her face..baguette was nice however hope you enjoy the apple crumble I walked of and left after an hour of waiting...slow service

Yapping dogs, food 50 minute wait, only got John Smiths bitter !!

Went in for a meal the food was excellent very tasty and lots of it good value for money couldn’t eat it all The staff are friendly would highly recommend

Went for Sunday Lunch,bot staff behind bar were on their mobile phones and had to ait for them to stop texting.As I had never had a carvery before decided to have one.Refused first serving of pork as it was dry and just bits.No roast potatoes,peas like bullets and you could play tiddlywinks with carrots.At one o'clock on a Sunday the pub had the atmosphere of a morgue.If the owners are going to venture into the Sunday Carvery market,they are going to do much better.When I left both staff glued to their phones,really appalling customer service.

Visited here after attempting to eat at the white horse in skegness, staff in there were extremely blunt and rude, we went to the welcome Inn and was welcomed by friendly staff and great food

When arriving the pub looked clean tidy and loads outside space walking in we was welcomed with a nice frieandly smile and a bucks fizz we was shown to our table and offered drinks and kids was given couloring books a Christmas activity pack the place was decorated lovely the staff was so frieandly amd welcoming nothing was to much bother... the food well!!! Homemade veg soup and garlic mushrooms in butter sauce and a Christmas dinner everything was amazing I can't fault a thing for the price It was 100% worth it! I highly recommend this place I can't fault it at all! For it being Christmas everyone was happy cheerful and enjoying the moment! The drinks flowed and food was all served with a nice brake in between!! Amazing place thank you x

Great place to eat. Warm welcoming staff. Nothing too much and good value for money. Have eaten here before many times so asked if they could do a family carvery for 31 people with food allergies. They met every need. Family loved the day .

Gone downhill since our last visit. We should have known as we arrived and the carpark was almost empty. As we walked in we thought it looked a bit run down but we decided to stay and eat. The food was OK but the table was not very clean with dried on food. Certainly won't return

Best place we have found in skegness will not go any where else for meals at night went in about 7oclock lovely welcome and lovely food and amazing bar staff will be going back in your pub worth the money as well

Stayed overnight in there camping area, free if you go in for a drink

We were staying nearby at the Park Dean site and decided to go here for dinner. It's very dog friendly, we sat inside with our dog and ordered food and drinks. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Drinks and food were served quickly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was 'normal' pub grub, very nice and generous portions. Also, it is a lot less expensive than eating on site at Park Dean. There is some nice seating outside that would be good on a hot day. I was surprised the place was quite quiet. If I'm in Skegness again, I'd eat there again.

Run out of Sunday lunches on a Sunday only ended up with drinks as the menu was restricted left and went to the White Hart

Been here a few times for meals. Food is first class. Service is quick. Staff are friendly and helpful. Play area for kids, dog friendly. There are outside wooden pods you can sit in to eat and drink. Wheelchair accessible. Plenty of parking.

Food and service were amazing! We ate outside in the picnic huts which was a real treat - the kids loved it and as it turned dark it was really cosy putting the light on in our hut. Everything was reasonably priced with a good selection of food and drink on offer - oh and plenty of parking!

We went for carvery veg hard and no knives had to wait 15 for one

Stopped for a swift pint. Staff were a bit moody behind bar. Took a bit longer than expected to be served. Sat in beer garden kids loved the bouncy castle. The girl outside was friendly.

Had a great anniversary meal here. Rump steak cooked just as we ordered, onion rings, mushrooms, chips and salad. Excellent meal, at a great price. 👍

The Welcome Inn. A very ironic name for a very unwelcoming place. We came on a quiet Wednesday evening as a family of 8 and were told there was no table availability (despite it being very empty) we asked if we could manage 2 tables of 4 and weren't fussy about sitting together but were instantly told no. As we walked out, we noticed numerous larger tables dotted all around the beer garden and returned to the bar to ask if we could sit outside and were reluctantly told we could (this option was never given to us) The drinks round was very expensive in my opinion. 3 flat cokes (with no ice and no option to have ice) and a pint of San Miguel came to £16.60 topped off with service with a scowl. The inside seemed quite dark and grubby and in hindsight we were glad we sat outside (it was a nice evening) Honestly, that's where the bad points end. The food came out after a short wait and was spot on! The young waitresses who bought out our food were much friendlier. The portion sizes were very generous and we were really impressed with the food! The outside seating area was great! Was nice for the kids to run around and play whilst we waited. There was also inflatable slides (small codt of £2) and a small wooden play area. Food costs were reasonable for the portion sizes. We ordered 5 adult meals that came to £54. It wasn't very busy, so was difficult to gage the atmosphere and the hostility from the inside bar staff almost ruined our night..but the food saved the day! Thank you chefs!

Food is A* staff are very friendly and helpful.

They need to have IPA drinks as well as largers.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful location and lovely food. This has become our new favourite place to eat in Skegness. Definitely worth it!

Seen the bouncy castles so pulled up an due to insurance policies she said it would not be possible for Mia to as you have to be below the hieght line this we did not know an spoilt it as we would not have bought anything here for any reason but felt we had too quite unfair.

Not very "welcoming". They refused to give my daughter their gluten free menu. The staff seemed to have a chip on their shoulders. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Nice place to take children with bouncy castles on site at a charge of two pounds each. A good selection of pub favourites and our grandchildren loved the spaghetti bolognaise.

Called in today for a carvery, hadn’t booked but thankfully got in just. The customer service was great, the food was brilliant, family of 5 had different meats and they were all amazing. No complaints at all, tasty and plenty.

Surly service off a barmaid who looked like she would prefer to be elsewhere. Poor draft beer selection, no decent ales. The band had dreadful vocal amplifier ( I know it's not the pubs fault).

Had lunch, poor, when asked how food was we showed them, they weren't interested and ignored us as we left and said bye, cannot recommend.

My son loves the bouncy castle and looks forward to go here every year this year to be told he's too tall head was a bit over the line he was in tears there was only 3 kids on the whole thing he's only 9 used to love going in just for the castles as really only place in area that has kids facilities ..

Worst pub meal I think I have ever had. Steak & ale pie, plenty of meat but too grisly to eat and chips very dry. Was offered a replacement but after trying this meal I declined. I will not be returning.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, sadly slightly ruined through poor hospitality. Stood several minutes at the door waiting to be seated, just to be ignored by 2 female members of staff who were chatting away about their own things rather than serving us, making us feel rather unwelcome from the start. Improve the hospitality and I think this would be a great place to eat!

Lovely atmosphere, outside seating available and dog friendly in the bar area. Quite a variety of food and drinks. Food was delicious, would recommend!

One of the worst places I've been out to for a long time. Soon as I picked up the scabby menu, that was it for me. Tabke were also not very clean. Went down to the white horse, completely different. Great place, good food, and good service.

Staff couldn't be bothered. Too interested in playing on phones to serve. Service was appauling. Food had to be changed twice as wrong order came out. Never again!

I visited this pub on 5th august with my parents and my 2 year old son, primarily because it looked nice from the outside. When we walked in there was no greeting of any sort only to be asked have we booked a table (the restaurant was 15% full) which we hadn’t. We were shown to a table which was ok but the menus were sticky and dirty. We ordered food and drinks with the lady behind the bar, she was pleasant and helpful. However that’s where any positives about this experience end. When our food arrived, the only way to describe it was absolutely terrible! The worst was my sons smiley faces that were dripping in fat, literally dripping. My parents fish and chips tasted of nothing other than burnt oil. I opted for a tuna mayo baguette thinking this was a safe option, however again the baguette was literally out of a bag, not toasted and the tuna mayo was tasteless, it didn’t taste of anything, the salad was old! I understand this was pub food, but it was probably the worse food we’ve had. Our server asked us how the food was, and politely I just mentioned my sons smiley faces, she just said ok and went to tell the manager that was stood behind us, no apology. The manager then just stared at us as we left, didn’t smile, didn’t say bye or anything. Really hoping this was based on extremely poor customer service and not because I looked different to everyone else that was dining in there!?!? Either way, I would never return and would advise anyone reading this to dine else where!

All we can say is wow, food was hot and plenty of it. Very good value for money, we couldn’t move after :) Staff were pleasant, as soon as anyone left they were there cleaning everything. Everyone was impressed with there meals, we just apologised we couldn’t eat it all ;)

Very nice carvery. Plate was piled high and very tasty. Staff were smiling, which is unusual nowadays. You can pick 2 roastmeats and as much veg as you can pile on your plate. It does get mega busy though

We thought of having a last night meal out on our last night of the holiday and chose steak "well done" for two, plus a cider each. On receiving the two steaks, we then put the condiments on, we then cut into the meat to find it rare, so we complained and they collected one of the steaks and not the other so I had to take it back to the bar myself, then a member of staff came to us saying that they gave us someone else's meal and apologised, then our order was brought to us and looking at it it looked cremated, the steak was totally burnt and very greasy the onion rings were like biting into a crisp rock hard, we had eaten a little but it was horrible, so again we complained again and they took the food away, so we finished our drinks then went to the bar for a full refund and that they offerd a refund on one meal as half of each meal had been eatern, we said that's not good enough as both meals had been cooked very badly, again the bar staff went away to check with the manager and then came back with the cash for both meals in the end, but why the manager could not come to see us personally I don't know. From the staff or manager were an apology offered. We won't be calling there again for sure.

Not sure about the food as we didn't stay. We were met by a member of staff with a toddler on her side, she actually showed us to our table with the toddler on her side (not sure this is safe or appropriate) The table we were given was FILTHY, my hands were sticking to the table, the menu obviously had not had a clean in a long time as it was also sticky, the seats the carpets were covered in old stains. We were on our holiday and looking for a nice restaurant to have a Sunday lunch, we are not snobs but do expect some hygiene when eating food. As this was the impression we got on entering the pub we didn't bother to eat, and promptly left. The pictures of the food look great but the real impression of the hygiene of the pub was quite shocking. We won't be returning...

We had dinner here, the food was good. The staff that bought our food were great and helpful. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the lady who took our order at the bar. She was rude and disinterested and the drinks lacked attention to detail., had to ask for ice for our drinks, that go me a look of contempt... Lol. I would return, as everyone has an off day and the food was decent.

Overall, what a shame. We chose to come here based on the positive reviews and when we first got there the staff were so friendly and nice, When I got my burger it was uncooked in the middle to a point where squeezing the burger made it drip blood, reluctantly I returned the burger and didn’t want to get another due to not wanting to wait, so I just asked for my chips back. From there, not one person came and apologised or spoke to us or anything, despite us being the first table finished amongst the room the waiters did not come clean our table up until we were the last one with plates, although we didn’t mind waiting, it appeared as though they was avoiding coming to our table because we returned something, after around 15 minutes of waiting eventually a young lady came and started to clear our stuff to which I asked if I was getting a refund for the burger, she didn’t know and said she’d go find out she came back with some cash which covered the burger. If I didn’t ask for a refund, would I have got one? To serve a burger in that way is just awful and to avoid returning to the table for the rest of the evening is just poor service. Deffo won’t be going again

Appeared to be short staffed when we entered, busy but able to find a table although it was rather messy and after sitting for a while we had to ask for it to be cleaned, food was ordered and delivered in good time but drinks were an issue, all soft drinks supplied by the gun pouring method but there appeared to be an problem with the gas as everything was flat although staff saw no issue with it. Not a bad experience but certainly not the best.

Popped in first time for food, there was a lot of tables was full of dirty plates etc & empty ones not been cleaned, we ordered burgers but my burger was not cooked properly which put me off my lunch, so we will not be going back

Driven past this place many times and always thought be good to come in so today we did. Well where do I start the table was filthy we had to ask for someone to come and clean it. Ordered drinks and food coke was flat took it back and they gave us another still flat they messed around doing something to it and tried again. Coke was still flat but by this time we just wanted a drink so went with the flat coke. They said it tasted ok but anyone can tell if a coke is flat or not it was flat. The table next to us complained about the coke then ended up giving them bottles of coke so obviously there was a problem. Food came by a girl holding the plate by the cuff of her dirty fleece which had gravy or someone else’s food stuck to it and really long fake nails. Really has no one heard of a tea towel. Food was nice but all needed to be warmer. Also had to ask for cutlery as the girl kept bringing the food which we could eat well we could if we wanted to use our fingers but she did take cutlery to the empty table next to us 👍🏼. My husband went to the toilet and advised us not to go while we was there as they where dirty and he’d prefer us to wait till we got home. Sat watching a member of staff leaning over one of the bars eating crisps while a queue of customers waited to be served then when she had finished her crisps picked up her drink and walked off I'm sure she could of stood out the way in stead of standing in front of the customers. A young lad working there looked like he needed a good hair wash his hair was so greasy I could of cooked the food with it no need for untidy hair, dirty clothes. Overall we won’t be returning, this pub needs a good clean staff needs cleaning up and maybe management needs to have a look at what is going on.

One of the worst pubs I’ve ever had the experience of going to. We went to order food at 4.30 to be told there is no Sunday dinners left which is fair enough. We then ordered other food and drinks. One of the members of our party ordered a coke. When sat down he took a drink to be surprised there was no soda in it what so ever. We took it back to the bar to be told off the bar member that “It’s ok because I’m drinking one right now” we then asked her to taste it and she refused. The food came out and the chips were cold. They took the food back for it to come back and the chips had been microwaved. When telling the bar staff that the food was cold the arrogance from her was unbelievable. The name is very misleading and the management and bad staff have the worst attitude I’ve ever seen. I would never go back here. Worst pub I’ve ever been to, and is a hell hole inside.

Lovely evening with my family here but the menu needs to be changed as it’s misleading as the large cod and chips on the menu is only very small and not enough to fill a small man it looks like a child portion.

We booked for Sunday lunch 4 days prior but when our party of 7 arrived at said time there was no booking they was very apologetic and we only had to wait about 10mins the Sunday lunch was superb would highly recommend

Went in for food. Not a big choice but steak n ale pie was OK. However when going to bar for drink the lady looked at me and rolled her eyes huffed and was about to serve me when a younger staff member served me with less fuss. If you don't want to serve holidaymakers don't work in a pub that relies partly on holidaymakers money to help stay open and give you a job. Locals and regulars got served by the lady with a smile no problems perhaps just didn't like me but believe me feelings were the same. Shame really as nice pub and food rest assured I won't return

It's ok, looks alright from the outside on a sunny day, bit grotty and worn out up close on the inside. Staff could do with a Disney training course (ie. Learn how to smile when serving).

Great food terrible service. Entered bar area, older waitress sat us down on a table which had been previously used, table was quite wet due to spillages from previous guest. She advised she'd come back to clean it up, 1 week later I'm still waiting! Went to bar to order 2 meals, stood there for 2-3 minutes without even an acknowledgement, bar staff were deep in conversation and clearly didn't have time for paying punters. Only plus side is food was amazing, best steak pie I have ever had, shame service was a let down.

Been told it’s just been taken over by new management so thought we’d give it a go after seeing the band set up. Absolutely terrible!! It definitely should not be called the ‘welcome’ inn! The young blonde lady behind the bar was so rude, even...

Unfortunately we wouldn’t be back for food. Stopped off as staying locally at holiday park. Portion sizes are far too big with some meals. House salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, tomato and raw white onion which should never go in salads and it covered nearly...

The carvery was excellent and vegetables were cooked to perfection. You won't leave hungry

We came here and were able to stay overnight in our van 😊 the staff were brilliant, so friendly and welcoming! We had a meal which was really lovely. It was a Saturday so the wait on the food was a while however the restaurant was very busy so it was expected! We will be returning on our travels 😊

Went in ordered 3 cup of tea and a coffee but ran out of coffee, so had to have tea, got severed 4 cups of hot water on a tray with a tea bag each, the place was filthy, staff didn't act like they wanted to be there, never ate as menus looked liked they where falling to bits, tables wasn't wiped, ovoid at all cost

A fantastic place we were allowed to stay in our camper for 5 days they only ask you to either have a drink or eat there we did both the food is exceptional large portions freshly prepared and super tasty the beer is very well...

Very welcoming and accommodating for our dog and a member of our party in a wheelchair. Food was very good. We will be returning so everyone can have an onion ring the size of someone's head!!

What a meal , had a rack of ribs with salad and chips wow. Never had such a big meal, would recommend anyone to try this pub . Will look forward to visiting again.

Nice pub serving good food at a great price. No complaints from 4 people who normally find fault with something. It’s very dog friendly and that’s the main reason we chose the place in the first place.

Great carvery, high chair wasn't the cleanest though. And the toilets weren't great.
