The Welcome Inn in East Lindsey

Food was stationed infeont of rhe entrance to the toilet which was not far from the actual food. The food appeared expired and not good for consumption.

Lovely pub . Food was great . Stopped over in their carpark in my camper van for the night most welcoming

Garlic mushrooms were mediocre, tasted like the sauce hadn't seen any garlic. Ordered chips but they had no vinegar, someone clearly hadn't done their job properly and allowed the supply to run out. Not great for a resteraunt. Also, despite the table tops looking clean my clothes kept sticking to them which was rather irritating.

food came out 1 plate every 10 minutes, the cheesecake tasted like onions, its common sense to bring out the kids dessert first but it came out last and my little sister was in distress by the end of it and they could see that and the staff were very miserable

Drinks only, passed this place many many times on the way into Skegness always looked smart with the outdoor pods, looking forward to my first visit quite grotty & messy even the staff looked scruffy also lots of flies 😳

Good food friendly staff and the Guinness was spot on

Avoid the creamy garlic mushrooms, they'll make you violently sick and you'll stink the house out.

One of the best Sunday carvery we have had

Popped in with intention of booking a family meal later in week but changed our minds. Couple of meals we did see coming out from kitchen looked ok. We were originally sat at a table in pub then decided to go outside as we had a child with us who wanted to play. This appeared to be an issue for one staff member who came looking for us to bark are we staying outside now! Found the place chaotic. Play area was in need of some repairs.

We had booked in for hubbys 70 birthday meal, there were 12 people in our party, on holiday at ParkDean, we dropped the cake off first. Later we all met up and had food, it was all good thoroughly enjoyed it , staff were really good, we left half the cake to share as it was big. Highly recommended.

We visited here on Sunday 1/9/24 we really enjoyed our Sunday Carvery & drinks, they were lovely. We sat in the outside pod with dog. The pods are lovely and comfortable. The staff were friendly and excellent.

We were quite surprised at how shabby the interior has become, definitely in need of cleaning and upgrading. The food was tasty and plentiful, but my husband became poorly the same evening with stomach cramps. It's a shame as the service was great.

Scampi was lovely,chips ok,salad disgusting,the lettuce was brown in a lot of places,onion rings excellent

Had to wait 35 minutes for food, when food finally got to us it wasn't good at all, we was the only people in the large room still sat down with food on table and someone came hoovering the carpet, which isn't professional at all won't ever go there again staff are not pleseant

Starters came out with dinner even tho asked for them 1st also some food was changed to that was said to be on the menu no one explained tbone was over cooked and chips dry bouncy castle outside was cash only but no way of getting cash from inside the pub asked about cash back was told there not allowed so abit pointless

Don't get me wrong with this review the food was really nice but my moan is how staff was chastised towards staff one once but twice once by a blonde/grey older lady and once by the management Lady owner who was sat eating a meal herself in a corner near window did they chastise young members of staff in front of guest's, As a licensed owner myself I also have younger staff working for me especially this time of year, Never would I chastised them in public to humiliate them, Surely as management it would be nicer to have taken both young ladies aside and just quietly say Don't for get customer's Knifes and forks or do not throw white table clothes away We were all young once in different aspects of work and all made mistakes Just give them a break Also dust cobwebs round your windows

Went in on the 17/8/24… Woman that served us may as well work in a morgue. The food came - rack of ribs - cold Hunters chicken - looked like it come out of a hedge. 12oz gammon that salty it may as well come out of skeggy beach. The chef looked like he hadn’t bath for a month. Should have known better. Go else where..

Discriminatory!! Avoid . Rude staff and uneducated in disability law Today was unbelievable. Had my daughter with me. Daughter is 21 and has a disability. They refused her a wkd because she didn’t have a driving licence to prove her age!! She isnt allowed to drive!!! She carries a citizen card for age identy for disabled folk which has to be certified by original passport. Been accepted everywhere previously, but here. Staff were rude and said they dont accept the id, despite it being an approved form of id. I offered a pic of her passport too, They refused. Totally ignorant . Talk about discriminatory for a young disabled woman to have a lawful choice allowed her !!!

We were made to sit at one of the worst tables in the pub with a split sofa, right by the bar, even though the pub was dead and there were dozens of tables free in much nicer spaces. A neighbouring table returned their steaks because they were raw. When our food arrived they forgot one of our orders plus the peppercorn sauce. They had no ketchup for the kids burgers. Both of the ladies toilets were covered all over in poo. The hand dryers didn't work and there was no toilet roll. Not to mention the place looked scruffy and dirty. The food was not cheap.

Great food, friendly staff and dog friendly, we try to visit everytime we are in Skegness, it's a great place to dine and for stop overs

Food was ok plenty of it, drinks were ordered but member of staff that served us was rude, dinner was then ordered with same staff member and again was very rude, think they need to look for another job that doesn't involve customers. Manners cost nothing, and go along way THANK YOU for your service this evening.

Stayed with our motorhome, ate and drank, everything about it was excellent. Just had another great stay here with excellent food and service.

popped in for lunch , & me & hubby had the steak& ale pie , it was delicious & quite big & had plenty of meat in it ,& you got plenty of chips too , & my daughter had the scampi , & it came with chips & salad & she loved it , the staff were quite friendly & were soon bringing us our meals & drinks , & it's a lovely big pub with plenty of carpark & tables outside all under wooden type shelters which is nice too .

Food was shocking, reheated chips and rock hard sausages, my family of four were on a little holiday, we lost a whole day from being ill, talking to waitress in poppy's cafe about it and apparently the red haired manager notoriously keeps money for partial refunds which is what we were offered, it was not pleasant and will not go back but we didn't know better.

Absolute chaos is the only way to describe this place, the poor staff members looked like they were run off their feet, we arrived around half 6 and were told there would be upto an hour wait for food, which was fine, when we had decided our order the barman it was more likely going to be an hour and a half wait for food, which was too long for us to wait with a 4 and a half year old…we did stay for another hour to have a couple of drinks, during this time the food coming out of the kitchen did look lovely, it was a shame we couldn’t wait to try some, the pub wasn’t particularly busy it just seemed there were not enough staff to cope with the few people there

5 of us came for food. One meal was sent back because it was stone cold. Other meals weren’t great ether burger was over cooked and couldn’t be eaten Pepsi and lemonade from the pump were flat and no taste. Onion rings cold on arrival to. Would not recommend this place

Extremely disappointed today 04/07/2024, been Twice so far so this week Monday 01/07/24 & Wednesday 03/07/24 me and my wife had the 2 meals for £12 and was really nice, both times my wife had the fish with mushy peas and it wasn't a problem but today the girl behind the bar said that we were not allowed to have the mushy peas that it wasn't an option on the 2 meals for £12, how can it change in just 24 hours. What ever happened to the customer is always right? We asked to speak to the manager but was told that there was no manager on duty today which is hard to believe. This was our favourite place to come and have a nice meal every time we came to Skegness but not anymore!! Will definitely NOT be going back to the Welcome inn. Such a disappointment!😡😡

Alright place but it does seem like the lasagna isn’t freshly made. It does taste nice but the meat is dry so it’s either over cooked or it was cooked then froze to cook. Plus it was quite small portion. Rather had more lasagna than chips. You get lots of chips with your meals which taste good. There’s a server that’s very lovely guy compared to the woman. Place does need a deep clean tables are super sticky and aren’t cleaned up often. Meals come out quick. But you don’t get ice in your drinks

A proper pub meal husband had gammon was a very good size served with chips 2 eggs peas a lovely side salad I had chicken fajitas served with salad cheese salsa both cooked well and brought out promptly

I was appalled by the arrogant and rude behaviour of the staff. A lady tried to enter with a pushchair on her own which house a disabled dog aswell as other. The pushcahair wouldnt fit through the door a couple of customers including myself tried to hold the door open to which the staff shouted In a tone of pure rudeness... It obviously doesn't open. None of the staff offered to bring a drink to the door even while coming in and out with other people's orders. The lady then left feeling upset at the so called customer satisfaction they offer. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and will not be taking a break in there again. 🤬🤬

The only thing we didn't like about this pub was where the table was for our meal.

Excellent place to stop whilst visiting Skegness

Took father in law there today. Our first time in the 7 years living a few miles away from it. Went for the bites, 8 dishes. Amazing, fresh cooked, hot, full afterwards. Staff helpful as well. Would highly recommend a trip here for a meal. If weather good, massive garden you can sit out in to eat or just chill with a drink.

A nice friendly pub shame it doesn't serve real ale.

Me and my friend both had baguettes which came with side salad and crisps. We went two nights on the trot . My only disappointment was there wasn't any pulled pork on both nights

A great traditional pub meal. As part of a large group of adults and children we visited for an evening meal. It was quite busy inside, so clearly is popular. The choice of meals is good, and the food itself is fantastic, with dinner very generous portion sizes. Service was a little slow and a couple of kids meals came out way after everyone else's (it did seem that they had been forgotten), but fortunately they were very tasty and the kids thoroughly enjoyed them. A great location, she's I imagine it's fantastic when the weather is good due to the outside pod s/seating. Highly recommend, particularly if staying at Butlins or one of the other nearby sites.

Just had thr BBQ burger here, not bad at all for the price. Quite a large plate and very tasty. The pub is well looked after although decor is aged but that isn't a bad thing to be honest. Had cheesecake for desert and it was also pretty decent for the price.

This pub used to be a family favourite. What has happened. The food took over an hr, didn’t seem that busy. Very over priced for the food served. The staff were disinterested, unwelcoming and seemed to be making it up as they went along. We will not be returning. Best thing about the experience was the children's play are.

Terrible service, waitress very rude and disinterested, main course nice, took a long time and we didn’t all get our food at the same time. Dessert was thrown together and not very nice, aunt Bessie’s micro sponge and cheap ice cream in the sundae. Wouldn’t visit again because of the rude staff.

The food was ok, the main was a lot better than the desserts which looked like they had just come out of a pack. The barmaid was extremely rude and didn’t want anything to do with the customers. She even complained about bringing the food to the table! Overall would not recommend and we certainly won’t be visiting again.

We ate dinner here rather than on the holiday park. Prices fair. It's pub grub with emphasis on the grill. Bartender was new and left on his own which he apologised for, but we didn't wait long and a nice chap. Childs meal good and partners home made lasagne was excellent as were the dirty fries and the onion rings sides. Ordered two burgers. These were undercooked, but, I don't think it was a reflection on the chef. They seemed quite gristley and would be a pain to cook through. We had a full refund on those anyway. It's got potential this place but not a manager in sight for whatever reason and the staff are left to struggle. No ketchup in the building at all and looked a bit run down. Some building work going on. Hopefully a renovation. Could be very good. Foundation is there but no love being shown by the owners at present.

Typical pub grub, staff were welcoming. Food served hot but mediocre in quality. Toilets clean and tidy. Building works were ongoing but no real impact.

I am not in a position to rate the welcome inn right now as it was a flying vist, i had one cold drink then had to go, i will vist again soon.

Girl who served me could of put a smile on her face..baguette was nice however hope you enjoy the apple crumble I walked of and left after an hour of waiting...slow service

Went for Sunday Lunch,bot staff behind bar were on their mobile phones and had to ait for them to stop texting.As I had never had a carvery before decided to have one.Refused first serving of pork as it was dry and just bits.No roast potatoes,peas like bullets and you could play tiddlywinks with carrots.At one o'clock on a Sunday the pub had the atmosphere of a morgue.If the owners are going to venture into the Sunday Carvery market,they are going to do much better.When I left both staff glued to their phones,really appalling customer service.

Visited here after attempting to eat at the white horse in skegness, staff in there were extremely blunt and rude, we went to the welcome Inn and was welcomed by friendly staff and great food

When arriving the pub looked clean tidy and loads outside space walking in we was welcomed with a nice frieandly smile and a bucks fizz we was shown to our table and offered drinks and kids was given couloring books a Christmas activity pack the place was decorated lovely the staff was so frieandly amd welcoming nothing was to much bother... the food well!!! Homemade veg soup and garlic mushrooms in butter sauce and a Christmas dinner everything was amazing I can't fault a thing for the price It was 100% worth it! I highly recommend this place I can't fault it at all! For it being Christmas everyone was happy cheerful and enjoying the moment! The drinks flowed and food was all served with a nice brake in between!! Amazing place thank you x

Great place to eat. Warm welcoming staff. Nothing too much and good value for money. Have eaten here before many times so asked if they could do a family carvery for 31 people with food allergies. They met every need. Family loved the day .

Gone downhill since our last visit. We should have known as we arrived and the carpark was almost empty. As we walked in we thought it looked a bit run down but we decided to stay and eat. The food was OK but the table was not very clean with dried on food. Certainly won't return

Stayed overnight in there camping area, free if you go in for a drink

We were staying nearby at the Park Dean site and decided to go here for dinner. It's very dog friendly, we sat inside with our dog and ordered food and drinks. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Drinks and food were served quickly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was 'normal' pub grub, very nice and generous portions. Also, it is a lot less expensive than eating on site at Park Dean. There is some nice seating outside that would be good on a hot day. I was surprised the place was quite quiet. If I'm in Skegness again, I'd eat there again.

Run out of Sunday lunches on a Sunday only ended up with drinks as the menu was restricted left and went to the White Hart

Been here a few times for meals. Food is first class. Service is quick. Staff are friendly and helpful. Play area for kids, dog friendly. There are outside wooden pods you can sit in to eat and drink. Wheelchair accessible. Plenty of parking.

Food and service were amazing! We ate outside in the picnic huts which was a real treat - the kids loved it and as it turned dark it was really cosy putting the light on in our hut. Everything was reasonably priced with a good selection of food and drink on offer - oh and plenty of parking!

We went for carvery veg hard and no knives had to wait 15 for one

Stopped for a swift pint. Staff were a bit moody behind bar. Took a bit longer than expected to be served. Sat in beer garden kids loved the bouncy castle. The girl outside was friendly.
