Just been and ordered 2xSmall Carveries. My last hot meal before I go under the knife to have cancerous tumours removed tomorrow. "Small"? Make that minute. Food not overly hot, but the plate it was served was very hot. The carver was asked for a serviette, his response showed his 100% lack of customer skills. He stated "They're at your table" and made no effort to help a customer who then had to carry a red hot plate - so my partner went and got some. Disgusting service from a carver who looked like ha didn't want to be there. Don't try getting a job in customer services, you'd fail miraculously.

The food was of outstanding quality and served by friendly and warm welcoming members of staff, the service was excellent from start to finish. Will definitely be returning again!

Very nice time at the jug and bottle, staff were very friendly especially Evie and Ella they were very good with our table and food came out very quickly, I would highly recommend.

The food was really nice. We had the carvery and we were given plenty of meat. Good choice of veg too. Staff were really efficient too.

Always a good meal and nice, helpful staff. Our Waitress was Victoria, who is very pleasant and efficient.

The best pub food in the area in my opinion. Prices are reasonable, £6.99 for all you can eat breakfast.

Went there Sunday for the carvery and I really enjoyed it everything was hot. Spoke with the manageress Becky liked the place so much I even asked for a job. Will definitely be going back

We visit at least once a week for either breakfast or carvery. It has become our go to place. Food is always fresh & hot. Prices are very reasonable. Pat & Fiona always friendly. Highly recommend

We visited this establishment for a family meal and were very impressed. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, with a rustic warm theme decor and nicely dim lighting. The staff were courteous and professional, greeting us with a smile and a warm welcome. They quickly seated our family of five, including a baby, and were attentive to our needs throughout the meal. The food was delicious and well-prepared. I enjoyed the signature burger, while my partner had the carvery. The menu offered a wide variety of options at reasonable prices, and they even had baby bowls available, which was a nice touch. Overall, I was very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend this establishment to others. The quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all excellent. Food was fine, had the carvery. It's £1 more expensive than the Trawlerman and about on par. Long, long queues for the carvery, much longer than the Trawlerman, once we finally got to the front of the queue, I found the female carver quite rude. In conclusion, should you go here or the Trawlerman? The Trawlerman wins hands down for us, so make your own choice

Awful service, waiting 20 minutes for the carver to serve 4 people, the manager was most unfriendly when asked he had been there since 12 noon and no one was available to take over, obviously understaffed. Avoid if you are in a rush

Had a great time. I chose the Margherita pizza with vegan cheese, and it was delicious. The place was cosy and nice to relax in. There was a wonderful variety of carvery vegetables to choose from. The staff was friendly. I recommend this place for a tasty meal in a comfortable setting.

We go at least once a week and it is always busy and.The staff are amazing and the service is exceptional.The food is next level and the chef's are always polite and happy.Even when the place is packed to the rafters the place and the table you are given is always spotless.

We arrived at the time we had booked our meal & were kept waiting quite a long time to be shown to our table. Three of the guests had carvery which looked really lovely, I had scampi which I thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was very nice & asked us if everything was ok which it was after we finally got to our table. We will still return for another meal.

I cannot moan about the food it was exceptional, however the service was no way near the food standard in fact it was awful. Yes they was busy but the male serving our food just about slammed my granddaughters desert down in front of her not our fault the order was wrong then we waited well over 20 mins for the adult desserts to be told a load of rubbish and would still probably wait a while as the orders had not gone through or something like then. I went to pay and yes I did complain but then to be told all orders went through time appropriately but kitchen was just doing orders as they came through and obs not checking We was walking out to then be told the desserts were ready so I’m afraid there may be lack of communication. Also I had three young grand children who was fed up of waiting. Unhappy customer!!!!!

Popped in for a quick breakfast as we were passing and needed something quickly. We got our tickets really quickly and were able to grab all the food we wanted. It was all piping hot and there was loads to choose from.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Jug and Bottle Stonehouse in Grimsby! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding, with a great variety of delicious options, all cooked to perfection. We particularly enjoyed the carvery, which was both generous and flavorful. The cleanliness and décor of the restaurant added to the overall pleasant dining experience. We will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in Grimsby. Five stars all the way!

Been there several times with either family, friends or both. Fantastic food, the carvery is to die for, great friendly service & a wonderful ambience inside. We, family & friends, will continue visiting, usually once, but sometimes twice, a month.

Breakfast was very good as allways and ruth and becky who served us were spot on very friendly and allways had a smile on there faces, would highly recommend anyone to go for breakfast there.

We went here last night Frist time ever waited to be seated girl never asked if we had been before nothing sat us in a corner near the carvery no room to move hot food counter looked a complete mess wont ne returning we just walked out. Went to the trawlerman was lovely.

Not been in here for about a year due to a couple of bad meals, (Inedible roast beef and on another occasion cold Pizza!) Tonight ordered 2 Pizzas the Pepperoni one was excessively salty and we waited 40 minutes for them to arrive at the table. Waitress was lovely and apologetic. But prior to this I had been to the Pizza prep area and asked the cook if my Pizzas were anywhere near ready he lied to me as he told me they were in the oven!!! ...they weren't even made! Not happy. I try to promise myself never to return.

Lovely cosy place. Great food and at a fair price. Lovely staff who are always friendly, attentive and have a smile. And thank you to Fiona, Pat, Ruth and Tom who usually look after us weekly. Well done guys xx it's always a weekly pleasure with you all xx

Only been for a breakfast average for a all you can eat . Will be going back to have a meal .

Warning for people with hearing difficulties Non of us had been here before...... My mother in law has a cochlear implant and we got put in the big room on the end this had a children party in (children wasn't particularly behaving either witch didn't help the situation) the room was very loud to the point my mother in law couldn't hear a word we was saying, we asked to move tables and explain the situation. Floor manager (i think) told us we would have to wait a hour after we already book this table. There where plenty of other tables that we could of swaped for (there was 5 of us). We was very disappointed that they didn't even trying to accommodate for a disability! Am not one to complain either but anything to do with any disabilities it grains my gears Good job the food was good !

We booked a table for a easy lunch with the kids , was greeted by the lovely Fiona and Phoebe who showed us to the table. Lucy was an absolute angel helping me out with my order . My sister was really impressed with the carvery and the pizza was fab . Faith looked after us and she is always a delight. She sorted the girls pudding super fast , which always helps when your dinning with 2 young children. And the lovely Becky made sure we had everything we need and popped to see the girls who always love to chat to her when they come in . Thank you guys , we will be in to see you again soon x

Booked in the morning, friends still had to wait extra time for carvery so I had to eat alone. The waitress was very pushy, also my pizza was grainy.

Went tonight for some drinks. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The fajita burger was amazing!!!! A great place to meet a friend and have a catch-up! Thank you

Recommend the crispy chicken burger and ask for the Frank's hot sauce.

Food is fantastic, cannot say anything bad about it and the Sunday Carvery is brilliant. The staff seem to be under quite a lot of pressure and it very much seems like a sit down and order your food sort of thing. (Update on my below point, the service gas greatly improved, plenty of staff, super efficient and very quick doing everything) But I'd not say this is a reason not to go but it's something the management could do with looking at, maybe a few more members of staff.

Ordered 3 meals after waiting 2 meals arrived asked where the 3rd meal was the server came back and said the 3rd meal eas not put threw the system. A short time later a Duty Manager came to speak to us and offered to get my meal sorted. I declined as my 2 guests had eaten a lot of their meal so our meal out as far as I was concerned was spoilt as we could not eat together. Will not be returning.

Went on a bank holiday Monday, waited 50 minutes for food as we ordered from the menu. The food came out and to my suprise I couldn't believe how poor it was. Within a few hours of eating I got an upset stomach. I'm certainly in no rush to go back.

I was recommended this place for breakfasts. Never again. Eggs were covered in oil , hard yokes, paid extra for mushrooms but not worth it. Really dissapointed. Back to peggies next week

I come for breakfast 3 times a week and Carvery Thursday or. Saturday all staff are very friendly and I recommend the Jug & Bottle daily.

A perfect breakfast at The jug with my son, food was hot and plenty of it, the pots being refilled constantly by the friendly team.

Went here on Saturday. Had a great time with my family, aswell as great service from a young lady called Ella. Not only was she smiley but also very welcoming. Would recommend to a friend and will happily return!

We come here regularly and normally it’s great. Visited Sunday for a carvery and it was disgusting! So bad that I’m having to put it on here. The meat was all fat. Even the gammon and turkey. The turkey tasted of water, no veg, the gravy tasted strange, the Yorkshire puddings are bought ones now, the roasties were undercooked. Really put us off. It wasn’t busy either. Very disappointing. Many people around us said the same thing.

The staff are always really friendly and helpful even though they are always rushed off their feet! There is nowhere that does a better carvery at a more reasonable price. There’s a reason at times people are queuing out the door for a table!

When I came in I was greeted by a lovely waitress behind the bar, I think she said her name was Moon. She was very helpful especially with my disabilities as an autistic person as well as a hard of hearing person. She guided me through how to use the app, create an account and even provided recommendations on various food options and drinks options according to my tastes and dietary needs. All in all, she went above and beyond, warmed my heart to know there's still people like this out there. The food was great, the kitchen team must be fantastic, with the rate of service and the quality of food delivered. The hot and spicy prawns were to die for. Moving onto the carvery, pretty standard but still made an absolute feast out of it. The sticky toffee pudding is always my go to, came out hot and plentiful. Worth the money!! Service is a good five stars for definite, even from my limited experience with one or two people. Atmosphere is only mid because I don't like kids but I can appreciate that it is a family pub setting. The food is great.

A lovely, cosy place, absolutely brilliant staff and the best carvery in town. Well done guys, a really nice experience from all of you as always. We've been coming in the jug and bottle for over 18years now and never had a problem, we've always been looked after, special thanks to Fiona the manager who is always so attentive and organised, Pat, a member of the bar staff team and Tom the fastest carver in town, but all the staff are always busy and say hello and goodbye, which is nice from younger members of staff these days. 👍 😀 👏

Enjoyable meal at a fantastic price

Don't go at 1045 for breakfast. Paid full price for the oily leftovers in the bottom of the tray... my whole family (4 of us) have gut ache now. Had it all day. Awful. Won't be having breakfast again...

Breakfast was OK, not so good for disabled in a power chair to get your food

We've had breakfast at a Stonehouse Restaurant before when we have stayed on a caravan park...they are very handy if you can't be bothered to cook for yourself or, if in our case, you are packing up and going home. We planned to pack up and leave the Haven site at Cleethorpes,and head here for breakfast. It's only 15 minutes away, there is loads of on site parking, accessibility is good and the food is excellent and plentiful. Buffet breakfast is £5,99 or £6,99 for an adult ....drinks are extra. Really good sausages and black pudding. Very consistent quality and service in all the Stonehouse Restaurants we've been to and we will be returning.

Been here many times in the past for the carvery and cant fault it. However today, my wife and i thought we would try the 3 courses for £13.99, things started badly when i wasn’t allowed to use my 25% off voucher. Anyway the food was ordered and bearing in mind it wasn’t busy, after sometime the starters and the mains arrived together. I said to the waitress who was on a different planet why have you fetched the starters and mains together, her response “because you ordered it at the same time” was her reply. The mains were taken away till a later time. When they came back my wifes order was wrong, she had ordered the simply chicken burger and what arrived was the southern fried chicken burger. Not to complain again and spoil the occasion she ate it. As mentioned earlier the carveries here are great, but im sorry to say avoid ordering from the main menu, the quality of food was awful. The sticky toffee pudding was ok, but everything else was shameful. I wanted to complain again, but it was our wedding anniversary and for my wifes sake, I didn’t want to make a scene.

One of the worst Carvery’s we have ever tasted . Nothing had any taste to it even the mash !! When we told the waitress of our disappointment her reply was “didn’t you know everything is frozen !”

Lovely food we all enjoyed it service was great, nice relaxing atmosphere.

Food would have received 5* had the chips been real and not oven chips. We had pizza, which was very nice. Not sure how my parents would have coped with the ordering system with it being via QR code. That was very quick and easy and I have to say, one of the best online ordering I have used.

A roast carvery that sets the bar high. Excellent value,quality and taste. Pleasant environment, definitely recommended.

Very busy day! Very friendly staff . Quick service at tills to order. Massive queue for carvery but staff working as quick as they can . Food lovely as always, hot & tasty. Great choice of veg. Mash potato hot & creamy (wish mine was like that). Boys on table service really nice and very polite. All in all a great visit.

Terrible service not just waiters and waitresses but the manager on the bar was obissmal to. Such a shame as we visited quite frequently but after today service we will never be back!

Great carvary good choice of vegetables

Food as per was good and well priced. The downside was, no Guinness, No cask beers.

Can be very busy during certain times. We tend to go when it gets quieter late afternoon. Long queue while actually waiting to get you food if having a carvery but food is nice,. Staff are friendly and helpful, no play are for children, but does have a small slide outside. This was our second visit and will return again
