Visited the jug and bottle thursday for a carvery lunch,with my friend. We must say how we enjoyed our lunch. Plenty of choices for the carvery. Gammon and Turkey was delicious. All the veg was perfectly cooked to. All the staff were very friendly and polite. .

Went in for tea tonight great service shown to a table as we didn’t book . It was quite busy top tip order on the app to save u queuing at the bar . Drinks came quickly waited a little bit before getting carvery when I returned the others had had their burgers and pizza delivered to table .

Always worth a trip to J&B, it provides what you'd expect, It's not fine dining, but it is good nosh for a fair price. I enjoy the general vibe of the place, it feels bright and cheery. I can't recall leaving not feeling very full and in a good mood.

A rare treat for us. But let down. Carvery. warm meat and vegetables(soggy).Roast potatoes inedible... Burnt.

On arrival we were told the tills were not working and to join a queue to get our carvery ,my wife joined the long queue and half way threw was told cash only as we had no cash we had to leave it was chaos a shambles and they moan at me for complaining

Does a great carvery at a great price can get a bit busy but if your happy to go a little out of the busy times then it's an easy run through. Breakfasts are well worth a go as well.

Awesome place meet there very month and its fantastic

The whole place was a disaster. There was no ice cream for the bottom less sunde and then when we asked for a pepsi it was flat and tasted like pure mixture the cavery meat was all pure fat and not nice at all. when ordered a desert it came out while the mains was still on table and the safe was very rude. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Each year, it is a tradition for us to dine at the Jug and Bottle Stonehouse Carvery on Christmas Eve or New Year's Day. The veggies were served hot and fresh, the potatoes, and the beef, turkey, and gammon were cooked to perfection tender and flavourful, showcasing excellent preparation. Everything was served at the perfect temperature. It's such a lovely experience with top-notch British cuisine. Best local Carvery. I can't recommend this place enough for its amazing quality and the freshness of its dishes.

Booked for boxing day 2024 for a party of 6 in the name of Palmer, table number 60/61. The young lady was absolutely lovely, ever so plesent, friendly and efficient to the extreme. She kept an eye on us finishing 1 course and without rushing us asked if we was ready for our next course. I do hope she receives this feedback because she is a credit to the company.

Such lovely food and great service

First time to jug and bottle no explanation on how to order or to find staff to ask. Especially ordering via app eventually we did find someone and they were really helpful. We will go again.

Breakfast is only just average quality as in meats ect, pizza was available at 0930 am was a nice extra, service was below av but still ok

Was Here boxing day was shown to our table by a very nice young lady went to bar git our drinks asked if we were ready for 1st course promptly brought out, excellent choice at carvery after plates were taken away were asked if we were ready for desert & it was fabulous, can not find fault at all t was fantastic.

We came for a family meal on Boxing Day with 22 people! The food was fantastic and we were well cared for by the staff working. We had a great time and no complaints from anyone

We love a jug breakfast more than anything and just want to thank Ruth for taking care of us boxing day and to all the other staff all the others days we visit from kitchen staff to management. You all put up with so many rude customers that think they are in the right and forget you speak rudely to the staff they will get there backs up. They have more than 1 job to do which I think people forget. Your all amazing

This place is head and shoulders above the 1000s of places I've been to, well organized, not to noisey, no loud music, staff helpful, food very good, keep up the good work,,,

Booked a table for our Christmas Eve family meal ( 3 coarse ) .... The table set out was not to good , had to wait an hour before our starter arrived after asking several times. Had to ask for our main and clear our own cutlery etc away. Had to ask again for our desert several times some had finished before some had got theirs and the wait to get drinks was pathetic. Massively under staffed .. the food was OK as always , The staff was very polite, very busy and when asked helped as much as they could , no problem with them at all , but the service for a pre booked party was terrible. Under staffed ....the waiting was bad , 👎 Would I book again for a large family meal ... No Would I personally go again .... Yes .......... Happy Christmas to all the staff you did your best .... Thank You

I highly recommend having the all you can eat breakfast since it’s not only incredibly cheap and delicious. My girlfriend and I come here often for both the breakfast and the carvery (which isn’t as good as the breakfast but still one of the best carvery places around Grimsby).

Went midweek for the carvery - everything cooked to perfection ! Gammon and turkey was so tender and a generous helping too.

I'd like to start by saying that I have quite a few allergies the staff were absolutely 100% fantastic and once they made sure it was safe they even offered to plate my food separately to the buffet The food was amazing meat was so tender the veggies and potatoes were still piping hot and there were lots of options gravey was divine. The service and all the staff were super friendly it was lovely and if I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be going back Good value for money 5 stars

Carvery and Restaurant team are very nice, shame about the arrogant manager who doesn't care about her customers! We had one bad meal and I asked to see the manager, I was then told the manager doesn't come to tables and I had to go to the bar to see her! So i did and it was an absolute waste of time, she didn't care one bit! I feel sorry for her staff working for that!

The meal is consistently good, there are always a lot of people there which speaks volumes for value for money.

Pleasant afternoon lunch spent with grand & great grand children

Decided to go for a light lunch , with husband getting over cancer l, we had to queue to get into the place then queue to place an order , with one young lad serving on his own , if you know it’s busy on a Sunday why do you have young people walking around doing nothing and I person behind bar , what a joke ! And by the time I aventually got to order , they was t serving the sandwiches, what a waste of time , and a disgrace, staff are too young and miserable

Went for breakfast and so glad we did, just over £17 for two all you can eat breakfasts and unlimited hot drinks, the breakfast selection was of very good standards with plenty of choice. Bacon, sausage, eggs, black pudding, hash browns, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes. There was even waffles. Nothing was greasy or overcooked. Was always refilled when running low. You had a choice of white or brown bread which you could toast yourself if wanted. Had jam and marmalade choices too, overall a very pleasant experience and will definitely be returning

I like restaurants in the morning eating breakfast can free refill food and tea or coffee , I very like

A shame that they give you a sausage what’s was left over from breakfast instead of pigs in plankets that they only give out once the brekky sausages have gone definitely be trying somewhere eles next time

Standard carvery on a midweek lunch time. Long queue at times for the carvery but they got through the queue pretty quickly. Good choice of meat and vegetables.

Very helpful staff, had the carvery only thing to fault was the beef was not the best quality, a little tough.

We had not visited for 1-2 years (used to visit regularly) so booked a table one of us had never been here yet, so we had to share the great food experience.... It was at 19:00 we arrived, but it was still fairly busy, not too busy though. A friendly welcome, after which we were shown to our table. Shortly after we purchased our food tickets at the bar, as well as our drinks. After having put the drinks on the table we queued (a very short queue) to get our meats, red cabbage, fried potatoes, sprouts, etc. I opted for gammons, pigs in blanket, turkey and beef, as everything looked nice. As expected I also took everything else. To end taking some gravy, no sauces (ketchup and/or may). I tried the turkey 1st, but it was tasteless white meat. So, I took some beef, but this too had any taste... The gammons however tasted very nice, but then the 'pib's' were too fried and tasted strange. I unfortunately was kind of disappointed, it was not like I remembered. The very small sprouts were boiled too long and were very soft (no bite), the carrots were nice, but then again the potatoes tasted greasy. No nice fried potato taste. They had a thick, hard , greasy crust. My apologies for a review like this and I hope next time will one better, like 2 years ago...

Great pizza as always tryed the Christmas one very nice would go back again staff all friendly and nice my partner had cheese burger pizza and she enjoyed it too

Customers have to wait at reception for staff to assign them tables. Encourage to download their app and order while seated. Staff will bring drinks and tickets if ordered carvery. Food as nice as it always is. Always our favourite place for carvery.

We booked for carvery it was delicious. I had roast beef which was cooked to perfection. Excellent choice of vegetables. Everything was hot. We were served by Becks who was very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return, it was very busy which is always a good sign

Once again, great service with a smile, Victoria was her usual friendly and welcoming self, infact all the staff are. The food is always delicious and fresh, making our evening very enjoyable.

Went in on sunday with 2 of my freinds, we were served by a young man called Harry. He seemed happy to be there and talkative which is always nice. The food was brill, couldnt recommend more.

Good food as ever, stupid busy on a weekend but worth the wait

Thought we would have a pizza instead of the normal carvery.. Ordering on the app was clunky, and the service was slow. After almost an hour wait, the meal came out. Only to find it was only just warm. Guess it had been sat waiting ages for someone to bring it to our table. Very disappointed.

The carvery here today was amazing 👏 can't say as much for the chicken burger as was abit over cooked but other than that 😋, service was great and being able to order on the app made it easier too.

We had a family reunion table booked for 10 the atmosphere was great,very busy but the quality of food was excellent,only one fault was we paid for a dinner to take away for my son a grown man,and the portion was very small,this disappointed me.

Thought we had to wait along time at the carvery, but enjoyed the food. 🤗

Recommend the crispy chicken burger and ask for the Frank's hot sauce. Also, the pizzas are great.

Apple pie was soggy , children screaming everywhere. however service from our waitress Ella was impeccable, accommodating and helpful.

Amazing food at an amazing price, always have the carvery & always leave full and happy! Generally very busy, kids & sweary parents in abundance but just ignore that & tuck in to your dinner!

Went for all you can eat breakfast. Very good quality produce used throughout, with plenty of choice. Could do with a couple more staff as we waited for someone to seat us, then serve us at the bar, then serve food, but not too long. Well worth the wait though.

We regularly visit the Jug & Bottle, our local for a Carvery. The food is always excellent. The serving area is kept clean, the food is hot and the dishes are replaced quickly meaning everything is always available. The venue itself is warm, welcoming and clean. Fiona is a brilliant manager and is always front of house whenever we go. She is always helping the rest of her team clearing tables, serving, showing people to tables etc. Her team are polite, approachable and friendly. There's no wonder this is the best Carvery in our area! Well done, and keep up the good work 👏

We came for breakfast and was quite disappointed. We were the first ones in and ordered on the app as we assumed that would speed things up, obviously not! You’ve got to wait for the server to bring your ticket over so you can go up and get your food, absolutely not show that you’ve paid on your phone. We then had to wait 10 minutes for that ticket. Food wasn’t great, there wasn’t an explanation of what there was, turned out this dirty fries thing that I had was a very very sweet thing and not savoury as expected, quite the shock to the taste buds. Queuing for the food is very unorganised too. Sadly not the experience I’ve previously had there. However, decor was lovely, plenty of parking, tables and chairs comfy.

Since last visit we've been a few times now for a a Sunday Carvery, I was shocked with how busy it was today (Sunday 13th october) There must have been about 50-60 people queuing for the Carvery, however the kitchen team were able to keep up, didn't have to wait for any of the vegetables etc We went for Breakfast, was a great breakfast. Couple of things I want to point out as didn't understand why. Why you had to pay extra for Mushrooms on a breakfast Buffet, what makes them anymore valuable then say sausages or eggs? Would have preferred scrambled egg. The coffee machine wasn't working for lattes/cappo etc so was normal coffee or tea, so we went for Juice. However they do serve fried bread here which was enjoyed. They accept Blue Light Card, just ensure you download the code so they can knock it off the bill

Little disappointed. Booked a table for 10 people for my dad’s birthday. I asked at the end if they could maybe write happy birthday on a place or on his pudding that he ordered. The person serving me went to the kitchen come back and said ‘nah we can’t do that’. Very disappointing.

Had a the carvery, think I got stitched up with the beef with the amount of fat on it, also no loo paper in the disabled toilet.

Lovely cosy place. Great food and at a fair price. Lovely staff who are always friendly, attentive and have a smile. And thank you to Fiona, Pat, Ruth and Tom who usually look after us weekly. Well done guys xx it's always a weekly pleasure with you all xx

First class carvary and good service recomend

Food is good, service is a bit poo, staff have never been smiley or chatty. Breakfast buffet is great and reasonably priced. It’s ‘ok’ but good value

Went for self service breakfast. Good selection, food okay but a bit odd that there's an extra charge for mushrooms! Not a pleasant experience,tables crammed in, kids screaming and running around. Very cramped and dark. Not likely to go again.

Went for breakfast on Saturday morning. Lighting is a little dark and place felt a bit cramped, but food was decent. Though they charge extra for mushrooms, which I thought was really odd? I can understand it more with eggs maybe, or a specific meat or high priced item, but shrooms is weird 😂

Always our first choice for a family meal. Came in last week for 2 carveries, a pizza and a burger and was not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble and the best roast potatoes in the area! Will be back soon, thank you x

My first time to the jug and bottle but it won’t be my last! We had a wonderful breakfast. Delicious. Tons of choice and super quick. Lovely cuppa tea and oat milk available too! It’s such a cosy lovely feel and I liked the look of the pizza ovens so I’ll be back another time to try them out!

You are never disappointed when visiting here. The food is hot and plentiful and of a good quality. There is an extensive menu and enough choice to suit every family member under one roof should it be breakfast, dinner or teatime.

Thanks to Fiona and her staff for another lovely Saturday morning with my family and friends. Great food, excellent coffee, just the perfect start to our weekend xx

Absolutely horrendous went for our anniversary meal with family the tables where all full of empty glasses and food plates that people had left there was at least 15 staff on and two behind the bar the queues where absolutely horrendous if there was an emergency they wouldn’t of got in to attend anyone absolutely over packed and that’s pure greed on the jug and bottle they have a list of what’s on the carvery when you approach the counter but nothing seemed to be on that they was advertising the meat was fatty the mash was powdery and the carrots where frozen and gravy like water and they charge £12 for that I find it absolutely disgusting that they serve such slop and get away with it I’m sure the manager just sees pound signs and forgets the rules to how many people are to occupy the pub at one time safe to say I will not be returning can’t even staff the bar for her over crowded pub disgusting

Great meal tonight, the pizzas are really nice and the dough is thin and crispy just how I like. The carvery looked lovely and it was so busy, it's a very popular place to eat

What can you say.... It had the atmosphere of a miners club on a wet Wednesday. The food to say the best was mundane, devoid of taste and presented with little pride. It really needs a kick up the backside.

Popped in for breakfast on Sunday, it was a little busy but the queue moved really quickly. Lovely, hot food. Was a really nice breakfast.
