We went here last night for a birthday bash. The pub is great and the staff are great to. It's a very welcoming local pub. The land lady is amazing. We had a great night and the live band they had on called The Tuesdays were amazing. Thanks for a fantastic night.

Not somewhere you would go out as a couple! We had one drink and left. No welcoming atmosphere and just generally rough!

Many years ago I used to be a regular visitor to the "George" but unfortunately it went downhill and I found other places to visit. Recently however I was beginning to hear reports that the place had improved, especially the Restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean and it was clear that a big effort had been made to make it a place one would like to visit. The presentation was good, the food was good and the service was good. I am now a regular visitor.

The George Hotel is by far the busiest and nicest pub in Spilsby. It has just been taken over by new landlord Frank and Coral, and they are working very hard to make this a success. Beers are kept well, and a good range of bar meals and snacks are available at lunchtimes and evenings, there is a large function room at the back, and the live band evenings are always very popular and successful, there are bedrooms upstairs for letting, and a pool table and dart board downstairs.... I would definitely recommend to my friends!

Visited twice on sunny Saturday. First visit very busy, several stag and hen do's, very noisy inside and both outdoor areas rammed. However, managed to get served reasonably quickly and 2 large glasses of wine good value. Returned 2 hours later, after checking into hotel. Quieter although still busy, and got a booth at the back of the pub. Ordered 2 chicken jalfrezi curries. Arrived in 15 minutes, good portions, fluffy basmatti rice, naan bread and 2 poppadoms. Arrived hot and very tasty. Excellent value and good service. Tommy's Margaritas to finish, premixed but great value.

Visited on Friday evening and the Tables, carpets, bar and even the staff were all filthy. The place needs a really good deep clean! We left our meals as we couldn’t eat them due to being put off by the uncleanliness of the place. Needs shutting down and refurbing.

We chose the Petwood Hotel as it was close to the Lincolnshire Aviation Hertitage Centre which we were visiting and also because of the link to the Dambusters 617 Squadron. We couldn't have chosen better. The location was excellent and the grounds lovely with some surprising finds. The staff were very nice and helpful. We were in room 315 and yes we could hear the bangs etc. from the kitchen which was a bit annoying but didn't spoil our stay which was for 2 nights. We booked an evening meal for the first night and had the biggest steak and ale pie so beware!! but it was lovely. Breakfast was very nice although the staff were a bit fraught as there had been a wedding the day before so had a lot of guests to serve. The second morning was more peaceful and we could choose off the breakfast menu. We loved looking around the hotel especially the bar which has been left as it was during the war with lots of interesting memorabilia. We would definitely stay here again.
