We went here last night for a birthday bash. The pub is great and the staff are great to. It's a very welcoming local pub. The land lady is amazing. We had a great night and the live band they had on called The Tuesdays were amazing. Thanks for a fantastic night.

Not somewhere you would go out as a couple! We had one drink and left. No welcoming atmosphere and just generally rough!

Many years ago I used to be a regular visitor to the "George" but unfortunately it went downhill and I found other places to visit. Recently however I was beginning to hear reports that the place had improved, especially the Restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean and it was clear that a big effort had been made to make it a place one would like to visit. The presentation was good, the food was good and the service was good. I am now a regular visitor.

The George Hotel is by far the busiest and nicest pub in Spilsby. It has just been taken over by new landlord Frank and Coral, and they are working very hard to make this a success. Beers are kept well, and a good range of bar meals and snacks are available at lunchtimes and evenings, there is a large function room at the back, and the live band evenings are always very popular and successful, there are bedrooms upstairs for letting, and a pool table and dart board downstairs.... I would definitely recommend to my friends!

Charged £19.90 for two burgers. Menu says comes with chips and got only the burgers. My sister who I was with also had no chips and got told she only paid a £5 each for the burgers but her bill was £39.60. They don’t give you a receipt. Probably over charge all the holiday makers

We went to the jug & bottle for the 1st time for breakfast arrived at 10.45, when we got to the servery there was no bacon we was told we could get our breakfast, and go back in ten minutes for the bacon, I declined didn't want my breakfast items separately, we went back in ten minutes still waiting, came out a couple of minutes later, but had ran out of tomatoes & mushrooms, waited again tomatoes came out couple of minutes later. I gave up on the mushrooms, my husband went to refill coffees came back with a sideplate of mushrooms,I was only having bacon egg tomatoes & mushrooms, they kept bringing fried bread & waffles out, although the trays were full, i felt sorry for the server he could only put out what was cooked,we got the impression the cook was cooking very little at a time as breakfast finishes at 11.30,organisation was terrible one guy asked for a refund, when we eventually got our breakfast was lovely although it is really cheap, i expect good service no matter what I pay, but service was lacking, customers were left around waiting, even had to ask for plates to put toast on

We called in for Sunday lunch, bar staff were distracted. They seemed ages before we got served, all the food was over cooked meat dry, veg a mush overcooked couldn't tell the difference between mash or cauliflower cheese, roasties handed with meat barley 2 half roast potatoes, gravy so thick the spoon could stand up on its own, as locals we had wanted to call in but was always too busy, it's not somewhere I would recommend nor use again.

Tucked away between the large venue's across from happy days club but if you do spot it well worth a visit, next door to a chippy. Run by working class folk with a friendly attitude and friendly prices. Our favourite is the Sunday carvery with generous portions and to top it all comes with a pudding included in the price. A good extensive menu at affordable prices for families and couples. Large table's, good seating but what make ginghams our favourite is the helpful friendly staff and atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

An overdue visit on our part as we love this hotel and its history. Afternoon tea was lovely and the staff extremely welcoming.
