This is not just a fish and chip restaurant but much more. The Christmas menu was exceptional. Especially the smoked salmon. We have eaten here twice in January. Once having the Christmas menu and the second time the every day menu. Both times we had a not overly priced lovely 3 course meal with exceptional service in a very clean welcoming restaurant.

Having previously had the cheese salad (mostly iceberg lettuce with grated cheddar on top), I was pleased to see battered halloumi, but alas it's cooked in beef dripping. So I wasn't even having chips either. Cheese, leek and potato pie was the final option (not sure it was a Pukka pie as advertised though), served with a small rather tired jacket potato and nothing else - not great for £9. I guess I'm not their target audience, but won't be taking my family back.

Had Fish and Chips with my mum at the Elite Fish and Chip shop at Tritton Road in Lincoln. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was cooked to perfection, was tasty and delivered in reasonable time.

Absolutely sick of this place dishing out soggy, undercooked batter every time I've been here. The chip portion sizes are the meanest in town. I don't know how they got the awards they did, I really don't :( Not going to waste my time on this place anymore, you've been given enough chances over the years.

Food was excellent, although on the slightly more expensive side once you ordered sides like mushy peas or beans in addition to the mains. Service made up for it though, very engaging, friendly and helpful staff. Would visit again. Not sure whether the hand gel dispenser worked when we went in, so used our own instead.

Final day of “eat out to help out” and decided to try with fingers crossed for a table for 2, late afternoon. Bit of a long shot yet it paid off. Amazingly the staff were able to accommodate us within our time slot. Perfect. The restaurant itself is light. Bright. Clean. Airy. Staff are smiling the whole time. Pleasant. Chatty. Polite. Welcoming. Generally lovely. I had the homemade fishcakes and wow they’re amazing. Fresh. Tasty and hot and by goodness lots of it. My partner had the regular haddock and chips which was so fresh and meaty. No bones in the fish (for me is sooo important) and again the meal was faultless. Will definitely be returning and worth every single penny. Strongly recommend the restaurant and if the food is the same in the takeaway it’s a win win.

Asked if chips were cook in vegetable oil. Yeh-errr so ordered them amongst other items. Arrived after long wait. One taste and I knew they had been cooked in beef dripping, the type of stuff available in the war. Today large variety of vegetable oils easy available. Left the lot. When complained I heard nothing back what so ever. They need to move with the times and be careful not to trip over all their signs littering pavement. If you trip over on them report to council and sue if necessary. Signs Make the place look tacky. Wouldn't visit it again as they seem NOT no health matters.

The restaurant has been open 3 weeks. elite is not new to Lincoln, but this is a new place for them in the Bail.. a lovely open restaurant with friendly staff. We went after a cinema visit, it was 4.30 pm and in between lunch and dinner, so very few in. The menu is varied I went for cod with salad, my friend had the plaice.. the fish was very tasty and enough salad, as usual too many chips on the plate, but they looked good and not greasy, the tartar sauce was homemade, as it should be.. I hope this new uphill fish restaurant does really well.. my friends and I will return in the evening to sample their seafood menu 😊

Cafe is nice, atmosphere is good. Food is nice - standard for what you’d expect at this type of place, and priced about right. Service was ok.

Ordered a Cookie Dough milkshake on a visit back to Lincoln. I last had one here a few years ago and it was really good. The sign outside says they don’t use syrups, and use real ingredients instead.
