Really great! My favourite pub/restaurant in the entire country! I live in Norfolk.

Karl was extremely good at explaining the history of the pub and surroundings. Will be back again amazing drinks too

Lovely pub in a great location with friendly staff

We had a great time here after graduation. Max and all the staff were great and really friendly. Atmosphere 10/10 (or 5/5). Food was delicious, servings were quite big but still tasty. Service was great, wish cutlery was at the table when we arrived but not a big enough issue to deduct stars. Thank you guys :)

Very busy establishment in a beautiful area of Lincoln, bar staff were friendly enough and plenty of seating if you don't mind climbing a few stairs. Didn't have any food but will definitely venture back at a later date to try some.

Food didnt take too long considering it was booked upstairs and a few other tables, food was very tasty The staff were really nice. The music taste in the pub is also excellent

Just popped in for drinks. Great views of castle square. Didn't have food, so I can't comment. Toilets were a little disappointing but not terrible.

A lovely pub in the heart of historic Lincoln with a great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Food served daily hosted by a very pleasant team of staff. Well worth a visit!

Served by Hella who was so friendly and accommodating even though it was busy. We had two dogs and a baby and she really went out of her way to make sure we were sorted, really friendly waitress and a credit to the company. Food was reasonably priced and super tasty.

Had lunchtime menu Fish & Chips with Jam sponge pudding with custard. Really tasty and not a long wait. Good price of £12 from 12pm till 3pm. Ordered at the bar but you can order at the table using a QR code.

Dog friendly with lovely staff. 2 nd day we have eaten here, food was good and they have a good menu from starters to sandwiches, jacket potatoes to main and sm appetite. Good selection of drinks I had a cup of tea today which was perfect

We usually find ourselves up this way with the steampunk gang, and often eat here when round the castle area. We sometimes also eat here on a Wednesday night with the steampunk weekly meet up.

We hall had a wonderful meal, the service was excellent. Three different main courses all were completely finished they were that good. Thank you

Popped in for a light lunch which was lovely the staff on shift Louise and Sharon I think were ever so helpful pleasant. Washed down with a really nice recommendation of a South African sav Blanc by Louise

Centrally located with outdoor street tables as well as a nice cool interior, this is a very nice place to watch Lincoln go by. Food was lovely and service is friendly and quick. A go-to lunch place when visiting.

Great pub, very friendly place. Great location in the Bail Gate next to the Cathedral.It has a local pub feel which is hard to find in a tourest trap. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly especially Holly and Alyssa and Karl. I highly recommend this place to eat . Drink and catch up with friends or family. They also have some great quiz nights. Mon and weds.

Staff are ace, food isn't Michelin Star, but decent pub grub. Constant flow of locals and tourists who are having a nice holiday / city break, keep the place busy with a pleasant atmosphere.

Holly, kerrie are always smiling and can have a joke in fact all the staff are fantastic. come in often after work. Great atmosphere along with great food and beer.

We often go to the quiz night on a Wednesday and it is brilliant fun! The owners and staff are very friendly and it's a beautiful location with the castle and cathedral in view! I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone! 😀🍻

Great pub, regularly pop in here for a decently priced meal. Hella served us this evening, and was a cheerful, friendly soul, even if she did force me to buy two poppadoms.

We go to the pub quiz every week and really enjoy ourselves. Staff are always friendly!

Visited the Magna on a beautiful sunny day, service was quick and hella was very friendly and helpful, as its my favourite the ultimate spicy burger was amazing as always. I always return as its a great place and people. We'll done to the chefs on such a hot day.

Went in a week ago at lunchtime, had the southern fried chicken burger with hash browns , chips and gravy! The most beautiful burger .. and came out and everything was piping hot! Ordered on our phone, got drinks within 5 minutes and food in around 15/20! Great price for a burger and drink on the Tuesday deal - definitely be back !

My friend ordered two prawn salads from the house salads menu. The portion size was very small. The salad resembled a large prawn cocktail in my opinion. Disappointed

Delicious and super friendly staff. Stopped by as a visit to Lincoln made us hungry. Had some drinks and food and they were super yummy. Genuinely impressed by a hot dog just right with all the toppings and thin fries, surprisingly hard to find around the UK. Service was super lovely and friendly -sad I didn't get your name but all smiles and sense of humour. Would love to be back!

We were lucky to find ourselves spending our first ever evening in Lincoln in The Magna Carta enjoying a delicious meal of perfectly cooked steaks. The staff were really welcoming and there was absolutely no problem at all when we told them that one of us was a coeliac. That always earns bonus points. Thank you guys for a great evening.

Fantastic food. Service was 100% from a young girl Hella. Went out of her way to upgrade and to change my meal, whi h I was a pain and just went for what was on the menu. It really makes a difference especially from a young girl these days giving 100% Service, Hella you will go very far. Thank you for a wonderful Monday Evening.

Busý, thriving pub in Lincoln, with excellent views of both Castle and Cathedral, especially from the outside drinking area.

Ordered two cowboy burgers and they was burnt and tasted like charcoal also the starter was the same it came out stale to the point our forks couldn’t go through, the coke cola was nice though

A lovely pub at the top of Steep Hill (and it was steep!) and next to the cathedral you couldn’t get a better location, especially on a sunny day sitting outside listening to a busker. The food was great (fish and chips & pie and chips) and the staff were very welcoming. Would definitely come back!!

Baguette meal. Awful. bone dry, hard, including the hollow chips. I had to put sauce on to moisturise both. my friend had a jacket potato which was OK but for the scarcity of filling. ... Stopped by for a quick drink that turned into lunch . Chose two of the warm baguettes from The sandwiches section of the menu , which were ordered at the bar . Initially were impressed with the atmosphere when we first entered , along with the friendly bar staff . It was dog friendly which is always a plus+, and Baxter was provided with a bowl of fresh water, and some treats. Food was prepared freshly and served in a timely manner , our Host Jay was courteous and friendly whilst serving our food . We enjoyed our lunches, and would return when visiting again .

Went in on game day and service was quick and friendly. Got served quickly despite how busy it was by Hella. Had the cowboy burger and it may be the best burger I've had in Lincoln yet. Slay queen! My boyfriend had the fish and chips 10/10 would come again.

Called in after the Madness concert at the castle... straight to bar.. short wait... and served well. Bar steward knew the order of people queuing... and was superb in attitude, polite and efficient. What a rare thing these days. Ordered drinks... which he showed me the bottle of Morgan Spiced to make sure it was definitely correct... credit where credit is due... superb. 3 spirits.. with coke mixer and a small glass of Shiraz... £20. Not bad for the area. Glasses clean... venue a traditional happy pub... and well worth a visit. Staff make the place. Super attentive... and so friendly. Smiles all round. Thank you.
