Well I just pop in for a coffee an something to eat with the wife and it was not looking good from the start. 1. Totally empty at lunch time 2. Odd smell inside of dirty mop. 3. Cups and saucers where dirty before the drink was spilled and my spoon had a tea stained plus the saucer was chipped. 4. The coffee and cappuccino tasted instant coffee and not freshly brewed. 5. Don’t visit again. I would not recommend the cafe.

Popped into Upper Crust for a cooked breakfast on a wet Thursday. While it was damp and miserable outside it was warm and delicious inside. We had lovely breakfasts of bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans with toast. Utterly delicious and great value. Highly Recommended to anyone wanting a great meal. Thank You!

What a find!!! Great value, top quality food served here. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The portions are generous and all cooked fresh to order. I’ll be back!

Just ordered from here, and got it delivered. The man who gave us our food (the delivery driver) was lovely, but when he gave us our food we didn’t get what we ordered. There was no coffee that my mum asked for so the lovely man went back to fetch it, but as he left we realised there was no egg on the 2 sausage and egg sandwich’s we also ordered. We had just left it at that but I will not be ordering again from here.

Cleanliness and hygiene was questionable. Saw and heard negative behaviour from management towards young staff, could be considered bullying. Awful, very disappointed!!

Have visited this restaurant onseveral occasions for lunch and have always found the food to be of very good quality and at prices to suit the pocket. Service is good and the menu quite extensive and does include cheaper meals for pensioners. Would certainly recommend.

Too many dogs here. Personally I don't like dogs around food. I only had coffee and cake which was very unappetising but my friend had the breakfast which he said was great. Why can't cake be fresh and moist? The staff work hard.

The old faithful Costa. It is the universal meeting spot for anyone coming from outside of Gainsborough! Cheap parking, lovely outside seating area and good reliable drinks. The upstairs is particularly beautiful with its full length glass walls with a view over the fountains and the old marshalls yard buildings. Top tip.... if you're looking for a good spot to watch the reindeer being turned on at Xmas time, get upstairs early as you get a perfect cosy spot to watch the festivities

Two of us ordered steaks. Sirloin wasn't available so we settled for rump. Admittedly we asked for it well done, however I have never had meat as tough. It was so tough we could barely cut it let alone chew it and we left it. Absolutely dreadful! Informed a staff member who said she'd pass it on. So won't be returning
