The Trent Port in West Lindsey

Went for the Sunday carvery and wasn't disappointed. The meats were glorious and had plenty of veg to choose from. Would have been 5 star but my cauliflower was sadly undercooked. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely return.

Just had a Pizza, that was on offer, and thoroughly enjoyed it, a 12 inch pizza and a pint for less than a tenna, real good value. Went at 12.05, most tables already taken, most people were having carvery, which I have had in the past, and that is also excellent, would recommend.

Took my mum and dad today for my dads birthday. The lady serving at the bar was so friendly, however when we went up to get our carvery it was a different story. Mum asked for gammon and beef. The beef which was served to her was part of the end of the joint and didn’t look very nice. We asked the server to change the piece of meat for a nicer slice. He replied, so you don’t want it but you expect me to give it to someone else!!! We were gobsmacked, no, we didn’t expect him to give it to another customer we were just asking for a nice slice of beef, is that really too much of an ask at a carvery.

We had a Brill experience all staff where excellent but the young man on carvery was so lovely with my 8 year old ,my little boy read about the review for a prize and he would really like him to get this , I believe the mans name was elliot at trent port . Thanks elliot from Jacob.

This is our favourite place for a carvery or all you can eat breakfast. Food is always nice and fresh, with wide choice of meat or veg. We always enjoy the food and the service. Shout out to the lady behind the bar Danielle, she is always smiling and always helpful. We cannot recommend this place enough. Nice environment and lovely atmosphere.

Visited for Mother's day. Food was a carvery. It was fresh and delicious. The bar personnel were attentive and efficient without feeling rushed. Waitress personnel were attentive. Asking if we required further drinks, condiments, etc. Good all over experience. Would revisit.

Reasonable food. You get what you pay for but the service is fantastic and the prices are great. Breakfast is not too be missed excellent value.

This is the 3rd time this year we have tried to get breakfast here. Arrived only to find it closed ..again!!!. We have had breakfast here before and it was good. But come on...sort yourself out.. some of us make a 30 mile round trip

I often call in at Trent Port for a carvery. It’s good value, particularly if you use their app for the loyalty benefits. Over the last few weeks, I’ve had a free meal, a drink or a dessert (I’m rather partial to their apple pie and custard). It saves me cooking just for myself, and I feel is better for me than going to one of the fast food outlets. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Visited Trent Port today with my family for mothers day dinner. All the food we ordered looked amazing and well presented, my mother in law and myself had the carvery, the deck looked amazing and karen served us with a smile. To say it was busy the food that was ordered to the table arrived fairly quickly and was enjoyed by all. Fantastic meal out Thankyou team trent

Amazing food, great customer service, lovely little pub on the river Trent. The manager Cat is fabulous and has a great team. There is a euro parking scheme but nothing concerning just enter your reg at the welcome desk, easy as that!! Will definitely be returning to this lovely little find

Popped in today for first time. It was close to ending breakfast but they still said we could have one. No hot drinks. but these are part of the price with free refills. No eggs. No fried bread. No mushrooms or black pudding. Had to pay extra for a tea . 3 of us was all charged full price. Not great really . At least you could of done was only charged 2 of us instead of 3 . Wouldnt recommend

Absolutly loved our evening meal. Jamie greeted us at the front desk and was there throughout. Fantastic carvery service area was nice and clean with good selection of meat and veg. Bar was well stocked and all staff very friendly.

We had the carvery wasn't well with the meats was fatty expect a little bit of that but not most of the way through it pudding was fantastic had chocolate brownie the staff are excellent and polite and friendly and it's in a good location

The place is very basic. Some windows have blown over 2 years ago and they have not been replaced

Disappointed with the service. Ordered at the table. They brought two of the kids meals but not the drinks. When I mentioned the drinks the waitress didn’t look like she knew what I was talking about. The kids were halfway through their meals and still no drinks. Next they brought our tickets for the carvery. Apparently there was a problem with the pump that’s why the drinks were late even though the Pepsis were ready. At no point was I offered an alternative or kept updated. Finished our meals and still no drinks. Got a refund on the drinks. They weren’t very apologetic at all !

5* All Establishments should Address Issues like Trentport Did!!***** As fairly regular visitors we have never really been disappointed until a visit in January. To clarify, this is less about the issues experienced that day but more about the way it was dealt with afterwards! On that visit we ordered our food and compromised on that and then when it came it wasn't at all as it should've been! We returned our food to the servery and asked them to rectify it. However, after 10 minutes I realised no replacements were forthcoming so I approached the staff and enquired as to what was happening as I wasn't entirely sure we had made it clear that we did actually want the meals replacing. We obviously hadn't because we could see the kitchen member responsible behaving in an unprofessional manner when the bar member queried it and when the bar member returned, they apologised and said they would remedy this straight away. However, by this time we had lost the will and opted for a refund. As we left we were really miffed as this was not our usual experience over our years of visiting. So, I submitted a complaint detailing everything. WOW!! What a response! Within 1 hr of my complaint Stonehouse had responded and the Manager called me directly within 24hrs to discuss the issues and confirm that the staff had been spoken to for clarity of the situation. The manager couldn't apologise enough for our poor experience on this occasion and suggested a resolution. We actually felt like we were valued customers after all! We decided this was more than fair and visited again 3 weeks later. I am pleased to say that the visit was spot on and that all parties involved were more than happy with the outcome of our return visit. Needless to say we know it was just a blip, a one off and that our visits have resumed as normal. Except for that one occasion, we have never experienced anything but a warm welcome, friendly service and great food and long may that continue! But a massive thanks to all those concerned for the way this was addressed and resolved- they know who they are!

First time visiting, no explanation of how service works, ordered on the app. Starter came out, but no drink had to ask for it. Was given my carvery ticket and told the pigs in blankets would come ot to the table, but they never did. The serving spoons were too hot to handle burnt my hand, meat was quite nice, veg was bland as hell, needed a ton of salt to rectify. Overall ok as the price kinda made up for it, would be better if the yorkies were home made and the roast pots were actually roasted rather than shown the inside of an oven for one min.

Standards appear to be slipping. Food was dry(fish and chips)and not presented , well, others in party had scampi again not brilliant, then two carvery which we had to wait until another piece of beef was available to carve, about half an hour. Desserts were excellent but had ti ask for main course plated etc to be cleared away. Over all experience below standard. No tissue or towels in toilets. Used to be one of top rated will think again before returning.

Food was good value for money but will not be going back due to the car park is not free if you are eating there and if you do not see the sign it is a £60 pound fine which we got so think it's disgusting to get if you are eating in side the pub

Had 2 carvery’s via. Takeaway on Uber. Both times the cauliflower was underdone. The gravy was tasteless and vegetables woody

I booked a table for 4:30. We was a little early but taken straight to are table. Also was asked if we was happy there and offered us a better table which was really nice of them. We ordered quite quick. The food as always was beautiful. I love this pub. No hassle no stress. Always warm and welcoming

Booked a table and met up with friends for a meal and a catch-up. Unfortunately the carvery had run out of meat. General Manager, Cat, offered an alternative, which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Had a great evening, as usual.

We received a 50% offer on mains through the Stonehouse App, and this offer was available Monday - Thursday. It has been a while since we have been there, so we thought we could give it a go. The place was relatively quiet upon arriving, but this soon changed once it turned 5 pm. The food looked delicious and freshly cooked Turkey, beef, and gammon had been placed alongside a variety of vegetables, including a Yorkshire pudding. You could pay a little extra if you wanted to go large or have pigs in blankets. The standard adult portion was plentiful, and we genuinely did not have room for dessert. I decided to take a carvery as a takeout for my friend, but my voucher wouldn't work, so I assumed it was a 'one time' voucher. I thought I'd just check in with a member of staff to see if this was the case. The lady (I did not take her name) offered me to use her voucher, which I thought was very kind, so thank you for that. Throughout our meal, I noticed the same lady 'checking in' on customers asking if everything was OK. Nothing seemed too much bother for her 😊 See you again soon. Our whole meal (carvery) for 4 adults, including 4 drinks, was £26!! You simply can't get any better bargain. Just be aware to sign your car in, or you'll end up with a parking ticket.

Nothing was great. You could improve on service, we ordered and paid for 2 courses and had to ask for it 30 minutes later. The starter was hot and very nice when it arrived, for main we both had gammon, egg chips and peas, the gammon and peas were dried up having I assume being taken from the carvery.

It was very busy when we arrived and there was no table available, the lady on the front desk was very helpful. Saying we could wait near the bar and she would let us know when a table became vacant. Not long before a table was available. Staff very pleasant and helpful. They were serving Christmas lunches to groups as well as the carveries and pizzas.

Had a carvery hottest thing was the tongs and spoons for for putting your meal on the plate. No desserts run out of nearly everything.

Wow what garbage food, meat was ok but veg is so bad I'm not surprised its eat as much as u want . I couldn't finish my plate completely gross will not be back again

Not a great experience tonight. Next to nothing for the Carvery was available. Wife asked for Fish, none of that either. Child wanted a Ham pizza, no ham. Opted for a Burger instead, far too much grease, chips were rock hard. Hot drinks from a machine felt room temperature at best. Really not great and a complete waste of £45.75 :(

Service was great, friendly staff who worked very hard to ensure that everyone was seated and happy (particularly the lady who serve food for customers). Food was OK - the meat (I had turkey and beef) was cooked well and not dry, Surely visit again😊

We call in regular for breakfast or carvery. On this occasion it was breakfast. I have now received a parking charge for the privilege of parking fir our breakfast. I registered my vehicle number on the consul as asked for by the receptionist. The company is saying I parked without a good reason and lllegally. I will not visit Trent Port again.

I really don't like giving bad reviews. I try to find something good everywhere I go. But I'm struggling with Trent Port. The interior looks tired, staff not particularly welcoming or friendly. We pre booked a table for buffet breakfast at 11 for six of us, I get it's not technically breakfast but if it's advertised as such you expect the food to be available. Unfortunately some foods not available. Had to ask twice for Veg sausage ended up coming out when rest of breakfast was finished. On the plus side Hash Browns were really nice.
