The Trent Port in West Lindsey

A great spot to have a lovely meal, service and staff were lovely and led on a great way by Ryan the manager, recommended to all my family and closest friends. Will pop in again

Barmaid Cat was super lovely and welcoming The bar was clean and We had a Lovely meal which was Great value for money we will be back soon

Food was ok, could have refreshed some of the items, The Trent Port Gainsbrough. We were served by Cat, Service was great with good timing.

This was great place for casual evenings. Friendly staff and menu was standard. I attended a birthday do, they stored the cake for us and lit the cake and brought it to table which was good.

Had table booked knowone about to tell us where table was had to find it myself ordered drinks on the app 25 mins later got then

Kelsey was an amazing member of your team. Very friendly, very helpful. Was a joy to be served by her. She sorted out an issue we had with the food straight away. Thank you for making our meal amazing kelsey .

Great place to dine. Plenty of free parking but make sure you register your car details at the bar.

Lovely food, quick and friendly service.

We often eat at Trent Port due to the really good value of the meals....apart from being charged an extra 50p for a tiny dish of BBQ sauce when ketchup, brown and mayo are free. Carvery is amazing and the staff are very friendly, efficient and polite. On the downside the venue is in need of a good refurb with some seats very shabby with exposed foam, and also the wallpaper is peeling in many places. It won't stop us from going though!

Booked a table at lunch time for myself and my Dad. I was served by Ryan and highly polite. While I was ordering food, the first question Ryan asked me was has myself or my Dad got any allergies. That was great to start, I ordered two meat free carveries and two cokes without ice. Ryan then advised me that the post mix was Pepsi, was I alright with that. I then received my drinks and without ice, most places still put ice in. We then went to the carvery and the plates was nice and hot. The food was hot and looked amazing too. Absolutely fantastic experience and I'll definitely go back, also recommended to friends and family. Big thank you to Ryan and the team x

We’ve been coming a few times as it was on the way through, James and Maddie gave exceptional service despite wait times being a little slow for drinks and food half the time.

Being today for mothers day started bad as table was booked for 5 but only had a table for 4 available , 3 of us had carvery 2 had burgers we got our carvery and had eaten it and the burgers had still not arrived spoke to server who said they would be 5 minutes 20 minutes later still not arrived spoke to server again who said just being plated up when they came one was incorrect both looked like they had been chucked on the plate 2 really thin cheap burgers one slice of bacon half a cheese slice 6 chips no coleslaw, small piece of lettuce and one slice of tomato, grandson couldn't eat his as had sauce on not asked for the other was left as had waited to long,really disappointed as this was a mothers day lunch.

Here for mother's day meal they charged me to four carverys instead of three and then got the order wrong for the desserts bringing rockyroads ice-cream instead of salted caramel even arguing with us. For my son's dessert they didn't give him a spoon for his vegan apple pie. Not happy with the service so giving them one star for service.

Very relaxing and friendly experience. However what made it that touch better was the quality and professionalism in which Madie approach following up our rather later requested pudding perchance and could not apologise enough if she tried , and this is what I found to be professionalism shining though her ,

Visited today for the first time. Was half-expecting something along the lines of Pizza Express – you know, posh pizza, dim lighting, maybe a basil leaf or two. But no – this is a carvery that moonlights as a pizzeria. Or possibly the other way round. Either way, the staff were lovely – properly attentive and helpful, the kind who actually look like they want to be there. Now, the real headline act: the Carvery Calzone. Yes, you read that right – an actual Sunday roast folded into a pizza and baked like it’s totally normal. As soon as I clocked it on the menu, I knew it was destiny. There were other options, of course, but they paled in comparison. My partner, ever the traditionalist, went for the standard carvery (yawn). When it arrived – piping hot, with a pot of gravy and a Yorkshire pud on the side – I knew I was staring at something either genius or madness. Possibly both. Eating it was an experience. Like a pub lunch and an Italian night out had a slightly chaotic but enthusiastic child. Would I have it again? Honestly... yes. Would I come back to a place where the star attraction is a roast dinner crammed into a pizza? Still undecided. But I’ve ticked it off the bucket list, and that counts for something.

I was served by Faye today and the customer service was absolutely outstanding. She was polite, friendly, and served with a genuine smile & a legend, which made the experience even better. My food, a vegetarian option, was cooked by Russ and it was delicious — I really appreciated the care that went into it. Thank you both for making my visit so enjoyable.

Came to your pub for breakfast on Saturday 15 march and headed up with a £60 pound fine for parking it's not good my breakfast cost me £80 for two of us I've been going to that pub for 20 years or more I didn't know anything about this till today it's lovely working all day for nothing so had a bad experience with this pub thanks for fine

Looked after really fast, was traveling for work and it's rare that I stop off. But well worth it, food was hot and flavourfull banter with Ryan kept me going as I was solo this evening.

Came here recently with my partner, has the loveliest time. Ryan looked after us and really made the evening special, we don't get to go out much! Thank you all so much for a great evening! We will be back soon xxx

Trent port Gainsborough Pub. what a con went for a quick drink 52 mins we was in that car park and got fined £100 just called the pub and nothing thay can do so if going to that pub think again they will fine you look at there reviews the pub is probably getting half that money you get fined.

The burgers 🍔 were the texture of carpet underlay. Dry and tasteless. The bacon non existent and cheese a sticky deposit. Tired and worn furniture and fittings especially the light fittings. All the windows were shot with condensation. Toilets horrible too. We won't ever return !!!

Bought a to good to go meal on the app. Was pretty good quality, to my surprise. Selection was great and was still warm when collected. Potatoes where a little dry but having been on display for however long can't really complain especially price paid. Staff friendly and pleasant.

The manager Ryan was very knowledgeable and gave me a fantastic recommendation on what dish to order and what drink paired nicely with this, will definitely be back to see him again

This place like many in the catering sector is lacking lots of investment from staffing levels to the interior it's looking very run down and well ready for a refurbishment. Went for a Carvary but after seeing the bin in the Carvary area over flowing and all the sides where the food is being served looking very messy from spills from other customers napkins all over the floor area and just a low standard of hygiene I had to go to the bar and ask for refund of my carvary meal as I wasnt happy with the food hygiene standards. This is not the staff at fault they was all run off there feet this is a higher management issue and needs fixing ASAP.

Lovely food, well cooked. Service by Faye was excellent.

Had the chicken burger but chicken to to over cooked. Ordered puddings but they all came out at all different times ment 3 out if the 5 of us had already eaten their puddings as the other 2 were still waiting. The chocolate fudge cake had been microwaved far too long so could be eaten as the chocolate was burnt. Definitely wasn't impressed. Save your money and go somewhere better. Wouldn't recommend

Food was fabulous as was our server Maxine, ideal if you like a minimal interaction kind of restaurant, scan a qr code and easy ordering, food and drinks came out in good time, wish hot drinks weren't machine made as this gives a half measure, overall was a really nice visit

Fantastic service from Maxine! Initially was made the wrong pizza but she sorted to straight away, very please with the lovely service! The pepperoni pizza was brilliant! Hot chocolate portion sizes could have been better but understand its machine poured. Atmosphere overall good, some loud children but the ‘seat yourself’ service means you can place yourself in a quieter area of the restaurant if needs be. Thanks for having us :)

I always enjoy a carvery at Trent Port and have no complaints about the food. What needs improving desperately is the environment, the seat i was on had risen and foam poking out of it, the wall had a chunk of plaster missing, the place looks grubby and this is why I wouldn't recommend to others

We attended for a birthday meal, the staff were lovely food was very tasty and good choice, we brought a birthday cake maddie and the other team was amazing singing happy birthday to my mum x

Kirsty was brilliant and sorted all our problems out, she's very wellcoming and is great at customer service 5 stars. The problem is with kelsey behind the bar was awful and I wouldn't give her 1 star if I could. Gave us dirty glasses and had a bad attitude when told about it. Very slow and seemed incompetent but kirsty saved the day

We come in for drinks pretty much every night and we can not fault kirsty she always makes us feel welcome and makes us enjoy our visit she is always kind and nice hearted and does everything she can do go above and beyond for the guests and team well done

Good points. Staff friendly on arrival, carvery was great as usual. Bad points. Was sat in the front lower part, was very cold and radiators ot on, the restaurant needs decorating and the toilets badly need attention, paint and plaster coming off the walls, the doors and paintwork are disgusting, paint rubbed off look like theyve not been cleaned for a very long time. I've put this on my last few visit feedback but nothing has changed

Was a lovely view over the Trent, busy pub, plenty of seating, child friendly, outdoor seating for the summer, staff were attentive, little care worn, very clean toilets, food on the carvery was plentiful and lots of deals, few delays but staff went above and beyond to make us welcome

Like the food and quality is ok to good. The vegetables tend to get dried out a bit under the heat lights. Our plates were not hot, so our meal went cold halfway through eating, which spoiled the overall experience.

Best customer service from Kirsty so polite lovely evening will definitely return she’s been so helpful pizza was delicious for bottomless and she’s an absolute asset to your team will definitely give her a 10/10 she’s the nicest girl ever

We loved our meal out today. The gammon and beef was very tender. There is a variety of veg on and was very tasty.

We went as a family of 4….Very mixed reviews between us. 2 had pizzas that were ok & 2 had burgers.. not so good. The 2 burgers…. both said the burgers tasted & from the texture, that they had been reheated in a microwave & were not enjoyable. They left most of theirs. I also asked a waitress when deciding what to order, if chips came with pizzas … her reply ‘erm I don’t think so’ It’s a while since I’ve been to Trentport.. not sure I’ll rush back.

Came last night for a long over due catch up with friends. Food was great, carvery was fantastic 😋. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly n great with our children. We will definitely be returning. Thank you x

Food was good staff excellent but place is a bit run down

The pub is ok. It would benefit from a refurbishment. When we last went specifically for the carvery as there was an offer on. We were told only the full price menu was available. So a bit disappointing.

Visited on Tuesday 28th January in the evening..staff super helpful and friendly staff especially lady taking order.After a few hit and miss visits food wise was pleased to see freshly made potatoes and vegetables abd thoroughly enjoyed our meal

Called in the other night for dinner when staying over in town and was not disappointed. Staff did tell me they were closing early but plenty of time for dinner. Had a carvery and all nice and hot with plenty of choice. Staff friendly can't compline.

The upholstery on the dining chairs was tired and badly stained to 15 minutes before I told I needed the app. I was sent conformation of my booking but because I hadn't got the your app I didn't receive the barcode, your staff kept repeating I need the barcode I showed the confirmation email and again was asked for the barcode. After asking to speak to the manager and promptly your manager arrived to explain that I needed the app and to download it for the barcode. I feel that you staff on the till should be able to advise me about the app or be able to find my booking via the confirmation email reference.

Absolutely great carvery with a good choice of veg. Service at the tills should perhaps have two people particularly if you are just ordering a drink and have to queue with the food orderers, or vica versa. Having every type of order queuing at the same till leads to significant waiting at times at peak periods, particularly if its a big drinks order. Management should "read the room"

Service from Cat and Poppy was lovely

Dropped in for a drink. Poppy served us with a welcoming smile. Cat came over to us to see if everything was alright. All round nice visit.

I came here with my best friend for an amazing night and I wasn't disappointed kirsty and maddie are both absolutely amazing and will go out of their way to make the customers happy also poppy was really polite overall an amazing experience

A fairly priced eatery. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. The staff are usually helpful, parking it great etc. Certainly worth popping in if you are passing and hungry.

Just had a lovely Sunday Carvery here, can't fault it at all.

Food mostly good if you get there early. Staff are friendly. The chairs are filthy and need burning and replacing. The whole place needs a good clean and decorating. You stated in a post 4 months ago that "you were awaiting a date for a little work to be done in the restaurant to get it looking nice and fresh again". Obviously you are still awaiting that date?

Had 2 carvery’s via. Takeaway on Uber. Both times the cauliflower was underdone. The gravy was tasteless and vegetables woody

Excellent service from "Poppy" once we'd navigated the app.

We had our family Christmas party tonight and WOW it was amazing. We put a pre order in from the festive menu and all the food rolled out on time. Thank you to James for doing a fantastic job. Even though it was busy he kept that ship sailing. Thank you to the kitchen staff: Paige, Elliott and Pete for serving us delicious food. Poppy for our drinks and Kelsey on the floor. James really was the front runner tonight, he kept everything moving smoothly and we couldn't fault a thing. Thank you Trent Port for having us. We even had time to our secret santa, a pub quiz and a sing song. 5 stars weren't enough for today, so here are a couple more **

I dont like to moan,and will give any place a chance, xmas cavery meat was ok, the rest absolutely pants, service terrible.pizza was shocking bad,un cooked, i took home a desert doggy bag. I dont say this lightly, worst restaurant experience so far

We went to Trent Port for a Christmas dinner/to celebrate my grandparents’ wedding anniversary. The whole team (in particular Kirsty) went above and beyond to make our meal extra special. The food was fabulous and the excellent service made everything even better. They catered for my mum, who is gluten free - they even had an amazing gluten free chocolate fudge cake, so she was even able to have a proper dessert. They also had gluten free gravy too. The meal was also excellent value for money, which is incredible considering the service and the way they catered for different dietary requirements. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening - we’ll be back again very soon!

Kirsty is without doubt the most kindest and efficient person we have ever met, she goes beyond her role of duty to make sure your visit at Trent Port is perfect, and that’s what it exactly was, the food is superb! And it wasn’t a small measure, I have eaten in the top restaurants of the world, and this Christmas dinner was the very best, the soup was stunning, the main meal and carvery was incredible, and my apple pie and custard was the best I have ever had. I have now put Trent Port at the top of my restaurant list, and placed Kirsty as the very best I have met in service, her kindness, and friendliness is fantastic, thank you Trent Port, and thank you Kirsty from the bottom of my heart.

Terrible food. First time visiting. Tried to use the app with discount and it crashed, had to order at the bar and was refused discount. So had to pay full price..This was a family of 7 people. Burgers were questionable as to meat content. We all had Burgers and no one ate them all. Very poor quality food. Ice cream was yellow and tasted very strange.Definitely do not recommend and will never return to eat.

We booked a pizza making party for our daughter’s birthday party with a small group of friends. The service, from initially booking up to the party, was fantastic. Kirsty, our host, was friendly (and very patient!) The set up was great and all the kids had a fantastic time rolling out and making their pizzas in a private area of the bar. Such good value for money and great quality food (the unlimited ice cream was a bonus!!)
