A very badly presented Costa indeed, this surprises me as I use the Brand quite a lot and this is far from the norm. This one is dirty, rundown and badly in need of a refurb. This is no reflection on the Staff as the are friendly l, welcoming and efficient. On first approach to the Branch I thought that it was derelict. Wouldn't visit again until sorted. Please note that there is WiFi available at this or Louth Branches

Popped into Costa when passing through Horncastle. Was served by a great young lady called Lottie, despite her not feeling well she did a great job with a smile and chat, also made the best frappe I've had from Costa. We will be visiting again when next in the area. Keep up the good work Lottie 😊😊 and thank you x

My second home! ALWAYS greeted with a smile and all the staff are very efficient and lovely! A big shout out to Maddie, Becca, Harri & Emma….you are all the best, and truly appreciated.

The place is filthy, there was no soap in the lavatory and the hand air dryer wasn't working. The chairs were stained and dirty, the table we sat at was dirty (the place was virtually empty so it wasn't as if the staff were run off their feet), the paintwork is chipped and in desperate need of cleaning and repainting. The crockery even looked dirty. Whoever manages the place should be ashamed. One to be avoided.

Great place, always greeted with a warm welcome. Always happy with quality of drinks/food and staff work really hard. Happy to recommend

Had a lovely coffee and vegan bap. Great service and table service at that. Thankyou even a goodbye have a nice day when leaving.

I always come in every Friday afternoon and I love the feeling of coming in and sitting upstairs to be able to finish off my college work before getting the bus home! The staff are always lovely and the place is mostly clean. Sometimes i do have to move a tray of dirty cups/plates in order to sit down but staff soon come and move this! The toilets could do with having a bit of a clean mid day as they are always looking a bit dirty when i come in. Overall I love coming here and it really helps me to unwind after a stressful week at college

Popped in for a quick coffee. Stood for just over 10 minutes. The staff need some training. No sign of a manager. People in the queue all complaining.. Feel sorry for the staff. They had no idea 😕.

Visited at midday on a Sunday. Very cold inside. Door kept open due to a cracked door window. The last chocolate hot cross bun was tasteless and not fresh. The coffees and flapjack were fine. The toilet water in the sink trickled out and the hand drier didn't operate. Hygiene was poor. Even though a member of staff said she would increase the heating the small cafe remained cold. This establishment felt in need of TLC

Two pleasant people serving .very slowly...6 of us waiting in the queue, ..filling up the Marshmello jar was more urgent than serving patiently waiting customers... I observed that it took 10 minutes to do a gentleman before us 3 coffee's ..3 people were sat downstairs...we decided to go upstairs and found it empty with uncleansed tables...with crumbs on seats and floors.. better. staff training required and more staff?... On a positive sandwich and coffees were great .

Called into Costa in Horncastle for a late lunch (about 3pm). The fridge section of Pennines etc was empty. They advised not had a delivery so had nothing. We ordered our drinks and 2 muffins to eat in. We were told to take a seat and they would bring them over. We waited & waited. We watched alady, a couple and another guy came in and they all got served. Our drinks just sat there. We waited 15 mins then asked if they had forgotten us. The girl who served us said she thought our drinks had been taken to us … they were right under her nose! Couldn’t miss them. They would be cold so we asked for our money back and left. Worse service we’ve ever had in a Costa. Will not be going back there.

Have visited many times , but after today will not return . Sat up stairs , had to clear a table to sit at . Dirty pots left on many tables Two members of staff looked at the items , one just walked past with her own drink . The other one did manage to take ONE tray .Unbelievable that nobody came to move these pots . AND AT LEAST SANITISE THE TABLES . THE SEATS WERE DIRTY ALSO .COSTA NEED TO GET THERE STAFF TRAINED ,AND AT LEAST LOOK INTERESTED IN THE JOB

First ever bad cup of coffee at a Costas, with Flat white weak and tasteless. Several tables upstairs left uncleared, let alone cleaned/sanitised. Altogether disappointing.

I come here regularly and cannot fault the place nor the staff! Always friendly, and great coffee! A big thank you to Zoe, Hannah, Alice for always making me feel so welcome, and a big welcome to new girl Maddie who is as awesome as the rest of the team! Keep up the great work girls!

We visit Costa hot castle about 5 times a week we are addicted to costa coffee always found the service to be very friendly can be skittle slow when busy but not in a rush much nicer now we can sit in , thanks to all the staff during these times of uncertainty

Popped in to get a takeaway coffee and the staff were great. Both were friendly and were kind to my little girl as we ordered the drinks.

I am happy with my Costa coffee I find everything is very clean and the staff are very welcoming. Great place to meet up with friends. My daughter lives abroad but never can wait to get her hands on a Costa coffee :)

I recently visited this costa driving through on my way to Skegness and was horrified over hearing 2 members of staff one called Zoe and the other with brown hair planning to smoke and take drugs. They were swearing joking and laughing and being crude. This is not the type of place I will be visiting again with staff like this I hope you address this issue promptly.

Called in for a coffee and cake this afternoon, they weren’t at all busy, 2 girls serving one putting glasses away one messing with coffee machine. We stood at counter for 2/3 minutes waiting to be served and girl continued to put glasses/cups away so we walked out. Never to return. Costa, train your staff!!

I visited Horncastle briefly, and as I work in another costa store, I thought I’d pop in and see what it’s like, and received amazing customer service, I believe there were people training at the time, but our drinks were perfect and were delivered right to our table! The upstairs was very clean and quiet, and it’s a beautiful store, Thankyou for your hospitality, and we will visit again

We received a friendly welcome in this relatively new Costa Coffee which is literally 'open all hours'. Despite local opposition from some businesses, the lovely and hard-working staff at Costa show that customer demand still exists for excellent customer service and barrista style coffee. As usual with Costa, there is a massive range of speciality teas as well as the huge range of fantastic coffees, chocolate and milkshakes, and of course loyalty points too! This Costa Coffee is a wonderful addition to this small market town. Very clean, friendly and professional staff, accessible and more affordable than some coffee houses in the town.

I have been here twice, and to many Costas elsewhere - this one needs to pull its socks up in order to reach their level.First time (Nov 2019) the cappuccino was barely tepid - I took it back and the server asked me if i wanted it extra hot - I replied that I'd just like it " normal hot", and she said it already was!Second time (Jan 2020) it was welcoming and friendly,and the drink and cake were good. However, I had to return to the counter to request a knife and napkin. One of the staff was adjusting chairs when cleaning tables, and scraped each one across the floor. The grating sound was unnecessary and irritating. The place still isn't quite right. Step into the building makes access difficult for disabled people.

we meet for coffee and a meeting. The Coffee was good and the atmosphere was good, plenty of seating both upstairs and down. The Staff were pleasant and ti was very clean and comfortable.

I was really impressed with the new costa in Horncastle. Good coffee and lovely cakes lovely attentive staff ... I know the locals don’t really accept chains but I’m a London gal so I’ve really appreciated you here! Also your trading hours are fab!

Went to the cafe a couple of days ago. We had a coffee and a smoothie. It was lovely. Staff made us feel welcome and it was lovely service. Not expensive either. Would strongly recommend.

Staff trained at the Basil Fawlty school of charm and customer service. We were robustly ignored for a few mins, then told that they were out of a) skimmed milk and b) choc for cappuccinos. Feeling vaguely reminiscent of a "Come Fly With Me" sketch, we then found that the oven was turned off, 1.5 hrs before closing time - rendering the fridge full of toasties for display purposes only. The entire upper floor was also closed off (a regular occurrence with no apparent justification other than staff simply can't be arsed to clean it) , offering lucky customers the choice of sitting downstairs by an open kitchen door, complete with "Greek wedding" soundtrack, the toilets (everybody's favourite ambiance) or fighting for a grubby window seat with a screaming child. If this sounds like your dream way to spend £10 then you'll be in heaven. Buon Appetit! (or maybe not).

Often stop here when in Horncastle for a cup of coffee and sometimes a snack. Staff always smiley and polite.

I sit in there every day after work to read my book and I cannot fault the hospitality shown to me by the staff who offer me no end of great service, despite not always buying a drink they always make me feel welcome and well cared for. Always polite and friendly service and even though they are only two members of staff on at a time I cannot fault the time they spend to keep ontop of things with there hard work!!!

Sun was out, so was the motorbike. Stopped off in Horncastle for some light refreshments. Costa is just next to the car park. So we went in

The worst mocha I’ve ever tasted in Costa, could you spare the chocolate. Definitely not recommended and I totally understand why your cafe was empty, I’ve seen more atmosphere in a morgue

I went here yesterday because I'm local and I thought why not try it. I wasn't disappointed, staff were lovely with my daughter. Coffee was wonderful and not overpriced. My little girl had a hot chocolate. She loved it. We're going back next week when we go shopping. Perfect location too.

Went in Saturday afternoon at 2pm, one member of staff serving and the other one having her break, (sat in the shop at a table). every other table downstairs and up was full of dirty pots, obviously not enough staff to run it properly, it was a disgrace, had to clear a table to have our coffee. This is a newly opened shop, would of expected better than that. Not be recommending to friends .

Only two members of staff up front and one kept having to run backwards and forwards to the kitchen. They had run out of cream, points machine not working, contactless not working. Staff trying their best but not enough resources! And it wasn’t even particularly busy. Plenty of spare tables.

Visited here with my husband this afternoon. Love Costa and sadly was disappointed with this new shop.

We always opt for Costa. They are always clean and offer a good service. Always our choice for hot drinks. Friendly and helpful staff.

I first visited this Costa with my daughter for an after school treat. We were aware that it had recently opened so we’re excited to see a shiny new coffee shop - sadly it was not a treat, more an ordeal.
