After ordering lunch, it took nearly 30 minutes to be served. The quality of the food was poor and it was thought that the rice provided with the meal was not freshly cooked. The meat in the dish was very dry and difficult to cut. Not a very good meal. When asked what we thought of the meal, the "Server/bar tender did not seem concerned and had to be prompted very directly to offer an apology asking what did I think he should do about it. A small reduction in the bill total was offered but it hardly made up for the poor quality of the food and the length of time it took to be served.

No words can describe how fantastic this pub is, this has become our regular and we have no faults! food is fantastic, we have started doing the bottomless gin afternoon tea ,again fantastic, great supply of Gin well looked after, cakes to die for! Highly recommend! Staff are fantastic and very welcoming! Location of the pub is great, sit in the comfort of the country pub or down by the river overlooking fields. Highly recommend this pub :)

The staff bent over backwards to help us out with our booking of 30 people for my daughters 18th birthday celebrations, food was perfect and was brought out in next to no time after ordering it… I can highly recommend this pub for a friendly atmosphere and great food

We were on holiday with friends and had dinner here twice. If the score was out of ten, I'd give it seven. Food was variable: 'chicken etna' and sea bass were excellent, fish and chips less so. Staff were polite and professional but not what you would call 'friendly'. Service times were good.

We’re so happy to have rediscovered The Copper Beech! It’s our local pub, but we hadn’t been visiting much over the past year — until recently, when it came under new ownership. It’s now run by the previous bar manager and his wife, and they’ve truly given it a new lease of life. As a family, they’re incredibly welcoming. They always take the time to chat, and if you’re a regular, they even remember your usual drink — such a lovely touch! We’ve eaten here a few times since they returned, and the food has massively improved. Everything is freshly cooked, and it’s great to see thoughtful options for those who want to eat a bit lighter — the salads are actually delicious, not just a handful of leaves and croutons! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. On sunny days, the garden is a real hidden gem — perfect for relaxing with some food and a drink. The Sunday pub quiz is loads of fun too, with a great local crowd. We’re absolutely thrilled to have caring owners back at the helm and a local pub we genuinely want to visit. Wishing you all the success — we can’t wait to come back for a roast soon!

Firstly, I'd like to say that the rest of my party were more than happy with the food, it's a lovely ambience and the staff are very helpful and look after you from start to finish. There was a selection of Sunday roasts, beef, pork and what I went for which was 'chicken supreme'. Now I always thought chicken supreme had a rich creamy sauce, this had a very nice gravy, but no sauce, I gather they call it that because it's a supreme piece of chicken. The Yorkshire pudding was a bit chewy and one of my roast potatoes was hard. The rest of the vegetables were very nice, 4 of us shared a tray. The standard size roast lunch was £16.50, we asked for the sweet menu which ranged from £8-£10. The place was full and I didn't see or hear anyone complain so maybe it's me.

Not much from the outside, but a good feel inside with an old country pub vib. Very good selection of beers and wines with a good atmosphere. It was steak Thursday which was very reasonable and the the food was very good. This gets very busy, but you can’t book as one number link doesn’t go through and another link went to a Fish and Chip shops, who apparently get calls al, the time!

Not very impressed! Lots of food but not great quality. Fish goujons for starters - square fish fingers. Chicken and prawns for main - chicken breast topped with bacon, SHRIMPS, mushrooms and cheese. Rather dry and not very imaginative. Asked for herby potatoes instead of chips, they were basically small, square chips! Not expensive, so can't moan too much - but it did not live up to its local reputation. Had to wait absolutely ages between starters and main course.

Seeing as my review was removed I will try again! Stay away. I went to the so called “quiz night” and it was awful. You would have found a better atmosphere in a morgue. Hardly any there, no music, vile smell and it was dirty. I use to frequent the pub before lockdown and it was fantastic. It has apparently changed hands since and not for the better. I will definitely not be going back. The smell and filth were enough to put me off my beer let alone dreary feel to the place. Very sad to say that I will not be recommending a once lovely pub

We really like it here usually, however the service was terrible! Floor was filthy with food all over it and after telling the staff they left it for a further 30/40 mins! Waited for drinks and the bill always had to ask for further drinks too wasn’t attentive at all which I feel when you spend close to £250 for a meal for 4 you’d expect that! Maybe an off night but won’t be going back anytime soon! The food was great though! But the two should go hand in hand
