Surprisingly good throughout the Hotel

Decent brunch type place with a good variety of options. Kindly swapped out plum tomatoes for beans, so that’s a plus. Food was tasty.

We were staying down the road at the Queens head, walked down the village and popped in here for a drink, what a great friendly little pub, Brian the landlord and his mum Linda, made us very welcome, we felt like part of the local community, we enjoyed so much we went back several times during our 2 night stay, and much preferred it to the Queens head. So disappointed . I ordered 2 slices of toast for my grandson. One slice only came out which was bad enough but it must have been stale bread because I nearly broke a tooth trying a bit . I banged it on the plate and thought I was going to crack it . I took it back and the second piece was brought out softer , different bread but looks of it but it had zero colour just warm bread . Again I told the same member of staff and all he said was yeah blame the toaster !! Shocking . Below is a photo of my replacement toast

We visited this pub tonight as we live about 30 mins away and wanted to try somewhere new. We weren’t disappointed at all. The pub was really cosy, the staff efficient and incredibly polite and the food was outstanding. Huge portions which arrived quickly, everything was hot and freshly prepared. The menu is huge and we struggled to decide what to have but we got excellent value for money and we will be back to try more of the menu.
