Disappointed with this visit for a family get together for a meal and drinks. Very poor service throughout- had to repeatedly ask for service to order the meals and drinks. We sat near the bar and could see staff standing around but not serving clients. Two of us ordered a kebab meal off the special menu and were very unhappy with the quality of the food. Spoke to bar manager and this was removed from our bill which was good, however it left 2 of us eating much less and coming away hungry- not great after a ‘meal out’ This pub is 5 minutes walk away from my house. I’ve visited 3 times in the last few months, choosing different meals each time. I’ve been disappointed by each visit with the quality of food, but yesterday the service and food was very poor. I will not be visiting again for a meal until I hear the meals and service has improved

Sorry, I know Koo gets a lot of good reviews but unfortunately our first experience wasn't the best. It took ages for our food to come. I had the American pancakes with bacon,. unfortunately the bacon just tasted of grease, and I love steaky bacon. Others said their food could have been warmer. Two of us ordered second cups of coffee which never arrived yet were added to the bill. Service was very slow too. The waitress cleared most of our plates except for two. And it wasn't busy, there were a few empty tables and a lot of staff. Sadly, we won't be returning.

A perfect afternoon tea experience spent with friends and family at Rushton Hall, it’s my 1st time and will surely visit this venue again - the staff were friendly and very helpful, special mention to Jade who served us and Wey who was a delight to meet as she is very courteous and professional in her approach to the clients, I left feeling welcomed by highly trained staff at this venue 👏🏻👏🏻well done-hope to visit again Danielle 🤩

Afternoon tea disappointment. Terrible service throughout our afternoon. It was meant to be special occasion for us , unfortunately it was ruined by waiting staff who couldn't care less. Every time we wanted to order something my husband had to get up go to the bar and ask. We waited for 30 min sitting at our table and nobody came in to take our order . Shocking behavior for such a lovely place. Food was good but really do not recommend this place .We expected something really nice ( even McDonald's will bring you food to the table ) .

Breakfast par excellence! Mum and myself went for breakfast today. It was cooked with care (eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine). The poached eggs were just right and beautifully presented. Worth a big mention is the friendly and efficient serving staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

Revisited after glorious Christmas dining experience. Once again, the service, food and atmosphere were quite superb. Took my friend, a celebrity chef to sample their culinary delights. Both of us very happy with the halibut in a superb sauce. Great value for money. Impeccable service. A dining delight. Once again, many thanks from both of us. Looking forward to my next visit in October.

We visited this pub two nights in a row when staying in Shardlow on our narrowboat. We met up with friends for drinks one night and a meal on the second night. We were pleased with the choice of ales and the three dogs we had between us were made welcome, plenty of room for them to lie down. The food was nice and it was a pleasant pub to spend time in. Two things though spoilt the experience, one was that the toilets on the second night smelt horrendous, as if someone had been seriously ill in there, I was heaving and couldn’t stay a second longer to even wash my hands (I noticed a pump-out lorry came the day after so maybe their septic tank was full). The other thing was that their website says they shut at 11 on a Monday and yet we were ‘encouraged to leave’ at 10 and the member of staff on duty said he ‘usually likes to leave at 9.30 on a Monday’. Please update your website with the current times, it is really frustrating when pub opening times aren’t up to date, it seems to be a regular occurrence everywhere we go!

Wonderful Sunday Lunch, very friendly carvery chef. Lovely choice of well cooked local meat. Plenty of veg to choose from, personally cannot fault The INN for Sunday lunch. Does get busy however I think this is a good sign!! Looking forward to next week already.

Nice local village hotel/pub. Several dining areas of different sizes. We ate in the main bar area, which had a cosy feel with an enormous fireplace. Small but interesting lunch menu with some unusual options e.g. bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno peppers (which were delicious). Seafood pasta was excellent. Loved the petit four as a dessert option with a coffee for afters. Delicious small sweet mouthfuls rather than a full sized dessert. Local beers on tap as well. Would definitely return. Highly Recommended.

We decided to try an Italian themed evening by a guest chef. The starters arrived quickly but tasted like they had been kept warm for some time. The main course eventually came after over 40 minutes and two of the dishes were below average. The shocking food coupled with the very loud music served as a reminder to avoid this establishment in future.

Really disappointing. We visited yesterday for the first time. A couple and two dogs. Wanted to walk the dogs then go in for lunch. Parked the car and walked to see a fence with a sign clearly saying no public access. Went to reception and a note saying to go to the bar. Went to the bar and no one serving. Waited. So eventually come out to my partner and dogs who was talking to another couple with a dog.m who were also trying to find how to walk around the lake. My partner torn went off to talk to the man fixing his car who said to ask at the bar. He was not very welcoming either was the lady bringing him a drink so my partner wanted to leave. but I perceived and went back to the bar to be welcomed by three very polite young staff who informed me to walk past the no admission sign. So we walked around the beautiful lake and returned for some food. There was one table eating and a group outside on the terrace. Maybe 20 in total and we were told they weren’t serving any more people. So we went to stoney cove down the Road fantastic service and lovely food.
