Another lovely meal at The Royal Oak, our go to place for family meals. Richard and the staff were brilliant at managing the special diet needs within our party. Nothing was too much trouble.

A great place for families and groups of adults, old and young alike. Good service, clean and nice busy atmosphere without being too noisy.

Nice place to bring the children when they are bored. Fenced in area so they are safe. Plenty of small planes and helicopters for them to watch.

Love this place, especially for Sunday lunch. Good selection of beers, wine, etc.

First time we've eaten here in three years. Very much improved food and service. We'll definitely be back very soon.

Excellent service and great food at a fair price. The new (ish) owners are doing a really good job, and the beer is well kept.

Travelled to meet friends at the Autumn beer festival. Found the place starting to fill up, got a seat with a good view of the television, so we could watch the England v Australia Rugby match. The place filled up towards the start of the game, which gave it a great atmosphere. The beers on the beer festival were not to our liking, so reverted to beers from the bar.

I was very impressed with this establishment the first few times I visited, the overall presentation and quality is fantastic. However the first two times were only for drinks. On the third time we decided to eat; unfotunately the food was really bad. The chips and burgers were both ice cold, the burger was served on a rock hard bun and was inedible. Really surprising... I mentioned this to others that had visited and they had the exact same experience. Something is not right. Maybe in time they will figure it out but at the moment I can not recommend, unless you go for drinks and eat elsewhere.

Had a buffet here for my mum's wake as it was so convenient for Wilford Hill. Can't praise them enough as everything was so great and they made us very welcome. My friend took some photos and ornaments the day before and they were happy to arrange them in the function area for us. They really helped make a difficult day very easy. Thankyou so much.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be. The roast was still of a pretty good standard but it used to be exceptional. I wouldn’t rush to visit again.
