Fantastic fish and chips and all served by great friendly staff. Will definitely use again when in Nottingham.

Wow couldn't wait to get your money and get you straight out of the door. Asked for 3 different orders 1 being battered sausage and chips for my 11 year old not even a full try of chips with the sausage didn't ask for a child's meal but certainly got one .wasn't just our orders that's was short on chips but watching other people coming out of the chip shop they all had like one scoop of chips certainly not worth it when that alone cost you £5 on its own ,try it and you will see what I mean very disgusting really to say how much we paid would be cheaper to go macdonalds with all our orders to say how much we all paid and portion size (we not greedy) just to get value for money would of been nice,certainly not that here

The chips were far too greasy and undercooked. The chicken burger was absolutely horrible, reformed chicken, stale cob.

This was the worst fish and chips lve had in years, never go here again

fish is cooked well and chips are properly cooked and delicious. Both Chicken and Donner kebabs are really good. Delivered hot too which is really good and rare as tried other food delivery's previously and never seem very warm. Great food and delivered hot. Thank you

Food was greasy and nan bread tasted a little burnt. food not hot but just about edible. Neither I nor my wife did not Finnish our food. spent £43 and was very disappointed. will not use again.

One of the best Chippy's I've had in Nottingham. Actually tasted like proper Chippy chips. My partner ordered the 12 inch mixed meat box and it was HUGE. Tasted amazing

food is very tasty but came late, cold and everything was covered up with gravure as cup wasn't closed

At the lunch break in the cricket with Notts clinging on 68-6, we decided to cheer ourselves up and have a chippy lunch. And very glad we did too. Our fish was cooked to order the chips were lovely and the generous portion was superb. Super friendly service and a most impressive lunch. Much better than the cricket as well...

One portion was open and looked like half a portion compared to the other. I ordered 2 chips doner meat. One was half gone and loose wrapper. It went in the bin

I love this place. Live in Lincoln but go to Nottingham for football. ALWAYS go before a match and have done for over 30 years. Only place I ever get fish and chips. Food fantastic and staff are lovely. Very highly recommended

Food was the not the best which is such a shame. My kids used their pocket money for this and it was cold. The burgers were burnt. Not good at all.

I am very disappointed in the chicken goujons well they are like children’s chicken nuggets from McDonald’s and for just one cost me £1.10 this is disgusting bearing in mind the chicken nuggets in the menu are 6 for 4.00

Disappointed with kebab. Last order and review was 10/10. Chips we undercooked. Kebab meat plasticky tough and chewy. Must have changed source. Sauce was same as usually (mild chilli) which is really good. Hope they improve their kebab meat.

Don't order from this place. Had orders that have been sent out wrong' potato fritter burger when I asked for chicken burgers, then today I was tucking into my chips mushy peas and gravy to come across to 3 dirty black hairs in it. Phoned to complain and all the stupid women said was phone just eat and get your money back, not I'm so sorry my colleague rubbed his head in ur food. Very rude people have no manners.They take the mick. Better get my money back........

Poor. I ordered chips, battered sausage and curry sauce but received chips, kebab and gravy. I rang the chip shop immediately but instead of just offering to send out the correct order which is what I would have expected them to do, they asked me to request a refund on Just Eat then reorder. When I tried to request a refund on the website, the cost of the missing items was added as a credit on my account - I didn't receive a full refund; which means if I'd placed a new order I'd have had to pay again for delivery, service charge, bag charge and the new portion of chips. So I didn't bother and I just ate the chips - they weren't very good - undercooked. Won't order from here again.

Was sent a piece of ‘battered’ fish that looked like it had swam to my house in oil. The batter was dark, thin and almost chewy. Even my dog turned her nose up at it. Will not be using again.

Probably one of the best chippy teas we have had in a very long time!!

A trusty, old reliable chippy that does great food and at excellent value! The selection choice is good and the staff are always very friendly. It’s the only place we go in West Bridgford for our chippy nights because Bridgford Fish Bar does the best chips!

Good food you get what you pay for

Large fish and chips ordered, literally 15 pieces chips were in the box £11 !! The portion is too small.

The fish i had delivered tonight was supposed to be large. If the fish is large ....im the Pope!! Absolute joke! It's the smallest fish i've ever had from any fish n chip shop anywhere. £7.50 for that ?? The chips are supposed to be a "regular".....every other Fish n Chip shop even the "Small" chips are bigger than this Never order again!! It's clearly gone downhill since the last fantastic owners left.

Went to the restaurant section on a football match day. The queue was well organised and we didn't have to wait long. Excellent meal and good service. Pleasing to note how dry and fresh the chips were.

Just had a fabulous lunch before an afternoon at The Hundred. Lovely fresh food, massive portions and amazing staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Was in the area for a weekend and came across this great chippy, the young man serving was really helpful and friendly, the homemade fishcakes were the best i had tasted! It was all very good.. wish they had chippys like that where i come from!!! Would 100% recommend.

We’ve been going in here for years pre match at Forest but recently the prices have gone up a ridiculous amount so we’ve found elsewhere for our pre match meal.

The fish was so raw it was still swimming in the ocean utterly disgusting! The chips had roots most decent thing of the meal was the bog standard curry sauce!

Went to the match at Trent Bridge. Popped into Bridgford Fish Bar, fantastic service and very good food. Would highly recommend. Value for money.

From my experience from purchasing fish and chips this evening... The cashier lady was quite dismissive and rude to me. Also.... The fish was so over fried! It nearly chewed my teeth out!! Also the chips were so soggy they were drenched in oil! Beware!

We have used this Chippy a fair few times in the last few weeks, after many many years of not very good fish and chips this place is amazing , restored our faith in proper fish and chips , excellent .

Phoned ahead on a Saturday evening and ordered two small fish, large chips and mushy peas. Drove to collect. Food was already prepared. Friendly banter (whilst waiting behind another customer) which was nice to see given the current state of the world at the moment! The fish was beautiful, perfect size for one and it flaked away with the fork and the chips were perfectly cooked. Only cost £10.40 which was a bargain. Social distancing in place and everyone wore masks. It’s our local chippy and we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I don't eat Doner Kebabs and Fish & Chips on a regular basis but when I do get the craving this is my go to place. The food never fails to please and the staff and owner are always pleasant and welcoming. The fish is always fresh and served with a crispy batter and comes with a copious quantity of exceptional chips. However their Doner is the best I've eaten in Nottingham served with a good selection of salad in a perfectly grilled pitta. Doner perfection!

What a great spot! Not your average take away - really good value for money and the food tastes great. The staff are friendly and put that little bit of extra effort in to make every experience a good one.

As a regular to this excellent chip shop I just felt it necessary after having my usual large fish chips & peas to share with everyone how superb the food is, always to high standard lovely fish. Thanks & the staff are great too! Support your chippys there can’t be one better!

Been coming to this chip shop for years. Friendly staff, top notch food and reasonable prices! I would suggest you come here first if you have the option, as you won't be disappointed. It even has a restaurant section if you have a group and you want to sit down.

Absolutely beautiful fish and chips and brilliant service

I've been going here before Forest games for over 20 years. They have a spacious room at the back to sit in but it fills up quickly. Most people are getting takeaway and they do all the food you'd expect. Excellent fish and chips and fantastic chicken kebab meat and chips too. Oh and quality mushy peas. What a place.

Good food, reasonable price. Vegetarian options. And the gravy is all veggie friendly.

Unfortunately the chips were under cooked. I did ask the owner to take his time and make sure it was cooked properly. There was no one else in the shop. So he was only cooking my fish (to order, which were his words) and my chips.

Sadly disappointed in the food hygiene rating but the staff were really friendly and they allowed me to sit down and eat inside. The quality of the food was good and the place did look very clean so I don't understand the rating which is why it only got 3 stars. I was the only person sitting down in the restaurant area so I think it has some unused potential

Right across the road from the cricket ground. We used to take sandwiches but the fish and chips are so good we always get them from here for our lunch !
