The best restaurants serving British food in North West Leicestershire East Midlands

We had a festive catchup with friends on 16th December. Lovely time. Chris looked after us so well, perfect host and everything was lovely. Brunch was delicious, recommend the open sandwiches. We look forward to visiting again with friends. All the best with the refurb and heres to XII being a huge success. Merry Christmas 🎄

Just finished a lovely Sunday lunch with our extended family. All were very happy with the very good food. New takes on old favourites. The service was exceptionally good.

This pub is above average for chain food. It has a good selection of unusual food which I can't fault. If you like your beer then this is a poor place for drinking. It has very generic beers carlsberg etc ,pretty much all lagers, and two poor quality ciders ( strongbow). It looks like they used to have more ales but the pumps are blank. Its a shame as other green king pubs I have been to have a great selection of ales.

Lovely coffee shop with really great menu options. They switch up the menu fairly often and the flavour options are always really unique. Great interior and exterior, friendly staff & good coffee!

Needed quick food after driving up from Wales for family emergency. Got told about this place so tried it out. Was surprised when they offered me fish and chips for £5 of course I'd accept that Well I was expecting a small piece of fish for that price!! How wrong was I the fish was longer than the plate and they chucked in an extra fish to split between 2 of us so for £10 we had 3 fish and 2 portions of chips . I only gave a review of 4 because the fish was soaked in oil and was overcooked not flakey I would go again though

Not been in for a while and the new Landlord has redecorated the whole pub. Pub was fresh and the team were friendly, food was hot and tasty and the beer was crisp Definitely be back

We had a fantastic stay, free parking is always a bonus, we had a full breakfast which was order at the table, a great choice of food for every dietary need, the food was cooked fresh and was delicious. We will definitely choose to eat here again.

Lovely stay, the hotel room was clean and comfortable but could have benefited from a bit of TLC. The food in the restaurant was great, generous portions and beautifully cooked and presented. We chose to have a cooked breakfast in the morning and it was excellent value for money and perfectly cooked. Service from all members of staff was friendly and very good. We were made to feel very welcome.

Excellent food. Very good Gluten Free menu. Very knowledgeable about GF - always confirmed what was being served. Nice Steak Pie as well

Nice clean country pub friendly people

Visited each of the 3 nights we were staying at the Hambleton Lakeside Lodges. Good selection of beers - especially my favourite Timothy Taylor Landlord 😋. Very friendly bar staff, happy to talk, and a good sense of humour. Didn't have the chance to sample the food.

I ordered a drink but the waiter judged me that I drank too much even tho I have naturally red and sensitive skin and refunded it however I didn't receive the refund. And not only that the waiter was very rude about it.
