We had a festive catchup with friends on 16th December. Lovely time. Chris looked after us so well, perfect host and everything was lovely. Brunch was delicious, recommend the open sandwiches. We look forward to visiting again with friends. All the best with the refurb and heres to XII being a huge success. Merry Christmas 🎄

1. Booking a table- they unapologetically didn’t respond to my email or phone calls to try and book. We had to go in person so I’m not sure why they have the option to book online. 2. Arrival- got a lot of attitude on arrival. We were regrettably 18 minutes late but we were told they’d already taken all the extra chairs away and that they were waiting to hear from us. Not sure why because they hadn’t asked for any more info from us. 3. The drinks- the drinks were as expected but the pricing was not as sold. The online and bar menu both detail that there is a deal on Thursdays which is not available in December and a happy hour 2-4-1 deal every day at 5pm with no exceptions listed. Yet we couldn’t have 2-4-1 so this is just omitted on the menus by choice and completely misleading. Not coming back!

Prior to my booking I was told that the area I had booked seated 11 even though I only booked for 9. I walked in for my pre booked table of 9 and was after enquiring where my table was sat I was met with an extremely rude employee who expressed that we were over 30 minutes late (we were 18 minutes late). He then proceeded to say that the individual who had booked the table was meant to ‘get back to him’ and he assumed we weren’t coming so had put the chairs away. I myself being the individual who booked the appointment, knew this was a lie as I’d phone multiple times to confirm the time of booking after the confirmation email stated the booking was for 8:45 not 5pm. The area we were shown did in fact not seat 11 and barely seated 6, he then brought the chairs down that he had allegedly put away due to our tardiness. The website clearly stated that 2 for 1 cocktails were on offer but after inspecting the menu in the bar and asking staff we were informed it didn’t apply to December, which isn’t stated on the website. Overall extremely poor experience, wouldn’t give them the steam of my piss in future.

I visited the vine as part of a big group on a Christmas night out. The food was lovely, the staff were all friendly, and we all had a lovely time, would definitely visit again.

I had the slow cooked beef served with a good selection of vegetables, everything was hot and beautifully cooked, the beef just melted in your mouth. My husband had the rump steak cooked to his specification served with chunky chips vine tomatoes, mushrooms and onion rings. The service was exceptional, very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant and If in the area again would revisit.

Excellent service, food and ambiance

My friend and I booked a bottomless brunch as a birthday treat. Cannot recommend enough! It was great value at £30, we had 3 bottles of prosecco between us in our 90 minute slot. The food was excellent, really well presented and prepared to perfection. I had smoked salmon with smashed avocado then steak and eggs. I'm usually reticent about ordering steak out as many places overdo it, but mine was cooked exactly the way I like it. Chris was an entertaining and friendly host, very attentive and looked after us like we were VIPs! The restaurant is nicely decorated, clean and spacious. We will definitely be going back soon.

I came here with my mum and sister for a bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday. The service was really great, we were looked after by Chris who was very attentive and fun. We all raved about the food too and the price we paid for a starter and main plus our bottomless prosecco was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Quality food and very good pleasant t service .

There’s not many places you can guarantee consistency of meals, drinks, and service, but the Vine consists delivers. This is our 3rd time partaking in their bottomless brunch offer and each time the food was top notch, the Prosecco keeps flowing and Chris and his team ensure you feel welcomed. Well worth a visit 👍👍👍

Service not great to begin, waitress didn't return to take our order for ages, forgot a drink but improved later on when a lovely waiter was very attentive. We were delighted to see a 3 option non alcoholic mocktail menu but disappointed that 2 out of the 3 were unavailable?? Disappointment continued when the shared chocolate dessert was also unavailable when we came to order it. It was incredibly loud in the venue and we could hardly hear eachother talk which spoilt our girls meal out and defeated the object of our get together to catch up. A shame because the food was good.

We attended as a fairly large group of 20 as a leaving party and did the bottomless brunch. Chris and the team were fab. Food, service and drinks were amazing. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you for making sure our wonderful friend had a great send off. Can’t wait to come back again.

We booked The Vine for a Hen Party on Saturday 29th July for 32 people .Upon prior to everyone arriving I went down to The Vine to set up the tables etc ,I was greeting by Megan who showed me to the restaurant to see if I liked the way that had set it up , it was absolutely fine I just asked for a couple of adjustments nothing major - just the tables to be a little bit more closer together, which she said was absolutely no problem. When everyone started to arrive we were greeting straight away with friendly faces who couldn’t do enough for us . The food was second to none, and came out altogether and was piping hot , it was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were really generous too. As it was for a large party we pre- ordered our food , from a 2 course set menu they had given us , which had plenty of choice for Starters , Mains and Deserts , that suited both meat and plant based options (This is what we asked for) A couple of people in the party are really fussy eaters but they didn’t complain about it and accommodated us accordingly. All in all the service, food and the decor was just amazing , and a credit to Davood and his team for making the Bride to Be’s day amazing .The cocktails were also amazing We will definitely return , maybe not such as a large group next time.

We decided at the last minute to try The Vine and we were not disappointed, I phoned ahead and Chris managed to find us a table, the restaurant was very busy but Chris was very attentive, he has a great sense of humour. Our meal’s were amazing (I forgot to take a photo) and our dessert was Devine. There was a great cocktail menu too, I can’t wait to go back and sample one or two. Thank you Chris for the great service, you now have regular customers we will be back very soon.

Friendly attentive service and great food at a reasonable price. The menu was very varied and interesting. Our party of six made different food choices and we all enjoyed our meals. When good quality food at a sensible price is hard to find, we found the Vine Restaurant to be exceptional. We will certainly be visiting again.

We had the best experience- food was very tasty and arrived quickly, cocktail menu had many choices and all presented beautifully. Chris provided an amazing service, haven't laughed so much in a long time!!! Definitely will be back in the future.

Me and my sister went to the vine on the 16th of June for dinner. The food and cocktails were amazing and the service was the best. Chris, our server, was so helpful and was a lot of fun with us. Would definetly recommend it for a fun evening out with delicious food and drinks. 10/10

Visited for a surprise birthday bottomless brunch on Saturday. Food and drink were superb as was the service. We were kept topped-up with prosecco and orange juice. We stayed for cocktails afterwards which were delicious. Back next weekend for lunch!

Decided to try this place having read the reviews. Went on Saturday which just so happened to be serving their Valentines menu. We arrived a little early and it was busy so we went into the bar to have a drink. I had a red wine which was served in a very old fashioned crystal style glass. We eventually got seated at a table which looked like an outdoor table (marble looking but made of plastic). To start we chose the Camembert to share - it arrived with slices of bell pepper, cucumbers and bread stick you buy from a supermarket and serve at kids parties. We asked for some bread which was a separate dish and expense and got triangular wedges of bread served with olive oil and balsamic and a bowl of green and black olives (stones in tact - thanks for not warning us, we almost broke our teeth) For our mains, I had the peri chicken with home made coleslaw and paprika fries. The peri sauce tasted straight out of a jar and wasn’t hot at all. The coleslaw was served in a small paper sauce pot along with another containing mayonnaise. The fries were soggy and had been peppered with paprika powder. My other half had a rack of lamb which was mostly fat and over cooked and gravy that was served after he has started his meal. We decided to give dessert a try and opted for the Baileys crème brûlée - this didn’t taste of baileys but did taste of burnt sugar however I’m not sure how they managed to burn it because most of it was still crystallised. The service was poor, forgotten drinks orders, no spoons served with dessert and given we booked the table for 7:30pm we didn’t eat for over an hour. The pub/food is trying to be something it’s not this is not sophisticated it is like the kind of food you would serve to children. Locally sourced food would suggest freshly cooked ingredients but it definitely tasted and looked like food purchased from a supermarket. I would not recommend eating here and will not eat here again.

The system shouldnt allow bookings from 9pm onwards, Sorry again, Andy’ So I phoned them Thursday to find out what was happening, the lovely lady on the phone was very helpful and told me she could get our booking in at 6.30pm instead, she even double checked with another member off staff and took a £40 deposit. A few hours later, she phoned me to say she can’t get our booking in, she spoke to my wife as I wasn’t available. I phoned back to see what the problem was, and I got the manager, he said he couldn’t get our booking in at all that evening, so I asked what he was willing to do about it, he said all he could do was apologise, so I asked if he could offer us any discount as an apology, after a long heated conversation, he said he could offer a discount if he chose to but after I ‘demanded’ it, he didn’t want to offer any?! So he ended up putting the phone down on me?! I’m having to wait 10-14 days for a refund! Terrible customer service from management, which really surprised me, I understand mistakes happen, but twice for one booking is not acceptable. We are left without a venue for our works Christmas night out.

The service was amazing….. however they have a cocktail menus and no iras how to make them…… Their cosmopolitan tasted like bubble gum with very little alcohols content, as for the other cocktails we tried, they were even worse. The food…….., Not good, frozen fish cakes and burnt and hard burger buns, my partner had chicken that you could tell was cooked in a microwave as the sauce was vile. This is not the place to go for cocktails and food, total shame, all round…… sorry
