Four of us went for dinner on Saturday night and we had a great welcome from the staff who were all really friendly. We had drinks in the bar and then went through to the restaurant. The starters were delicious as were the mains, we all had steak which were all cooked exactly how we wanted them. The brandy peppercorn sauce was delicious and it was served with homemade crispy chips. The desserts were also homemade and delicious. We found it unpretentious and very friendly. The service was great and we felt it was good value for money. Many thanks for a lovely evening.

We arrived early to sit on a bench for 45 minutes whilst the previous occupants of our scheduled table sat and talked for nearly an hour after their departure time. As a result, we ended up on a table which was inadequate for our group size and all had to sit against walls, or in the passage of staff fetching/carrying food and only had the ability to partially place our feet under the table. We made the staff aware that we were unhappy and they shrugged this off and said they were unable to help. This was a pre-booked table to celebrate a joint birthday and we feel that our seating fell well below standard on this occasion, so much so, that we were as quick as we could eating our mains and left without puddings which we had intended to treat ourselves to! The food was ok, however, having said that, the plate was swamped in gravy which appeared to disguise the lack of beef as I had only two very small pieces. I do not think I shall be rebooking which is a shame, as the atmosphere and surroundings appeared promising on arrival

I have worked at DHL at the Airport for more than 15 years, I've always been aware of where Breedon was, but I am ashamed to say today was the 1st time I have ever been in the Three Horseshoes. It is safe to say I will not be leaving it another 15 years before I go in again. This beautiful place is simply put a little hidden gem in the heart of the village. The food was amazing, the staff were better. My family and I had a wonderful time and so much so one of the staff Julie got a well deserved Maisie-sized hug. I loved the quaintness of this place, especially the "Secret Garden" at the bag of the building. When I had my steak it was one of those moments where you just close your eyes and savour. The kids loved the great choice of puddings (Maisie will be tucking into her chocs tomorrow). The bill was a bit big but when the food is this good and a place is as warm and welcoming as this place is, you dont mind the bill. I had one thought in my head when i was leaving this place, "I wonder how soon before I'm back and I'd love to see what this place is like at Christmas time". Note-to-self, I do need to make sure I call beforehand to book a table, luckily the wonderful people were easily able to accommodate us.

First time back in a few years and happy to say the experience was just as good our previous visits. The building it self is old and the inside complements it nicely and has some quirky decrative items. The staff were lovely and attentive and had a good sense of humour. We all had (4of us) starters and mains which were lovely, no complaints from any of us. I was the only one greedy enough to go for a dessert, I picked the sticky toffee pudding with custard and it was devine. Drinks were fine, good choice of well kept beers and a good wine list. I would have no hesitation in recommending the place and will definitely be back when next in that neck of the woods.

Nice welcoming coal fire. Not a very large menu and the choice of starters was disappointing. Main course came out with whatever meat you had chosen smothered in thick gravy - why couldn’t they put it in a jug, not everyone likes their roast meat swimming. However the beef was nicely pink and a good portion. Variety of vegetables. Desserts were all very heavy, a panacotta or something similar would have been a lighter choice. A very nice bottle of Pinot noir. Overall value for money. Table was very sticky, not because it was dirty but the varnish needed replacing.

Regulars I felt were served first and there were no menus on the tables, you had to look on the walls across other people drinking which is rather rude. There is a restroom, parking and outside seating for summer days. As a little bit of history there is a small historical village jail across from the pub which is worth a look at

The Priest House has so much potential. Its location is lovely, situated by a river and the buildings are lovely. However, this is a very tired hotel, both inside and out. The exterior paint is peeling, the outdoor communal areas around The Cottage where we stayed were so dirty and unkempt and the exterior of this building was grubby too. The room was at least clean and plenty roomy, but the radiator was on full blast and it was a 23° sunny day. It couldn’t be turned down or off. The service in the restaurant was very slow and the food overpriced for the tiny portions. The constant drone all night of the aircraft flying into East Midlands airport was very noisy. It’s all a bit of a shame, as this place has bags of potential. Sadly, we wouldn’t come back again.

Sadly going down hill. Staff are less than eager to serve, coffee is poor and the furniture is looking tired. The layout of the tables also makes it difficult to navigate. The whole pub needs an injection of enthusiasm.
