Excellent 5* service as always here with great value and choices of food. Brilliant work by Kirsty the chef and Ella our server.

Went for dinner with kids. Great food, nice atmosphere and Amy is always great. She seems to lead by example and morale is great. It shows with most staff at Charnwood Arms and their service.

Barratt hired the Charnwood Arms Function room for an event and we were thoroughly looked after by Jackie and the team. Everything ran smoothly with regards to the set up of the room, refreshments, room layout etc and everyone was helpful, friendly and lovely to deal with. We will definitely be returning for more events in the future, thank you!

Debbie was great and patient with us (we had to swap a few items on the breakfast menu, so wasn’t very simple!). Food is fab, cheap and cheerful.

Jackie was very friendly and welcoming. Doing a sterling job of welcoming, taking orders, waitressing. Only minor grumble, maybe we were just being thick but didn't grasp that you order coffee at the bar, so we "stole"some cups from a table already laid up. The computer system needs improving as both Jackie and the lady on check in last night struggled to get it to work. Great value breakfast thanks.

The Charnwood Arms is a spacious establishment where we had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely eat here again as a parent of a family of 4 with 2 young children.

Great value tasty food and friendly staff, much improved since the recent refurbishment. However the carpark is an accident waiting to happen. The potholed carpark and stream of HGVs around a family pub is a wholly ill conceived idea.

Food was amazing our two year old also thought the same . Exceptional service could not do enough for us one in particular very well mannered and professional in his role we managed to get his name Patricio !! He went above and beyond for our little family and to make my little girl happy when they didn’t have any colouring pencils in . She was very impressed with the pudding he brought out for her . I ordered my evening meal through the app which for a start was a good process and easy to do. It was when the drink arrived it started. I asked for a pint of blackcurrant cordial with ice in still water form my online order. Instead they brought me a Caprisun apple and blackcurrant drink in a tiny packet! I felt I was being cheated so I told a staff member and he rectified the issue. The drink was ok but had no ice and it tasted odd sort of like paint thinner sort of sharpness. The staff were so busy though to do much…. The main meal came and it was ok but the portions were not looking very inviting and it was quite an underwhelming set of food. The Salmon was ok but dry and a bit lost with the fried peppers and dressings. The dessert came which was The Horseshoe Homer. I was absolutely gobsmacked to receive this very dessert because at another restaurant I ordered this very dessert and was told that the company that produced it doesn’t supply anymore and the company in question had ceased trading! So I was over moon to try this unique desert and it was ok. During the whole process though from receiving my main meal to finally getting to east took 20 minutes, because there was no knife and forks to collect. It took three requests to three different staff members to get some cutlery whilst my meal was getting pretty cold… Not good overall.
