Had Sunday lunch. Food was beautifully cooked, no frills just a good honest value for money lunch. We ate everything, superb . Hosts very friendly and accommodating. We will be back.

Unfortunately this has now closed, and is a home. SAD to say as was a fantastic tea room. I believe it has been closed for a year or so and property was sold.

Qué encantador pub tradicional con una gran bienvenida amable. La cerveza Buttcomes bien vale la pena probar, yo tenía la pinta 5 G, muy bueno. Todos teníamos comida que era muy buena comida tradicional. Totalmente recomiendo mirar el pub.

Lovely home cooked food, well worth a visit. Highly recommended. Excellent sunday lunches as well as weekdays, closed saturday.

The first time I came here I was impressed … and the second time. Yesterday I arranged to meet two sets of friends and two different times. This was to see if there might be an improvement on my last experience of dry and unrecognisable as cake, lemon cake. Sadly this will have been my last visit. I had some of the worst food I have been served in a very long time. Dry pancakes which tasted so badly of baking powder, and which had barely a dribble of honey on them. All I can say is the fruit was edible. Then later a lunch of chicken and halloumi wraps which may as well have been wrapped in cardboard. The fact that food was not eaten on both occasions didn’t prompt a question if all was ok, I was then asked if I wanted a loyalty card which I took for the irony, and as my lunch companion said, there wasn’t even any eye contact. My last visit as I have no idea what had happened to this place over the past few months!

Nice ruralpub. Good drinks, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Would go again if I am in the area

the pub is lovely realy old world charm staff very helpful and welcoming the food was good but the veg were so hard it was inpossible to eat them I dont like my vegetable soggy but do expect them to cook them this di spoil the experience I would have rice if I went againwhich is doubtful

Después de escuchar lo buena que era la comida nos quedamos muy decepcionados con nuestro sobreprecio frío almuerzo de domingo. Pedimos y esperamos 45 minutos cuando llegó que solo estaba caliente, luego esperamos otros 10 minutos para que llegara la verdura sobre cocida y el queso de coliflor insípido... vinieron sin cucharas, así que otra espera hasta que salieron. Podríamos molestarnos en quejarnos en el momento en que teníamos hambre / hambre! Estaba oscuro en la habitación y la casera encendió las luces cuando se le preguntó. Ella no era la persona más amigable dado su papel... tal vez estaba cansada. No volvería No recomendaría

Bottomless brunch and outer christmas party have been awesome.Nothing to.much trouble ,food is just quality and beautiful. Drinks fab ,gorgeous setting ,well.done guysxx

What a disappointment went with a friend for breakfast we booked a table as we know it gets busy on a Saturday. We order toast with a oat milk Mocha. The Mocha tasted like dishwater No flavor to it definitely did not have much of the way of chocolates in it asked the lady if she could add some more chocolates which she did reluctantly telling us will it was with oat milk we alway have oat milk Mocha when we go out so know when ones not right. We then ate our toast to have the plates whipped away the moment the last mouthful want in . As we sat and talk and finished our coffee the place was busy but not full the moment we'd put the cups down they were whipped away to and the next thing we know the guy was standing there with the card machine wanting us to pay and be gone. Now I get it's Saturday and that it does get busy but like I said before there were tables empty and we won't even asked if we'd like anything else. Needless to say we won't be going back

Been down today for a Sunday dinner and it was so good, beef was cooked to perfection as was the vegetables and sides. Service is friendly and prompt. Definitely we will come again and if you’ve not been you are missing out

Called in on off chance for Sunday lunch , with our dogs highly recommended although menu was took away pretty fast not scrutinised sides , & had ask xtra carrots which was glady given , lunch itself absolutely beatiful beef exceptional & nice see from english stock , sure visit again when visit area again .setting lovely & exceptionally clean standards , staff friendly. Thank you .
