Had Sunday lunch. Food was beautifully cooked, no frills just a good honest value for money lunch. We ate everything, superb . Hosts very friendly and accommodating. We will be back.

Unfortunately this has now closed, and is a home. SAD to say as was a fantastic tea room. I believe it has been closed for a year or so and property was sold.

Qué encantador pub tradicional con una gran bienvenida amable. La cerveza Buttcomes bien vale la pena probar, yo tenía la pinta 5 G, muy bueno. Todos teníamos comida que era muy buena comida tradicional. Totalmente recomiendo mirar el pub.

Stayed for 3 nights & enjoyed their Excellent Brekkie. Loads of choice of cereal, Strawberries plus a variety of cooked. I had the Large Full English & Mrs B had the Small Full English, with Brown Toast. More toast if wanted with Jams & Marmite, plus Yogurts, & served with Lovely Coffee (or Tea) & Orange Juice. An Excellent way to start the day.

My husband brought me to the Black Swan for a special Valentines dinner and the food was so good that we booked to bring family members here for a birthday meal. Although our guests have all lived in the Newark area for many years they had never heard of The Black Swan, but they were all full of praise for the wonderful food and the welcoming staff.

The first time I came here I was impressed … and the second time. Yesterday I arranged to meet two sets of friends and two different times. This was to see if there might be an improvement on my last experience of dry and unrecognisable as cake, lemon cake. Sadly this will have been my last visit. I had some of the worst food I have been served in a very long time. Dry pancakes which tasted so badly of baking powder, and which had barely a dribble of honey on them. All I can say is the fruit was edible. Then later a lunch of chicken and halloumi wraps which may as well have been wrapped in cardboard. The fact that food was not eaten on both occasions didn’t prompt a question if all was ok, I was then asked if I wanted a loyalty card which I took for the irony, and as my lunch companion said, there wasn’t even any eye contact. My last visit as I have no idea what had happened to this place over the past few months!

What a disappointment went with a friend for breakfast we booked a table as we know it gets busy on a Saturday. We order toast with a oat milk Mocha. The Mocha tasted like dishwater No flavor to it definitely did not have much of the way of chocolates in it asked the lady if she could add some more chocolates which she did reluctantly telling us will it was with oat milk we alway have oat milk Mocha when we go out so know when ones not right. We then ate our toast to have the plates whipped away the moment the last mouthful want in . As we sat and talk and finished our coffee the place was busy but not full the moment we'd put the cups down they were whipped away to and the next thing we know the guy was standing there with the card machine wanting us to pay and be gone. Now I get it's Saturday and that it does get busy but like I said before there were tables empty and we won't even asked if we'd like anything else. Needless to say we won't be going back

We’ve eaten here a few times now, mainly with our two young granddaughters. The service has always been extremely friendly and the food lovely. Good varied menu. They always went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, especially towards the girls. Very highly recommended, we shall definitely return

Went with a few mates, staff were lovely and friendly. The food was lovely, I live in cramlington just outside Newcastle, I will definitely go again next time I'm in Woodhall Spa, hopefully soon.

the pub is lovely realy old world charm staff very helpful and welcoming the food was good but the veg were so hard it was inpossible to eat them I dont like my vegetable soggy but do expect them to cook them this di spoil the experience I would have rice if I went againwhich is doubtful

El pub se ve increíble, muy bien decorado con un ambiente acogedor y acogedor. Teníamos pizza, patatas fritas y algunas aceitunas y pan, todo estaba fresco y delicioso. Jay y Georgia eran anfitriones fantásticos, tan amables y hicieron que todos se sintieran como en casa. Un ambiente tan encantador por todas partes — no puedo esperar a volver!

Booked the ‘Yard Venue’ for my daughter’s wedding and the support from Hollie and her staff was fantastic - from the first discussions about what the venue could offer, through planning and to the day itself. The guests ALL commented on how amazing the space was and how good the food was!

Been down today for a Sunday dinner and it was so good, beef was cooked to perfection as was the vegetables and sides. Service is friendly and prompt. Definitely we will come again and if you’ve not been you are missing out
