Booked a last minute Sunday lunch and was not disappointed! It was so fresh and tasty - not the normal bulk cooked offerings you get in some places. Meat was beautifully cooked and the gravy was delicious! Generous portions and well worth the money. I can honestly say that it was the best roast dinner I have eaten in a pub or restaurant for years! Service was quick and friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back! Came for our works Christmas party End of November 2024. We hired the barn and had a lovely buffet, food was lovely and service was excellent. The hand carved ham was delicious. Lovely hotel to stay in. Really central and the food is fantastic! Best rack of ribs I've ever had - and I've had a few! Quirky decoration in the bedrooms aswell - different to other standard hotels

The service was absolutely shocking. Due to the place being ‘busy’ my friend and I were unable to order our meals for us each and our partners, together. We asked for some sides first and mains after. The food was brought out in a random order, and 20 minutes apart meaning that we couldn’t eat together. The service was appalling throughout the evening. Like something out of Fawlty Towers. When made aware, the manager took almost a week to respond to my feedback. £6 for a point of bang average beer in Sleaford is daylight robbery. Go to The Solo or Tablez, much better. They know how to run a bar / restaurant properly.

Had a works leaving do here and it was brilliant with a brilliant vibe. The food was excellent , ad was the service in getting all of us fed so quickly and easily. Thoroughly recommend you try it, whether as a group or a small table. We sat outside and it’s so much fun.

We stayed for dinner and overnight. Owners and all the staff were lovely. Great room, amazing breakfast and a lovely outdoor area with music and a wonderful decor. A bit of a treasure in Sleaford. Dinner in the evening was great, good choice of beers too. All in all a great stay!

Booked the restaurant for a surprise 40th birthday party, such an easy booking experience with Hollie arranging the hire, the food and sorting out the decorations. We had the pizza buffet which went down a treat! We love it at the Watergate, all of our friends and family loved it, the music, the decor and the vibe is all 5 star. Thank you so much.

Amazing food, fabulous ambience and very vibey experience. Loved the eclectic quirky decor and how welcomed you feel as soon as you arrive. Just wished we had found this at the start of our holiday, rather than the end. Little tip - the portions are very large!

I can say we booked for a meal just me and my partner and were really happy with the atmosphere and the food was above expectations thank you for a lovely evening we had the burgers and were absolutely stuffed great prices for the portions and weren’t bugged whilst eating but were asked if we were ok and if the food was alright and if we needed anymore drinks, really lovely service and food cooked to perfection, the outside dining was comfortable and quirky Thank you again We aren’t from the area we were visiting family and your restaurant was recommended I’m glad we booked and had a really good experience

Quirky place for drinks but food was very poor. The burrito was a wrap of white rice with some salad out of a bag, no dressing. Sorry I’d not recommend this place for food.

We had lunch here. The food was average. Service was good. We’d booked a table inside, due to unpredictable weather, so we’re surprised to find that our table was outside 🤔. Fortunately, it was almost empty, so we were able to choose an alternative table inside.

Hands down best place in Sleaford for food and drinks. Great selection of Gin and decent Lagers, not just the standard Fosters etc you see in most pubs. I’ve visited watergate a few times in the past as we live nearby but I’ve only ever had drinks and a couple small plates before. We had family visiting and fancied something a little bit nice for food and so I booked here after checking the menu and reviews. I’m vegetarian and I’m used to only having a couple options on the menu to choose from, especially at the moment when most places have very reduced menus. There was almost too much choice for me here!! I wish I could have ordered and tried every veggie option there was to offer! The rest of the group ordered enough small plates for a small army and I chose the halloumi burger. Everything was absolutely amazing and we had no complaints at all. The staff were lovely and checked on us a few times throughout our stay to make sure we had drinks and if the food was ok for us. It costs a little more than your average pub to eat here, but that’s because it’s just so damn good! Worth every penny. The building and outside look absolutely amazing too, especially now the outside is covered. You can tell the owners really love the place. 100% will be coming back :)

Totally amazing food with excellent waitress service. The Very attentive staff and the spectacular setting, makes this one of my most favourite places to eat in Sleaford. The food was to die for! The steak was succulent and cooked perfectly, the BBQ burger was outstanding and super tasty, the burrito was enormous and the flavour was truly awesome, finally the small plates, chicken strips, halloumi fries and small chipped potatoes with a cheese fondue sauce, was out of this world. Thank you to everyone in the watergate for a brilliant experience guys.

This place never disappoints,we visited Wednesday evening it was so busy but still efficient and top notch food well done all! It’s beginning to be our regular pub we love the interior and the lovely little court yard keep up the good work watergate yard.

We visited as a family of 4 with 2 small children. The food was great and even though there was no children’s menu the children enjoyed sharing the pancakes with bacon and syrup. We also ordered the burrito with chicken (delicious and a massive portion) and the burger (which my husband very much enjoyed). It was quite busy due the the 50% off deal, but service was very good, waiting staff friendly and everything very COVID friendly too. We were visiting whilst on holiday so it was a great find for us and I would definitely recommend.

Watergate yard is my favourite place to eat in town the food is phenomenal and they do food that no other palce in town does. My partner about a month AGO and i had the sharer's break fast and and it came with pancakes as well .It was food heaven.The atmosphere in there is fantastic the staff are very attentive and service is top notch :) Ryan and Hollie are wonderful warm and caring sociable people and they make you feel very welcome . i went in there yesterday 26 /8/20 and ad steak and chips followed by a yard sundae .i was having a bad day and the food and staff and atmosphere really cheereed me up .The Blankeys have worked so hard to make this wonderful gem that itis well done everyone :) and they use local produce as well which is fab :) Ryan and Holly won a Best business award 2019 with the sleaford town awards and well deserved guys .
