Four of us for Sunday lunch today and it was just lovely! Food was delicious and plenty of it. Gorgeous puddings and very friendly and attentive service. We are very lucky to have such a great pub near to us! It's a family favourite.

Excellent lunch buffet for a wake for a relatives funeral. Very kind and considerate from booking to payment. 2nd wake we have organised there and would really recommend. Good amount of food, hot and tasty.

I got a pint earlier around 12-1 o’clock had 2 pints then I went home for abit and came back brought another pint and the manager was so disrespectful she refusing to serve me after I’ve had this pint bare in mind I’ve only had 1 since I came back the second time and she won’t serve me no more I Havant done anything at all

The veggie options are clearly labeled and delicious. Our dog loves coming here and we are all made to feel very welcome. Focus seems to be slightly more on bar patrons than customers eating in the restaurant however the service couldn't be faulted and the staff were lovely and everything was very clean too. We love the ferryboat!

A lovely pub with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There's a good choice of lagers, ciders on tap. were four of us eating, and all enjoyed the main course, as we visited on a Sunday the menu choices are reduced, however still plenty to choose from. The dessert wasn't enjoyed so much, the chocolate sundae disappointingly didn't match the quality of the main course, hence 4 stars for food. Saying that we all enjoyed our visit to The Ferryboat, it has a lovely atmosphere and so will be going back.

Ordered 1 Tuesday offer of pie and pint and 2 lunch offer of 2 courses for £17.95. When our friend had finished the pint he'd paid for he went up to the bar to collect his free pint and was told he should have had his pint when the food was ordered and then when my husband tried to order his pudding course he was told he'd have to pay for it because that should have gone though the till at the time the meal was paid for. I told the barman that I'd asked if the pudding needed ordering at time of payment but was told no. Unfortunately your poorly trained staff are not a customers concern, what is a concern is the very poor standard of customer service offered by all the staff at this pub.

I attended a wedding there recently and the experience was second to none great food and service nice staff, can't comment on the regular pub but definitely recommend this place.

The Ferry Boat is a lovely cosy pub. The staff are friendly with very good customer service. The food has always been very good, but I have knocked one star off for the stuffing, which is hard and dry. On the whole, it is a great pub with good food and a good atmosphere.

The prices has risen alot since our last visit but the quality is not as good as it was. Only 2 veg with a sunday roast dinner, cabbage which was ok and 1 very over cooked/roasted slice of carrot and an option to pay for other veg. Very disappointing. Service wasn't as good as it had been either as staff forgot to come back for wone choice.

We enjoying having breakfast with Mr Easter bunny today, it was fantastic my girls loved having cuddles with him, and was very thankful for his help during their Easter egg hunt. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very tasty.

I just wanted to give a big shout out and massive thanks to the The Ferry Boat, in Washingborough. It was mine and my hubby's 25th Wedding anniversary and to celebrate we went to the pub for a lovely meal. Due to my dietary requirements there wasn't really anything I could eat, but the lovely chef came up with the BEST dish I've ever had, that was absolutely PERFECT for me. (They really should put it on the menu!). They really went above and beyond, we are very, very grateful 🙏🏻. Thank you so, so much. The waitresses were so lovely, kind and helpful, Thank you, so much!! We don't get to eat out very often, but they really did make a special evening the best. We cannot say thank you enough, would highly recommend the Ferry Boat. 🙏🏻 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Only really reviewing this so the management can make changes 3 staff tending to all the customers bar AND running food isnt enough Sunday 25th of Feb was understaffed and leaving customers waiting for lengthy periods Usually one of the best pubs in the area, so disappointing to see them fall flat on something simple like staffing

Third visit this year for a meal. this time Sunday Roast. My wife had the roast chicken and thought it was excellent. I had the roast beef, beef a bit too pink for me, but, that was my fault I should have asked for it to be well done! I still ate every little bit. We both had starters, both excellent. Highly recommended.

Looking for somewhere for dinner as we were staying in the area. Came across the Ferry Boat and on first impressions of the outside of the building did not have high expectations. We were, however, warmly greeted by the barmaid and given a table in a rustic yet cosy and comfortable bar/dining area. Our meals were sensibly priced and enjoyable although dogs in a dining room are not ideal. The place was quite busy for the time of day so obviously popular with the locals and good to see it being supported

We enjoyed an excellent meal in welcoming and cosy surroundings. The service was efficient and very friendly. It was particularly nice not to have to put up with a t.v. or intrusive music in the background. I would recommend this venue wholeheartedly.

Called in at lunchtime yesterday.I wasn't aware they had an offer on with 50% off all food so that was why the place was rather full. Eventually got our main meal served 1 hour and 5 minutes after entering. The double quarter pounder with fries I ate at MACDONALDS today was far superior than the meal served up at the Ferryboat. Chips were dry overcooked and tasteless and chicken dry and only warm. I only paid half price and even then it was well overpriced!!!!!!!!!!!

A lovely, old building with a lot of people in on a Saturday afternoon. Welcoming staff and a good menu . The cooked food was quite bland and the baguettes looked the same. Nothing to complain about, just not as good as we’d been hoping.

We live very close to this pub and we’re very lucky to have it in the village. Great food and local ales. Sam and the team work tirelessly to keep this place going. Recently won awards for best pub turnaround-it wasn’t a great place for many years. I saw a comment re the pie-I had this over Christmas and it was excellent, a friend chose this last night and was also very impressed. I had chilli very tasty and plenty of spice exactly how it should be. 50% off food Jan/early Feb it was packed and a bargain. Keep up the great work.

A very welcoming pub when we arrived and I was expecting a great meal based on how nice the place looked. I was surprised at paying £11 for a pint of shandy and a glass of white wine, but, was still looking forward to my meal. Unfortunately it was incredibly disappointing food. It took an hour for the six of us to be served our meals. I had the steak pie which was tasteless and quite frankly awful. Another of our party had steak which was dry, chewy and bland. I’m sorry, but, despite its pleasing interior, the meals were really not good and certainly overpriced.

Great pint of Timothy Taylor’s on Sunday that I stayed for a few . Perfectly poured and well looked after. Staff very welcoming.Really busy which is great to see and new beer garden patio has been done really well. Nice open fire place with seating area made us stay for a lot more drinks than planned.

Darren was an excellent host along with the rest of his team. It was good to see a host with a good sense of humour. Delicious food was experienced by us all and we would strongly recommend the Ferry Boat.

The Ferry Boat had us sailing away happy! We’ll be honest, this wasn’t our first choice. We’d rang many places beforehand and nowhere we tried was serving food or wasn't even open. This was on a Monday mind, so we do appreciate it's one of the quieter days for restaurants, but there are still people who want to dine out on Mondays so there’s a possible gap in the market there. Moving on to The Ferry Boat, it’s a lovely venue that felt very welcoming. The staff were very friendly and the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much for them. Now for what you're really here for and the food was just as good as the service. The starters were both light and freshly prepared and it was clear from the taste. If we’re honest, they weren’t exactly show stoppers, but very nice basic plates to ease us in. On to the main events, and we were thoroughly impressed when both plates arrived. The pie was divine! Stuffed to the top with succulent chunks of steak in a rich vegetable-filled gravy paired with delicious mash and summer greens, this was a hearty dish full of flavour. And now the burger. It’s safe to say it’s a good one! As pub burgers go, it’s one of the best we’ve tried. It’s as simple as that. Want to know why? Go and try one out and you’ll see what we mean. It’s just flawless in our opinion. The same goes for the entire evening at The Ferry Boat. We highly recommend you give them a visit and they've even a car park too so you really have no excuses not to check them out.

Nipped in here for one after attending the Circus, and the owner looked after us!!!! Just made last orders but weren't rushed and allowed us to have a great ending to a memorable night. Quality staff, they pour a great pint of guiness and with food served in a family friendly setting with dining and drinking areas this place is a definite return venue that I'd recommend. My wife and I, plus two friends had an exception Christmas Dinner here. Food and service was brilliant. In fact I would say that it was the best meal out we have had for many a year. Well done to all at The Ferry Boat.

One of the worst Christmas lunches I have ever eaten. Clam chowder was actually bacon & potato soup. Over cooked vegetables (the Brussels were actually yellow!) soggy burnt tasting roast potatoes & parsnips, dry turkey. Terrible! Very disappointing.

Went as a party of 7, 6 adults and 1 toddler. We booked for 12.30pm and were there a total of 90mins. We had 6 amazing roasts that were cooked to perfection and the child’s food was free as it was a Sunday as this...

Nice pub. It was a bit hit and miss with the staff but overall nice experience. My Husband had sausage and mash and really enjoyed it. I had a caesar salad with a side of garlic bread. The salad had 4 tiny bits of chicken . (They did say they had to swap it to fried chicken as they'd ran out, but they should have cancelled the dish as there was hardly any chicken at all) The garlic bread was nice a bit dry. And it was baguette style which I don't like personally. Desserts were amazing! Overall it was very nice and we'll be back

This has to be one of our favorite new local pubs we’ve stumbled across this year. It’s warm and friendly, low ceilings, open fire, pool table, good food and friendly staff. Special shout out to Alice who’s a delight behind the bar. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Sunday Roast! Great service, food was superb. This pub is stunning, open fires, original stone brick walls inside. Couldn't fault it, our children even got their main courses for free on a Sunday, seemed to be an offer they had on. We will be back! Thank you!

Not for me. Car park was full with some selfish and bad parking going so parked elsewhere. Low ceiling felt a little claustrophobic. Very nice interior and character. Drink order never arrived. Had to prompt. Food was lovely. Ordered Sunday Roast. Not biggest portions. Made a joke with one server, fell flat. It all felt a little awkward. Had dessert and was offered bill. Wasn't offered if we wanted anymore drinks. Ordered tea. By the time we barely finished our cups of tea the bill was bought over to us. We hadn't requested it. Paid and different server apologised in respect of problems with coffee machine. Pointed out that we never had or ordered coffee. Just very weird and awkward. On leaving staff member did not say goodbye. It felt like we did something. No idea what. Won't be back. Better places to spend £60 on lunch.

First night they'd reopened after kitchen refurb but they were definitely on their A game! Delicious food, lovely attentive staff who always take time to say hello to our little westie Binky and bring her water and treats! Meal was amazing! Always a lovely evening...

Visited twice on a half term break. Food was excellent on both occasions as was the welcome. Quiz night was a good laugh on Wednesday too.

Quite probably the best family friendly food pub for miles around. Staff are so helpful, very accommodating and the food is always fantastic. Good selection of ales and beers, wine menu with a decent selection too! What are you waiting for?

The pub was very empty and only one of the advertised cask ales was available. A poor start and it got worse. The barman's very loud voice and the volume of the piped music made normal conversation impossible. The food was mediocre and incredibly overpriced. We will not visit again. There are several much more attractive and competively priced options nearby. Very disappointing indeed.

Came to the new breakfast club, the food was amazing, quantity and quality was great. Service from Mischa & Sam was very attentive and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Honestly, this was the best experience at a pub I have ever had. Thank you to the friendly and knowledgeable Sam and brilliant menu options. I haven't been to many places where there are so many vegan mains and puddings but also they cater for non-vegans equally. Sam also knew without having to check which wines were vegan friendly. I would definitely visit again!

Not a bad little pub, was a scooter event when we went and great load of friendly people had some good chats. Beer expensive but about average for village pubs. Didn't try the food as one of the locals recommended the corner kebab shop. Said it cheaper and more for your money so we did that. Have to take locals advice as they should know. One thing put me off was attitude from a few locals who seemed annoyed the car park was full of scooterists. Well what I could see was for every car and 2 people you got 4 or 5 scooterists and they put more in the bar cash till than they did, enjoyed the lads gathering and enquired about next one so we could go there. Will enjoy that much better than sitting on bar stool. Lol

The food has always been good and the staff helpful. Good sized car park and an enclosed beer garden, ideal for dogs and small wandering children. The pub is also dog friendly inside. They have regular quiz nights and live music! A patio area has recently been updated, with more tables and chairs. An easy access ramp and door is almost completed, for those who may need it. And I've been told that more improvements are on the way!

Great find. Lovely looking pub, with character, good food and a pool table. We were rubbish at the pool, but it added some fun. The guy serving behind the bar was experienced and social. We hope to go again soon.

We used the app. Drinks were quick although when requested for no ice it came with ice. The food was very nice and it came very quickly. If you are stopping off for a change over like we were I would definitely recommend.

Cashless..I will not support cashless businesses... and don't give me the covid rubbish, cash spreads diseases...what a load of cobblers...why would you turn away customers in this day and age who wanted to spend their hard earned cash? What will you do when your system is down?

Lovely impromptu meal out for my husbands birthday. The staff were lovely and polite and very accommodating with regards my son who is autistic and particular about what foods he will and will not eat. My husband had the steak, I had a chicken pie and my son had the cheeseburger with an alternative to the chips. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and when a table of lovely older gentlemen started singing, they were asked if they would sing Happy Birthday to my husband and they obliged. The perfect end to a lovely evening. Will definitely come back for another visit.

Very busy pub and staff very friendly but please note that it's card payment only for everything which we found out when we came to pay! As I didn't want to ruin the night by washing up my friend paid for all of us by card and we gave her the cash, very odd that they don't take cash as not everyone wants to use their card, the main meals were ok but the mash tasted like Smash and the dessert menu needs sorting we each had different desserts but didn't taste right, sorry

We were visiting the area and had booked a table in the restaurant. The web site clearly states the time for your table and if you wanted to sit in the restaurant or "dog" restaurant. Ignore both. When we arrived we were told the restaurant area was not available as it was prepared for a function. We were then offered tables in the very very noisy "dog" restaurant, we choose one away by the other exit. Very very bad service as the restaurant area did not have a function in it, or was "prepared " & no one sat in it that evening. Food was ok, & reasonably priced. The pub area was not the place to take your wife for a meal.
