We’ve eaten here a few times now, mainly with our two young granddaughters. The service has always been extremely friendly and the food lovely. Good varied menu. They always went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, especially towards the girls. Very highly recommended, we shall definitely return

The BEST breakfast I’ve ever had! Service was superb and the breakfast (I’m rather fussy!) was the best I’ve had. Everything cooked to perfection! 100% recommended!

Living in Newark, we occasionally nip over to Sleaford for a change of scenery. The Market Square Cafe was a great little find and a really nice spot to have a bite to eat and a hot drink. The food is affordable and very good indeed. I'd definitely recommend using the cafe if you're in the area.

Quite stopoff after shopping in Sleaford. We sat outside with our dog and ordered tea and coffee as well as two scones. All arrived pretty quickly. Scones were delicious with drinks being nice and hot. A lovely place to cill on a quiet afternoon. Shut Monday and Tuesday. Cafe fully licensed does a range of food. Staff are lovely and very friendly.

Stopped here for breakfast after a pleasant stay in a well-known budget hotel! Very good English breakfast including a really nice Lincolnshire sausage. (The butchers are just round the corner and we called in for some for a family barbecue later that day.) The staff (and customers!) are very friendly and helpful. (Small parking charge to park in the very attractive square by the Church.)

We visited Sleaford for the first time today and came across this establishment as it was lunch time.We ordered our lunch an for the first time in a long time our food was bought to us hot and on a hot plate,To many cafes just slap food onto a plate without care or thought. Not so in this cafe.My roast pork dinner was very well cooked and presented. My wife’s jacket potato wit prawns looked fresh and appetising.Ok the coffee is from a machine but was tasty and hot.Very often we leave cafes disappointed but not in this case.We would return whenever we are around Sleaford again.Well done to the staff.

Typical cafe, no frills, food sourced from a wholesaler. Convenient for the town centre, nice outlook over the square towards the Parish Church. Very good value for money, prompt and friendly service.

We got to the market square late in the afternoon but were welcomed in. The coffee was so good I had another one straight off. There was a very welcoming atmosphere about the place with regulars being looked after and newcomers, like us, being treated just as well. It's got a good location, good parking and the food is good, fresh and well presented.

Highly recommend this cafe, great prices, good menu, staff are friendly. Good sized portions for the prices we had lasagna and a burger all arrived plain as ordered , ate at other cafes and they do not listen to what you want. You can order extras to add to your meal of the list, also have nice range of milkshakes. Great cafe a credit to the owners and staff .

Awful coffee from a machine not for the coffee lover I'm afraid, we visited hoping to get a nice coffee and cake. The cakes did not look like nice homemade cakes and the coffee tasted cheap and powdery. We will not be calling again this is a shame because they have a great spot on the market place.

Serves typical 'British' cafe food such as ommlette, baked potato, quiche. What's very good is the amount of food that is cooked on the premises, a definate plus.

This is a really friendly cafe on the Market Place. It was quite busy on a Saturday lunchtime but the staff were very efficient. Obviously a good place for the locals as many were addressed by name.

My friend and I visited this lovely small friendly café at lunch time today. The range of menu is good, baguettes, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, burgers, drinks, hot and cold puds to name but a few. My burger was moist and tasty as I had added mushrooms. My friend had a hot baguette, chicken and something! My friend was highly delighted with her choice. We both had apple pie and custard for pud plus a soft drink each. A;; for under £20.00There is only 1 toilet, but it does have disabled grab rails so all good.

We were recommended the roast dinner by staff and when we saw it taken to another table, we decided to have this. The portion sizes were good and tasted delicious, would definitely recommend. Price wise, it was very reasonable and the location is ideal for anyone visiting the area.

Went here the other week to meet up with my then boss to discuss my hours and boom got sacked there and then . Sacked me because his business is running to the ground and he has no money and didn't like the fact i had an illness . However the food and drinks were lovely. Such a kind selection of staff and just an overall happy cafe to go in and have some dinner I think!

I live close to the centre of Sleaford and must have had breakfast at all the potential places within walking distance. The breakfast here is by far the best of any of the competition. It is freshly prepared, piping hot and made with very tasty ingredients. The staff are very friendly and the location is convenient. It is not the cheapest breakfast working out at about £14 for 2 people with tea/coffee - there are other places that charge about £11 but the quality and taste are simply worth the extra. I would have awarded 5 stars but have never eaten any other meal than breakfast there but I have heard very positive comment from others particularly regarding Sunday Lunch.

Have to say the staff were very lovely, the cafe can be a bit cramped as a lot of locals go there but always a good way to get to know people, food was absolutely lovely and traditionally English, for those Irish people reading the tea there is decent too. Very friendly staff and have a good laugh with us would definitely recommend if looking for breakfast when passing through :)

I popped in with my dog and we were made very welcome. Lovely atmosphere with local people chatting and included me, made me feel welcome. The staff were very friendly and I had a hot chocolate and I really enjoyed scrambled egg on toast. I was so looking forward to popping in again on my next visit to Sleaford but I was very sad to read a newspaper article saying it has closed for good. So sad after 101 years in the town that this had to close.

Yet another visit to this fantastic pub. The lunchtime baguettes are amazing and great value for money. The only issue I have is with the guy complaining about his steak as the George has not had steak on the menu for quite some time. My advice is to ignore that review and try the pub for yourself, it's brilliant.

As spotless as ever. The prices still haven't risen and a really nice, well cooked breakfast with tea or coffee is still only a fiver! Can't fault the place.

We went for Saturday lunch. When we arrived we was told it was a 30-45 minute wait for food the pub was empty. But a few tables sat outside with kids. We ordered something easy. Ham egg and chip. After waiting the time they said our food arrived. The chips was cold and the egg looked like it had been sat for 10 minutes. They had an inflatable assault course for kids in the garden which is a great attraction for people with kids. But I wouldn’t advise going for a meal !! 🤮
