The guys here are amazing! The food is amazing! They all crack on getting orders completed working around each other staying in the zone and still providing a personal experience! I’m working around here and come here every day! The guy now knows my order and I’m receiving a real inclusive experience. Highly recommended.

Called into Arnold and decided to treat ourselves to a cooked breakfast, so dropped into Front Street Café, just up from Asda. Ordered the classic breakfast with a fried slice at £6.50. It was very tasty, not greasy, lovely sausages, and a great portion. And the tea was especially nice, which isn't always the case in some cafés. The café soon became busy as it was already lunchtime. The interior was welcoming, clean and inviting, with a friendly lady serving. Will definitely call in again when next in Arnold Centre, based on our experience today. (The only downside, and hence only 4 stars, was the condition of the toilet, which needed some serious attention.)

Thanks to Google Maps for taking me off the main road and into Burton Joyce village to this absolute gem of a fish any chip shop. I had mini cod and chips with curry sauce (plus a battered sausage) and it was DELICIOUS. I will definitely repeat this stop next time I'm in the area. The lady who served me also gets full marks for friendliness and a big smile.

We went for a lunch . 1.4.25 3.00pm The bar did not have Pino Grigio as they " were changing their wine list " but we were recommended an Italian Gavi as being similar. When I asked for a tiny taste of this I was refused which I thought was very arrogant. (the barman said he was not allowed to give out tasters) At this point I was not however completely deterred so had a small glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc instead which was nothing special. I had previously looked at their menu on line and chosen a particular dish . It was not available and we were told that they do not regularly update their on line menu. I settled for something else as I had with to do the wine. The meal was also a disappointment , very bland . The waiter/ cook who served us seemed in a rush and totally uninterested ( to say we were the only people eating in the room.) I have been to the Vic many times before but the standards have certainly dropped and I will not be returning. (even to see Kelly's Hero's play and that's saying something ! )
