Recently visited the Gedling inn & Kitchen for firework night with my children. Food was great, extra activities set up for the children for a couple of quid. Firework display was fantastic throughly enjoyed the evening establishment clean and service from staff quick and professional for such a busy evening. Would highly recommend.

Quite a bit of waiting around for the fireworks to start and no available seating indoors, but worth the wait. Excellent display, great value for money

Excellent service, great vegan options, with good value for money offers, and it's a family run business, where you feel right at home.

Booked an afternoon tea for a leaving gathering as usual the afternoon tea was excellent the staff are always friendly and go above and beyond I highly recommend.

Bonfire night was amazing and great value for money. Highly recommended, this was the second year now that we’ve been. Staff were amazing all night. Fire works were so good, amazing display.

The Gedling Inn is my local and we've been several times over the years. I love the atmosphere in there and find the whole pub looks clean and is just generally cosy. The restaurant side of the pub serves a hearty meals that are tasty with vegetarian and vegan options available too. Unfortunately, we lost my Dad a month ago and we opted to host his wake at the Gedling Inn. Beccy and the Gedling Inn family were so kind and courteous towards my family throughout the whole process and it was a lovely celebration of my Dad's life. The party food was OK, but the hot sides were a massive favourite and went fast. I also really appreciate the dog-friendliness as our dogs love to be with us constantly. They've been down prior but also were at the wake, in which they had a great time, eating all the pork pies and being fussed by staff. Water bowls are available for dogs too, which is fantastic. See you at Christmas for Christmas dinner!

My first visit to this place and I was really pleased with the food, service, staff friendly and helpful, ample car parking, atmosphere in the place was pleasant and not too busy . Would definitely happily return to the Gedling Inn .

The two for one works well for me and my wife but not so if you're on your own or there's three of you.staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is good.

Celebrated many birthdays here, food is perfect and always very tasty, nothing is too trouble for the staff, always smiling and very helpful I would highly recomend this pub for food Perfect portions, always hot, great value for the money Iv never had a bad meal!! First time visiting here last night (31/8) we came as a group of 5 for the Greek themed evening, each getting 5 courses 🇬🇷 The food was lovely and well worth the money. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will defo come again to try other food options. Lovely outdoor seating area, would have stayed longer out there but it got dark quite quick.

We had afternoon tea at Gedling Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. There was a minor mix up with our vegetarian needs, but it was solved quickly by very friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend Gedling Inn - it has a lovely friendly atmosphere and excellent food.

We recently celebrated my father in laws 80th birthday here with 20 Members of our family. The reason we chose Gedling inn is because of the great service received when we have visited before and lovely food. I can’t recommend enough, the staff are very friendly and the service is super efficient. Thanks to all for making my father in laws birthday special 🤩

Great food and atmosphere, a real gem of a pub, clean, spacious, and good beer selection. It's definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Disappointed, pub staff are quite frankly barmy, seen 2 lads drive in, and park up, as soon they got out the car they were met with abuse by a bystander in the children’s park, and which point a lad asked what he had done wrong, he was then met with multiple racial remarks, and so on, The male on the child’s park proceeded to walk up to the teenagers, getting into there face, and quite touchy to be completely honest, one lad pushed the male away to avoid any issues and fights happening, the male that had started on the lads then proceeded to get back into the lads face which resulted in one of the teenagers throwing a punch and landing it on the guy that caused the issue. A another bystander then proceeded to put one of the young males into a headlock, in which the staff did nothing. once the situation was over and defused the staff proceeded to ban the 2 teenagers who had done nothing wrong except defend themselfs from a bloke who had clearly had to much to drink, I understand our country has its problems but I didn’t think we’d forget about self defense laws, I was a regular in this pub but after that situation, i’ll not be returning and advising my pals and family who attend this to pub to do the same thing. Unfortunate, and a shocking decision, Ps, I hope the 2 teenagers are okay and are safe.

Decent food when taking into account 2 for 1. The menu prices are very high and if paying full price it's just not justifiable. But considering everything seems to be on a 2 for 1 it brings things into line. We still spent over £130 for 6 people but considering drinks etc it's not bad really.

Came for a Sunday roast with my partner. We both had the Sunday roast as it was fantastically priced. Good cost for multiple courses, but we were stuffed after just the main. Plenty of your plate and lots of veggies on the side, really great meal. Only downside was food coming out was a little slow off the mark, but understandably a busy time of day. The beef was slightly overcooked, but delicious all the same. The gravy was a little thin and tasteless, but plenty of it. Overall a really good experience, would absolutely come again! Great for a well priced, local roast.

I ate at The Gedling Inn with a few friends this week. They have a pretty good number of vegan options and their two-for-the-price-of one makes them quite good value. I had the pizza, which was excellent. Table service, and the staff were very nice

Lovely place. Took my Granddaughter there while we waited for her big sister to finish dance club. She ordered Pizza and an Apple Juice. The lovely lady who took our order asked my 5 yr old Granddaughter if she wanted to create her Pizza or get the kitchen to do it. Lovely touch! Food arrived quickly, she enjoyed it, couldn't eat it all but we were able to take the rest home in a pizza box, she wanted her big sister to have some. Great place. A little update, Now take both Granddaughters there, usually on a Tuesday. The food, the staff, amazing. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed.

Great pub with friendly staff and good food. We were served by a new member of staff who was lovely and apologised for being slow writing the orders which really wasn't an issue. The Steak was lovely as usual and the staff were quick to bring over more drinks. Great service. It is shame there are no offers for odd numbers of diners as we were a table of three so could only use the 2 for one and felt slightly overcharged for the third meal :-(

Twenty-two of us booked in advance for lunch. We were served by very friendly and professional staff, everyone enjoyed their food and it was all served hot and fresh. We had a great time and would like to thank all the staff for a very enjoyable experience. Not easy to deal with such a large number but it all went seamlessly and will certainly look forward to going again.

Prawn cocktail were shrimps served with no sauce we complained and it was taken off the bill. Service was OK, main meal was tasteless and mash tasted chemically . Recommend a new kitchen team and a major menu review as food is below average. Won't be going again .

Brilliant food tried and had some burgers in my time but hand on heart these are well worth a visit enjoyed everything great food good atmosphere good value for money great friendly staff definitely worth going to...we will return

Been here twice now and seriously one of the best vegan menus in the whole is Nottinghamshire! The “shicken” kebabs were just out of this world. And then the vegan cottage pie… oh my god! The service was amazing both times and we had a table of 14 the second time - so fast!! Truly you should explains your vegan menu even more, as so many of my local vegan groups are talking about you! And such a lovely setting inside! Please do some more vegan puddings! 🧡🌱

Love the food at the Gedling Inn , 241 on all main meals and always great , never had a bad meal . Salmon and broccoli carbonara is my favourite. Would highly recommend eating and drinking here.

We usually go to Gedling Inn 2-3 times a month, and, a few weeks ago, after we had paid the bill, I noticed I hadn't paid for my wine, so I told a waitress - so she charged me for a large glass instead of a bottle for being honest. We didn't want to be remembered as the people who didn't pay the bill properly. However, the experience we had today for my husband's 70th birthday left us rather upset. He asked for a J20 to be served without a slice or ice, so the server put the bottle on the table, and, when he asked for a glass, she said you asked for a J20 with nothing - though we obviously expected to still get a glass with it. For the main meal, I had ordered the sea bass, which the menu said comes with green beans and peas, sauteed potatoes, and parsley sauce was extra. When it arrived, there were no green beans. I asked the waitress if I could look at the menu. She asked what I was querying. I said I'm sure it comes with green beans, and she said no, it comes with seasonal vegetables then proceeded to ask if I wanted baked beans, which came across as a sarcastic comment. She then asked if I wanted any other vegetables, but after the sarcastic comment the answer was no. Later, I looked at the menu, and it did specifically say green beans, so I spoke to her and let her know. She accused me of talking down to her and, when she asked whether the meal was okay, my husband answered as I had a mouthful of food, so she then accused me of dismissing her (as I'd made a slight hand gesture to acknowledge that she had spoken). I then said that she wouldn't have wanted the food projected at her if I'd spoken with my mouth full. We are very unhappy with the way we were spoken to, and unfortunately, we feel like we can no longer visit or recommend this pub, as the server was very unpleasant to us from the moment we sat down until the moment we left, ruining my husband's birthday dinner. (While the food was good, it did not make up for the poor service.)

We have recently visited this pub a few times, the food is good and the prices are reasonable if you are a couple, most of the menu is on a buy one get one free basis, the cheapest meal being the free one. The deserts are two for £11. Prices do not suit a party where there is an odd number of you! The first time we went I had the hunters chicken which was nice, the next time it was traditional Sunday roast dinner, I had the beef, which wasn’t the most tender I have experienced, but was ok, the vegetables were fine, although there was a large dollop of mashed potato, which I don’t think should be part of a traditional roast, with a couple of roast potatoes - I would have preferred more of these. The third time I had chicken tikka masala, the chicken was nice and tender, but the sauce was rather sweet and not very creamy. The cheesecake was really nice. Overall the food quality is good for the price, provided you aren’t odd! The interior was clean and well presented, I have a blue badge, there are a couple of spaces near the entrance, but these were taken the first two times I visited, the regular car park is quite a distance if you are someone who struggles to walk this could be an issue - I was fine as I have a wheelchair. They had the football on when we went on a Sunday which suited my son! These weren’t overly intrusive and when we went during the week at lunchtime they weren’t on. They have a separate dining area, which isn’t wheelchair accessible. They tried putting out a portable ramp which didn’t work, perhaps the person didn’t know how to install it properly. We sat in the bar area which was fine. Overall a nice place to have some food which isn’t too expensive and a notch up from Wetherspoon’s.

Absolutely shocking. Customer service shocking. Food shocking. No respect throughout the whole meal of 18 people the manager on shift had her coat on for the last hour of our meal felt like she wanted us out as quick as possible giving all members of the party dirty looks throughout quite frankly felt uncomfortable throughout the whole experience and unwanted. We also had a service dog with us and was told that they didn’t believe he was a service dog (epilepsy alert dog). Would of love to return as it’s a a middle ground pub for our group but after that experience never again would not reccomend.

Becky, cass and the team are incredible. They all go above and beyond to welcome your stay. The ambience is lovely and friendly and the food is outstanding. We love this place, you are all a credit to The Gedling Inn. Keep doing what you doing, Cheryl and John Rudge.

Have been coming here for a while now and the atmosphere is great in the pub. Bar staff are great and always friendly. Becky and Cas have done a great job with the pub and I would highly recommend visiting. The food is great value and excellent quality

There were about 40+ of Friends for Life (Nottm)"Ay'e up mi duck" attended today for a cream tea, that was a great experience for those of us locals living at home with someone who has Alzheimer's. KERA was wonderfully organised, there was more food than many could manage, but 10 boxes later there leftovers will make a great Tea time as well. Today's trip was an eye 👁️ opener, as I have not felt so comfortable in any food establishment. Well done to all in the kitchen as well, superb quality food. Many thanks, will be seeing you again soon.

Nice clean Inn. Standard food menu but good and at a decent price. Staff nice and friendly and do a pub quiz on Thursdays.

My friend and I made one of our many trips to The Gedling Inn and today we enjoyed afternoon tea together. We go out to many places for lunch and I can honestly say that we always have the best food and warmest welcome from Gedling Inn and their staff. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

So good with a great choice that we are back tomorrow.

Lovely Sunday Lunch yesterday. We hadn’t booked and went in on the off chance. Staff were really friendly and managed to squeeze us in. We both had roast beef which was delicious. Great service too.

This is an excellent pub. We had a lovely meal here on a Saturday lunch and there was a special offer which made it a very reasonable trip out. It’s a lovely big space and they also take dogs, which is great. I would thoroughly recommend.

The Gedling inn has always been a lovely place for lunch or dinner or even drinks, but this year we decided to spend Mother’s Day here for lunch with our family. There were 13 of us, 6 children included. The menus are always great and the kids menu has a great variety which is always good as my children prefer anything but chicken nuggets. The pub was busy but the staff had everything under control as always. Service was great and it was so nice not to feel rushed on Mother’s Day. Food was exceptional! £17.95 for 2 course. I had lamb shank and it was amazing!!! Then the dessert- lemon tiramisu- never ever have I have a dessert so nice!!! The Gedling inn make their desserts in house (which you don’t get always these days) and it shows! Try the lemon tiramisu guys!!!! My mum is going to return for cake and a coffee one day this week tk sample a different dessert! Looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks for the Easter fun day. These are always so good!

We booked for a wake. The food and service were excellent and we had an area of the pub to ourselves.

I booked for Mother’s Day afternoon tea and it was brilliant!! Very accommodating and provided us tea and coffee instead of Prosecco. As me and my mum aren’t Prosecco drinkers. Was served by the lovely Grace who was very attentive to our needs and made sure everything was okay. She was brilliant. The presentation was beautiful and was a perfect portion size. Had a lovely afternoon and will definitely be returning to try the main menu 😊

I know it’s a 2 for 1 menu and it won’t be the most luxurious food you will taste, but omg, what happened to the fish that you use to serve here? My fish was so soggy and smelt and tasted old! No more flakey meaty fish like it used to be! People working here are lovely and it’s an okay atmosphere for a pint but definitely don’t recommend the fish!

Came for a meal last week, food was so tasty and great value for money. Service fantastic, served by Grace, nothing was too much trouble, very friendly and great with our kids too made us feel very welcome. Will deffo return!

We regularly dine here and have never had any issues. Great food and service. Was that good through 2023 that we bought our family here for Christmas Dinner which also didn't disappoint Will see u all again soon.

Again have to mention The Gedling Inn. Lovely warm feeling about the pub. The meals are fantastic value for money. Well prepared and offer good value for money. Definitely recommend the Lasagne or steak had both at some point. Definitely recommend for food top quality.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left the customer service was probably the best we have had for a long time. The food, was excellent. The decor and cleanliness was amazing, and I'm.fussy. If you haven't already, please try this amazing venue. Not many places packed on a Tuesday night ( and having your order taken and food on the table within 20mins) Thank you to all.

21 of us booked for an afternoon tea, on the day an additional person came (that I didn’t know about - sorry!) The team were very accommodating and helpful. A few of our party ran late, the team were very accommodating and held the food back until everyone arrived. Our party was a “Tame” hen do - oldest guest 91 and youngest 6. All had a fab time and were very complimentary on the food, the value for money and the service. Many thanks to all of the team for a great afternoon 🥳 We have lived around the corner for apx 8 years, and only since The Gedling Inn has changed management a few years back have we visited regularly. It is a great improvement since the latest Manager has taken over!!! It’s my 3rd afternoon tea there in 6 months and I’ll defo be back (perhaps with less people next time) Thanks for also catering for all the men who came in for drinks, and tried to gatecrash our tea to get the cakes at the end! I come to the Gedling Inn with family for a birthday evening of food and it was amazing!!! The food was fresh and portion size is great for the prices, the service was amazing fast, attentive, friendly and efficient!! Grace was really great and made us feel very welcome and was very attentive through out thank you for the friendly staff at gedling inn for a lovely experience and thank you Grace for looking after us we will definitely be back keep up the great fresh food and friendly service :)

Came often in the summer for food but it's even better this winter. Popped in for some ale and lunch, lovely atmosphere, good polite staff and food that you wouldn't expect in a pub at a good price. Top notch !!

Food as always is good had 2 steaks and 2 Currys for under £50 great value as it's buy 1 get 1 free (cheapest plate) plenty of staff so you don't have to wait for ages and always make sure to check in on you

We booked The Gedling Inn to host an Afternoon Tea for my dad’s 80th birthday There were 18 of us and the service by the team was amazing. All the team were polite and professional. The food for the Afternoon Tea was delicious and very well presented. The table set up was amazing with all China tea cups and plates. We can highly recommend if you are looking for a place to host your party/event or even if you just want a place for a meal. The food is delicious.

Lovely homemade food, well worth the wait and price. Recommend the meat lasagne! So much nicer than the 'plastic' food you get in generic pubs.

Went for dinner on Christmas day and the food was incredible. The atmosphere was great, it was really busy but the staff were amazing and everything ran smoothly. Our kids had the best day ever thank you. Will definitely be returning for the 2 for 1 on food during the week

Went for works Christmas meal food great service was good . Staff serving a lot of people all over the pub .lots of partys going off . And football on tv . Only problem was everyone was squashed in to small area. Half pub was closed of to a private party . Not ideal.

Over the past couple of months we’ve utilised the Gedling inn twice for private events! One being a baby shower and one being a 60th birthday. The baby shower went amazingly and they did an afternoon tea set up with scones, cakes and sandwiches! They also did us mocktails. The 60th came with a buffet of sandwiches, quiche, scotch eggs, crisps etc. the hospitality is always top notch, the staff are amazing and the owner Becky always goes above and beyond. We regularly go to the Gedling inn, Christmas eve included! The vibe is always top class and the bar staff are fantastic. Thank you to everyone at the Cheggo! The best local ever.

Well what can i say about the staff and service? Absolutely amazing. Super friendly and helpful especially with the kids. Becky (owner) is a true superstar and makes the gedling feel like home. Will defo frequent.

After several visits and amazing food, we decided to have Christmas Dinner here. We were not disappointed, the food was lovely, service spot on and it was nice to see a full pub! Well done Becky and team and thank you for a lovely meal

So my husband went here on 23rd December to take the grandchildren to breakfast with Santa The atmosphere was great and the build up to Santa visiting was buzzing .the breakfast was strong with lots of choice Santa was fab her took the time to answer all questions asked Would highly recommend for 2024 Our eldest granddaughter skipped out at the end telling grandad see I knew I was on the good list !!

Fabulous Christmas dinner with the family. Excellent food and excellent service in what was a very busy session. Well done to all involved.
