Went this morning on 30th august there was man on his own he was very nice I had a biscoff milkshake and a bacon cob and my mum and a cappuccino with cheese on toast. I recommend this place

Took 55 mins for 2 breakfasts to come out,orders come out wrong,food under cooked. Won’t return👍🏼👍🏼

Nice staff food was good ham would of been nice warm or hot. Popular place clean tidy have a small sofa and 2 arm chairs at the back plus a customer toilet 🚻 I would recommend to all and if I'm in the area again I'll revisit.

Went this morning for a breakfast, I’d go as far as to say it’s the best in the area. The produce like the sausages and bacon are definitely better quality than the majority of local cobshops I’d recommend.

Always a friendly welcome. We tend to have a full English with fried bread and without exception always piping hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend.

I have been going to cafe 118 now for a good few years. The service is always welcoming, in my experience the breakfast here is hard to beat, good portion sizes, cooked well. With good quality produce. If you're after a nice sized full English breakfast you'll be hard pushed to find one better locally.

A good honest cafe, that serves hearty food in good size portions. The interior is comfortable and cosy and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen area would benefit from a more efficient cooking extraction system as the fumes and odours tend to filter through into the main cafe area which can be off putting to customers. In summary Cafe 118 is well worth a visit.

Great little friendly, value for money café in our community.

Lovely little lunch recently. I had a delicious fish finger sandwich while my wife had the jerk pork burger which looked just as good. Well worth a visit!

The best breakfast in Nottingham. Great meaty sausages, tinned tomatoes, thick bacon, beans, mushrooms, egg to how to you like them, rounds of toast to mop it all up finished with a decent cuppa. Perfect.

Aparcamiento en la calle si puedes encontrar un espacio. Encantadora bienvenida del personal. Ambiente muy "hogareño". El desayuno era de buena calidad. Salchichas decentes. Los frijoles y los tomates podrían haber sido un poco más calientes, pero aparte de eso, un desayuno decente y una taza de té para 5. 90. Volvería de nuevo.

I regularly visit Cafe 118 either for a cooked breakfast or coffee.Whatever reason for visit,a warm welcome is always assured.The staff there are so friendly and welcoming that it is a pleasure to visit.The food is also very good as is the fresh coffee.Highly recommended.

We sat outside and were offered an excellent choice if sandwiches. The choice of bread available was impressive to start off never mind the selection of fillings! Rolls, grabary' White's cheese topped, sliced white etc. I had an excellent vacancy and cheese sandwich on granary. My lad had a beautiful bowl of fresh chips and my mum had a bacon sandwich. Even the dog was offered fresh water and a dog sausage. The tea was in lovely huge mugs and served very promptly by polite and courteous young people. All in all a great location and a great little place. Highly recommended.

As well as doing breakfasts and lunches, Cafe 118 occasionally does themed nights and we went to a French one of these recently. For £25 we got a delicious three course meal: smooth, rich pate for starter, a fantastic chicken fricassee for main and a lovely pile of profiteroles for dessert. Service was excellent and each of the courses were spot on - the chicken in the fricassee was especially soft and tender. I'd definitely go to another of their themed nights and can recommend them to everyone.

Just had breakfast. Good food and must say that the owners or staff very polite.

Absolutely delightful, came across this place by chance and will definitely be returning regularly. Food homemade, freshly prepared and delicious, I had the vegetarian breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating staff and excellent service. I'm looking forward to trying the "Traditional Afternoon Tea" another time.

My partner , mum and sister stopped off here for a breakfast before heading onto The nottingham vintage carnival and it was such a lovely welcoming place to eat in.The staff was very attentive as nothing was too much trouble and the owner (also the chef ) cooked us a delicious breaky we founf very good value for money . This cafe also offers themed nights (yet to experience one of those but are planning to ) They also do many homezmade cakes & pastries etc which look yummy .We would certainly go back again when we next in that area

Lovely home made good and good service

Both my friend and I needed a coffee following a trip to the walk in centre so we went to Café 118 as they do really nice coffee. We lingered over our respective coffees, so much that we decided that food was needed. My friend had one of Lindsey's "simply scrumptious" sausage rolls with a salad and I had Tandoori chicken with a salad. Lindsey ensured that the salads were interesting (not just lettuce, cucumber and tomato) along with the meat items. More drinks followed including a milk shake - which was divine. Great, friendly service. Good value for money and very tasty.

Visited this weekend after hearing all the positive recommendations. I was not dissapointed! The staff were so friendly and it is really clean and modern. The full English was fabulous, one of the best I've ever had! The cakes and milkshakes are also fantastic. They also do an Oreo hot chocolate which I shall definitely be trying! Thanks again x

A friendly, comfortable environment. Lots of reasonably priced meals, including vegetarian choices. All freshly prepared and very tasty! My daughters especially like the oreo and malteeser milkshakes!

Friendly & helpful staff who work hard to provide the best service possible. Good food especially the home cooked cakes!! I have noted the comments by JohnDoe555; it's unfortunate when negative, vague comments are made as it doesn't allow the staff the opportunity to rectify it. A minimum curtesy would be to be specific about what they didn't like! At present it just reads as a vindictive meaningless comment!!

Fui con mi hijo hoy tuvimos la lasaña casera es simplemente hermosa!!!. A mi hijo le encantó la batidos y dijo que era el mejor que ha tenido... me encantó que todo fue casero y las tartas de aspecto y sabor delicioso!!...fue un precio razonable, aunque no me di cuenta de que tenía una bonita zona de asientos en la parte trasera. El personal era muy amable definitivamente volveré x

Había leído acerca de este lugar ya que pasabas 2-3 veces por semana, así que pensé que iba a ver sobre que era toda la queja. Ojalá no hubiera perdido mi dinero! No creo que el lugar parecía muy limpio y sin entrar en detalle, la comida era mala y cara!

Mejor Tortilla que he tenido pero la comida es buena en general usamos este café en vez de cualquier otro de la zona. Zona de asientos es de un buen tamaño y el personal es amable.

Went for a walk on Saturday morning, and decided to pop in to Cafe 118 for a breakfast. My hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed it and he said it was the best breakfast he had ever had in Nottingham (praise indeed coming from him). Lovely big mug of tea to wash it down too. Staff were fantastic.

Been here many times for breakfast, but this time it was for lunch. I ordered the chip buttie, they are twice cooked chips .the taste home made and you get loads.they never scimp on the portions and the staff are really nice . always worth a return visit .

This cafe is new and a breath of fresh air, a local cafe for local people. Breakfast is real good value and there afternoon tea is great experience. Staff are friendly polite and knowledgeable, always worth a return visit.

I've been to cafe 118 twice now, first for a Oreo milkshake which was really tasty and made fresh in front of me. My second visit was for breakfast which was also very tasty. The staff are also really friendly and despite going in on my own the staff were very talkative and helpful. Definately reccomend!

We visited Café 118 on a groupon deal for breakfast whilst on holiday in the area last July. We are going back again next month and cannot wait to return. The coffee and cooked breakfast are to die for !! The food is locally sourced. It is is hot, well presented and perfectly cooked. The service is prompt and staff friendly and cheerful. Bonus is free WiFi and also newspapers to read. Oh, and all at a superb price

We live just across the road from Cafe 118. I love going in on a weekend for a chat with the lovely Wendy and her husband Al. You won't find a better service or harder working couple to serve you delicious breakfasts and snacks and the coffee is excellent! They also support local businesses.

Local cafe serving fresh food and takeaway. The cafe is run by a husband and wife team who are really friendly and helpful. Decent breakfasts and coffee- definitely worth a visit. They also have guava Snapple- a rare find!!

We were asked which table we would like, and as soon as we had chosen, we were asked what sandwiches we wanted - there were about 20 different fillings to choose from. We were also given a non-alcoholic bucks fizz.We were then brought our sandwiches - very nice, along with a bowl of crisps and little pieces of salad.We then had scones with clotted cream.We were offered as much tea and coffee as we wanted, and nothing was too much trouble for the waitress.

Visited on a sunny Sunday and sat outside. The staff were very friendly and chatty, I had the large breakfast including excellent local butchers sausages and bacon. Excellent value at £5.50. Overall a really pleasant experience.

Parents recommended we go here as they live up the road. Really nice place and the friendliest staff you could hope for! A good menu and some of the best coffee I've ever had, especially the thick, rich mocha.Only thing I'd like to see is some more home made cakes, and maybe nice bottled soft drinks to compliment the cafe's style (old fashioned dandelion and burdock, ginger beer etc). My mum would happily supply you with home made cakes! ;-)Looking forward to heading back for a lazy Sunday morning.
