The best restaurants serving British food in Daventry East Midlands

Had a lovely lunch with beautiful home cooked food and cakes with such friendly staff. Was made very welcome and wish that I lived nearer to visit again such a gem of a place.

We visited with family and friends with most of us having the roast. The staff were fabulous, super friendly and a great selection of drinks available. The friends that ordered from the pub favourites option looked great and were really happy. The rest of us agreed the roast was not quite a £22 roast unfortunately. Not enough meat and potatoes and we were still hungry if we wouldn’t have had puddings. The quality was lacking for the price. All the photos I could find from reviews were from the previous owners which we had before and was very good. Thornby Red Lion is a stones throw away and offer a much higher quality roast. Will still go back but would just order from the other menu next time!

I wasn’t aware of CafeMonde before a friend suggested we meet up there for lunch. It’s hidden away down a little road and very rural and very pretty with great views and, if you love horses, you are in for a treat! It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat outside under the shade of a parasol. I was pleasantly surprised to see several vegan options on the menu and the food was well presented and appetising. I had the vegan hummus platter which was delicious. We all enjoyed our food. There was a good selection of drinks and some nice looking cakes (which we resisted!) Staff lovely and friendly and I will definitely return soon.

Fabulous Sunday lunch! I had the pithivier which was a great veggie option and my new favorite thing. My partner had the beef roast which was equally fabulous. Top class food and service. We will be back!

Stayed for a weekend in our motorhome, had a very friendly welcome from Lorna and Phil , we stayed on a lakeside pitch which included excellent fishing in the pitch price. Easy flat off road walk into Market Harborough with it's many pubs and restaurants, then an Uber back for £7.50 . The onsite cafe does excellent breakfasts and dinner . Look forward to returning

We love the Old Plough. Managers and staff are brilliant. The food is great and the price is very reasonable. We would highly recommend this pub.

Musical Birthday party had a burger with blue cheese and hand crafted chips Best ever then a private buffet .again fresh fab and tasty Food and Service here are beyond compare to London where the cost would have been at least double

Great , cosy pub in a beautiful corner with parking space. Service is fast, courteous, with a smile. Food looks and tastes homie, no surprises, just good ingredients and warm feelings

We had a great Mother’s Day lunch, 3 course meal with the mums. Food quality, service and drinks were excellent. It was our first time there We will definitely be going back again!
