Lovely spot to have lunch with the dogs after there walk.was really looking forward to my scone jame and clotted cream at £5.45 ,however when it arrived the scone was burnt and so dry I was glad I had tea to wash it down.

Lovely site, great access to local shops, pubs, lovely owner, great food in onsite cafe, good fishing, if you want it quiet ,(apart from the geese 😁) and quaint, look no further

Ordered Baked Beans on toast with cheese. Took and an age to come out, even though they weren't busy. It was STONE cold. When I politely mentioned this to the employees I was made to think I was being unreasonable. They put the food in the microwave to warm it up. It was then obliterated. I mentioned how bad it looked and tasted and was quite frankly treated with contempt.

Visit their website too get full details, but Waterloo Farm cater for touring caravans and campers as well as a few longer term residents. They also have cabins and a very fine café. Not too put to finger point on it ...the staff are fabulous. My wife and I had difficulty with the electrics having arrived with a caravan that was new to us. By the time we realised we had a problem it was after office hours. Nevertheless, the site manager drove from his home ½ an hour away to bring an extension cable. So impressed.

We went here in the motorhome to try out how well our grandchildren (6 year olds) would manage camping out in it. It’s not a family campsite, no facilities for children, all geared up for adults and fishing. A very quiet (they were beautifully quiet as we told them they needed to be due to fishing) walk around the lake got us a reprimand as ‘not insured’ for children ‘going over the bridge’!! Not friendly, and to be honest at £36 per night it was more than a gorgeous club site in Braithwaite a couple of weeks ago.

Would not recommend this site (especially the car park looking side) Rude staff, seems to be a mini hilter on a power trip. You cant seem to be able to breathe without him monitoring you. Dogs not allowed off lead for a second even to just pop out for a wee and back in, he's there in a threatening manner saying you'll be kicked off if you don't put them on a lead even just for that second. Furthermore, I think unprofessional to insult another paying caravan member saying they're very odd!!!! Also cameras pointing directly at the caravans this is surely a privacy issue?!? However this is the least of the problems, the main being the alcohol culture that seems to exist here - it's no wondering so many permanent residents have been kicked off - this place just seems to exist to depress and you may just leave with an alcohol dependency by the end 😅 you expect a relaxing environment when on holiday, you will not find that here! Of many examples I shall give you two ; 1. One morning the police had to be called in the early hours because of shouting and death threats between 2 residents, as if this wasn't enough there was a police chase around the caravans which subsequently ended with the resident crashing into a bank and the following scuffle and shouting carried on before he was taken away. 2. A permanent resident who was in and out at all hours clinking bottles, shouting, etc, if you had anxiety issues you'd leave here a jibbering mess and probably needd to book in for some therapy We will never return here again, if you're looking for an oppressive, depressing, alcohol fuelled location for you're getaway it would be perfect.

Breath of fresh air ... literally! Staff very good and welcoming. Having mobility issues, it most reassurring that the Ladies toilet was well adapted for my needs! Very nice alround! Damn good cheese scones and a great pot of tea! Thankyou .. 👍🙂 lots of space for staying over ..nice walks ..good fishing. Thankyou ..👍

Midweek break in Butterfly Lodge, the lodge is outstanding, the outlook over the lake is brilliant, my only criticism is the settee is not that comfortable. The meals we had were faultless, a lovely restaurant, friendly staff

Great location, very peaceful. Staff are all friendly and informative(there was an issue with the facilities a member of staff came around to all units to inform us ). The pitches are very generous. The site is well maintained. The shower rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean but a little dated . There's a walking and cycle trail accessed from the site (Brampton Valley Way). Market Harborough is a short walk away on the trail . Thank you, Waterloo Farm Leisure 👍. Would recommend.

Another circular walk - another stop for lunch. Today we had the Sunday Roast (Turkey and stuffing, mash, roasties, 3 veg and gravy. Fabulous - would highly recommend (best to book ahead for Sunday lunch). Friendly staff and great service.

Stopped off for a coffee and a cake whilst walking the Brampton Valley Way (Jan 24) Lovely setting, great coffee, cakes and service. Good value for money too. Full meals available as well as a selection of snacks, soft and alcoholic drinks too. I can see us walking here again many more times in the future. Just a couple of miles from Market Harborough 🚶‍♀️

Me and my family love to come here for a full english because it’s truly the best we’ve had. Always lovely service and great food, their coffees are delicious too :)

Stayed in caravan site this weekend. Really lovely site. Good fishing lakes. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Good facilities. Had Sunday roast - wow ! Is all I can say. Will definitely be returning soon. Only downside, no Wi-Fi.

What a great couple of days fishing. Perfect for those with motorhomes or caravans to pitch up by the lake and relax. The fishing was excellent probably the best session I have had in ages, loads of variety from barbel, carp, crucians, tench, bream, rud and roach, and a chub! I have never caught so many barbel. We will be back!!

Recently stayed here for bank holiday weekend left a night early. Don't get me wrong if your just adults booking its probably perfect. As for kids its a no go. Read the rules before coming for fishing to then be told no spodding which wasn't an issue. The kids come down to the first lake to me and my brother for 10mins "not fishing" which i didn't see a problem with to then be told they're not even aloud "i thought it was just fishing as stated in the rules" because of insurance purposes. So i give it a rest to go do some fishing with the kids on the kids lake. To my surprise is the least safe lake on the site. If the kids did fall in it would be a hell of a lot more difficult for them to get out etc need some proper pegs putting on the lake. Before even thinking about letting kids on there. Other than fishing there's nothing for the kids to do confined in one pitch space. if its the case just make the site adult only kids cannot even walk to the other site through to go to the kids lake they have be taken buy car ovbs with a adult. Its pathetic make it an adults only site and jobs done but i couldn't see my self booking this site again anytime soon long as the kids are still camping with us. The fishing on the main lake was great though toilets & pitches nice & clean only up of the trip tbf

Not good for disabled people getting to the lake from caravan site would be good if you could take car to fishing point but ok to get a pitch around the pond 🤨

They have camping nearby, also cabins on site, lovely walks nearby, great for walking the dog, lovely cafe.

My dad regularly goes there on fishing trips and i give him a wee visit when I'm not up too much. They are more than happy with me going to visit him and i usually grab a coffee on the way from their coffee shop. The lady in the cafe is always friendly and helpful. Lovely fishing spot if you want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Deffo recommend. The only thing i could recommend is a pub on site, then it would be perfect 👌

Fishing beside the lake. Grounds are looked after snd although tored and old fashioned facilities are very clean. Nothing has changed in 4 years spart from the price increase.

Only went for fishing but the lake is fabulous great fish stock average 5lb mark... pleasant. Cafe.

This is certainly worth a visit. Staff friendly reasonably priced. The owners wife recognised my mum and sister. So great attention to detail.

Stopped for an impromptu afternoon tea. Great service and flexibility. They were happy to accommodate dietary requirements. Lovely cakes for desert. Will visit again.

We booked to stay for a relaxing break over a weekend as we liked the look of the waterside pitches and we wasn't disappointed. The pitches are extremely spacious, the hosts are friendly and very helpful. The views of the lake and surrounding areas are lovely and you are only a few minutes drive from Market Harborough where the town is thriving with shops. Although we didn't dine in the cafe we did pop for a coffee, the staff were friendly and the cafe was clean. We enjoyed our short stay so much that we booked in for an extra night and we would've stayed longer work permitting, we will definitely return.

A great walk from Market Harborough along the old Northampton railway line to Waterloo Farm. Stop and have a drink or a meal. Eat outside or inside before continuing your walk or returning to Market Harborough.

This site is not family friendly whatsoever infact it s the complete opposite !the family site is a piece of ground roughly a quarter size of a football field sectioned into plots and believe me this is where you have to stay .Access to the lakes and fields are denied to children at all times !This site is geared up for fishing only yet they have the audacity to call it a family friendly site !!!! Being penned in this site you were made to feel like lepers and frowned upon for daring to bring children with you .Overall the site is picturesque but unfortunately due to having the kids with you you are not allowed to walk there. Rest assured myself and the 2 other families that came along with us will never return there ever again .Basically you pay good money to be cooped up like cattle and watch the elite roam free....Shocking!!@^

Stayed just for one night as a stopover on the way home. Lovely pitch by the lake. Easy to find off the A14.

Lovely stay and excellent cafe. The entrance and road down to the site could do with attention spesh the entrance. Otherwise lovely and peaceful.

WATERLOO FARM IS A GREAT PLACE FOR A WELCOME TEA AND CAKE BREAK AFTER A RIDE ALONG THE BRAMPTON WAY FROM MARKET HARBOROUGH. A POT OF TEA FOR TWO SERVED WITH REAL OLD TIME CUPS AND SAUCERS MAKE FOR A VERY HAPPY EXPERIENCE. IF THE WEATHER ALLOWS SITTING OUTSIDE IS BEST TO ENJOY THE COUNTRYSIDE

Was lovely being along the lake side.

Lovely lake but unfortunately lots of the fish have mouth damage. It's quite upsetting. Tea room is very dated which is probably why it attracts a lot of very old people and smells a bit of piss. Food is mass produced, very average snd overpriced. I found a long hair in my bacon and egg sandwich and watched one of the waitress's sneeze twice in her hands then serve cake without washing them. No access to get close to the fishing pegs and when the bailiff was questioned about this he said 'if you can't walk, you probably shouldn't go fishing'.

Can't fault it, lovely surroundings, great friendly staff. Super food at the tea room especially the cakes😉

Well worth a visit to this site especially if you are a keen fisherman like my husband. Well stocked lake with a variety of well kept fish. We stayed on Waterloo lakeside well spaced out large pitches great dog walk along the other lake. Shower block clean but could do with a revamp. Staff very friendly & will go out of there way to help you. Our first visit certainly won't be our last.

Great lake to park either motorhome or caravan around and fish from the awning almost. Good head of mixed fish including barbel, all types of carp, roach, bream, rudd and massive Dace

So lucky to have found this place, absolutely recommend anyone to stay here, especially lakeside, great value for money, great helpful staff who do their best to accomodate. Anyone staying here should not be disappointed. I should add it might be an idea to net the small pond and thin out the plague of roach fry.

Cafe food and drink is top notch. Staff are brilliant. Everything is home made and reasonable. Pensioners 2 course lunch for £11.95 or Specials for £9

What a gem.our first visit 03/0323 in our caravan here. Stayed on pitch 42 right next to the fishing lake. The cafe is excellent and staff are brilliant and friendly. When we first got onto site the warden took us to our pitch and fully explained everything very detailed and extremelyh elpful. Will be back soon

Great place to stop , when walking the old railway trail. Great cafe and seating outside, with great views of one of the ponds. Friendly staff and great food.

Nice place, laid back with great fishing lakes! Spacious pitches with water and EHU, plus grey waste point. Spacious toilets and showers and all at a reasonable price. We will re visit.

Lovely site with such a warm and informative welcome from the hosts. Easy access to the Brampton Way. Fully serviced pitch worked a treat. Highly recommend.

Friendly service and good range of cake, scones and savoury for "cycling coffee stop"

We have visited this campsite many times and love every minute of it. We only live 30 minutes away and once we have setup and sat back you could be anywhere in the country.Lovelly views,nice walks and very welcoming friendly staff.I would also recommend sunday lunch to anybody proper home made food and great value.

Didn't stay there. Walked part of Brampton Valley Way and had lunch there in cafe. Good menu.

Our first visit to Waterloo Farm, stay for a long weekend at the end of January. The lake side pitches are large and have lovely views in the mornings to wake upto. Perfect location to visit Market Harborough. Toilets were clean and warm. Had a really relaxing weekend, would recommend.

Easy access and fairly level pitch. Large shower rooms that were clean and tidy. Views were beautiful. Flat walk into the local town. Onside cafe was great with a good choice. No dogs allowed inside.

Fantastic site with fishing very friendly and helpful staff there is nothing that is to much trouble we have been going here for many years really nice tea room serving breakfast and food during the day steak night and Sunday dinner

Didn't visit the camping area but the cafe was welcoming and the coffee and cakes were good, if a little expensive. We had a snack lunch - very tasty!

Camped on one of the family pitches, facilities met our needs, very handy for the Brampton valley way, friendly and helpful staff, food looked very good in cafe on site but we had BBQ food so we'll have to try it next time, easy to find site. Happy to recommend

First time on this site for the wife and I in our caravan along with our friends in their motorhome. A frosty "welcome" from staff member Sharon?. Spoken to her for a couple of days and she seems arrogant and abrupt. The four of us wanted to use the tea room for meals but this Sharon has put us off as that's where she works so haven't been in there. Also, was looking for a site for Xmas for the four of us for 10 days but won't be back here.

I fish here...so cheap day ticket..easy to purchase in cafe bit. Plus as a bonus they do full English breakfasts and Sunday lunches which are good quality too. For me it has everything.

Stayed here many times and this time was the nicest,no geese poop quiet and really enjoyed the stay .the only things that let the rating down was the shower facility really needs updating and being charged extra for arriving 45 minutes early.

We stayed here due to the fishing lakes the pitch was huge that is the positives…. The negatives The paths were uneven and difficult if you have mobility problems, the Wendy house ( toilet & shower) was clean but a large room but the smallest of shower cubicles, it was a bit tired in areas, the tearoom was quaint not a lot of choice we opted for the special board just three choices, Chips, egg & GAMMON … we got a few chips, salad , egg & cold HAM not Gammon as stated ….Then we had guests a family of rats in broad daylight and a sleepless night and noise under our van all night led us to leave early very disappointed ☹️

Good size pitches, can't put up a owning or drive on the grass, nice café and a good retro shop on site, my main problem is you are asked not to book in before 2pm, which is too late as have the day is gone, I didn't find out until I had booked and paid and got told off by the Mrs, but I didn't know till I had booked. That was my only gripe everything else was fine, I probably wouldn't go again as the latest we like to book in is noon have a meal and ready for a ramble.

This was our first visit and I can honestly say there is nothing I can fault. Wellington Lakeside pitches are massive and include two people fishing in the price. There is water, electric and grey waste drainage for each pitch. The site is very clean and tidy. All the staff are happy and friendly and spare the time of day to chat whenever they see you and can’t do enough to help.The food in the cafe is excellent and reasonably priced. There is also the Green Cabin that’s stocks fishing tackle and other odds and ends you may need. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We have just spent the last 3 nights at Waterloo Farm. It has been a fantastic experience. Clean, Well managed, The fishing was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Special Thanks to Philip...an asset to the Company. We stayed lakeside on a massive pitch and have thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. We will definitely be returning.

Peaceful site.clean toilets and showers. Staff polite and helpful .fishing straight from the large pitches .large field to let dogs off leads .we didn't use the cafe but the food looked lovely .we will definitely visit again .l

Stayed for 4 nights lovely lakeside in the motorhome, nice cafe and shop, ehu, water, grey and chemical waste station ..very well kept, good size bathroom/toilet/shower rooms, nice big hard standing pitches right next to the lake with 2 fishing pitches per vehicle . Stayed at waterloo lakeside on the wellington lake about 6 times and looking to book again soon. Inbetween i fish the waterloo lake on a day ticket..luv it there..just read up on the site rules if thinking of booking there regards fishing.

Visit on a sunny day and walk around the lake. Cheese scones are 5 star. Cheese scones still first class

Went with friends for Sunday lunch. Absolutely amazing Roast Beef & Trimmings. With decent size portions and a selection of vegetables. The service was friendly and efficient. A beautiful countryside setting and the perfect way to spend the afternoon. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to enjoy an excellent roast with superb service!

Great service. Really friendly. Stopped off on the way back from the East Coast. Brilliant. Much better than stopping at the services.
