Unassuming traditional industrial park canteen but so much more. Lovely salads, fresh fish, clean and very reasonably priced. Tables down either side seating four and a loo to boot.

Visited on Friday evening and the Tables, carpets, bar and even the staff were all filthy. The place needs a really good deep clean! We left our meals as we couldn’t eat them due to being put off by the uncleanliness of the place. Needs shutting down and refurbing.

When you walk into a pub first impressions are important. Seeing lots of empty glasses not cleared from the bar, or unoccupied tables still full of uneaten food and dirty plates does not inspire confidence in the management of the pub. Unfortunately this was the scene we were met with on an early Thursday evening. There are numerous menu options availed, ‘the greatest pie’, the two course offer or the standard menu. We both choose from the standard menu, a mixed grill and a scamp. Both were ok, without being anything special. What is the point in asking how you would like the steak cooked and then delivering it well done when you asked for medium. I we won’t be rushing back.

Really great friendly pub with good drinks and great wholesome food. Friendly staff and the steak and ale pie is amazing! We went to another pub in the village the night after which has better Trip Advisor ratings and it was such a disappointment in comparison

Stayed here whilst visiting family. Both the pub and hotel are spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. And would definitely stay again, Only issues we had was the breakfast was very slow service, took an hour both days from sitting to getting our food, it took a long time to order drinks, then food, and then for drinks and food to arrive. - although the breakfast menu was excellent and the food delicious. I think this could stop me having breakfast here again as it was really unnecessary to be so slow there was no one else there. Also had an evening meal here too and that was also very nice.

Used to serve great food and have good atmosphere. Not any more. The fish & chips was lousy. My partner had a vegetarian roast and the vegetables were over cooked and tasteless. The nostalgic music radio made matters worse. The place needs some reinvention: it looks and feels tired!
