Saltbox Bar for the lauch of Mollis fried chicken kitchen takeover. If you didn't already know, Mollis is known for their ULTIMATE fried chicken on derby road next to Alchemilla by Alex Bond chef Saltbox have teamed up with Mollis for a 3 month kitchen take over in Bolero Square next to the entrance of Motorpoint Arena Nottingham Its available every Friday and Saturday evening from May to July. We chose a couple of chicken burgers. One with Nashville hot oil fried chicken miso ranch, beer pickle, lollo rosso, furikake. The other,Classic southern fried chicken kewpie mayo, pickles, lettuce, cheese sauce. A side of Fries, house seasoning topped with parmesan. Pink fir potato, truffle curd, crispy onions and a roasted garlic mayo sauce. They also serve some amazing chicken wings, either 6 or 12 in two delicous coatings. If you've not managed to make it out of the city to try them before. Theres no excuse now, as you can pop in when you go to a nearby event or you just want some really good chicken in the town. You can even order it to take-away.

We decided to go in for Sunday lunch before going home we have a static caravan. We have 2 Foster girls one of which is only 4 we were ordering food from a young lady who was very abrubt, the 4 year old was trying to look over the counter by holding the top and pulling herself up as children do when she gave her a dirty nasty look we had told her to stop so she did but the lady serving was still giving her a dirty look my wife said to her she is only 4 and we have told her to stop she started to argue back and said it's cost us alot of money to make that counter, my wife walked off before it got out of hand but all through the meal she kept giving my wife a dirty look also an elderly lady told her the beef was very tough only to be told well you are not chewing it properly, unbelievable, we are definitely not going back and will tell others not to the worst service we have ever had

Took 15 minutes to reach the front of the queue of 5 people, not enough staff on duty. Staff advised against purchasing a mince pie @ £1.50 each as they thought they were too expensive. The cakes looked nice but at £4.50 per slice were too expensive too.

Disappointing. No hot dinners being served. Nice panini but service not great. This used to be quite a reliable place for a decent lunch/dinner but nowadays not so much.

Muy bonito pub de campo inglés. Techos de vigas bajas en el interior. Personal amable. La comida era tradicional "pub grub" pero se servía caliente y buenas porciones. La caña de Gammon se cayó del hueso, era tan tierna.

We visited at lunch time today and bought a hot turkey Christmas cob with roast potatoes. ..not the cheapest option but it looked good However by the the time we had queued for hot drinks and to pay for our food and drink our meal was at best luke warm. As my friend said, we would have been better going for the cheaper option of the cold turkey cobs. The food needs to be on hotter plates and to be served at a hotter temperature at the time if serving. More staff might be a good idea too I did mention it to a member of staff but they didn't seem interested. I wouldn't go again for this sort of meal

Just orded a Ultimate breakfast with uber eats and a jacket potatoes with cheese for my wife. I did not receive ANY fried bread or hash browns. The food was served in a tiny box all sat on top of each other. I have taken pictures of what I received I'm totally disgusted. My wife's jacket was uncut sat on cold salad that had sent it soggy and no butter. The jacket was that cold the cheese would not melt. It cost £17. Im totally in shock at just how bad this was. I will never order again

What an absolutely gorgeous 3 course Sunday lunch. Cannot fault the food, service and atmosphere. The “Pork& Chorizo” Scotch Egg starter was delicious as were the Scallops my wife had. For main I tucked into one of the best Roast Pork I have ever tasted! For puds there was in my opinion only one item on the menu to pick … Caramelised Apple Crumble with custard … yum yum! Cannot recommend The Old Pheasant enough now it’s under new ownership … big round of applause to Damon and Chef Robert.

Having to place this review under this page as the name changed to Beachcomber Inn many years ago but for some reason it hasn’t been updated on trip advisor. Me, my husband and stepson recently came to Butlins for the festive wonderland break (in between Christmas and new year) we have been to the beachcomber inn before however it was 2018. On one particular visit it was just me and my husband who came for breakfast. We had toast each, cereal each, a latte and an americano and it came to around £11. It is slightly more expensive than a pub chain outside a resort but that’s fine, it’s to be expected. Nothing really to report on breakfast as it would have been difficult to get wrong! Another visit we came for our lunch.. my stepson just had a bowl of chips as he doesn’t always have the best of appetites, my husband had the mixed grill and I got a jacket potato with chilli and a separate portion of cheese. Unfortunately the cheese was missed off my order so we had to request it and when we originally placed the order for the jacket potato we were told that i could not have one because it was after 3pm however on the menu it does not state this. Anyway to cut a long story short the kind lady behind the bar put the order through for me. It’s an average pub with average pub grub, don’t expect the ritz and you won’t be disappointed l.
