Sun Castle in East Lindsey

Decided to give this a shot as it is advertised as a family bar with entertainment. One of our party has allergies/intolerances so needed to check the ingredients on menu. A young man (wish I had his name) struggled to find relevant info but he did check and eventually managed to find info sheets and bring to our table. Food ordered and didn't wait too long and it was lovely and hot. Unfortunately no one attempted to clear our table for over an hour forcing us to move to another one so the childrens entertainer could be enjoyed by us all and yes we did enjoy the corny jokes! The soft play was also used and kept grandchild happy but it really needs a deep deep clean it was disgusting in places.

The Suncastle is a family friendly place to go with childrens entertainment usualy 7pm to 9pm then adult entertainment. It can get fairly busy especially at the weekend,there is a bar on the upper level which is usualy less busy and you can still see the entertainment. The staff are friendly and the food is not bad. If its busy sometimes you have to wait 45 mins-1 hour so order fairly early.

Had chips and cheese added bacon it was delicious, chips properly crispy, cheese loads of it and the bacon crispy just how it should be

Great value for money carvery on Sunday. All food was clearly fresh. Staff were lovely and friendly. Would love to return if ever back in Skegness!

Excellent food, all five of us finished our meals and enjoyed them, lots of choice on the menu, prices are on par with other places in Skegness. and lots of seating areas available, they had entertainment on later for the kids, allow dogs in if they on a lead and behaved we had no problems with ours

I would like to know who hired the staff here! Every single staff member had no people skills, were rude, unhelpful and very unwelcoming!!! Needs sorting out!

I can't say enough about the Suncastle- the staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, great quality and hot. Nice big soft play for the kids, lively entertainment. Great value for money. Sunday carvery was superb, portions on all the food are really generous. Prices are very reasonable. Suncastle is very clean and welcoming. We were in Skegness for the week and this is the one place we kept coming back to over several days. I would definitely recommend for all the family.

The Loaded chips was the best I’ve tried… Love them will definitely be back very soon please don’t ever change them or take them of the menu

Came in today was going to get lunch with my family and take my daughter to the soft play. I asked the lady behind the bar if the soft play was open she said “I don’t know”, how doesn’t your member of staff know whether it’s open or not. She didn’t tell me times or anything that the soft play was open she was interested in even telling me. So I left never bothered to have food here.

The place is massive, can be very busy don't expect meals in a flash, usually a notice up saying waiting time, We've had meals and Sunday Carvery all been very good, entertainment is great for the children, have good singers on for adults, large play area for children upstairs, large seating area inside and out, in season singers on outside in afternoon. Staff staff are very friendly. Highly Recommend.

Used to come here as kids when we were staying locally. Not what I remember at all. Empty in the middle of the day on a Friday, just a local radio station playing (no live music) and all in all a bit off putting. Not the vibrant and exciting place I remember. We paid nearly £50 for 2 baguettes, chips and 2 kids meals. The food was hot and arrived quickly but was rather lacking in flavour. Most expensive meal of our holiday and probably the worst experience. Only the vouchers for free soft play for the kids from the local guide book made the visit worthwhile. Probably won’t come back.

We went to the scooter rally in April to watch the amazing Marquis Drive at this venue... It's the perfect place to watch a live band and they blew the roof off The venue is massive and is perfect place to spend time and have a laugh with friends.

If you expect a nice filling Sunday lunch do not visit here. Paid bloody 9 pounds for a carvery and was told we could only have 2 roast potatoes. My partner didn’t even have any meat with the meal due to medical reasons… he was allowed one extra roast potato ? Absolutely appalling and we still had to go elsewhere afterwards to actually eat.

This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone with children. They have a big three storey soft play centre inside that the kids absolutely loved. It is so spacious inside with seating available upstairs as well as downstairs. The castle theme inside is continued with tapestries and such and gives a really great vibe. It is very clean, both in the main areas and in the toilets. The menu has a very good selection and is decently priced as well. We visited as a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 children). The food is good quality, freshly cooked, hot and really generous portions given. The kids menu can also be paid to 'stay and play' so you pay a little extra for the soft play wristband at a discounted price. Of course, you can just buy the wristband for the soft play without having a meal- we had 2 days where we popped in just for drinks and bought the wristbands for the soft play. The thing that kept us coming back most of all, though, was the great staff. They are really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They work so hard to make sure that you have a nice time there.

First of all I want to say this is not a complaint about the venue, the food or any other staff member but a certain individual. This individual was an gentleman with dark hair and glasses, possibly in his late 30’s to early 40’s but you’d think he was older due to his apparent short term memory loss! When I first ordered my food I had to repeat my order to this gentleman at least 4/5 times so as you can imagine I was quite shocked to find that when the food came a part of my order was missing (fish fingers, smiley faces and beans) I mentioned this to the server who promptly came back to tell me that actually I had not paid for this item. I proceeded to show him my bank statement to show the amount I had just paid and was shocked to see that he did not believe me and totted the amount up himself and to his shock he told me “I was right and that I had paid” after telling me this he then found my ticket which showed I had paid for 3 meals however…… my receipt some how showed a pizza and chips with beans not the fish fingers, smiley faces and beans I had ordered. Now 1 key part of this complaint is that I then repeated a further 3/4 times the order was FISH FINGERS WITH SMILEY FACES AND BEANS.. Well you could imagine the shock I got when f***ing chicken nuggets with chips and f***ing beans came out and not what I had ordered! This was brought out by a young man who apologised sincerely and not the gentleman who had made multiple mistakes!!!! During all this my child sat hungry and had to eat alone when his food was eventually brought out! This guy was that bad that if we didn’t laugh at his absolute idiocy we would have cried! What makes it worse is that I then found out that he was the supervisor on shift! I don’t usually complain about anything but he was a shambles and did not give a single apology just an accusation of not paying and me making the mistake. If he had repeated my order back to me at the beginning that I had told him by this time 550 times it could have been sorted and not lead to this ridiculous service from this man! The venue is great, the beer is good, the food is fantastic and the kids love it. So again this is simply due to the incompetence of a single individual! Everyone but him were great! I will be back, if this man attempts to serve me I will simply wait for someone else!

We had our work Christmas party that coincided with a friends 50th birthday, we had a 3 course meal and we all enjoyed each course, one of our party was gluten free and the staff were extremely accommodating. The meal was cooked to perfection, it was hot and you could tell it was all fresh veg. The DJ ( S&S entertainment) and band ( Code Red) were excellent and knew exactly what to play to get people dancing. All the staff were helpful and polite on what was a really busy night. A fantastic evening, enjoyed by all and I really hope they doit again next year 😀🎄

Great little place my son loved the soft play and the food was fantastic really enjoyed our visits while we where in skegness for a holiday

First time I have been to ask leave a pub at 9.30 in the evening. Do they want our tourist trade or not . Think we’ll go up the sea view instead.

August Bank Holiday Saturday afternoon, found a bench out front in the sun, the old school Theakstons was excellent 👌 double Malibu & coke £9, entertainment was provided by a solo singer knocking out old reggae classics which got a few up dancing, he then turned DJ playing Skinhead Moonstomp, Green Onions, Longshot & Liquidator plus other classic stuff, another round of drinks fetched, will be getting another visit later today.

Went today 28th august 21, we walked in and where the car very is lids was on but there was a coat with a fur hood thrown on top of lids and a male member of staff was eating a subway which was also placed over lids food I’d say 6 out of 10 kids chicken nuggets was a funny colour inside and the fish was stringy

Called in for lunch but did not cater for the wife who is intolerant to gluten and did not try to help at all all answers were NO

Visited on a hectic bank holiday weekend just as the nation was easing out of COVID restrictions. Staff were compliant with legislation but as friendly and accommodating as possible. Kebab was banging and I always enjoy a decent pint!

Called sat outside on a Friday late afternoon The country singer was awful but felt sorry for him when an intoxicaed man got up to sing with him put his arm around him and was dancing taking the microphone A big no no given the covid restrictions and opening outside weekend Credit to singer he allowed him to do this shameful behaviour More inforcement was needed but given the clientele I wouldn’t of wanted to approach many The pages Instagram looks quite classy so was looking forward to a visit One drink was more than enough Most of the staff appeared lovely tho

Visited the Suncastle alone for a drink on Saturday afternoon 24/10/2020.Upon arrival was immediately seated at a table in the main groundfloor area of the Pub by the friendly waitress.Ordered an excellent pint of Worthingtons Bitter shandy which was served within minutes.The pub was decorated brilliantly with Halloween decorations which added to the friendly chilled ambience of the pub.Although some people may say that the Suncastle is dated as it has changed very little in the many years I have been visiting I disagree.The pub which is in the shape of a castle has a large groundfloor seating area with a stage and dancefloor at one end and the bar at the other.The ceilings which are very high have metal girders and a clear perspex roof.Upstairs there is a smaller bar with an adjoining soft play area which is ideal for families.The Suncastle is full of character and very warm and inviting.It is a breath of fresh air from the characterless plastic non entity pubs which seem to dominate todays pub scene.In my opinion and hopefully within my lifetime the pub will stay exactly as it is.It does not need to change and hopefully it wont.It is a truly awesome pub and my favourite pub in Skegness.Both waitresses who were on duty during my visit and during my previous weekend visits in september and October 2020 were very friendly and polite offering good speedy service and observing the current Covid rules.Long may the pub continue.

Went on Saturday 17th October and had food. Ordered fish and chips. Fish was raw and chips were undercooked. How can you not be able to cook something as simple as fish and chips. Asked to speak to the cook but was told no. Rude staff and very unhelpful. Would not recommend to anyone

Fundamentally, the Suncastle building is owned by ELDC, and is in a very prominent position in Skegness, so surely ELDC should be helping invest in the building ? Private businesses, which is what this is run as, have had a tough time over the last few years, it finds it hard to make any money to reinvest, as I understand.

Took my little boy here today, we live local and have never visited, we had planned to have a meal and a few drinks, once we actually worked out which entrance was unlocked I was shocked to find a very dirty, sticky carpet place, we sat at a table which was sticky so we tried 2 more tables but all the same, and the chairs are all heavily stained. My 3 year old went to play in the kids play area and I am glad I went with him, I found mould and old sweets and food between the soft play mats and the whole framed area in desperate need of a good clean. This totally put me and my wife off ordering food. So we left. Such a shame, £15 on cleaning products and a days cleaning this could be a nice place, it's dated but has charm and the venue downstairs looks like it holds good night's but it's very dated. We won't be returning here again, and merely my opinion I would rather use captain kids 5 minute walk towards the peer.

Fantastic softplay and family entertainment for Halloween party. Bought first drinks from downstairs bar which was fine. Second drinks from upstairs bar, barmaid tried to charge double the price, when we tried our drinks did not taste right, took them back and spoke to barmaid who served drinks, fobbed off , did not enjoy and doubt had a full measure in drink as tasted of nothing , same barmaid needs to loose attitude, concentrate on her customers and not family/friends. Whilst not put of returning will be selective who I served by

This place is spoilt why the allow children in is beyond me they are very forceful and willful and adults are not allowed in the soft play area disgraceful and disgusting and it's a pity you cant camp there over night a large Pepsi with ice used to be £3 is now £3,30 or 20 but the will add ice if required get this sorted immediately no complaints about the delightful food

Went to the Suncastle Friday 20th September to the Graham Bonnet concert. What a shambles this was. Got There for the doors to open at 7pm,didn't open them till7.25 left to stand outside in the small queue in the cold,got inside to find hardley any seats nobody was checking tickets, we got ours on line £16.50 including booking fee to find the people near us hadn't even paid anything just walked in along with quite a few others. There was 2 other bands on compete & utter rubbish not even tuned up there instruments so had to stand & listen to them tuning up. Tut. The venue was for too small for the racket being made & the girl singer I don't want to see on stage kissing the back of the guitarist neck ugh.Graham Bonnet well what can I say about him we CRAP comes to mind. Had he hurt his back or was he drunk,it wouldn't be the first time. You don't sit on a stool when you have a bad back, I know I've got one. Went off after half hour of rubbish. It was far too loud I put tissue in my ears & still overbearing. UTTER RUBBISH.

Called a couple of times late afternoon, Nice friendly ladies behind the bar. Outside seating area was great, The only thing was having to go up the spiral staircase to the bar. Whilst this was not a problem to us we saw a few older people leave because they could not manage the stairs. Maybe a bell or intercom at the bottom of stairs would help.We enjoyed our time here :) :)

Clean & comfortable with cheerful & efficient staff. £2.50/pint is good value for these drinks.Good beer garden & close to nice beach & bowling greens.Menu is varied & looks tempting.

Nice place, good entertainment, decent bar prices, friendly staff, great kids entertainer she throws herself into it, food is good.

We turned up with family as thought kids could run around the play area and let off a little steam. Only 6 or 7 tables inside in use as weather is tip top at the moment.. we decided what food we was having and went to order from bar... three staff stood talking about how one of them had banged her mouth on something..then we get acknowledged and just said can we order food and woman snapped back it's over an hour wait. We decided that it's ok to wait as only ordering kids food so they could play. Asked for our table number and we have them the wrong table number by mistake and was rudely and sarcasticly spoken to by the lady taking our order. We have been using the suncastle for many years and have seen things slowly decline. On a bank holiday this place used to be rammed. Couldn't even go up stairs as it was locked this time. Think we dodged a bullet with the food to be honest.. she didn't even ask what food we wanted just snapped over an hour wait!!. Former good place gone badWill never return again.

We decided as a large group yesterday to go have something to eat this included 3 young children. The first group of 7 that ordered were told a 20 minute wait (that’s fine) the 2nd group of 4 were told an hour literally being served after the first group. Always a bad start. Luckily all the kids food was ordered first. The 20 minute wait turned into an hour with 3 very ratty very hungry children this was not good. Trust me the place wasn’t even that busy. The 2nd group eventually got theirs after 90 minutes!! The first group were done and ready to go so we went to ask where our food was ready to get a refund and go to maccas when we were greeted by staff members laughing and eating/standing around not really doing an awful lot!!! The food wasn’t too bad apart from cheap chicken but you will most definitely have to wait for it!!!

We visited on a Monday evening during the summer holidays at around 7.30 pm, intending to have a meal for my daughter's 6th birthday, and she had her heart set on pizza and dancing, having visited last year and enjoyed the food.We ordered a round of drinks whilst selecting our food and whilst my daughter and her younger sister did some dancing.When I went to the bar to order food, I was told the wait would be between 90-100 minutes! Clearly this was unacceptable and had we known we would not have ordered drinks and would have immediately gone elsewhere. Surely there should have been some sort of sign advising of the waiting time or that, effectively, food was no longer being served. The place did not look especially busy but admittedly we did not look upstairs.Fortunately, the evening was salvaged by Happy Meals at the nearby McDonald's.The girls enjoyed their dancing and games but would have liked to stay longer. However, what I did notice was that prizes were repeatedly handed out to older children - some clearly in their teens - whilst younger children, mine included, were continually overlooked by the entertainment staff.

by far the worst place i have ever eaten food! i had the fish and chips only had a couple of bites and was physically sick aftwards and for the rest of the day, the food portions were what you would give a child there was 6 chips on 1 adult plate so it was returned for a refund the rest of the food came out 2 and half hours after we orderd and one of these was a sandwhich god knows why it took so long but the bread was stale yet warm and the meat chewy and unediable we did complain and recived free drinks but then was questioned on the free drinks they offered the staff seemed nice enough but they are very understaffed ill be suprised if it stays open much longer.

Popped in tonight for a drink nice atmosphere. Kids entertainment was on some party dances and fun and games.

Came for an annual visit with local friends to find NO entertainment at all on a Saturday night, no sofas - cheap and nasty sparsely spaced tables and chairs. No atmosphere at all. We’ve had some fabulous times here in the past but won’t bother again. Bad news! Gutted!

We had a nice table for the fifteen of us but from then on it went down hill and we went early as children were with us, we waited an hour for our food and then they forgot a meal and everyone had eaten theirs, husband got them to take meal off the bill, the food is pretty average to be honest!!

Brilliant service from the one barstaff working the upstairs bar lady with grey highlights in hair don't know her name but works her arse off clearing,cleaning tables running bar, sorting kids, food orders etc now for the moan suncastle sort it out need more staff poor lass was run off her feet 3stars suncastle 5stars++++ for the one member of staff that was there

Great place for kids especially the play area, Pity there was only one young girl on the top bar, Natalie, who was very stressed but still managed to smile and be very helpful x

This is the worst and most dangerous soft play I’ve ever been to!! Once the kids go in, everything is beneath ground and they cannot be seen. There are no stairs type parts for the kids to climb back up from the levels, they have to climb onto little platforms and then pull themselves up onto the floor above.

Visited this place for lunch yesterday,place wasnt to bad,Problem was we only ordered soup of the day for a quick meal,40 minutes later still no sign of food,when we questioned it we were told,the chef is just making a fresh batch,which was fare enough but surely that should have been done for opening time,not an hour later,we did eventually get it,and it was very very nice,but the fact we ended up having to rush it,as we had limited time just wasnt good.Also the state of the Toilets leaves alot to be desired.

It’s absolutely filthy and mouldy walls and damp it’s the worst soft play I’ve ever been to avoid at all costs

Came in today as used to be one of my favourites when we had family visiting. Children’s entertainment was always good,and it used to be a cheap pint and and the play area was £2 all day. Changed considerably,lints have gone up, it was quiet anyway, but before I paid £2.99 for my little granddaughter and her cousin which would have been £4, I told them to check out the play area, as it might not have suited my granddaughter. The lady behind the bar followed everyone as if we were criminals:(. I did explain why I wasn’t yet paying, so we drank up pretty quick and left for a better place. Unfortunately we will now not go back this year as we think it’s not the place it once was :(

We went to the Suncastle the other day and wanted a snack meal and drink.We had Egg and chips and a Baguette and they were very nice.We noticed that each table was cleaned after each customer left which we found very good.We had been in another pub and both the table and floor were dirty which puts you off.They also allows is in which is really good.

Very well kept beers served by friendly young ladies. A pleasure to sit in a comfortable room with the sea almost a stones throw away. The menu looked tempting & food was highly recommended. We did not eat as meals were booked at our hotel. Happy hour at £2 /pint started at 5pm. Will call again to savour the fare. Thank you for the hospitality.

We visit during a busy sunday in the summer. Place had football on . Play area for kids and reasonable drinks prices . We had good quality meal also . Will bw returning

The strawberry and rhubarb cider beautiful would recommend good area for children and very good entertainment every evening and free entry

Visited here during school holidays with our dog. We weren't allowed through the bottom part with our dog even though it was empty so we walked around to the front and up the steps. Was empty only 1 family in. We both ordered cheese and ham paninis which came with salad. They arrived quickly and were so tasty ! Salad was lovely too, not tight with anything we both thoroughly enjoyed lunch. Will be back again.

My wife and I have been visiting Skegness for many years and always visit the Suncastle to see what is on. However, this tear we were very disappointed with the entertainment (Karoake) as the accoostics were poor and the drinks very expensive

Came to the Suncastle after a day in Skegness kids were well entertained in the play area the singer outside was amazing but what really made our afternoon was the bartender Jordan he was so friendly chatting and playing with my boys and really made their afternoon thanks Jordan we will be back to see you

We visited here for lunch, myself, my husband and the kids (5 & 2). The staff seemed to very flustered despite the fact it was not at all busy, and were quite abrupt with us. My husband had the chicken burger, which he described as “distinctly average”, the kids meals were ok (but how wrong can you go with fish fingers and smiley faces?) and my lasagne was a bit of a joke! One layer of pasta, a small bit of meat and topped with what seemed like a whole block of melted orange cheddar. The pub redeems itself slightly by allowing children all day access into its soft play are included in the price of the children’s meal, however I can’t comment on whether it is again good as I was reluctant to spend money on more drinks after our lunch experience so we didn’t take up the offer. It seems to me to be a prime example of a pub that relies on seasonal guests so has no incentive to make it a good experience as they know that more will be along next week!

Everything is perfect except for one problem I get accused of gawping if I'm looking round at the lovely TV ect according to two members of staff and some customers I'm gawping can't be looking at TV act I'm apparently gawping I have to gently move my head if my neck gets sore been told to by the Dr no questions asked I,m gawping looking where I'm going gawping yes I look up while I,m waiting I'm hard of hearing so won't nessarily hear people coming /hearing aids make all songs louder / but no its gawping standing still to gain balance gawping I can't come any more but I'm gonna miss this place and the decent members of staff but I get this treatment where I live I don't want it hear as well you can get a large Pepsi with ice hear £3 which is appreciated I pub that does not mind adults drinking soft drinks its like a home from home but I can't come any more also they open at 11.30 times elsewhere say 11.00 which needs sorting

This place has great nostalgia for me, most holidays in skeggy from 88-94 would include a visit here so I wanted my daughter to have a similar memento. It's alright. Food is typical bar type affair and not bad but not overly great either. Main attraction is something the kids can do whilst you pass time. As I sit in here now (sad to write a review now but single parent with daughter in the play area you get a little bored) were in the middle of a 'heatwave and this place is not ideal in this type of weather. No air con and practically a green house with the window roof everywhere, it's a little unbearable, just a heads up.

We popped into The Suncastle today as a birthday meal for my Mum, with the added benefit of being child AND dog friendly. When we arrived around 6:30pm, we found the children's entertainment was in full swing with disco games and small sweet prizes. At one point even the parents got involved with the added incentive of a free drink to whoever won the child and parent dance contest. Unfortunately it wasn't me! I found the lady entertainer really good at her job as you can tell she loves doing what she does. All of the children really enjoyed themselves. Only negative side to this, was how ridiculously loud the entertainment music was. Due to this I have only given the pub 4 stars.

This place is easy to miss because it is towards the end of the main strip along the sea front. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are clean. We went here two days running to eat. First day I had sausages and mash and hubby had pie and chips, both were excellent, then next day we both had burgers, he had the Texan burger and I had the loaded burger, and they were amazing. We sat in the garden because we had our dog with us, but there is also a room inside where you can eat and have your dog with you, just not through to the actual restaurant obviously, and there are plenty of tubs of water for dogs to drink. We absolutely loved this place and can't recommend it highly enough.

Regularly go to this amazing venue for the Subb-Sonic events amazing venue, the staff are great and really friendly they do Sunday lunches and have child play areas something for everyone at the Suncastle

We called in as we have used this eatery before and enjoyed it.I ordered a Rump Steak and my wife ordered a Jacket Potato."I don't want any salad or coleslaw though" she said as I won't be able to eat it if it has any on.Don't worry said the person serving at the bar I will make sure there is none on.It arrived and on both plates was a portion of salad and coleslaw.I don't mind salad but dislike coleslaw and my wife sent hers back.To be fair the plate was changed within seconds.My meal was lovely but the mistake with my wife's meal left us with mixed feelings about a return visit.Coleslaw should be asked for by the customer,not put on every plate as a matter of course.

I have been a visitor to Skegness for over 40 years and have only just visited the Suncastle! It's just a short walk from the funfair and arcades, and if you have children it's well worth a visit.

I can honestly say (and I never usually write a review) ive never spent £45 on a meal for a family of 4, to not eat anything other than chips.

As we stayed opposite the sun castle we thought we would try it out, very family orientated with great entertainment. Especially enjoyed Karl.

I have never been so pissed of waiting over an hour had half for are food we had a different table of food almost put in front of us we then had to wait about 30 mins to still get are food with some of the order wrong some of us are ok with the food and 2 of ony ate it as we was hungry. The decor could do with a change. I wouldn't come back.

Very nice helpful & friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay in Skegness & good value especially if you are travelling as a family

Food was absolutely appalling. I had pasta which was overcooked and falling apart. Tomato sauce was very watery. Other half had a Burger stack where every element was barely short of being cremated. Deep fried onion rings and chicken cooked roughly twice as long as needed. Beef burger hard and dry. Received refund and won't call again.

Happy hour at the Suncastle serving pints @ £2 each is great - Nice area and wedding hosint capabilities too

Had my daughters birthday party here. The staff made a real effort to make the room look fit for a princess. The children all enjoyed their food and my daughter had a great time with her friends. The staff were brilliant and I would recommend this place to all families.

Its very good and its open all year now excellent food BUT when I went earlier in the week at 11,00am it was still shut and this is the time its supposed to open I hope they don't keep this attitude up discusting but if you can get in good food excellent

when here a while back with some friends and it took them over an hour to do 2 mixed grills and a burger and chips the itself was nice but i think they need work on their waiting times.

popped in at teatime for a beer and snack. opted for the steak sarnies, which were very nice and filled a gap

Went here hoping to get some food as barstaff said they serve until 9 arrived at 745 to be told the chef had gone home

Had a look in for old times sake on the Bank Holiday weekend Saturday It was packed to the rafters with family's & pushchairs & full of kids running around think there was some kids type entertainer on, didn't hang around we where gone? Bank Holiday Monday around 12 dinner think we where the first in drinks where good got a bench on the front & no kids around ....... superb.

Ooh my word went in here for nostalgic reasons and what a rubbish tip!!!!! Upstairs i know its for families but honestly the floor was just a sea of rubbish and food.Trying to find a place to put my feet was almost impossible. My husband got a jack d and coke and was told he would have to walk downstairs if he wanted ice.I had white wine and lipstick...well the glass i got was covered in someone elses!!!! Honest i couldn't wait to leave..Shame because i used to love taking my daughter here and the singer last night would have been good to listen to if i could have faced staying a minute longer

Every year me and family come here on an evening. It's the only place in Skegness that has something decent for the kids. 7 till 9 they do kids entertainment and there's a little play gym. We love it here. From 9 they have adult entertainment. My friend got hypnotised one night which was brilliant and hilarious

We went for a meal myself and my husband and our two children they loved it and myself and my husband were at ease because the kids could play in the play area and we could see the kids and relax too

Very good place to go with kids enjoyed the food which was lovely and freshly cooked did not have to wait long for service even tho it was a busy day friendly staff and very helpful and the kids really loved the play area and kids entertainment prices are reasonable they do a kids deal @ £4.95 food plus kids play all day in the play area . Worth a visit.

Came here with the family for brunch and we wasn't disappointed. It's a nice venue, very clean, loads of seating. There's a really good play area for the kids which you have to pay for, it's only a pound extra if you order per child from the kids menu. So the kids are entertained well. We ordered few paninis and baguettes. Which were quite nice, my partner had the chicken and chorizo and l had the steak baguette. Mine was nice, although the baguette could have been baked a bit more and we was supposed to get crisps with our but they never came. Above all the food was nice, the kids were all entertained. A positive experience.

Great for kids entertainment but needs investment. Too loud and speakers are crackling. Children enjoyed it, so did some adults but not us unfortunately.

Visited one evening just as the children's entertainment was starting. There is a family atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The music for the children was pretty loud, but they were enjoying themselves. Food is good but I found the fish was rather small for the price (just over £8). If I'd not had two bread rolls, I would have left still feeling hungry! I am rather fussy when it comes to decent portion sizes, so I gave my visit a moderate score.

Llegué a casa sobre el almuerzo y el Suncastle estaba cerca. El edificio en sí era interesante, pero necesitaba un poco de trabajo. Casi ningún cliente, pero mucho personal y bueno y agradable. Pero me temo que Mi lasaña no era agradable y caro. La cerveza estaba bien. Como yo empecé - qué pena.

we loved this pub and we were let in on mobility scooters, even though there was a large seating area outside, I could have a lovely latte and my partner a beer

Had an amazing family meal, the service was top notch the food was gorgeous and plenty, great value for money compliments to the chef and waiter 👍👏👏👏

Llegamos a casa por la tarde, vine aquí para el almuerzo tarde como tal.

No he sido durante años. Pensé que iba a entrar para un bocado ligero y una bebida. El restaurante no ha cambiado un poco! La mujer detrás de la barra parecía que estaba saliendo de sus pies! Aunque el lugar estaba medio vacío! El lugar se podría decorar. El lugar tiene wifi gratis, lo cual es una ventaja! No tuve que esperar mucho tiempo para la comida. La mujer había pasado por el que ella estaba llevando como descanse un mi comida a mi mesa ella podía traerme mi descanse un en cambio tuve que conseguir que yo mismo aunque ella pasado en el camino de vuelta! No puedo conseguir ningún salsas ni nada. Decepcionante, pero volvería para una bebida!

Fuimos por la comida durante el día para el Día del padre.

Decided to have a meal here so our daughter could play in the play area. Food was really nice and good value for money. Daughter loved the play area. However decor was very tired looking and it could do with a good clean.

went in for food empty but 4 members of staff walked past and ignored us before someone finally took are order. food boring and very bland like microwave meals

Visited here with my partner and 2 year old daughter, food is not the best. We paid for our daughter to go in the play area which was ok. Would not return.

How disappointed was we with our visit to the suncastle Easter Monday.Kichen closed early so no puddings available.Last orders called at 9.30 and staff that swear in a place for children absolutely disgusting!!

Very busy in main room with very large TV showing football, a lot quieter in restaurant area, Husband had a burger, said it was quite tough, gammon nice

We went in to the suncastle for something to eat and ended up staying the whole evening. They had a group on called the Brotherhood and they where amazing. really good night.
